302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best 10 altcoin on: January 10, 2018, 12:24:41 PM
I agree that this year is going to be a year of altcoin. As for me Im really conservative person. Im following all projects run by Blockshow and wanna try their new token which is absolutely great..you can use it as a ticket to all their events, for example)

We see that ripple today has been dropped a lot, seems that all those that have recently purchased ripple are covering their lost, but I think that today (Japan time) ripple will be listed in an exchange with over 27 million users which can purchase/trade bitcoin immediately. I'm hoping that the ripple price will be increased today so this is top1 at the moment to invest, then it comes Ethereum which is increasing gradually and slowly but stable.
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: January 10, 2018, 08:09:30 AM
Not only in bitcoin but it is not preferred to invest and hold the funds only to a cryptocoin or to a pleace 100%, what i prefer more is to split the funds into more than one piece and invest in bitcoin and altcoin. Dont put all egs in one basket. Investing 100% in a single coin is risky, you may lose a lot or you may earn a lot, what people are doing are investing in bitcoin as it's easier to buy and then exchanging to other altcoins that are much cheaper!
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Coinmarketcap a scam/fraud? on: January 09, 2018, 11:59:09 PM
I'm surprised that coinmarketcap alone can "manipulate" the market so easily and those that are new into crypto think that they have lost lots of money and to "cover the loss" they are forced to selll their coins which causes a dump and a perfect situation for big fishes to buy. This remembers me when a big fish dumped his coins until to 1 satoshi and then started buying from 1 satoshi and up making him a huge profit and making a panic to the public to sell their coins to cover the losses.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cappuccino for bitcoins - how much should I charge? on: January 09, 2018, 11:50:14 PM
Please don't compare to dollars or any other currency. How do I come to a bitcoin price? Should it be based off of the cost to mine bitcoins?

Not sure if it worth if the clients have to pay the fees which can become 10-50x coffe. I'm not aware of the prices but i would charge 0.00007-0.00015BTC
There are some exception in this way, for example if the merchant and the client have the same wallet type (Xapo-Xapo or Coinbase-coinbase or any other similar service) then there are no fees on transactions and there is not needed any confirmation time for this as it is instant, less worries and pretty happy.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EXCHANGE] Register at UPcoin.com for beta-testing and get your $500 reward on: January 09, 2018, 11:34:13 PM
I want to ask about the $ 500 money where and when can spend the money? what goods can we spend with 500 $? whether we can spend it with tokens

The bonus $500 you receive at registration can be used only to cover your trading fees when trading begins in March 2018.

This is the only purpose of this bonus.

Is the registration for beta testing still open?

Edit: just got registered

Quote
Congratulations, ThunderCatSteve...!
You have $500 in your trading account. This money will be used to cover your exchange fees once exchange opens and you start trading.

I took the survey and the questions were in topic and realistic, I'm excited to become a beta tester and wish all the best to Upcoin exchange.

Here is a simple calculation of the $500 reward:
$500 is equal to 0.03425 BTC which means that you have to trade around 34BTC with 0% fee (if the normal fee for other users is 0.1%)
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Chinese government wants to eliminate the mining companies on: January 09, 2018, 07:34:07 PM
what will happen to the companies producing asics like bitmain?
btw it is a concern for asic mining farms mining bitcoin
i dont think small gpu miners will be affected by this

They will turn to altcoins or in case it is also included then they will change residency, for example Russia? Low cost electricity country or state?.
Gpu mining couldn't be detected easily so it shouldn't be affected easily

GPU or Asics mining consume energy a lot so the government somehow will notice when a neighborhood is consuming additional +KWh more than before (except the small tolerating on the digits). I even saw the map where is clearly specifies that in where countries are the gpu mining more frequented to mine, with all other stats, how many KWh are in average spending for mining and many other stuff. At one side it is true the bitcoin is consuming too much power and the future of cryptocurriencies should not be mining but some other lighter ways.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: APPC (AppCoins) - Not yet listed on coinmarketcap and released yesterday (10X!) on: January 09, 2018, 06:15:44 PM
APPC is listed in binance!!!
Why the coinmarketcap hasn't listed appcoins in their website yet is because they haven't seen any high volume of trading on this coin, I highly believe that once the community and the traders start trading APPC then coinmarket will list this coin in their website and we will see an increase of trading volume as people like to join and invest in new coins because they see a high potential to be richer within a short period of time. I've been checked the price of APPCoin and the price changed very very fast with high pump and dumps which is very risky to invest at this stage.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is HitBTC trustworthy/reliable/quick exchange? on: January 08, 2018, 11:20:40 PM
All the other ones are closed to newcomers.

