PayPal Reaches 85% of Binance.US Volume in First Month

What will happen in next 3-6 months 😱

https://cryptobriefing.com/paypal-reaches-85-binance-us-volume-first-month/

Personally for me it was really unexpected to learn someday news about PayPal and crypto. But nevertheless the most unexpected thing for me was that lots of people are interested in using it, despite other even more profitable and suitable resources and services. Is it the part of some piar or may be it is a good step towards crypto the nearest future will show us, I am sure.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any online jewellery stores that accept btc? on: November 15, 2020, 08:13:17 PM
So I've been looking for a while, cannot find any, I'd be happy with a jewellery store that has purchasable gift cards with btc from a 3rd party similar too bitrefill.

Thank you.

https://www.marks-jewelers.com/
https://www.reeds.com/bitcoin.html
https://bitpay.com/directory/precious-metals/

These are shops that do accept bitcoin.

Have you ever personally tried yo buy something there online? Via BTC or via other way of paying? What about the quality of the jewelry that they offer? Personally I have never bought golden or silver things online, I prefer to see the physical thing and touch it, or even try it on in case it is possible. So it is interesting for me. Can you share your experience with us?
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can people rebel against bitcoin? on: November 14, 2020, 10:47:43 AM
I can tell you that the number of people love and support bitcoin is much less than the number of people who rebel or hate bitcoin.

There are many reasons why they hate or rebel bitcoin: They don't like the bitcoin blockchain and its revolution by decentralization can destroy the centralized financial markets and their interests. Or in other cases, they don't like bitcoin because their hesitation and doubt prevent them to invest in bitcoin when price was cheap, a few cents. Now when they are looking back, they are jealous with the others who believe in, invest in and get profits from bitcoin investment.

You are quite right, that lots of people just jealous others, who did not loose such an opportunity and invested in Bitcoin when it was perfect time to do. There are some percentage of people hate it or do not love Bitcoin, because of their losses and their not wise steps. But mostly people do not hate it, but are indifferent and just are not interested in Bitcoin or any investment ehatever it is. And in my personal opinion the amount of Bitcoin lovers is growing every year step by step according to the amount of different forums and projects, that is good)
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal finally allowed BTC on: November 14, 2020, 07:19:37 AM
Why most of us insist on saying PayPal has some shading stuff behind; is there actions against some certain happenings. Have you read their TOS of this their buy and sell of Bitcoin service? please, kindly do to know what they are up-to. They have a very bogus TOS and i personally won't take that from PayPal, i rather buy from exchange than buy through PayPal service, period.

Yes, you are quite right. Personally I do not use PayPal, in my country there is no such an opportunity. But even in case it was, I would not use PayPal for buying or especially holding crypto currency. Their policy is too strict, and today they accept it, and the next day they rapidly may change and your assets may be blocked on the indefinite period. Of course there is everywhere such a risk, but I would rather use different exchanges or other wallets, being more confident and use my assets with better terms.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know the difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin? on: November 13, 2020, 11:18:21 AM
As I was completing a survey about an hour ago, there was some mention about the distinction between Bitcoin spelt with capital B, and bitcoin with a lowercase b. Although I have heard about this before, and I usually pay a lot of attention to spelling and punctuation, I have to admit that I have totally forgotten about this.

When we talk about Bitcoin as a blockchain, payment method, or a service, we are supposed to spell the word with an uppercase B.

Here is an example:
My best friend doesn't see the advantages of Bitcoin.

When we talk about the currency or mention numbers and quantitates of the asset, the word should be spelt with a lowercase b.

Here is an example:
I sent my best friend 1 bitcoin as a birthday gift.

Do you pay attention to this while you are posting on the forum?

Good post! It is good to learn new information or clarify something, and of course it is great when people use different words or abbreviations correctly. But very often people communicating do not pay too much attention to such things. Because in my opinion this nuance of the using Bitcoin or bitcoin, or BTC even does not influence on the meaning of yhe text greatly in fact. It is like you will write Ethereum or ethereum, or ETH. Or something like Dollar or dollar, or $. Or something like Number or number and so on. It is the same like "I am going to" or "gonna"... Of course I try to use Bitcoin/bitcoin/BTC correctly in most cases, but not always. May be for some article or website information it is very important really, but for ordinary communication between forumers it will not play substantial role. Because the most important is the content of the message to my mind.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the golden opportunity, now what?? on: November 13, 2020, 10:53:40 AM
I am in marketing field for a long time but I gave a little attention to BTC. Now I am  studying about bitcoin. What I got is that a concept which rises from ashes to heavens. But the main aspect which make me to think twice before entering the btc is its high volatility and also I fell prey to the negative views. And when I further watched btc then I got amazed that btc is getting more adaptable day by day. Then I suddenly realised that if anybody would have purchased btc in bulk in the start (In pennies)  and let assume he forgets but now he suddenly  acquainted with his btc then OMG he would have "massive money", cannot imagine.
Lol it's just a thinking but the morale is that I have missed the biggest opportunity and I accept that it's a blunder for not participating positively in btc.

