2281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P transaction cheating techniques. on: July 14, 2022, 03:07:31 PM
Scammer acted they sent me the payment for the transaction via text message. It looks legit at first glance but after examining the text and checking on my application, It's obviously a scam.
Which text message do you mean? If I have understood your statement correctly, what you're saying is that the seller can send you an SMS notification while making it appear as though it came from the platform where you're receiving the money, such as Gcash, PH-based banks, and what not?

I mean that's pretty clever and alarming method that a scammer uses to confuse a P2P customer. I've been using Binance P2P a lot, and I oftentimes relied solely on SMS notifications to know whether or not money had been received and not thru the receiving application(e.g., Gcash, Unionbank)  Shocked
My bad, It's the buyer that is sending the message to me (I'm the seller). It's from Gcash, The text message is very real imo. The text message came from gcash also that's why it's so believable. Though I check my Gcash app and see no transaction or added balance to it that's why I confirmed it as scam. Be careful just relying on SMS notification, Scammers are very smart nowadays.
2282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pictures on users profile? on: July 14, 2022, 01:42:43 PM
Its a bit weird to ask, but noticing that at a certain rank here, Forum users are permitted to add pictures to their profile, Has there been any user in the history of forum that has opted to use their personal picture as the image displayed there?
There are some who choose to post their real identity here for their own reasons and others who we don't know if their profile picture is their real picture.  We are on this forum, It would be nice to take advantage of the anonymity that the forum provides. Most of us here remain anonymous, Even reputed and most trusted members here doesn't reveal themselves because I think there could be a problems in the future just like what happened on other people who doxed themselves on their own projects. I've seen threats over doxed crypto project owners just because of their projects downfall that is being affected by the current market scenarios.
2283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 14, 2022, 08:41:21 AM
One of the best ways to make people deposit would be a promotion where they get paid a bonus for depositing.

As a second item, as said in OP, I think the ability to withdraw to different platforms would be interesting to people. But to be honest I think the vast majority of users will only care about withdrawals when they already deposited, so a promotion bonus would be better in the end.
Gamblers have different take on what can hook them to deposit in a casino, Promotion is not deniably one of the most thing that gamblers consider before depositing in a casino. But we do have different preferences on what casino aspects would make us deposit. I myself do check first the available options for withdrawal and deposit first before promotion or bonus honestly. I'm just not a fan of taking up requirements to make the bonus withdrawable. We have different preferences and considerations but if a casino have more withdrawal options and provide a good promotion, Their chances in making gamblers deposit will raise.
2284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P transaction cheating techniques. on: July 14, 2022, 05:52:03 AM
My General rule of thumb is to transact in sellers that currently have a reputation. Transaction numbers, Transaction rate/score, Verified are such factors that I'm considering in choosing a seller and try to evaluate these factors if I can put my trust on it. Newbies should also be careful on details, There are scammers that take advantage on payment system. I've experienced one before, Scammer acted they sent me the payment for the transaction via text message. It looks legit at first glance but after examining the text and checking on my application, It's obviously a scam.

Scammers are on every platforms whether it's on binance, kucoin, bybit or any P2P platforms. Be vigilant.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 13, 2022, 07:56:13 PM
We can only use gambling for fun and not think we are trying to win over and over again.
In fact, we will lose more often than we win so maybe we should just enjoy our time gambling and return to the next activity after our gambling time is over.
We must change our mindset of wanting consecutive wins because it is very difficult to get them.
But we can win once in a while especially if luck can come to us.
Gamblers who enjoyed playing gambling are the ones who are trying to beat the casino. Gamblers experience producing adrenalin and endorphins have goals and their goals are different, You won't get thrilled because you are just having fun with games. You are being thrilled as well as having fun because of the risk of the stakes you are betting to. Trying to have consecutive wins is a hard thing to do that's why gamblers are keep trying to achieve it because it's challenging. Entertainment differs on every person, Having goals to be achieved, being challenged and winning is one of the factors for me to achieve my kind of entertainment.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 13, 2022, 07:14:08 PM
Maybe for those who have been playing crypto gambling for a long time it has no effect on them, and I’m sure they won’t be bothered either because they know that kind of move in this industry. And then if anyone will be affected by this sudden fall in the price of bitcoin, it is none other than those who are new to this industry and do not yet have enough knowledge of cryptocurrency. What they can do right away is to release their gambling winnings immediately because they will think that Bitcoin will continue to collapse, which is not really going to happen.
I think if they were new they wouldn't pay much attention to the ups and downs of the price, because basically they would focus on the stakes and not on the price on bitcoin. But indeed, the decline in the price of bitcoin will not affect the overall bet because every gambler and player certainly has its own way and calculation for them to hold, withdraw and deposit. So far the price of bitcoin has experienced a lot of decline but in fact there are not many gamblers who complain about it and also, not many of the developers are bankrupt, because more of them survive and continue to grow over time.

