Canan please post your BTC address to receive 500th block finder fee canaan is part of the Avalon group (I think) so they might not take the donation or even monitor this forum. Perhaps kano could intervene if people wish to donate. Well, then I will donate to Kano and -CK first and will hear about canaan-the-500th-block-finder Maybe we keep it going for block 501, 502 etc until someone under 250TH finds a block. I think they would appreciate the donation more then a PH miner. Whatever is decided I'm fine with. Sending .01 to Kano and .01 to CK. Waiting to hear what we decide on the block finder.

Kano.is found 498 blocks now. How are we gonna celebrate block 500 ?? I will send 500 satoshi to the finder of Kano CK Pool Block #500, KANO and -CK if every miner on this pool does this they will get a nice bonus. I guess everybody can afford 1500 satoshi to spend. I'll do the same! Count me in Nice Gestures guys, but 10,000 Satoshi is only 4 pennies and that requires 20 people to opt in. You will need 256,000 satoshi for $1. That will require 512 people to opt in. There's currently only 706 users on Kano pool so even if everyone opt in, that's not much more than a $1. hmm, I didn't calculate.. you are right.. Well, then I will donate 0,005 BTC which is ± $2. I hope others will donate too, we owe it to Kano and -CK for all their hard work. I'm in for .01 each as suggested. To Kano, CK and 500th block maker! Thats .03 and I have certainly done better then PPS here as everyone has.

Nothing major, but if your doing any work on the rewards page and specifically the reports you can run. Just thinking that if you run a report for say Jan, get the totals at the bottom if would be cool to see the reports range totals compared to PPS earning. So you can quickly see if the period you selected is above or below PPS. Since you already show PPS on the days totals, if might be pretty easy to display the PPS earning for a report range and compare to your actual earning.
Thanks,
Yes, I was planing on doing that. I was looking at it the other night, but got distracted with other things. Zachm, How much do I need to donate to get the non-ads version of your site? Currently there is no "non-ads" version of the site. I will look into that and maybe just make it donation based. Meaning if you have sent any donation I will remove the ads for you, any amount, people could even do a little mining to my account if they wanted. I just threw the ads on there to help cover my hosting/server cost. I think my hosting/server cost with the HTTPS is around $10 a month. I think the ads are only making around $5-$6 a month. I donated already and will certainly send another .1 for the add free version. If you get enough donation says $100 or more per month, can you upgrade the hosting to make the site more responsive? Maybe a $50 package? Heck, give me the requirements and I'll give you a EC2 medium instance.

One question would it make more sense on the reward page to flip them? Show newest block first?
Any way on the rewards page that the newest is at the top vs. the oldest? If you have a lot of history I always look at the newest data anyway and have to scroll to the bottom of page while entering new blocks on top of page. Maybe a user selectable sort option?
Thanks,
I set this up very simply for right now. Defaults to Newest on top, users can click a link on top of the table and the page will reload in the other order. Excellent - Thank you!

At the risk of sounding repetitive, thanks phillipma1957 for yet another successful group buy. I'm wondering if the new hash rate for the "version 2" Avalons has more to do with the firmware updates than the string design. Here is a screen cap of my "Version 1" Avalon with the latest version firmware (MM & Ras Pi B) at 12.2 volts. http://imgur.com/QyHqL8qSeems I'm achieving the same results as "version 2" with lower volts using Jabber's/Finksy 4k watt PSU If that's not the case, if I'm pulling 3.9 THs from a version 1 that's rated at 3.5 THs, then I should pull 4.2-4.3 THs from a version 2 Avalon with 3.8-3.9 THs hashing average. Can't wait till these bad boys/girls arrive! What exact versions are you running on both? Trying to decide if to update my version 1 miners to what you have running. My PSU is feeding 12.1 in most cases and running getting 3.4 on avg.

I'd not be surprised if the hash rate jump was rental - so no idea if it's short term or not.

If the hash was rental, someone was paying .0099 for it. Both sides of nicehash was all rented by one guy, over 10ph for .0099. Crazy!

Debating moving my 2 PH over here. Would be nice if the pool could attract a critical mass to lower variance.
Any genius ideas to entice other large farms?
Well its been a couple days, so what did you decide on moving your 2PH? Maybe like a week or 2 ago..... I bumped thread with my secondary account. judypug1956 I just got off the phone with Yan. He will provide me with tracking this evening. He is aware of our payments made for the 18 units total. he said these should do 3600gh to 3700 gh at .3 watts per gh standard voltage. So for those of you with an evga 1300 g2 these should be good to go. now I have an interesting sidebar piece of info. Kipper01 was nice enough to burn a mini sdcard that would work in the rasp pi model 2 the newest model. I have been running my 2 ½ avalon 6's and the fans and temps have been reworked with this card. What do you mean by fans and temps have been reworked on this version of software. The 3 I have I am running at 30%min fan to keep temps at 66-70. I thought the 72-77 was a little high with auto fan and 20% min setting. The metal brackets right around the fan were hot enough to cause a burn if held for more then 10-20 seconds. My ambient temp is 65f and miner reads incoming temp as 28-29. So just curious what this custom version provides from what was shipped.

