If Qtum is finally answering thread questions....how come you removed the opportunity to invest on the website?  Seems like you are only catering to the Chinese market.

We didn't meet the KYC and AML rules required by Singapore.

Don't forget one of the main rules outlined for non-profits registered in Singapore - revenues can't exceed $5M SGD (not USD) over its lifetime, yet you're seeking $30M USD in revenue during the crowdsale, upped from an initial $10M.

What say you? Or can non-profits registered in Singapore pick and choose which regulations they wanna abide by?

I've poked so many holes in Qtum's elephants, they're leaking like a sieve ...

Up until now mostly undiscovered by the western market, the Qtum Foundation has recently published an intriguing Whitepaper, which has created ripples, reaching both sides of the Pacific. The international team, led by a predominantly Chinese management, introduced a blockchain platform, combining Bitcoin’s proven-to-deliver architecture with Ethereum’s smart contracting abilities, essentially introducing an improved version of Ethereum, running on a Bitcoin blockchain, while being compatible with both ecosystems.

Following legacy interest, but still taking the industry by surprise, the company recently announced that its business white paper has been co-developed by one of the ‘big four’ consultant agencies, being the first blockchain startup of its kind to do so.

Correct me if I'm wong, but I don't see PwC on the list of names attached to the linked-to Qtum's white paper, OR PwC or PricewaterhouseCoopers mentioned anywhere within.

Further, Qtum's white paper was released long after the Angel Backers supposedly seeded Qtum with their combined $1M USD, Qtum gladly taking the USD in spite of not legally able to accept US citizen investors for its non-profit having its charter in Singapore, specifically move from Mainland China so not to concern themselves with them pesky regulators.

To date, Qtum continues to NOT address even the most basic concerns like what the fuck is their founder's real legal name known here as Patrick Dai, yet due to KYC and AML regulations, ALL its investors MUST provide documentation proving who the fuck they are. Then again, Qtum is ONLY seeking $30M, so why the fuck should this community care. It's not like deals are being made in the back room somewhere atop an elephant. Oh, wait!

where is the source code ?

???

We will release a snapshot of the code 2 days before the Crowd Sale.  This will not be a finished product, or a working test network, it will show our progress.  There will be a Roadmap shortly that will go over the time frame.

About two months ago it was all the rage that Qtum had a working Testnet, just working the bugs out with promises of an immanent release, but now Qtum promising JUST a snapshot of the code 2 days before the Crowd Sale (one word!; this is like talking to Leroy Fodor), where for those playing at home, it's currently three days till Qtum's crowdsale, ergo the complicated math looks like this -> (Xtoday + 3days) - 2days = t0m0rr0w.

The Qtum platform was never presented as a “get rich quick” scheme.

Was eager to participate in qtum ICO but have now changed my mind because of all the accussations put against Qtum devs and their failure to satisfactorily counter them.

same feeling with you.

but i will buy some incase they pump it hard.

A non-profit does not simply pump it hard when it's not a get rich scheme for you, them, their investors OR their Angel Backers.

Case in point ...

Anthony Di Iorio,   Co-founder of Ethereum and CEO at JAXX Wallet
Roger Ver,   World’s first major investor in bitcoin startups
            Weixing Chen,   Founder of Kuaidi
Jeremy Gardner,   Co-founder of Augur EIR at Blockchain Capital
David Lee Kuo Chuen,   Founder of Left Coast, Libai and Dlee Capital Management
Bo Shen,   Fenbushi Capital managing partner
Jehan Chu,   Jen Advisors Ethereum Hong Kong Meetup
Qingzhong Gao,   Director of HuaWei Strategic Cooperation
            Star Xu,   CEO of OKCoin
Lihua Yi,   Partner at ZhongWo Investment
            Xiaolai Li,   Chinese Angel Investor

... not a single person on the list above gives a shit about profit or ROI when it comes to Qtum because they're astute investors seeing the full value that the non-profit Qtum will bring to the cryptocurrency space after $30M is pumped into the endeavor sourced from the mainly Western crowd of the crowdsale during the next 30 days at $1M/day, all thanks to the dudes above who seeded Qtum with their combined $1M.

So they are not hsoting the crowdsale on their website as an option?
Bull crap!

Our Crowd Sale website did not have KYC and AML functionality, so we are now using only exchanges.

Translated: Angel Backers gave us a million dollars so that we can raise $30M so that we can preform the complicated task of marrying Bitcoin to Ethereum, but we can't embed a ten-dollar script on our website in implementing KYC and AML functionalities like other sites do because they're such simpletons, always taking the path of least resistance, where in this space our obtuse course of action is what Vitalik Buterin referred to as "signalling", setting off what we've witness in this thread of late a not-so quiet riot while we maestro Come On Feel The Noize.

