3141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All most 75 exchanges and tradings have been dead in 2020 on: October 18, 2020, 06:32:50 PM
Anyone know Bgogo, an exchange that used to be invested in by a lot of large VCs but it didn't seem to be active for a year, only a few markets were traded by bots, and there was no news for the past 1 last year. I used to buy some of their BGGs and joined the IEO last year. But now it seems dead.
I didn't know about this project.

But most of the IEO projects that we have seen and launched from last year to this year, only a few of them remained strong.

And the others, as you have said, almost not active anymore.
This is the cycle of projects, no matter what kind of method they are using on their crowdsale. The dedicated and serious project will stay and the weak project will  be get rid off.

Keeping out on the least trusted exchange can make you feel better about the asset you are hodling, Of course the token is also an important factor. Always remember that never trade a token that is only listed of a single exchange and on top of that is the exchange quality. Always keep  that.
3142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mobile Legends Gambling [Part II] on: October 17, 2020, 10:21:26 PM
lol wildrift isnt out yet , i searched it on the android store  but i heard some are invited for the early access  .

LOL is already out technically but not available yet to anyone. If you were able to pre-register before, you will have access. Lots of users are now playing the game including me but I don't know when will be the official release for everyone.
League of legends wildrift is better than Mobile Legends I can pretty say it. What sucks is that I wasn't able to pre-register, I must have forgot it, I should have been playing by now, grind til become a challenger lol. I read they are going to open the beta in late October, I hope it's true!

I am a mobile legends player and I got a pass as a beta tester in wildrift, I also play league in PC. I think it's too early for us to judge now that wildrift is better than mobile legend in mobile gaming platform. I am a league of legend biased but the controls in wildrift is pretty hard for me compared to mobile legends and bugs keep showing up everytime. I'm sure Wildrift devs will improve control features so it makes it easy for us league players to make our skills all out.

or its his smurf account because its strange to see a low level account that has a guts to run a mini tournament Wink  . ifs fine if they do want to donate money to much stronger players  or it can be thier strat so that thier enemy will get confident and wont play seriously  .

I actually have it on my mind that it might be a smurf account to lure some teams for a match.
Smurfing in a low elo accounts is a sin for some players, it's like not letting those people who play their capabilities with the game.
Smurfing is hard to avoid especially on tournaments, It's a strategy that makes the enemy so comfortable with them and might drop their defense and can also can make an illusions that their main heroes are the one in their profile.  It's too unfair especially in the low elo but smurfing is a thing way back the time. It's just the matter of luck if you are a newbie and you are also fighting real newbies.
3143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Message to Bounty Managers and Participants on: October 17, 2020, 09:30:04 PM
I've experienced this kind of problem before when I'm still managing a certain project. This is a headache for the bounty managers that bounty hunters are obviously cheating. #Proof of Authentication is very important in bounty projects nowadays cause there are too many hunters trying to impersonate somebody. It's really hard for a bounty manager to keep things still especially on the first day of the campaign when cheaters are spamming the spreadsheets with applications. Imagine I got almost 5000 applications before on the first day of the campaign and I'm sure that just 10% of them are real ones who are participating. Thankfully Proof of Authentication on every report makes the filtering easy and resolves the issue. Implementing the rules strictly is needed in the bounty campaigns so you can see the ones who are serious about it or not.
3144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will UNISWAP become a centralized exchange? on: October 17, 2020, 09:18:33 PM
I don't think the developer would be so stupid and rock his own boat, the demand for DeX is on the rise and they are eating deep into CEX volume for now. I personally don't think Uniswap will succeed as a CEX because the space is already saturated and also they are a lot of things that goes into running a CEX
We dont have any say about it and they can decide to do whatever they wanted cause alot of exchange site have changed to CEX. However, If Uniswap decide to become a centralized exchange it not something stupid since they can maximize their platform by creating two exchange platform (one as DEX and others as CEX).
I agree, They should not abandon the original kind of platform they introduced into the market, Adding other features or platforms in their project is more logical just like what Binance do before, They are a centralized exchange and they gave other options for their customers that's why they added Binance DEX as their own decentralized exchange. Sooner or later I am expecting that Uniswap will launch more features or another platform in their exchange so they won't miss any trends in the market and don't lose the community they have gathered.
3145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 17, 2020, 08:05:27 PM
Bans are really bad way of answering on criticism, but some projects like Elrond have really good tg groups and there you can talk everything, what are you thinking about project and cryptocurrency future (ofc not in rude form). All projects want to have perfect telegram channel with many positive messages, because it`s face of the project like website. Developers never write on their websites about their weak sides, the same situation you can see in tg channels and groups. I think, there is no way to avoid it
It's true, Banning people or ignoring them can bring such an issue that the project team can't even defend or justify their side, Banning them could make their investors possibly lose trust, Knowing that if someone raises up an issue and not solving it can affect the whole integrity of the project.

