3141  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you feel about meditation? on: April 22, 2018, 03:36:54 PM
I did try to meditate one time and that did not end well. I am the type of person who can't focus on one thing, whenever I clear my mind another thing pops up and it will be a domino effect in the end.

I don't meditate but sometimes when I am alone I do talk to myself, not literally but asking myself what am I doing my whole life, what is my goal in life. That alone can motivate me to do things and to make things right, it can also help me when I am depressed.
3142  Other / Off-topic / Re: Generation Screwed on: April 22, 2018, 01:56:59 PM
Are we the ones to blame? Is the previous generation to blame? Do we have to adapt our lifestyle? Is the government capable to do something?

The previous generation is to blame. Why?

If those previous generation continue what their parents are doing, we can say that we in our new generation will be the same as them. Now, they are blaming us, telling us stories about the past on what they are experiencing but the fact that they are not doing it the same means that the result to us will also be different.

We will not be called the new generation if the previous generation did not change us and continue the past generation. We adapted and in time we change, we developed. Yes they are to blame, but they are also the reason of our development.
3143  Other / Meta / Re: How to get free merit on: April 22, 2018, 12:09:47 PM
Merits are free you just need to have a good comments and posts. Response to other questions nicely. Spread useful information and you users will give you merits.

I do not know how many posts I am reading about this tip responding to questions nicely, spreading useful information but I don't see this kinds of posts being given a merit.

After the first month that the Merit is implemented, a lot of posts are being merited, I mean that is great but after another month, the merit being given dumps low. I know this since a lot of good posts now don't have merits.
3144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 22, 2018, 10:42:18 AM
Is it me or its just that every playoffs, betting into NBA is getting really hotter and hotter.

A lot of my friends from work are taking their bets and they are still voting for the 2 teams that get their way into the finals which is Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. I don't get what they are saying, and also what they believed in but I think there will be other team that will advance forward in the Finals this year.

You could be right at your speculation now.
These teams are getting stronger and it will not just be Cleveland and Golden State who will be the apple of the eye.

76ers is there, Houston and look at that Pelicans sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers who is a team that is on top when it comes to being an offensive team.
I guess there will a big Finals with some changes who will be on top.

Yeah, I agree.

At first I am seeing a possible finals with Pacers but since they are facing off with Cavaliers, which in the past is a final qualifier, I quickly changed my mind. I mean Oladipo and his team is great, they are leading the series 2-1 but I don't think that Lebron will be letting this chance to finals just slip. I know Lebron will settle their rivalry to GSW this year if GSW push through the finals.
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know its time to Stop? on: April 22, 2018, 07:19:22 AM
certainly when we are feeling bored and already felt suffered a considerable loss of course it will cause in our mind to stop gambling. so it's better to find a good job and do not harm if my suggestion still after stop playing gambling

If you think of it, that will be the case but for the most of gamblers especially the addicted ones if they lose a lot, they will not stop instead they will be eager to get back what they had lost by gambling again and again.

Stopping Gambling is more harder than you thought. I've encountered a lot of hardships for years before I started to really control myself and keep myself on gambling every single money I have.

3147  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin is not really banned by Google on: April 22, 2018, 03:11:34 AM
Tama nga naman aksyon ginawa ni google kasi madaming pera sa crypto at marami umaasa rito sapagkat patuloy pa rin tayo na sana wag na i ban si bitcoin.

I am posting this to end the confusion, our countrymen that is misunderstanding why Bitcoin is not banned but the crypto currencies ICO ads. If we will be considering Bitcoin, it is also banned but the thing is there are no ads about Bitcoin no one is advertising Bitcoin.

Reading your posts is a proof that there are a lot of people here that are confused and misunderstanding what is happening. It really needs a further explanation.
3148  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin is not really banned by Google on: April 22, 2018, 12:40:01 AM
Ang nangyari ay inannounce nila na hindi na sila mag aadvertise ng bitcoin

They did not say that. You can read the link that I had posted and that doesn't say that they will be banning the advertisements of Bitcoin, they are only banning crypto currencies ads and I see no effect on Bitcoin since Bitcoin is not really advertised.

sa pagkakaintindi ko tinamaan pa rin ang bitcoin, kapag banned ang advertisement ng mga ang ICO's papano magla launched ng mga projects, mahirap kapag walang ads at baka isipin na naman ng iba scam.