This better not be an ICO...
If you need ICO, please visit https://www.allcoin.com/

Funny how Mark was with the old AllCoin and now the new AllCoin, eh? Hey, Mark, how's James Feng been doin' since he sold AllCoin for $85,040 USD (RMB400,000)?

Sure. And some people just want to make it clear to others that there are some additional not so obvious risks here.

Whitepapers are cool but are they still going to release some code before the ICO?

We will provide a snapshot of the code 2 days before the Crowd Sale.

Translated: Normal people would say, "We will provide a snapshot of the code tomorrow." since the Crowdsale (one word is the general consensus) is in three days, but like everything else Team Qtum has relaid in this thread and abroad, the noisy way is the bestest way to relay abstracts.

We can't stop them pause or cancel ICO, but we can prevent them from raising more money, therefore keep telling people the truth is the priority.

I have this theory, they are going to buy into their won ICO and the sheep will see this and follow the herds. I read some where that if they failed to raised enough fund they will sell the tokens to institution , I was now asking myself why can't they do this first instead of coming to the public for funding

Could it be because ...

"We want gum! We want gum! We want gum!

Then we clearly stated that US citizens couldn't invest in Qtum while at the same time we instructed them on exactly how to invest in Qtum so to bypass KYC regulations, all the while making it look like on paper that we're in compliance. We first stated that we're seeking $10M during our ICO, then upped it to $15M, but now it's at $30M. We had a meeting a few hours ago and decided the hell with it, next week we're stating that we're seeking $50M in funding, knowing full well that them US investors are gonna send us a $100M."

A Message From The Team:

As we near the March 16th opening of the Qtum Crowdsale, we’d like to take a moment and discuss what to expect over the coming period. First and foremost, this is a global initiative, but we anticipate most of the token sales to come from the Eastern market. On ground of regulatory requirements, our legal terms excludes US citizen from participating.

The nature of this industry is risky, it’s unregulated, and requires an enormous amount of knowledge in order to make meaningful purchasing decisions. The Qtum platform was never presented as a “get rich quick” scheme. Qtum's development plan spans over multiple years and adheres to a detailed roadmap and budget. If you have not read the whitepapers, or don’t understand the risks involved in this industry - do not participate. There are, as with every project of this kind, factors beyond our control at play; from government regulations, to Bitcoin price volatility, or other unknowns.

As many of you may have noticed, we have been managing expectations since we announced Qtum to the Western market in December. We have not made any attempt to sell hype, we didn’t even release details until right before the Crowdsale, simply because we didn’t want to undermine our core technological product with hysteria. We are positive that the technology Qtum presents asserts itself in the eyes of whom has the technological background to understand its novelty, if you don't feel this to be the case, we would advise to abstain from participating in the sale.

We’re confident about the Crowdsale. We have an amazing team of Angel Backers, some of whom will be helping a lot over the next few months. We will be working with multiple industry experts, partners, and PwC to shape the direction of the project right away. If there are unsold Qtum tokens after 30 days, they will be sold to institutions. Our team wants smart money, and we will not allow the project to be fueled by cheap attempts to increase the price of our tokens.

With this said, we look forward to the 16th and the following years.
The Qtum Team

Ethereum is a scam too

their ico price is 1BTC=2000ETH  as they promised Ethereum will be the first smart contract platform.
right now.. 2000ETH=40BTC, BTC price is 2 times higher too..

Qtum ico price is 1BTC=3800Qtum as they promise Qtum will be the first POS Smart Contract platform and compatible with Bitcoin!

right now.. people who still hold ETH already made 60-70 times profit..

i am  confident i can make at least 5 times profit  even it's a scam..

JUST A reminder.. BTC is a SCAM too..

Amazing how Qtum declares that it's not a get rich scheme, but others embracing the venture see it as nothing else but, with no regards as to what Qtum brings new to the table.

…and your point is??? IF foopile is putting out ReviewaPenny, I guess I’d say they are advertising, hardly a crime. Not the first to say they are the best. What could be worse than the fake news articles used by some of the larger well-known auctions? foopile used to be slow shipping, don’t know right now, I haven’t bid there recently. Besides that, I’d give them A+. I think they are one of the most honest sites, bids are very reasonable, the site is user friendly and I’ ve never seen or even heard of timer issues. I only have one questions, is SwipeAuctions kin to or part of Swipebids because it sure looks like it. If so, then the only crime I see hear is giving SwipeAuctions B+.

Paul Vernon owned both Foopile and ReviewaPenny. Paul Vernon's now in China after he ripped off Cryptsy's investors.