That's true, Many project telegram channel I saw before have many hired people to spread the positivity on their channels, I'm not against it but sometimes having too many positivities on the channel wipes out the real issue that needs to be resolve and it gives an illusion to the investors/clients that everything is fine.
3146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: October 17, 2020, 07:37:27 PM
No I don't use VPN. Because my country doesn't have any specific laws regarding crypto to be honest. But yeah, if they are going to create some laws regarding crypto trading, I will never use VPN because if the government is going to find out that I use proxy to bypass then they might even confiscate my coins and I'll be left with nothing lmao. Best is to play fair.
I think it's not possible for the government to confiscate assets/coins from you even if your government is banning your country citizens to use crypto. The worst thing that might happen to you knowing that you are trading on a centralized exchange is to get your account locked/freeze and give you the hassle to get your assets back by the exchange.

There aren't many good reasons for people to use VPN on an exchange, It can just bring complications like having you detected by the exchange that you are logging in on multiple IP addresses that can make you broke their TOS.
3147  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Pitibet.io ⭐ SPORTS BETTING | WEEKLY PROMOTIONS ⚽🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 on: October 17, 2020, 04:28:38 AM
I see that your TOS is not available for now or still modifying, It seems you did change your TOS because of the request in this forum, If you really pursue removing the KYC in your casino please see your privacy policy, It is stated there that you will require some KYC to Pitibet clients.

Some members of this forum contact me in private for a sign campaign and we will do it for sure but not right now.

It's a good thing that you plan to launch a campaign. It is one of the most effective way to promote something here. There are many good campaign managers here, Goodluck finding one  Wink
3148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 17, 2020, 03:59:44 AM
Honestly, In the past I don't care about what the casino TOS is, I know it's too risky for me, but it is in the past and it is a good thing that I didn't experience any problem regarding the TOS of the casinos I am playing. But today, If I am playing on a new casino I would read their TOS even I found it a waste of time. There are many issues now about country bans and about using VPN, It's logical for me to see the country restriction of that casino.
3149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is new occupation on: October 16, 2020, 11:58:57 PM
I can consider trading as an occupation, Knowing that many of my mutuals are doing it on a day to day basis. We do have different standards if we are talking about jobs and how we define it. There are jobs that are not ethically classified as a job but it is a job in the real world. I consider trading as a job because a trader is active in it, can possibly make money depending on the activity that the trader is doing, and can make a living in it.
3150  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: October 16, 2020, 11:07:10 PM
I keep eyeing this interview for a while now and just waiting for the invitation.
BTW, Thank you for inviting me for this interview  Grin

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
As far as I remember, I discovered cryptocurrency through bitcoin in the final quarter of 2013, It was pretty lame but I am invited as a referral on a site (I couldn't remember that site  Sad) Then the curiosity starts within me, and did a research about bitcoin and stumbled up in this forum.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I got my first bought bitcoin in the year 2016, I bought some because of the potential of it that can bring me some profits.

3. How did you get on the forum?
Stumbled up upon doing my research back then.

4. You have a lot of analytics services on the forum, is it a hobby or a job?
A job maybe?

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
I think it is better that the Merit system is implemented, There are different kind of people in this forum and some of them are the abuser that keeps farming accounts to make a profit from it. The Merit system brings back the integrity of this forum and it helps to avoid people abusing the campaigns here.

I remember before when the ICO hype was still there, The bounty campaigns are flooded with obvious alts and most of them are just shit posting just to come up in their quota. Today, honestly it is still happening but it is not much worst compared before.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
There are many and on different boards, It includes scam accusations that can give warnings to those who are trying to try out platforms and those who give tutorials, recommendations, and guides for newbies or people who are unfamiliar with the thing they are doing. I believed the most helpful people are the ones who initiated those kinds of threads.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
1. Having a warning notice on the ANN thread of projects or sites that can bring potential harm to the viewers or users. It is like the flag system on the profile that can be supported by anyone but the different thing is it is on the thread that it is shown.
2. Banning alt accounts that is proved accountable.
3. Nothing more.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
I invested on some ICO before, Around 2017 when the hype is so much. I have tried many exchanges before that has listed my coin investments, and up to now, I'm still using some exchange because I'm trading sometimes.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
I think I know I'm not the only one that has a crash story on the start of 2018. Most of my hodlings that time crashed it's value and it gaves me some kind of emotional breakdown that leads me to stop using crypto or hearing crypto news for a while. That time is my greatest asset to value loss.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
One thing is for sure, token users can make a good profit for it if they do it right. But the whole ecosystem is nice but not new. It's just the token release are well hyped.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
BOTH OF IT!