This is the reason mostly why they banned Bitcoin, because they do not know what is scam or not. Even if that project or ICO has a banner or an advertisement that doesn't mean that it is a legitimate project, we can't be sure of that.

As an investor, you must be responsible to the money you are holding and you will be releasing on such things. You must study the project first before you give them the money.
3149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: April 21, 2018, 03:51:11 PM
Have you felt this way? I don't know if playing online casinos would have that effect also. What do you think?

I am a shut in that is the reason why every time I go in casinos or wherever the people is there, I am Shy. But, I think this is the reason why I overcome my addiction to gambling.

Even though I am shy, most of the people there already knew me so I just sit wherever I was called by them but most of the time I am alone and even though there are some that knew me, they can't see me since they are busy gambling either losing or winning, I don't care really. I made a lot of mistakes inside a casino and that just made me more shy and the more I became shy, the lesser mt addiction is.
3150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: April 21, 2018, 09:40:55 AM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?

All out you say? I don't think it's a wise decision especially if it will be done in gambling. I have tried it once though and had regretted after. Never have done such thing again. Learn from your experience as they say, I've learned mine.
Getting to that stage where all you have left is even your last card is a critical one and anyone who is considering to go that lane of using that last one to bet or gamble with should be considered an addict straight up as there is no two ways about it. This is how people gradually tend towards addiction.

If you have lose, accept your fate, since you will be losing most of the time in gambling anyway and with that, you can just move on and go do something else with your life, but playing with the little you have left for a good reason unless you want to walk home is really an absurd thing to do.

But in such situations, most people will think, what if with this little money I can recover my previous losses or even make a profit? TBH, under those conditions, it would be very difficult to make a wise decision because the mind is full of remorse. Gamblers will use anything, even with the smallest chance, to get their money back.

Sadly, that is how most gamblers gamble these days.

There are a lot of gamblers that usually go all in in their gambling activities and it is sometimes so frustrating to watch especially the desperate ones. People usually tend to gamble all their money in a certain activity and then regret that they had done it and adding another problem. This is the reason why most of the gamblers are usually getting not getting on the middle but they are always on the top and on the bottom.
3151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The way to win in gambling on: April 21, 2018, 03:22:35 AM
if I myself needed to be able to win in playing the gamble is to have a good strategy and intelligence when thinking like playing poker. and most of the gamblers rely on luck as well

We all know that a good strategy and being intelligent is not enough since we are talking about Gambling, a game of luck.

Not all of those gambling games are that easy to win using those since most of them are really rigged, if you know what I mean. You can't beat the system that easily, as they say it. If you want to win on gambling, the best way is to not take it seriously since you must expect that you will not be winning a large amount but you can have fun while doing it.
3152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: April 20, 2018, 02:55:04 PM
The limitation is mainly important while gambling because without any limitation it will be a big disaster for you. We need to have some limitation, especially while gambling because gambling has a higher risk of losing the money. So while setting limits it will control the flow of money by opposing not to continue further.

Limitations are great but limiting yourself when you are already gambling is not as easy as you think.

At first, I also thought of limiting myself but it did not work out since the more I limit myself the more I am losing a lot of money. I changed my plan on bringing a smaller amount of money with me especially when I know I will be walking in a casino, but that did not also work out. I guess the best limitation I did was limiting myself on going to casinos and being into my life and into my family, though I still gamble but not like in the past.

Also, I did limiting myself on gambling for years and that is really hard for me, but I did end that addiction.
3153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoins goal to end governments? on: April 17, 2018, 03:38:38 PM
I have seen many people say that Bitcoin will end governments.

But do we really want that?

And if yes how would things like infrastructure be provided without a government? (This is just an example, you can discuss any issue you see fit for this topic)

I don't think so. It's here to end banks. Yes, if blockchain is applied also on governmental level, it can end the governments as we know that, but we're no there quite yet

Banks? How can you say that? If you are thinking that Bitcoin will end banks because it is decentralized, you are wrong. IF you are saying it like that, that means you are also implying that money or fiats will also be ending which is impossible.

Bitcoin will not end government nor banks. Bitcoin is just a technology aiming to make our transactions and financial experiences more efficient and comfortable though it is now an asset and people are just earning it to earn money.
3154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why some country banned bitcoin? on: April 17, 2018, 02:42:40 PM
why some country banned bitcoin?
is there any problem? i know that bitcoin is international crypto currency. but why some country banned this cryto?
Maybe some country banned bitcoin because their government don't have the capability to regulate and impose taxes on bitcoin transactions.

