Dfinity, the creator of the decentralized computing network Internet Computer, has sued Meta for trademark infringement on the infinity symbol. I just read the news. How about you guys?

What's happening with ICP? I remember it was one of the most hyped projects of 2019 they never had an ICO as they had already raised enough money in their private sale. I also remember everyone was applying for their airdrop at that time. I do not think their product is still ready after so many years. They should concentrate on their project first rather than going after big companies for small issues. After listing ICP got dumped really hard and to date, it is being dumped.

Same as that we see in the FIFA, cricket needs to be encouraged with more countries. Different levels of qualifiers needs to be conducted, so to give opportunity to new teams. Playing with limited number of teams shrunk the fanbase within specific countries and cricket will be termed as the sport of specific regions. With the T20 leagues more countries have slowly started to practice cricket.

These new teams that are playing the T20 format will not be able to play ODI or Test cricket. All three formats are very different and require different skills. T20 has been beneficial in the growth of cricket but a country cannot only play T20 they need players to play other formats. Unfortunately, there are hardly any players outside the known teams that can play. I think slowly T20 will kill other formats of cricket no matter how hard ICC tries in the future.

What is the most possible outcome of today's match between GT and PBKS? Of course, all predictions are with GT itself, since they have been an ultimate cricket force their first season. While there are not major players associated with GT (such as Kohli, Dhoni etc.), all players of the team play remarkably well and have been crushing every team on their way with 90% wins. It's just incredible.

PBKS are no match for GT. GT has won 8 matches out of 9 and is ranking at the top in IPL 2022 point table. PBKS has won 4 matches out of 9 and is ranked 8th on the point table. If PBKS wants to win today's match then they need to work on their batting and they also need to bat first and score more than 180 today. Arshdeep Singh has been bowling quite well so I assume he will perform well today too.
3084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto moving into world. Algo sponsor FIFA on: May 03, 2022, 11:13:38 AM
Good to hear that Algo has also joined the bandwagon with crypto.com. I assume these two crypto firms will now be getting a lot of visibility through FIFA 2022. What I like most is that Algo has become the official blockchain for FIFA and this partnership will surely pump the price. I am also expecting the market cap of Algo to increase before and after the tournament ends.
3085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk bought Twitter on: May 02, 2022, 12:24:38 PM
I was wondering why he bought twitter, why he didn't just create a new social platform like that. It's not difficult even for a businessman to do it, but maybe because Twitter is in great demand by all circles.
Twitter is the biggest and popular social network platform, they didn’t gain such huge popularity at overnight, almost 16 years ago it’s founded. So i think it’s of course pretty difficult to just create a new social platform then will go popular very shortly. As far as I've heard, he will turn it into a private company and the most interesting thing is he buys it to protect freedom of speech.

Twitter is not the biggest social network platform if you compare it with Facebook or Youtube. But, it is the platform where you will find the most influential and powerful people on earth. He invested because it is better to buy an existing platform than to create one and promote it. He did invest in the Signal app to rival WhatsApp and Telegram so far it is nowhere near to them. That is why he bought Twitter and through it, he would control many things.
3086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Benjamin Cowan named the four most promising altcoins on: May 02, 2022, 12:15:31 PM
For long-term gain, you should invest in Ethereum, Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), and Polkadot (DOT) as they all are good projects. If you are looking for short-term gain then Bitgert is the project that you should look into. If they are able to fulfill what they have promised in their roadmap then it will easily replace some of the above-recommended projects in the long term. Do not follow blindly to anyone recommendation do your research and then invest.

I just hope that he doesn't break down mentally again. He's an allrounder which is already a very tough job when you're playing all 3 format (including franchise cricket The 100 etc). He's also field out of the 30 yard circle so Joe Root's experience should help him a bit but of course it would depend on who is going to be next vice-captain.
His mental health will be concern as the task of captaincy might break him and i wont be surprised if he retires early because of the huge burden bestowed upon him. If the earlier break was really due to mental breakdown as a player i doubt he will take the pressure as a captain. They need to find someone else and groom rather than putting all the pressure to Ben Stokes.

I think Stuart Broad will be the vice captain.

I am sure the English board would have discussed his mental health and would have also discussed it with doctors and then only they had given him this responsibility. If still he losses his mind during the upcoming match then he might lose his career at this time. I think they will either choose Stuart Broad or Jos Buttler as the vice captain.
3088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 02, 2022, 11:30:12 AM
There is no ODI going on and this thread has nothing to discuss about ODI. In fact we are discussing IPL a T20 format in ODI thread. Is there anyone else like me who wanna see international cricket back in action? I dont think blackout of ODI for such a long time is good for cricket fans.