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
I forgot the title of it, But I have only read one book about crypto and I didn't finish it  Tongue

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
BITCOIN, ETHEREUM, AND BITCOIN AGAIN

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
I hope that it can go above $12,000 at the end of 2020

15.
Keep learning things and adopt in the current situation, Do it right and you will be fine  Grin
3151  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: October 16, 2020, 10:13:36 PM
They are quite good for their dice since they manage to successfully operate that for years and we cannot expect that their sportsbook will run smooth since it's new in the first place provably those flaws encountered will be fix and once many users will report the bugs or others if they see it for sure the job of the dev to make the sportsbook became better will be more easy.
If there will be flaws or sort of bugs, they will be fixed immediately. We have been aware and witnessed how good bistler in improving and how they maintained their niche. As for sportsbook, no one forces everybody to come and get them with their added game. The features will be added a little by little until the satisfaction of everyone has been met. Whether they have a lot or few players, it's not a problem. It will eventually grow just like their niche in dice have grown overtime. It's only a matter of time of recognition for their sportsbook brand.
It's just a good thing that they gave some choice to their players and more reason for other customer to try out their sportsbook. I agree that bitsler can improve its service and improving it is not a fast process, I'm pretty sure that they will add their own features in their sportsbook since they are just a normal sportsbook compared to the existing ones, The edge to compete with other sportsbooks will surely come someday.
3152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pissed off with BitForex! on: October 14, 2020, 11:53:53 PM
I just checked my email saying that the deposit has finally been credited to my account. I logged in and verified, and yes it's finally there after more than 48 hours of waiting. Thank God I thought they would ignore my emails and totally lost my GOLD tokens.

This is their message:

"Sorry for kept you waiting,

Our technicians are confirming your deposit and this problem will be resolved in a few hours.

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Best Regards,
BitForex Customer Service Team"

They didn't specify the cause of the technical problem, so there is no transparency.

They may have solved the problem, but oh well at least I have to use the internal marketplace next time when trading GOLD token.

Quote
A week is a bit long already. I'd be frustrated to go to the facebook page to remind them about it as I did when I got some issue with them. This way they will be exposed to the wide audience.  Once you got your funds back, you relaly need to get out of that exchange.

I'm moving it to my Trust wallet instead of trading there because of being disappointed in their platform. Although it cost me approximately $5 in GOLD fees to withdraw, it's alright. It's just a lesson learned for me. And just now, my GOLD tokens successfully got out of the exchange and now in my Trust wallet. I can finally use the internal marketplace.
This is one of the reason why I don't use an exchange isn't that mainstream. Having a bad/slow customer support will affect most of the clients at times like this.
I'm just imagining myself in this kind of situation and at the same time at the worst situation that the money I withdraw is very needed. It's a nightmare.

Good for you that the asset you withdraw was successfully sent to you.

3155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Buy and Hold Really the Best Strategy in Crypto? on: October 11, 2020, 11:56:49 PM
If you have a good idea about the crypto market then it is possible to acquire the best strategy by buying and selling coins. To do this you need to know about the market and verify and hold the currencies. This is a very good move for big traders but buying BTC and Ethereum coins in the crypto market can make a profit from now on if the price goes up it is not right to hold for too long.
Trading always requires basic knowledge of what you trade and how you use it. There are different strategies for you to earn profit in cryptocurrency but it is not always the best. Choosing the strategy for gaining a profit will be all depending on the user, We do all have a different environment and this environment greatly affects how we interact with crypto. The knowledge, experience, capital, and other factors are needed for you to identify the best strategy for you to make a profit in the market.
3156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 11, 2020, 10:59:39 PM
I think it's the responsibility of the gambler to read the TOS before playing in a certain casino, Country laws are being updated from time to time as well as the casino. If you feel that your country is prone to be banned, It's better to read first the TOS before registering and playing. I know using a VPN is a way for a gambler that resides in a restricted to play in a casino but forcing your way through it can give you a headache when you are requested to have verification.

If you are restricted to gamble, Just don't gamble. I'm sure there are allowed casino in your country that is not hit by you local law, Just play on that.
3157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: October 11, 2020, 10:20:44 PM
I'm the one who also experienced those kind of fake news since last 4 years. Fortunately so many time i safe myself to be victim of those scammer. Nowadays those are become so common issue, known to everyone but i'm just wonder seeing some people who still believe those kind of fake and face big damage from scammers.
Instagram and Twitter should block the fake rich guys who made millions with day trading, newbies simply fall to their traps. The first question should be when the person checks these ads: Will I sell the trading system to other people if I am able to make a $5000 a month with it? If the answer is no, you can ignore this advertisement and report such posts to save the time of other potential victims.
Blocking all those accounts isn't as easy as we say. It can solve the problem but it is very easy for those people to remake an account and start the process all over again. All I can say is people should be more educated about cryptocurrency or other aspects that are connected to it for you to be protected, Typical scammers/pretenders tell their victims too good to be true ways of earning money. The methods of scammers are being created every day that why a good education can prevent these things to happen.