That is because many but many of the reputable and trustworthy casinos don't let you play in Bitcoin currency by default,or better to say that slot providers like Play n Go and a couple of others always exchange your balance to dollars and thus you don't pay that much attention. Also when we play sport betting every major casino and sport book let us directly play with Bitcoin as currency and this is also the case where new players would not notice anything.

In fact if they are really paying attention to anything they would see that when playing slots for the same amount of Bitcoin when we are in a bear market like right now it is not a wise idea to play as you are spending Bitcoin for a much lower value in dollars as when we are in a bull market.
We know that bitcoin is a volatile assets. I think I will not agree that it's not a wise idea to play using bitcoin because of it's lower value. It's just the same thing as not letting traders trade because the value of their bitcoin is now reduced. If we play on a casino using bitcoin, Bitcoin will also be the reward. If a casino do not offer bitcoin as a default, I'm sure we can choose bitcoin and just avoid or use altcoin if that casino doesn't offer bitcoin as a currency to play at their casino. We can see that majority of crypto is going down and it's the market cycle we are experiencing. If the gambler want a stable, The gambler should opt of real world currency casino or resort to crypto casino that offers stable coins to play.

If the gambler understand the volatility of bitcoin, the gambler wouldn't be affected much.
2287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are for building on: July 13, 2022, 06:27:39 PM
Unfortunately most of the newbies, beginners and average Joes out there are not treating bear market as "building" stage as they are panic selling in the first place. I was guilty of that before as I panic sell my Bitcoin back then and afterward I had a lot of regrets.

As of today, I keep "building" my Bitcoin portfolio by doing dollar-cost averaging (DCA) every month. Tomorrow or in a couple of days from now I'll be receiving another extra "not beer" money for me to accumulate some BTC again to build my wealth for the long-term.
True, Most People or projects who just entered on the euphoria phase of bitcoin would be definitely crash because of the ignorance of understanding that we have a market cycle and bear market is inevitable. Most of us experience this first before we understand how market works and I myself also experienced it last bear market. People and projects who stop now will regret in the future for not keep building their project plans and portfolio. I've seen some projects last bear market who stop building and producing their products and somehow showed up during bull market phase and tried to revive the project, It failed as expected.

so he buy $1 million worth of bitcoin and back to his country Immediately

Wonderful story, but I think that it's just a fantasy. Things don't go that easy.
I don't see any good reason why that prize was not sent to a bank account in the first place.
Then, in most cases, such big prizes are not given out as a whole and not so easy. It's usually like "you get this monthly amount for that number of months or you get 75% of the full prize if you want it all now".
Then nobody just sells you $1M worth of bitcoin for cash. Or well, maybe the Mafia does, but it's usually easier to lure you, then kill you and get that fiat.

So sorry, it sounds wonderful, but I don't think that's a real story.
I agree with you, It's pretty illogical that the lottery organizer of the said raffle gives it on cash and in full payment, Bank transfer would be the easiest and safe option for both winner and the lottery organizer. Also, Buying $1M worth of bitcoin is not easy unless you have proper connections. Buying on that kind of amount would take weeks in my country since banks here aren't bitcoin friendly and so many steps unless you have a peer to peer transaction.
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 13, 2022, 04:54:23 PM
I could definitely place myself as a Casual Social Gambler. The description of casual social gambler perfectly suits me. I play moderately and one of the purpose of me playing is for socializing with my friends and on killing my time by playing gambling, I really don't have the urge anymore to win that much when ever I play, If I won on a casino, I'll be happy to leave and won't have any regrets by not playing more. Everything is controlled and on budget.

