I would love to make the lottery provably fair but unfortunately there is no method of doing so as far as I know. Hence, I have done the next best thing which is to offer users a chance to opt out of the lottery and receive reward points instead if they feel the lottery is rigged. I willl offer 1 BTC to anybody who can provide me with a way to make the lottery provably fair in issuing tickets and picking out winners. The system described should be able to handle hundreds of millions of tickets and verification for users should be fairly easy and straightforward. You can post your ideas here and I'll go through them and reward the idea that we use.
Both the free roll and the dice game are provably fair and the website will be going completely ad-free as of today.
You can design a system something like this: Let's say, Person A bought 5,000 tickets, Person B bought 9,000 tickets, Person C bought 50,000 and Person D bought 1,17,000 tickets User A : 5,000 tickets User B : 9,000 tickets User C : 50,000 tickets User D : 1,17,000 tickets Combined, total tickets : 1,81,000 Generate a random number between 0 and 1,81,000 Set a windows like below : 0-5,000--- User A wins 5,000-14,000--- User B wins 9,000-64,000--- User C wins 64,000-1,81,000 ---User D wins // User D with most tickets has the largest window ... After an iteration, get the user ID who won, out of the system and run it again for second place and so on until you get your 10 winners. Good Luck!! At least OP is not lying about the bankroll like so many others do and then they run off with your bitcoins. Surely OP is being honest about the max potential profit that he can pay, indeed it is so low. The main problem here is, low bankroll would not attract real gamblers. Real gamblers does really care about it as they want to win big while gambling, so if they knows that the max profit is low then they will never come. Regarding the bankroll, afaik most site offers max 1% of their bankroll. So if the max profit here is close to 0.005 then their bankroll should be around 0.5btc. so what if there is low bankroll here? You can see bitsler now? This is an example of low bankroll at the start, they do not hit 1 btc too from the start, i know this can't be compared to this site bit still both of these site has started from scratch and in the end they are close to primedice and have really huge community. Yeah its not only the PD chat, it also the BitMex and Poloniex Trollbox also. There are so many users on there and the format of the layout is bad that its impossible to be able to chat properly because the messages scroll too fast. You can't even finish reading a sentence before it gets moved up because someone else typed something else.
Few years ago was better. Less users and you could actually have a conversation.
Maybe introduce different Trollbox channels like #random, #gambling, #trading, etc.
There was a time when troll box was fun and now almost all of the sites are over crowded and it is impossible to make any conversation ,it will be good to see more channels being tried to distribute the traffic between channels so that it is never over crowded and i really like the plan of Veleten on how to counter faucet spammers and it must be implemented by the staff members to avoid abuse. I am not lucky enough to win that chance ever. Tried many times and played like two to three days continuously for this one.
