pretty bad practice to be sending coins to an old deposit addy without double checking first
but whats done is done and now he is at their mercy
they might have had that wallet associated with the address changed lost or closed in any way or form
usually it should be valid and I am pretty sure they have access to it,but if they decide to take your coins and say there is nothing we can do

I believe that 3 years old address is long gone. And may be that address is not valid anymore since they already delete it or change to the new one. But still it is possible for them to find it again, due to the current price 0.805 btc is quite sum amount of money here. You should really contact them instead of posting it right here.