Responsible parent will never allow things like this to happen with their kids,

They will do everything to make sure that their kids will be away from this kind of activities, many argument
might come up, but the sure thing in my opinion, every responsible parent will do the best that they can
to avoid things to happen with their kids, they don't want to see them facing difficulties once addiction
triggered their kids.
That's correct and I will never argue with that as a parent. But there will be circumstances when a kid growing up is idolizing some of his friends. It happened to me. We have a clean house, nobody was allowed to smoke. We can play cards but there's no money involved, we use punishments for the loser like putting coal marks on the face of a cousin or sometimes just white powder until his face becomes so funny.
But after all that, I still learned to gamble, smoke, and drink. It's because of friends which is difficult to stop because you don't want your kid to rebel which might worsen the condition.
IMO, it's not genetic, most of the time the environment will dictate.
Friends is a big factors in such vices. I can agree with that since I grew up becoming one of them. I've learned gambling a long time a go and I have a friend who is also a gambler, This results me in participating more gambling activities. This is why parenting should involve knowing their child friends or their background for them to warn their kids on not what to copy or do the same as their friends. Depending on your area, You can still do guide your child even they are on an adult age. This age is where vices started coming as law doesn't limit them to do it.

2291  Local / Pamilihan / Re: ASJ Global Legit or Scam? on: July 13, 2022, 07:21:48 AM

Ganun talaga pag wala pa masyado idea or experience sa gantong "investment" schemes. I'm sure too good to be true ang offers nung ASJ Global na yan kaya maraming pumasok na kasama mo sa trabaho, Maraming nag pasilaw sakanila at wala tayong magagawa dun lalo na kung hindi sila nakikinig sa advice mo. You did your best in giving a warning and nasasakanila padin yun if mag pull out na sila that time pero wala eh. Paulit ulit lang ang ganitong schemes ehhh halos ang naiiba lang is yung front end reason nila para kumita ang investment nila. Dun palang sa signal para sa sure profit is red flag agad.

Well, Ignorance is a bliss.
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 11:44:06 PM
Recently someone in our country just won a whopping 401Million Pesos(7+Million dollars) from our 6/55 Grand Lotto and another Winner of 5.9Million Pesos(105k Dollars) from our 6/42 Lotto draw. I am happy for these two winners but I am a little worried since the Lotto Organizer mentioned what city they are from. I hope that the Lotto organizer never mentions their names since these people who just had a life-changing experience could be in danger if they ever revealed their names.

here's the link if you are curious about the article https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1178611
I've saw that in the news! Such a very luck persons.  As far as I know Lotto Organizer in our country tells the public where does the winner resides, I think for hyping people up in that area to bet and bet to have a chance to be like that winner. Luckily on the Philippines, You have a choice to be anonymous. Not like other countries that winners are being revealed to the public.
2293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Reasons why there's an Increasing Crypto Scam Rate on: July 11, 2022, 11:08:06 PM

Not being careful enough leads to misinformation by the crypto influencers because they are always finding an illegal means for survival, imposters on social media platforms pretend to be what and whom they are not and make use of games and collectibles, fake crypto investments platforms to launch a Phishing attack on crypto users.

The saddest thing is that many are still unable to read and analyze if the project is a scam especially if they saw huge rewards and easy money - most of the time people got hooked up with such things due to some personal needs and Greediness. That will certainly make people become crazy about money that even miss determining if they are joining scam giveaways or not.