not a good day to start mining on kano-too many blocks that did not count for me in any way. also, what is hash rate vs share rate ? why they are so different? which one counts?
Hash rate is all that matters. Also block friday comes every week so don't worry about the low 5nd rewards right now. Are you sure? Then why "hash rate" data on the account interface is so low in comparison with the "share rate" "share rate" is more like what i see in anminer gui. The hash rate is an avg over at least a few hours while share rate is realtime. Give it a few hours and compare again.

Ok, once you have a worker hashing to the pool, how long does it take to see it listed in your account?
Immediately after 1st share found by this worker. than, it is weird because i see nothing (no workers) in the account after half an hour, but miners are active. ... are you mining to the account or to the address? i had addresses already, now made an account, then made addresses priority 1 in S7. i don't see anywhere in account settings where i can paste my "preexisting" worker names-maybe you can elaborate on how it could be done. i can see hashing if i use address (like http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb), but not in account You have to use your account on the s& setup account.workername Then your account will show all the workers if you use different worker names for each miner but all with same account name. No need to use BTC address, just enter address in your account on Kano for payouts.

Should I install this version or just stay with test flight beta and run that? I'd see updates in the test flight version before public version I assume but just checking.
Great Job! Please post your BTC for donations. Should also post that within the app to make it easy.
stay with testflight. the donation address [1CKaPP1wSBBfqhJB5uE7QBqyvEf2EBSjQe] is in my signature on on the first post of the forum topic (edit: apple has policies against donation button - easy rejected - i'll tack it in at some point once i figured it out). big shout out to all those who sent me test api addresses and beta users. Done and sent. Thanks.

Are you at a PPS pool now? With your 2ph we would be around 15ph which I think would attract more hash but I believe 16ph is 3 blocks per day and if your looking to 90%pps over a week that should be very attainable.

EVGA 1300 G2's are perfectly fine with S7's. I've run Batch 1's, Batch 6's@ 4.5TH with zero issues. I've also run a few sets of 2x S5's overclocked to 1.25TH each for months with zero issues per EVGA 1300 G2.
Yeah but thats 1220~1300W at the wall. With B8 and B9 S7's, what Bitmain is selling right now, you're looking at 1415~1480W at the wall depending on PSU efficiency. So still fine, but very limit. The efficiency of those is about 0.3J/GH/s with gold efficiency, versus 0.25J/GH/s of the early S7 batches. Yes, I'd buy a B2, B3, B6, B7 over the current new crap. Here is what I am getting on the B2 OC'ed to 600 and pulling 1215w

OK, thanks. How about a EVGA 1300 running 2 boards and a CX750 running a board and the controller? Do you think this may work. The reason I ask is because I currently run 7 s3s, a s2 and a s5 on ~4200 watts. (3 evga 1300 and 2 CX750) I want to upgrade to 3 s7s which will put me in about the same wattage but I don't really want to buy too many more PSUs. Think I can make this work?
I think the S2 has a 1000w PSU in there that you could use as well. Nope. I bought the s2 used. It had an EVGA 1500 watt PSU. I thought that was a bonus until it burned up. (wasn't as great as i thought) I replaced it with a 1300. That's where the 3rd 1300 comes from. I plan on keeping the s5, so I need 1 of the cx750s that I am running. I am hoping I can get away with just buying 2 more of the 750s. I'm not trying to cut corners but at the same time I don't want to spend any more than I have to. I figure with the PSUs I have I should be able to get away with just buying 2 more 750s. I hope. I am running 3 S'7 on the EVGA 1300's, but they are Batch2, 4.66 units. But I do have them OC'ed to 600 and getting 4.85 steady with .0001err on all 3. I am running the 3 boards on the 1300's and a CX750 to power the 3 controllers. Works great. Pulling 1215w per miner, again thats without the controller and fan. I have fans hard set at 28% for low RPM and quiet. The 3 feed my HVAC for heat and also works great, the fan on the HVAC runs 24x7 and does create a bit of negative air pressure to help suck the hot air out of the miners. See picture How do you duct them into the furnace? Dryer vent hoses? You can see in the pics, I just cut a rectangular opening in the side of the intake, right before the blower and filter and placed miners right against the opening. No need for hoses or anything. I used sheet metal shears, cut 3 of the sides and folded inward. In the summer I will pull the sheet metal back and tape with metal duct tape they use on duct work.