Binance today has started accepting new users -> "Re-opens Limited User Registrations and Adjusts Referral Program Terms"
I would highly recommend to use Binance rather than HitBtc, hitbtc is having lots of issues with their users and people are waiting for days for their withdrawal request to be processes even though they pay $70 in fees or more (as they increased the fees recently way too much), unfortunately I have moved the funds before happening this drama but I left a small amount there after receiving distributed super btc which I exchanged to bitcoin. In binance you have more coins and more space to trade and the withdrawal limit is 2BTC within 24 hours which is perfect.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year of the "DOGE" on: January 08, 2018, 10:56:37 PM
I never thought that DogeCoin would survive so long even though there is a good community, cheap price af and happy people who are using it.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Travel to Korea to sell Bitcoin with cash, is it possible? on: January 08, 2018, 09:51:17 PM
I see that price for Bitcoin is in North Korea 50% higher than in Europe. I like travelling and I was thinking to travel to North Korea and sell Bitcoin for cash. Is that possible? I was thinking to arrange a deal with couple of persons. They can exchange North Korean won for $ or € in their bank, I send them bitcoin and they give me cash (for cheaper price as they are paying in their country). Or I can go to money exchange office and exchange North Korean won for Euros. Would be that possible, are there any potential problems about that?

You mean South Korean (not North Korea) as it is a very dangerous country and not anyone is allowed to enter their country.
Reading some tweets from many people that have a high influence to the audience I've seen that coinmarket cap has removed some exchanges from their "calculator" to determine the price of a coin. Currently the price of bitcoin in south korea is 23.3k while in usa it is $15k, we see a differnce of 8k per bitcoin, I would really see if someone is doing this by traveling there and selling the bitcoins for cash then exchanging these to usd.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What fork coins can i actually claim? on: January 08, 2018, 09:30:44 PM
I received automatically BCD, BCX, SBTC in binance even though the amount was very low but this was an automated thing that happened from the binance side and I was suprised when I saw these coins on myAccount.html site. Same happened in hitbtc too, received super bitcoin too.
Can I suggest you to keep up to date the first post so people can refer to this post to know which coins they can claim for free from the forks that happened and optionally telling how and where to claim which I learned right not using the bither app which I'm going to check in few hours.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: January 08, 2018, 09:08:08 PM
Byteball is it still being distributed right now or did they stop? I think they will have a new algorithm soon right?

They are expecting to continue in March 2nd, with the same rule as they was in November, but this can be canceled if things doesn't go well and depending on their performance of distributing.

Just checked the price now, almost $800/GB, i never knew it was this highly priced.

It was also before the same price of $800 and I remember when the price hit almost $1000, but then after few months it went to $100s which was really a disappointing situation and a panic selling as almost -90% was the change within a short period of time.

Byteball is really a good coin which a huge potential but we don't see any marketing from their side, and they are only listed in bittrex which is having lots of issues with the support and their users are claiming that their accounts are getting disabled or closed without any valid reason.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON (TRX) Scam on: January 08, 2018, 08:33:42 PM
While studying on coinmarketcap.com about the new altcoin and saw this interesting TRON and its founder Justin Sun. As I know this Justin Sun too well, I could be 100% sure this is 100% scam. If you understand Chinese I'll suggest you do some investigation yourself.

The game they are playing is quite easy to understand: hire some guys to flood bitcointalk forum and in the mean time use a couple of trading bot to do buy/sell themselves, their price and trading volume is  so easy to be manipulated.

TRON is just another scam out of 90% altcoin scams.

