Ok, once you have a worker hashing to the pool, how long does it take to see it listed in your account?

Immediately after 1st share found by this worker.

than, it is weird because i see nothing (no workers) in the account after half an hour, but miners are active.

... are you mining to the account or to the address?

i had addresses already, now made an account, then made addresses priority 1 in S7.
i don't see anywhere in account settings where i can paste my "preexisting" worker names-maybe you can elaborate on how it could be done.
i can see hashing if i use address (like http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb), but not in account

You have to use your account on the s& setup

account.workername

Then your account will show all the workers if you use different worker names for each miner but all with same account name. No need to use BTC address, just enter address in your account on Kano for payouts.

It basically forces you (if you made an account) to use YOURaccountname.workername or youraccountname_yourworkername setting in S7 gui, but i already HAVE kano/ck pool worker setting in S7 (before I even created an account). Why can't I use the same setting AND mine to newly created account? 
I admit that it is probably less safe.
It is a minor nuisance, but i have already dozens of these worker names and want to make as few new ones as possible, that's all.
i will do it, of course, if i have to.

You are not obligated to create account and use workers with username.  You may continue to use BTC address for mining if you want, payouts will be the same - but no detailed stat, just text string like http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb

Any of these 2 options for your choice.

Oh, yeah. I see what you mean. That's rather odd.
I do hope its just a glitch and not an orphan, stale or unworthy block.

Wonder if Kano will be woken by alarms going off or if its just that ckdb memory issue he mentioned. Shifts haven't updated yet either but guessing all stats will reload when its fixed.

Interestingly on blockhain.info the transaction fees look like this:

Transaction Fees   $ -9,447.00

Looking at previous Kano blocks that field is usually around 150 dollars.  Wonder if something didn't truly flake out since that # matches the block reward exactly.

edit: then again this could a blockchain.info issue too.  I don't know well enough.