It's been a long break in international cricket because everyone is busy in IPL and in IPL seasons, there are no other formats and series scheduled.

Anyways, I don't think anyone (other than me) is missing ODI / Test Matches as everyone must be enjoying IPL matches. People in Pakistan have no access to watch these matches live.  Undecided
That is why we can ask Indian members to keep us updated on IPL, but there are so many team and long lists of matches that it is hard to keep a track of all of them. I think there is not much hype for IPL. I am not sure if I am correct but earlier we saw many celebrates supporting IPL but haven't seen any in a while.
What you've said is true. This time there is not much of celebrities found. To some extent there is a need for celebrities to support the league in terms of promotion. Now IPL have evolved as a brand and things were happening good. So, it is quite rare to see celebrities. During the CSK vs MI final the viewers count on the official broadcasting app reached 8.3million. This shows how big the league have changed through these many seasons.
Celebrities only appear when they get money. IPL franchises are already famous and I guess they do not need the support of celebrities to market their brand. Cricketers themselves are now celebs in IPL and are now promoting their franchise through numerous advertisements. I do not think in the future you would see many celebrities coming to see the matches unless they are friends of an owner. I do think some of them might appear during the semifinals and finals this season. Also for IPL-related discussion, you can visit the T20 thread.

I was surprised to see Bitcoin mentioned in this video with 11 million viewers:
Can You Hear The Difference Between Cheap And Expensive Pianos?
LOL! We hold Bitcoin therefore we can buy an Expensive Piano. This guy surpassed my expectations. I would have love to see someone comparing a KIA with Lamborghini and suggesting the same way. That would have made an impact.

I can't believe RCB lost again. While it started out strong in the beginning of the season, seems like the team has completely lost its grip over the recent matches. At least it is good to see Kohli score a 50. RCB needs to get a grip on its bowler and get them to play better.

Probably RCB fans are the most disappointed yet the most hopeful lot out there.
GT are a much better and in form team than RCB. They have lost only 1 match this season and are at the top in points table. RCB did put on a good target of 170 runs but the way GT batsmen have been playing in this season that was not good enough. If du Plessis had not lost his wicket and had stayed with Virat then the target would have been different. I feel GT will easily reach the finals of this season.
3091  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with projects that imitate airdrops and their sales. on: May 01, 2022, 09:38:24 AM
Twitter is the easiest way to make a fake one. These scammers even using a verified twitter and copied the details of the original one and some will not noticed it since it has many followers and the blue tag. What worse is Twitter allowed the said activity to happened. Some of those scammers bag already many funds stolen from this way so must be careful.

Twitter should ban all verified accounts with these kind of activity cause its hurt a lot of investors.
Not only Twitter scammers are using the same method on YouTube and Facebook. They generate revenue by scamming those who are always greedy and go for such fake airdrops or multipliers. This not new but still an effective way to scam.

Apart from paper cards which I think is most commonly used method to store passphrase the need for steel cards only arises when you are not confident about paper. I personally prefer using paper and have already laminated and stored it safely.