Revisiting the following:

On ground of regulatory requirements, our legal terms excludes US citizen from participating.

Two questions come to mind:

1. Since when did it become illegal to invest in a non-profit entity registered in Singapore? If I remember my Maps 101 class lessons, Singapore is not in China. Correct me if I'm wong. Also, correct me if I'm wong in stating that Qtum's main reason for having it's charter in Singapore was so that it didn't have to contend with Chinese regulators, but now is seems we've come full circle in that US citizens are excluded from participating unless, that is, you follow the advice offered up by principals and devs of Qtum on exactly how to circumnavigate the KYC guidelines. Translated: We at Qtum aren't doing anything illegal, but we'll take the time to show you how to take advantage of our ICO via doing something illegal.

2. When did the paradigm shift to being acceptable to solicit investments from investors totalling $10M ... strike that, now $15M (also read a $30M figure in re Qtum) for a non-profit entity regardless where based in hopes of earning an ROI off said investments? I don't think the likes of a Bob and Alice Smith can sell a million dollars worth of shares promising an ROI for their non-profit Food Bank endeavor designed to feed masses of people in some region of the world. Again, correct me if I'm wong. Translated: Nobody invests in a non-profit for an ROI because ... wait for it ... there's no profit.

Qtum has yet to address how they're able to amass $10M $15M in revenue when their Singapore non-profit charter specifically states that they're ONLY able to garner $5M max over the lifetime of their charter. One more time, correct me if I'm wong, but if I remember correctly from my Math 101 class lessons, $15M is morer biggerer than $5M.

One more thought and I'm done for the day:

Quote

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/qtum.org

Correct me if I'm wong, but I don't see any Asian countries on the list above, including CHINA, albeit I will admit that all the countries not the US are east of the US if you read from left to right.

Further ...

Qtum gets most of its traffic from BitcoinTalk, which is pretty amazing considering that there's no Chinese translation thread for Qtum on this forum if spite of Qtum being on record in stating that they have a greater following in the Eastern market than us yokels here in the Western market. Again, correct me if I'm wong.

I've got some bad news for you, Sunshine! If you're in the US, you won't be able to participate in Qtum's ICO due to the law.

On ground of regulatory requirements,
our legal terms excludes US citizen from participating
.

The only thing that has me perplexed is why Jordan Earls is working on this project as a dev for free, given that 20% of the moneys amassed during the ICO go toward the devs, any of which who are located in the US would be forbidden to legally get a share, thus more money for ALL the non-US devs.

I'm sure that Jordan Earls has penned something somewhere stating that as a US citizen he won't be able to accept any moneys for his involvement with Qtum due to US regulations explicitly expressed by Qtum's legal team relayed by Team Qtum.

Bahahaaaaa.  I'm not surprised.  For a long time I count use my US ATM cards in Romania cause the hacking was so bad.  15 year old hackers everywhere robbing the big banks for millions of dollars.  Most of those kids work for places like google now.

Note for newbie east bloc hackers:  If you're gonna be a hacker be a good one and maybe land a job in the US.

Back in the late 80's, soda pap vendors lost tons of money on their newly introduced dollar-bill-accepting machines. The cons quickly figured out that you could put tape at the end of the dollar acting as an extension, holding onto the tape when inserting the bill as far as you can sans letting go. When the bill acceptor registers the $1, pull the bill out, then push the cancel button and out pops four quarters (or a mix of other coins equaling a US dollar) into the change cup. This was back when one didn't have to worry 'bout overhead cameras.

Yeah the guy that, according to you, is paid to troll this thread spends considerably less time here than you- a person who claims they have no association with this preject other than a genuine interest in it that appears to have developed into a consuming obsession.

I think glebby got banned or something!

You're not gonna believe this, but my handlers are now paying me to hold off on playing scam buster until further notice. I wish they make up their fuckin minds!

@stormia: I may have spent less time here then stackoverflow in post count, but not in reading this entire thread, all of Slack's postings, mega archive pages, Qtum's website, and all the news articles whether paid for or organic in all languages available on the Net, and performed forensics on TxIDs.

Oops! I just realized what I penned. It looks like I just admitted to getting paid for not posting over of the years re nefarious actors, something I've never admitted to getting paid for.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

TBC, I'm officially done researching Qtum et al. until further notice.

Here's to hoping nobody gets burned.

And no, Qtum didn't pay me to post this - at least not yet.  Roll Eyes (we used escrow  Grin)

I appreciate the chain-gang evaluation very much!

Even if people ignore your... sultry, salty, sentences  Cheesy
The chains always show us the actions of the actors.

My handlers just confirmed that I can still post provided they vet the posts first:

"I'm still your salty dog!"
