later today on my site, i will be adding a Column on how many BTC coins have been wagered. on your site today it says 103.4 BTC wagered.

a few days ago i saw the stat as 1241 BTC wagered. if its a mistake on my end i'm sorry.

No it is not, the stats on the website are all over the place; they mean different things one day compared to an other and they count the amount wagered in the "competition" or not..

3003  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 31, 2014, 04:59:49 PM
I don't mind the exchange falling as long as the rates per post we get stay the same. I'll just hodl until they're high again so nothing is lost.

Me neither and as long as they don't change the rates during a campaign even if the price goes up a lot

I was wondering how much were making the members posting the most when the first signature campaigns arrive on bitcointalk, it was probably not that hard to make 1btc/month on some campaigns
3004  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS .85 BTC (Accepting PayPal/Skrill) on: March 31, 2014, 04:56:24 PM
Or he somehow makes the unexpecting go first, using the fact it is PayPal as leverage.

What do you mean by using Paypal as leverage?

I think I will just keep my paypal money and buy btc with an other mean, especially since buying btc with paypal has a 10% premium!!!
3005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: March 31, 2014, 02:56:37 PM
You probably make around 100BTC/month net from your fees so may not "need" to run away and create more troubles to yourself..

Where did you get 100BTC/month from?  Which fees?  From what I understand, Dooglus makes money from commision the bank (the people invested) makes.  If the website makes a profit over a week, Dooglus gets 10% commission on net investment profits if and when investments are divested.  If the website doesn't make a profit and people divest, he makes nothing (which has happened a lot).

Am I understanding this incorrectly?

He was taking about expected profit.

For 100.000 BTC wagered he receives an expected 100 BTC.
There are 5000000BTC wagered and the site is opend since June or so, thus leading to more than 100.000BTC wagered per month...

5,000,000 wagered

Profit is written at 15,000BTC so 10% of that is 1500BTC-costs, by the way the website has been that unlucky?? Only getting 0.15% of the total wagered?

yawn...same old story over & over. please search for the nakowa incident. it has been discussed at great length.

So I understand that the website has not recovered since nakowa wins, 15,000btc instead of 50,000btc seems like a huge difference on 5,000,000wagered
3006  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES FOR APRIL ★★★ on: March 31, 2014, 02:46:59 PM
At what time will you be couting the posts we made in the month being as you dont want us to pm you what we think we should be getting paid? Just so my accounting makes sense. Thanks

Probably a bit before the time he will pay so a bit before : "April 1st around 11 am Ca time USA."

RitzGrandCasino, can you confirm my starting post count will be 1036 as there was a misunderstanding when I registered for this month campaign; you can check it in my previous posts : March 20, 2014, 03:48:45 PM; thanks a lot; we can't wait to get our payments and prove to Bitcointalk you are as trustworthy as your casino is

EDIT : The end of the campaign is most probably Mars 31 midnight CA time
3007  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS .85 BTC (Accepting PayPal/Skrill) on: March 31, 2014, 02:39:24 PM
User is a scammer. Check his trust ratings! Do NOT do business with this person!

Oh thanks I didn't click on "untrusted feedback"

How can someone sc.am with paypal if you can charge back?
He spends the money before it is charge back and he does it through a false account?? I would get back my money anyway
3008  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Bitcoin before it goes up! This is huge news! Pin! Chinese rushing to buy on: March 31, 2014, 02:35:14 PM
The price was never really $1200 because it only existed on MtGox. At the time, the price was around $1000 everywhere else. I think the only people buying at those inflated prices on MtGox were people desperate to get their funds off the exchange since fiat was restricted.

And the people selling at 1200$ on gox probably didn't get their fiat..
3009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Bitcoin before it goes up! This is huge news! Pin! Chinese rushing to buy on: March 31, 2014, 02:31:43 PM
This might be the right time to buys some bitcoins

On the other hand the way prices are drowning this might even go down

No one knows whats coming tomorrow

Now is clearly a much better time to buy than when the price was $1,200
Holding is not a profitable strategy. Selling at 1,200, then buying at 450...now there's a good outcome.
..you end up with nearly three times as many bitcoins!