There is a new project that I found out on another forum that uses steel but has a very unique way of storing it. You can know more about it on their website.

~~~
Based on the all seasons performance, Mumbai and Chennai are the best two teams of IPL. But they are at showing worst performance in this season and staying at the last two rank. Perhaps, none of them will qualify for the next round of this season.
In case of CSK, I guess still there is some chance. But for all practical purposes, Mumbai is eliminated from the next round (despite their win yesterday). And with both the teams, this time their biggest drawback was their captaincy. For the Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja could not match the captaincy skills of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, while for Mumbai Rohit Sharma was a gigantic failure. Absence of Deepak Chahar crippled the CSK bowling, while the lack of form from Ishan Kishan completely destroyed the Mumbai batting capability.
MI first mistake was that they heavily invested on a single player rather diversifying their investments on different players in the auction. The one they bought has been an utter failure and this mistake has costed them this IPL season. In my opinion CSK should have stick with Dhoni as the captain from the beginning. Replacing Ravindra jadeja now with him will not make any great impact.
The problem is that when you lose the urge of winning increases. This is when anyone will start making foolish mistake thinking that the next roll will recover the loss. It happens to many people but the only way out is to stop and close the screen. What happened is another lesson for you to stop using the money before it is too late. Hope you learn from your mistakes.
LSG successfully defended PBKS by 20 runs, and good bowling from LSG led by Mohsin Khan and Krunal Pandya.
It was a good start from PBKS, but unfortunately, after the first wicket which took a bit long for LSG, PBKS lost wickets within no time, and there started the downfall of the team.
In short, it was not easy for LSG to win the match.
Things were going good till Livingstone was there and everyone like me was predicting that Punjab Kings will win the match but all of sudden Punjab Kings lost the track by losing wickets in regular interval of time. Krunal Pandya was too good with this bowling, took 2 wickets and gave just 11 runs.
PBKS lost the match due to a careless shot by Liam Livingstone. The team was in an advantageous position. Lower middle order and tailender put up poor performances. LSG well deserved victory. KL Rahul proving to be an outstanding captain. As usual, Punjab disappoints. It is a great team on paper, but it is a terrible team on the field.
You cannot blame a single player for the team loss. KL Rahul took the right decision in changing the balling attack every time LSG needed a wicket. LSG was also quiet good on the fields if we compare the  fielding of both the sides. The biggest blow to Punjab was when Bairstow was caught by Pandya. After him there was no one left to bat till the end of the match.
You need to spend more time elsewhere than on digital technologies. If it is necessary then only spend time on the forum or cryptocurrency related website. Mental health is one of the most serious issue in today's internet based lifestyle. Keep yourself as much away from the internet as you can. There are a lot of activities that you can do outside that will help you in increasing your productivity.
ODI series between WI and Netherlands will start from 31st of May which will be after IPL ends. From May 15th we do have a test cricket between Srilanka and Bangladesh. Not many players from these two countries are playing in the IPL that is why they are having this test.
New coming from ECB is that Ben Stokes named England men's Test captain. Durham allrounder confirmed as successor to Joe Root. Seeing the current form of Ben Stokes I dont think he can take England out from current turmoil. In his 79 tests, he has scored 5061 runs and took 174 wickets. As an all rounder his figures are outstanding but the point is how can he perform as a Test Captain.
Ben Stokes is an excellent choice to serve as the new England Test team captain in this current environment. Several candidates may cause controversy as Butler, Bairstow, or Malan are all excellent choices. Most of us think Stokes named a bad decision since he is normally unfit most of the time. In summarizing Stoke's recent mental health issues, I am not sure if this is a good idea. He may feel too much pressure, which could negatively affect his performance. Ben Stokes will have a tough road ahead. We'll have to wait and see where he goes.
I think he has been a great performer for the England cricket team and he can definitely prove himself as a captain in my opinion.  yes, a lot of arguments can be made that there are other players who are better suited for this. but in the situation that that cricket team is right now, I think Ben Stokes is the best choice for the captain because the team needs a character like him as their captain.
He has a lot of experience as a Vice-Captain of the English test cricket side. His first match as a captain would be against NZ in June this year. This would be a tough test match as NZ is a world champion. As an all-rounder, he has been a great asset to the English side and I think his performance wont be affected as a captain.
Warner and Lalit are batting responsibly. Their performance is good. Also Warner is very experienced. If he is at the crease, there is no need to worry about Delhi's victory. Delhi scored 55 runs in 7 overs. Warner's collection of 18 balls 30. Although Lalit has collected only 9 runs from 16 balls. But he is able to give Warner good support. Delhi needs 92 runs from 78 balls to win. The match is still under Delhi's control.
Congrats to DC for winning the game and I think like CSK and MI its very much curtains for KKR. The 6.25 crore Warner is best choice for T20 game. Meanwhile Finch continue his poor form in T20 and today he was disappointing also. 146 from KKR are never a challenging total and it was very much expected that DC will win the game quite easily.
I don't see this an easy win. Both the teams were almost in the same level, which means in terms of lost wickets. Delhi Capitals was quite ahead in runs and the same lowered the pressure upon Delhi Capitals. If one more wicket have fallen for Delhi Capitals the match could've gone even closer. I thought the match would turn towards Kolkata Knight Riders once after the unwanted runout of Axar Patel who is a major reason for today's win. If Axar Patel hadn't made few good shots at that position, surely Delhi Capitals wouldn't have won this match.
The victory was not easy for Delhi. Although it should have been easy to win with such a low target. But in the first two overs, Prithvi Shaw and Marsh lost their wickets and went to Delhi. But Warner and Lalit's pairing helped them move towards their goal. Powell and Axar Patel's innings helped Delhi reach the target with six balls to spare.
DC took almost 20 overs to chase the small target of 146 runs. When KKR lost 4 wickets in the early stage of the match I thought they will not be able to score 100 runs but in the end, Nitish Rana scored 57 runs in just 34 balls which helped them to reach 146. I felt in the first session of the match the ball was staying low the wicket as per my opinion was helping the spinners more. DC also faced the same issue but Warner was able to lead them to a win.