I've read more than one bad article about the Tron coin and for its founder or the CEO which seems a young coin but with a good potential, I've read that they are going to have many partnership with many companies but don't know how much true is this. Reading the CEO's tweets he was very optimistic that the TRON will be in the top10 in 2018 and we have seen this in the first days of the current year which is a huge success for the TRON and the TronFoundation, what I don't like are the team behind all chinese.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hey guy got a question about "pump" on: January 08, 2018, 08:11:08 PM
Hey guys,

last days i  got invited to a discord group with 144.000 users. They "pump" coins i havnt even heard about it before. Well i did some research and tryed it one time. I had 14% profit on 1 trade, was it just luck?
does anyone of you guys do "pumps"? Thanks for your info

https://discord.gg/XGqZ544

Since there are 100k+ users then this is risky, because how I think this scheme works is that there are a small group of people that are leading this, what do they do is buy a coin, then post the message that it is a good coin to invest, so the price gets pumped, then they sell at this price by getting a high profit, then they start dumping the price and the last people who "joined lately" this train will get damaged by buying this overpriced coin.

317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i buy btc now or sell? on: December 20, 2017, 08:40:04 AM
hallo guys, i am new to trading btc. and days before the bitcoin gold fork, i was advice to sell my btc (which i did) because it was suspected to drop in price few days to come. But surprisingly, from then till this very moment, btc has been on a continuous rise. now btc is at $7000+ and we are getting close to the next fork in mid-nov. DO YOU GUYS ADVICE I BUY BACK BTC AT THIS CURRENT PRICE OR WAIT for a possible drop in price?

Hope you'd keept the bitcoins, with it's current price you'd like made a 250% profit in less than 2 months.
Yeah holding more will give you more than 500% profit in coming days because prices are now in rising state and no body know how far they will go till the end of this year and you right that everyone has his own analysis and everyone has his own aims to achieve and buying is totally depending on the investor if you have enough capital then invest in now otherwise gather some more because prices will be grow higher.
318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach 20k price point before Christmas on: December 20, 2017, 07:57:43 AM
That is very possible and we are already on the way of that because bitcoin has not stopped amazing people and gaining profit each day every day , just today it gained 7.52% of value which is nearly $15 603 200 000 and it's really a huge figure for just a 24h volume ! . If bitcoin manages to stay this high till the end of the year even if it doesn't reach the 20k i'd be very happy since even if a hard correction comes bitcoin will gain back value very shortly and continue it's journey !
The most important thing is that the price of Bitcoin will increase in price compared to the current price. although it does not reach 20K, but it's been great fun. We can still get a price that's worth it. I think we will all be happy and smiling, especially for those who do have a lot of Bitcoin. This is an opportunity to sell Bitcoin and earn a lot of money. You can imagine when we have a lot of Bitcoin and buy it in 2016, this is really a high percentage increase compared to other investments.
How do you say that it will not reach to the 20k before Christmas, currently prices are at 18.69k and this shows that price will go above 20k soon and maybe in couple of days and those who are waiting for the 20k to sell their coins will soon get their parts and next aim of bitcoin will be ending at 25k+ at the end of this year to give 2k18 a huge start to carry on bitcoin rise occurs in small time and soon you will see 20k on board.
319  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: December 19, 2017, 10:38:58 AM
I will choose bitcoin than gold . Because the value of gold is not really good than bitcoin . Bitcoin is so higher value than gold and everyyear the the value of bitcoin get high and higher .
Gold is an old market trend now for investing your money or making some profit by saving your money. Bitcoin is somehow working on the same principle but the thing is it has modern characteristics. It is easy to handle and offers greater profit than gold.

Gold is highly stable in value whereas bitcoin shows unstable nature and all the time keep increasing in value. This is why I also prefer bitcoin over gold.
Yes, that’s a wise decision because if we really want to be successful in life, we need to change with time and accept the changes wholeheartedly for instance as this question is choosing between gold and bitcoin, all wise men and experts are going to vote for bitcoin.

The reason is very clear because it is the latest market trend. Gold cannot meet the desires and needs of people living in this era of technology.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: December 19, 2017, 10:02:43 AM
Unemployment is a very serious economic problem, most unemployed people do not have the skills and good education so they only hope and work non-formal, the presence of bitcoin can be a solution to reduce unemployment especially if the government is concerned with bitcoin.

Yes, as a rule, unemployment is too high in poor countries where there is no quality education. People are ready to work on the lowest paid work, and those who have the Internet can provide themselves with the help of bitcoin.
Developing and underdeveloped countries are having many problems in their education sectors. There are many people who are studying in developed countries for higher education of good quality who basically belong to these countries.

Due to lack of quality education, they do suffer for good jobs in their practical life. Under such circumstances, bitcoin is indeed a light of hope for them about earning their livelihoods.