These scam issues will no longer stop as many people aren't changing their mindset and as well as their attitudes.
People like these will be able to learn their lesson hard when the time they got scammed. These kind of people are the scammers target, The people who choose to be ignorant about doing research and only use their emotions about money are likely to be scammed by those scammers. Scammers can easily get away using crypto, It's more convenient to them that's why they are taking advantage of the technology.
2294  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] WitLink - Fake Team on: July 11, 2022, 10:33:43 PM
Omg Why i didn't check this thread before  Huh
They ( Witlink ) did another big scam using an nft base project ( witland ) and yesterday they scape with a large sum of 600+ Ethereum of liquidity pool  Sad

I haven't hear anything about witland or I don't know if that really exist. I can't found any information of them in the internet, 600+ Ethereum pool is pretty large enough for people to make them trust so We should expect that they should have atleast a website or whitepaper over the internet. Could you provide us a necessary information about it?
2295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are for building on: July 10, 2022, 11:37:31 PM
That's a nice illustration of market scenarios. Projects who started on bear market tends to be much stronger compared to the one who started on bullish market. Devs can start at a cheap or discounted coins in the market that can be the requirement of their project. They can fully take advantage of just building and having less pressure from their users because I did see rushed projects last bull market that doesn't even survive the crash and their project foundation just collapsed easily. Devs can be more focus on building so foundations can be strong and be ready for future bull market problems like security, massive flow of users, massive fundings and they can be more focus on advertising their project.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Recent Experience at a Land-Based Casino on: July 10, 2022, 11:22:34 PM
If you were the casino manager would you fire the casino worker for interfering with your business or would you ban the gambler from visiting the casino?
If I'm the casino owner I wouldn't fire that casino working knowing that the gambler has some serious gambling problems and the worker is the newphew of that gambler. I would resort in humanitarian ways than a greedy casino owner. Also, There could be a negative possible tendency that the gambler might do like taking his own life because of the financial problem he is facing + family responsibilities he don't commit, Surely this will have an impact to the casino especially if this came out on media. This way you don't do unjust with your workers and you avoided future problems in your business. It's the workers family that knows the internal problem with that gambler, It's not a random dude just keep losing. You should be just considerate with the workers action.
2297  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A phishing site for all kinds of wallets on: July 10, 2022, 10:42:16 PM
There are so many red flags in this phishing site that is pretty obvious. Domain name is very unproper for a website like this, Their are a lot of unorganized buttons that makes it bad and Even simple things on design like capitalization of text is very shady. It seems that the owner of this phishing site doesn't put a lot of efforts in making it and trying to look it professionally.

If a site ask you for a seed phrase, manual sign-in, private key or anything that will let them access your wallet internally is basically a typical sign of a scam. Remember that no professional website owner will message you first especially on common messaging apps that involves so many scammers like telegram, It's the first indication that it is a scam. I hope newbies doesn't fall for them or the lucrative offer they are proposing.
2298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When to take profit? on: July 10, 2022, 10:18:24 PM
If I'm the one on your position, I should expect that the breakeven I will be waiting will be from 2-3 years from now. It's hard to expect early because our current market season tends to be long. I would basically won't take my capital money after getting to that point. I would probably take profit atleast 2x of my investment, If I waited for few years, I would do the best so I can take out the most probable profit. At the time people taking out their profits is probably on a bull market so reaching above 2x is possible. Remember that you patiently wait for your initial investment to gain a profit, Why not wait for it to gain more.
2299  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang plano niyo ngayong bear market? on: July 10, 2022, 09:35:50 PM
Quote from: Eternad
Just look at the bright side, kung sakaling hindi ka man makaipon.

I agree, Nakakahatak talaga ang bull season. Halos lahat ay kumikita sa mga oras na yan even newbies ehh ang taas ng chance na pati sila kumita. May mga friend ako na nag try lang mag trading nung bull market and it seems nag profit sila even without that much knowledge and experience sa crypto. Everything is going high that time kaya ang chance mo lang matalo that time is if mag short ka sa futures. Every projects are given a chance to shine, Pansin niyo na sobrang daming NFT games pero halos lahat ay may investors kasi pataas ang presyo ng lahat. This time, Kung mas marami kang maipon during this dire season, Eh mas marami kang kikitain during bull season.

Doublers website are pretty common on before but today I'm shocked that doublers websites are still up and waiting for their victims to fall. I remember the days that doublers are so many that they compete with each other by providing the best profit to their victims, at the end they all are scam. They are using reasons such as real mining, cloud mining, investment firms and other reason that make it reasonable but the truth of it is it's a pyramid scheme that can breakdown at anytime.