On the other hand, most people, and I mean more than 90% of the members, would have more btc now if they just bought and hold than what they did

The early adopters that had huge stacks at the end of 2013 and were in a position to make a huge profit were those who were extremely strong believers of Bitcoin and never sold in the previous spike up in price and those who forgot about their bitcoins; of course if you have a successful Bitcoin business or if you were a successful trader or person who had informations you could have increase your btc holdings tremendously but for the vast majority buying&holding has the most ev

Holding always work; you buy and you hold : it's easy and you will probably have the most profit

EDIT 460$!

How can you say that after four months of declines that have reduced the price of a BTC from $1,200 to about $450?

I am saying that it is a good strategy to buy and hold for long term instead of playing trends and playing the markets if you are not a trader, you are more likely to sell low and buy high than the opposite

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg5998518#msg5998518

Tout n'est pas perdu..  ? Tongue

3011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin will go down on: March 31, 2014, 02:24:31 PM
I dont think any goverment can kill Bitcoin. Sure they can do some damage but Bitcoin have great comunity and he will recover. Look how BTC will stand after USA wakes up and discover cheap BTC for investing.

what usa? ppl or establishment (gov and corps)? one side wants new opportunities the other the status quo. (is money what we are trying to mess here) not listening to music or watching porn... THIS IS THE REAL DEAL

thanks to snowden we know how big is the surveillance infrastructure

to me gov can make illegal to own bitcoin and limit internet traffic anytime (with any excuse that sheeple will accept)

will not be a smooth ride to 100k

If that ever happens, that means the economy has crashed and burned. In that event it would probably be better to invest in canned meat and beans and a few tons of oil and gasoline

it would mean the us economy has crashed and it will when its currency crashes; it will hopefully make a come back because there are a lot of positive things in the usa : natural ressources, innovation, hard workers along with the worst : people that will never work, huge liabilities, central banksters
when the us economy will crash, it may not crash to the point where it's a civil war, riots everywhere and martial law, it can crash badly but still have the same society and a lot of countries will benefit from the end of the USD, those countries may buy a lot of btc
3012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 31, 2014, 02:19:24 PM
Also 50000 CNY is almost 6 grand in € which is not much to some of us western middle class spoiled people but it is a lot to small Chinese worker class that is desperate for investing into stores of value that are not debased/stolen by their own government.

You are right there are A LOT of rich chinese people, there is more people in China living with the average european salary than in Europe but I think the chinese middle class is also buying btc, there are saving like they will not earn anything for the rest of their life : way more than 50% of their salary and some like btc
China is a nation that produces a lot and saves a lot, that makes me think of the usa before they became communist
It's not the Chinese working class who are buying BItcoin. Its the Chinese rich (maybe with questionable sources) who have much more money than the European middle class. Hence why the biggest property owners in cities like London are.... Chinese private investors. You're living in the dark ages. Chinese people have money and they want to burn it. Many have a LOT of money to burn.

See all the visa schemes aimed at Chinese, where they can buy a passport for places like Australia or Canada if they can spare maybe a few hundred thousand dollars? Yeh, they're over-run and Canada had to decline everyone because so many Chinese have that much cash sitting around. It's totally absurd to even mention the Chinese workers.

3013  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: buybitcoins.com on: March 31, 2014, 05:04:36 AM

Oh I just got it  Grin

The price is 526USD on the alleged sc.am website instead of 465USD on btc-e; a 13.1% premium not to get your BTC...You would think he'd offer a cheaper price if he doesn't send the btc

He gets so few orders these days he doesn't always bother to update the prices?

It is changing but there is alway a big premium compared to exchanges : 531USD now

He may not sc.am every customer
3014  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: buybitcoins.com on: March 31, 2014, 04:48:42 AM
He is offering btc at 547USD atm instead of 470USD on btc-e!! When it is too good to be true...