AFAIK, Social media platforms, and Google started to not accepting malicious advertisements that can harm their users.
3158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: October 11, 2020, 09:59:48 PM
If we are about to based from the history, we can see patterns and significance. But as for trading, the market is basing to the demand and not actually from the history. Probably the history is also being the basis of other traders and investors to buy if they see the significance of the present time and will start to compare it from the past. Do you have the source how big the drop for trading activities with the beginning of the pandemic? IIRC, the market dropped but trading didn't.

Trading will continue to prosper as many people make it as a source of profit, but sometimes frustrations tend to happen. Market crash occured once fluctuations influenced many people and caused dumping of their holdings. Day traders and long term holders won't sustain for months, because as the beginning of the pandemic most popular coins declined a huge percentage of their trading volume.
I will not say that as many with the definition of the majority. It's a balance, many makes money and also many just ruins themselves for trading because they are ineffective and it causes more losses to them. At the end, they still remain but chooses a different path and that's to become a holder and that's making them more money with one time selling when the market is up and the situation is good. Both type of traders can sustain themselves, if it's not then we do no longer have day traders and holders during the bears.
Ofcourse in trading there's a winner and there's a loser we can't break that balance, It's just people should find out what kind of profit-making method is right for them. I know a few people who give up trading and just start hodling over this pandemic scene, They didn't lose hope in cryptocurrency but they choose to change ways in making a profit from it. It's just the timing of the pandemic that makes some traders find other ways because of the need for fiat and the dumps happened during this pandemic.
3159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 11, 2020, 09:10:39 PM
I think lots of peoples don't overlook any project.
Most of people only see ""Fake volume, some fake people who talking  about project, read some articles written by those scammer "" and trust that project easily. Afterward get scammed by those scammers
The top exchange has a lot of low fake volume instead of a bad exchange volume. The top exchange listed coins were also delisted from the exchange. Some projects also become inactive after the success of IEO. We are all doing our best to research but even though we got scammed. I would suggest that top coins are the right choice but for other coins, price dump.
Adjuctly. most of top coins are always best choice for investment, no matter short time hold or long time. but the fact is those coins won't going to pump 2x to 3x, when new coins can easily cross ico price & could give investors 2x or 3x profit.unfortunately choosing wrong project, makes investor Unprofitable. It's the point why people get scammed
Ofcourse, established coins are the go to if you are finding a reliable investment, People love high risk - high return investments that's why defi projects become a trend today, There's a lot of fake projects today and it's obviously a wrong project but people still invest and trade in it hoping that they could get a nice profit from it.  This is why the greediness and the unawareness of the people is the main problem, They won't be scammed if they have good knowledge and not greedy with the investment they are doing.
3160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casinos have IP blocks in place for restricted countries? on: October 11, 2020, 08:31:17 PM
If a user violates the terms of the service, it's totally reasonable for a casino to say "sorry, but you are no longer welcome to play here". But seizing their account balance seems insane and an obvious conflict of interest (if it's just pocketed) and should not be normalized
I have read about casinos returning the original deposits to the players, but seizing all profits they make. Such an action would surely make violators think twice whether or not they will do it again. What would happen after the "sorry, but you are no longer welcome to play here"? Would they be allowed to withdraw all the money and continue breaking the rules by creating new accounts? It looks like the worst thing that can happen is that the casino closes their account, players get a slap on the wrists, and all their earnings are paid back after that.

I don't agree with that. I don't agree with casinos cheating their players, but I don't agree with players deliberately cheating casinos either.

I am getting a bit off topic here. The point of discussion is which casinos are trying to restrict players from certain jurisdictions, and how are they doing it? Which casinos aren't, and why not?
Restricted players and casinos would literally abuse each other if they are justifying these points with each other, Both parties trying to find a loophole with their rights and declared rules. I can agree about the idea about returning all the deposit to the violator, All of the loopholes will be gone both parties will not have a problem with that, and I think it's being fair with each other.

There are only a few ways for a casino to identify if their players are from the banned countries those methods do have a little bit of backslash in the casino like (1) If the casino requires KYC to their new customer, they will certainly lose some of their players since most of us cryptocurrency users doesnt want to give our identities (2) If they identify if the player uses VPN from accessing their casino on a restricted country, which can lead into issues about the casino.

I strongly suggest that IP ban is necessary as a precaution for players.