You can not even imagine how many people bought BTC at the very beginning and really forgot about this fact and one day they became millionaires. And how many people lost their keys or gadgets and were too upset when saw the BTC's price after some time. Of course it is really lost opportunities and you should not regret, it will not help you to earn something 🙂😉 just nowadays make conclusions and make steps towards new chances.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 13, 2020, 10:42:10 AM
The world of investing has long been accused of being a male-dominated “old-boys club”. Women in this environment frequently complain that they are frozen out, treated badly or have to work harder than men to make good.

So you would have thought that the 21st century’s developing fetch scene might have leveled the playing field between the sexes. However, evidence suggests the rush to online finance platforms and investments has done nothing to boost equality.

Instead, the digitally driven world of artificial intelligence, Bitcoin and blockchain is as sexually unbalanced as the banking, property and commodity markets industries that preceded it. Tech industries are inherently male-dominated for reasons that include boys being introduced to gadgets at a younger age, leading to just 16% of computer science undergraduates being female.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies first became popular in the geekiest parts of the tech and finance industries, both male-dominated. The early word was spread mainly on Reedit and forums for discussing video games.

In my personal opinion ithe male domination is not only in the Crypto world, but historically it is so in all directions of our life and business. It does not depend on wheather it is Bitcoin's World or Dollar's. But nowadays there is such a tendency it’s not a nuisance for women who have a strong desire to earn and be engaged in the BTC and other crypto world. And there are lots of women who are just holders, traders or really successful leaders in this direction. I do not see any infringements or restrictions for women here.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: November 12, 2020, 04:04:15 PM
Even there wouldn't fiat currencies, but there will be some national digital currencies that will lead the national economy. So everything will be calculated via national currencies. Milk price, fuel price, or rent supposed to calculate via national digital currency. It couldn't be fixed at the BTC price since it's much volatile. We can't stop volatility due to huge demand if in case there is no fiat (real) money. There should be something to measure the Bitcoin price, which is stable. Then all product prices would be fixed into that and pay bitcoin accordingly.

Yes, it is quite hard to imagine something like BTC or ETH completely instead of fiat money. I mean it would be collapse. Something digital but controlled by the governmental institutions is required. For example taxes - to pay taxes in BTC for example is just hardly imaginable thing. Or salaries and lots of alike things. And it should be total digitalization throughout the whole world including those territories where people even do not know what the Internet is, and lots of pensioners should use those digital gadgets easily in order to buy some potatoes or onion on the market.
309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can you rate trust wallet? on: November 11, 2020, 11:54:46 AM
is it safe for me to store my coins in trust wallet or i should let it in savings account in binance?

In my opinion there is no guarantee that your assets will be completely secured while keeping them on wallets or exchanges. Even the good reputation of the concrete service can not save your assets from hack attacks. I would remember about it. And may be the bigger part of the amount I would keep on cold wallet. But according the Binance and Trust Wallet I would say that personally I like these services, nothing bad had happened to my assets during the whole period I am using them. But I prefer to keep on this wallet amounts that I am not afraid to lose despite this wallet is trustworthy to my mind and I like it very much.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loan to buy Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2020, 01:56:45 PM
I'm buying ~500$ in Bitcoin every month with part of my salary. I have a stable job and my company is doing good. I'm wondering if it worth to take 20.000$ to buy 2 BTC now and pay the 500$ as loan installment instead of buying sats every month. I believe in the potential of Bitcoin to reach 50k in a couple years, but it wouldn't be possible to buy near half of BTC at the 500$ rate, so this would be something like an "advance". Hypothetically (but still possible in some probability), if BTC collapses and never recover from 8k, I would still be paying this loan for about 3 years but wouldn't starve or something like that, it would just sux for a while, since I still have another source of income. I know it's not the place to ask I will do whatever I think it's best, but if you were in my position, would you do it?

You know, it is only uour personal choice what to do with your assets and money. And may be you are quite right in theory. But very often the scenario that we imagine in our heads appears quite another in yhe real life. I know personally people that tried to sell cars or something else in order to buy BTC and in such a way to earn more snd even to buy new car and so on. And circumstances changed and yhey lost assets, jobs, and opportunities to get back it again. So there is a risk to lose and it is high. You should think twice before taking loans and so on. The golden rule for investor - to invest assets that are not the last on your wallet and it is better to invest such an amount that you are ready to lose without any pain in your heart or headache 😉
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: November 09, 2020, 05:35:06 PM
I do notice that some people naturally don’t allow bitcoin in any of their daily transactions even when it faster and easier, they still don’t prefer using it, I have noticed this a lot, Some classes of human,Sometimes when they are to receive money from another country like international transfer sometimes it takes 2 3 days to arrive,They will advise them to use bitcoin and they still don’t accept it even it faster and easier. Now how come we make bitcoin come to people.