Not really, every country has their own reason why they are banning Bitcoin. At first I thought that they are banning it because of its volatility but in the end it was their decentralization.

I've read this site last week and I guess it can answer your question why some countries ban Bitcoin. https://www.ccn.com/top-10-countries-bitcoin-banned/
3155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to kill Bitcoin? on: April 17, 2018, 11:54:52 AM
"Killing" Bitcoin is easy to say but it is so hard to do. A lot of people here are scared that Bitcoin will die and I don't know why since "killing" is close to impossible to be done because as I said, it is so hard to do unless you are a living Dumbledore of Computer and Internet. Here are some that I think can kill Bitcoin :

1. Tell the people especially the whales to stop on investing, trading and using it. You can spread FUDs or fake news to do this but you will just be found out eventually.

2. Recommend the governments of the world to ban Bitcoin in their respective countries though I don't think they will be going to accept that.

3. The last one and I think this will be the most effective and easiest of them all, just take down the most popular digital currency exchangers sites online. Good luck with that though.
3156  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Money or Currency on: April 17, 2018, 11:12:24 AM
Bitcoin is like a currency its not like a money , peopel accepting it but high volatility always make happy or sad every time when it moving 20-30% up or down.

I don't see Bitcoin as a currency or as a money since it is treated as an asset more than a money or a currency. Yes, Bitcoin is accepted and used by some as a payment but because of its volatility and high fees, a lot of them stopped accepting it.

It is a digital currency so it might be called by other people as a currency still for me, Bitcoin is an asset and nothing more.
3157  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin solve the worlds problem? on: April 17, 2018, 10:42:13 AM
There are so many problems that this world is facing. And i think bitcoin cannot solve it alone. World leaders should unite and make some move to solve world problems.

And how will Bitcoin end those problem? Bitcoin is just a digital currency that is invented by Satoshi Nakamoto for the people to make transactions efficient and experience its freedom.

As far as I know Satoshi Nakamoto did not make Bitcoin so it will be ending or solving the problem that is the world is experiencing right now.
3158  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin help out of school youth... on: April 17, 2018, 05:38:58 AM
Do you even know what is the meaning of the term out of school youth? It means that those out of school youth is not going to school and then you are asking that earning and trading Bitcoin is helping them in their school?

That is not a out of school youth but a student. The question here must be "How can Bitcoin help Students?".
3159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambler's way on: April 17, 2018, 04:43:05 AM
So when we know that only luck is the factor that would be making better results for us, how can we become so foolish to even go for gambling again? We all know that luck isn’t a companion of everyday. Rather it just meets us after so long times so better is to acknowledge this factor and go for the smooth living. Don’t be dependent on the luck and in this, don’t just lose yourself.
We could not determine our luck if we gambled as once, maybe it will happen if you gamble every day just hoping that every gamble your luck was there. Stay away from gambling if you feel that you are not lucky enough on it don't chase your losses and come back tomorrow hoping that your loss will back again. In that attitude, you might be fooling your self that forcing you and expecting to win even though you could not win. Gambling, not design by the owner to always win.
We can't say we will win if we are gambling everyday because there were lot of gamblers are trying their luck everyday and ended up losing again and again and some people just play one or twice and got bags of money so the luck can come anytime. And gambling was designed for the owners profit no the players. Cheesy

Well, every gamblers has their own of luckiness in them well if luck is really there or it is just a coincidence.

A lot of people are attracted to gambling because it is just that easy to earn money but people do not know how those gamblers struggled and how money they wasted on those just to get that amount of money. They can say that it is an investment but I see it as a waste of money since if you will be investing your money in that time, you might've seen a result now.
3160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: April 16, 2018, 04:15:59 PM
the real risk is not the same ,, in the trade, we will not make all our funds lost ,, but gambling it must have a big risk for us to lose all the balance ,, but anyone who often play the trade, they will not get out of gambling, , because it has happened since the first ,,

Another difference between the two is gambling happens fast and your funds go to 0 but trading is very slow and you can still cash out if you don't like losing anymore and then invest in another one to try your luck again.

Earning is not that easy and you can't just invest into something with out losing anything. Investing doesn't mean that you will always be getting a good profit or return, you might still lose something and that is normal.

Gambling might be really dangerous to people but as I say always, being responsible in your gambling activities will greatly help you to keep yourself from being addicted to it, just take gambling as something to past time or entertain yourself rather than a source of income.