3015  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Make more than $32k? You are a one percenter on: March 31, 2014, 04:45:48 AM
According to http://www.globalrichlist.com/ if you make more than $32,000 you are among the richest people in the world.

Also if you have more than 1400 bitcoins you can consider yourself among the wealthiest 1% in the world along with the Rockafellers and Venderbuilts.

This is a clear reminder of how poor most of the world is.

Oh wow that was so well put that I had to quote it and point out for anyone else who may have missed your post.  That is such a great example of how bad things really are.  I commend you for hitting the nail right on the head.

-If you are interested by the subject watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znpjVWNjym0 and tell me if you learn something

It shows you that people earning less than 1$/day have a very different life from people earning 5$/day

-In 1947 the average salary in purchasing power and after taxes was higher than it is today in the states : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHDcl5aiGus

Without the spending of the state corruption and bad government regulations, the average salary would be WELL over 100,000$ after taxes
3016  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Bitcoin before it goes up! This is huge news! Pin! Chinese rushing to buy on: March 31, 2014, 04:21:00 AM
Price is up ~$30 today, either it's a natural rebound or something is indeed up. If those threads claiming big buys in China are for real, looks like we have the start of a bull market. Good timing too, there's been quite a dour atmosphere around here lately.

Let's not get to excited, shall we? 24h ago the price was 484USD and it is 468USD now on btc-e and it was only a few dollars more when you posted

Everyone is waiting for a huge bull market after this crash so we should have a huge bull market

Yes i am also sensing slow recovery. When i went for sleep i thought price will further drop to $400. But after wake up i saw price increased little bit. My advice is don't panic and hold your BTC.

Holding always work; you buy and you hold : it's easy and you will probably have the most profit

EDIT 460$!

just tries with the free BTC from faucet and the roll button gets stuck, anyone else have this problem?

It doesn't work for me either; I bet but it is written : "Apparently some people have done their homework", I feel like I tried everything to make it work; well, let's move on!

Thanks for the tip

It is too bad he has a good address name but if you bought by VISA you can charge back easily, can't you?
3019  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy BTC with Interrac online in Canada on: March 31, 2014, 04:02:41 AM
Perhaps try quickbt since your looking at a small amount can do a test transaction with your account if you use online banking
https://quickbt.com/ca/?

0.15BTC is 79CAD with btc-e price and they ask 82CAD, it is actually a good price atm

I did one transaction with them yesterday but I still don't have the BTC! If I get it to work, I will use them

I have used them before myself they usually give you a confirmation phone call the first time you make a purchase with them so just keep track of when it will come in Smiley

Just the other day lol
https://blockchain.info/address/1EByjy9e4FeGZuTV4Rx5hbf4PnFt7jGh8M

They will probably call on Monday then, their customer service is only open Mon to Frid, I received an email answer to my question on Saturday though...

If you have a good history of deposits with them, they will allow you to buy more than 0.15BTC/day

0.15BTC on btc-e is 79.27CAD*1.02=80.85CAD, you get it for 82.26CAD on quickbt; there may be some other fees associated with buying on btc-e and quickbt doesn't update automatically and immediatly their price so you can actually get some BTC cheaper on quickbt than on an exchange if you buy right after the price on exchanges went up

They probably auto buy a certain amount of btc and sell it at a fixed price with a margin, the price change when they sold everything and need to buy more
3020  Other / Off-topic / Re: Chinese Order To Close Bitcoin Exchanges (Found On Pastebin!) on: March 31, 2014, 03:51:19 AM
Chinese are very clever, They know that Bitcoin is going to blast so they always want rumors and in such rumors everywhere will be panic sell but whenever we notice about buy cheapest bitcoin is been bought in China then ever anywhere,

How do you know they are buying atm?

If it is true it is very bullish for BTC short term