May be people do not use it because of the fear to loose assets, becuse they even do not try to understand how to use crypto or BTC, how to buy it or sell, how to use digital services for transactions. may be some people do not use it because of high transaction fees or it is just forbidden to use something like crypto in their country. but in most cases people just do not see other opportunities and just use may be more slowly but more clear way of transactions to them, they do what they used to do.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unique to man. on: November 09, 2020, 05:22:49 PM
There is a whole lot to discuss about bitcoin but the mind blowing aspect is its being the world first digitalized currency and decentralized at that, How interesting to know and Its worth basically comes from being the first digital currency that has no human organization or authority to control. It’s has so much become common that anyone can buy, sell or receive it .In our world today a Bitcoiner  is a great investor and has good savings without no limit.

Bitcoin isn’t just safe to keep your funds but it keeps you in charge of your funds. despite the fact that bitcoin is a decentralized currency many human organizations and Authorities still seek for it and use it a means transactions (sending and receiving). I have no doubt that with these uniqueness the future of bitcoin is bright and promising for those who puts interest in it.

I've caught your idea in your post. And of course agree that BTC is a unique and really revolutionary thing that has happened to us in this century. But I can not agree that the Bitcoin holder or someone who has assets in BTC has got savings with no limits. First the price is always changing and this is the most important thing that investor should remember. Second - some countries still keep some limitations and regulations for those who prefer to use crypto. So of course Bitcoin is a great thing, but only for those who hold it wisely and keep on touch with all the changes on the whole market.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you think 2020 couldn't get any weirder on: November 09, 2020, 11:25:21 AM
“It may be a partial store of value because unlike thousands others (what I call s***coins) it cannot be so easily debased because there is at least an algorithm that decides how much the supply of Bitcoin raises over time.”

Yeap. Though this dude's still calling Bitcoin "not centralized" and such, quite weird seeing dudes like him actually giving bitcoin at least a bit of recognition.

P.S. Sorry for the bad title. I'm just too baffled.

I would not take into consideration statements from such guys like this one or some other so-called "expert", it is only his personal opinion. And it does not depend wheather his opinion is negative or positive. You can be the expert no worse than him. 😁🙂 Too many people try to use the BTC in their posts and articles in order to attract the attention to their person and that is all. I think this man is not the exception. May be he needs high ratings or something else.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to answer when asked "Can I make money mining bitcoin?" on: November 09, 2020, 11:15:33 AM
What do you even answer when someone asks "can I make money mining bitcoin?" I mean the answer for me is a clear "maybe". There's just too much things to consider imo, electricity costs, initial investment, maintenance (not very much but still has to be factored in), I guess what I want to ask is for some insight from someone that mines bitcoin, is there any bitcoin mining who can shed some light what is needed to make even marginal profit off of bitcoin mining assuming you don't live in places like China or Venezuela where electricity is cheap?

I ask just so that I can be prepared when I get asked this again, I keep hearing it and I hate it that I'm not prepared enough in this side of bitcoin as I've never personally mined crypto.

I am afraid that this question is a bit late, because mining was profitable, but it was not so profitable just for everyone. Nowadays even in case you find such places in the countries you mentioned like China or Venezuela where you will be able to use cheap electricity, it will be hard to use them, because it may be hard to find free spaces, too many are occupied by different mining BTC' monsters. Comparing with early years nowadays it is not so profitable to mine BTC, too many nuances may become problematic.
315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can A Chrome app be a malwware and steal your private keys? on: November 09, 2020, 11:01:22 AM
I store my privates keys in gmail is this possible that I installed a malware (chrome app) that can read it?    Huh

It is a pity, that you disregard the fact that every online app or service is not protected and too vulnerable for hack attacks. Of course you shoukd not keep your private information there - especially keys or passwords to wallets. You should remember this rule like your name or date of birth. Everything is good till nothing bad has happened. So it is better to to be safe than sorry about your lost assets.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use bitcoin? on: November 09, 2020, 10:46:27 AM
There are many countries where bitcoin is not accepted legally, so how do you use bitcoin in that country? Usually if you raise the level of bitcoin use in that country then you may get into legal trouble.
So how do you use your earned bitcoin in that country.

In my country BTC and crypto is not forbidden and I cannot say that it is widely accepted. Lots of people prefer to hold it or to use it without shouting - wow, I use Bitcoins. And it is hard to find services for masses where you can use it, mostly in the Internet, or just in personal arrangements. Personally I believe that some day the situation will be more interesting and profitable for crypto holders and crypto users in my country. But nowadays it is used by some percentage of people interested in crypto, and there is still too many people that even did not try to learn about crypto.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 07, 2020, 07:41:13 PM
I'm considering to possibly add Bitcoin and other altcoins as a way to pay for goods purchased on my online store.

Is this a good idea? Are there any risks (other than the volatility)?

Is anyone really going to use this?

I'm afraid that my customers may not be much into cryptos, but I guess that it's hard to tell until you try ...
I also have some doubts on the technical side.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

It depends on the aim of your idea what you expect from it accepting the crypto as the means for payments. There are already lots of services where you can use crypto and people use this opportunity in case it is suitable for them, and these services just give such opportunity. But there is always choice to use it or not. And nobody consider it like something unusual or technically problematic. Yes, of course there are risks like volatility, but for those who know about different nuances it is not a problem at all, services just in this case give another alternative variants.
