the problem is the history of recent altcoins the last days... ppl getting carefull
Pretty much. People with more money than sense drove up the price of CHN and FTC, they're being more cautious now. YAC isn't just another copycat so I don't plan to dump. Even if the price stays where it is for awhile people will continue to mine it unlike FTC and CHN because it's CPU only, which will allow it to co-exist. Exactly... that's why I'm betting it will be a winner if it can stand the test of time and keep the GPU miners off (or make it so that GPU mining is only marginally more profitable than CPU mining). The fact that it can be co-mined is huge, and means that a much larger, more diverse pool of folks will be taking on YAC than would otherwise happen if it was just another GPU coin. The N++ changes may be interesting as well as far as generating periodic bouts of buzz around the coin.

EVERYONE can be a Zimbabwe trillionaire!! Yay!

I just sold off a small amount to cover my power costs in case its value goes to 0. But I am going to hold on to most of what I have since I think this coin could have a much brighter future than all the LTC clones (which I sold the minute I mined them, hehe). Time will tell.
I think the CPU mining thing is huge, it if can keep that and stand the test of time. I bought some cheap on the new exchange, and am keeping mine. It's definitely got more going for it than CNC and FTC.... but I think people just have a lot of altcoin fatigue now so it's novel technical features are getting discounted.

Just Jr. Members lost ther BTC and they registed in this Forum just to post, that they lost some BTC. A bad joke
Says the JR member? I'm not saying it's true or false, but I will say that its amazing so many people are willing to download a random 'wallet' and run whatever commands some random member tells them to with NO idea what it is they are doing. Ehh, not really amazing. The herd mentality is really popular nowadays; why think, when you can be led? I think it's more the profit motivator at play. Throw in the opportunity to make money, and much reason/caution goes out the window for most folks. It's all about getting there before the other guy. Not saying I don't suffer from this too, but I realize it. Can only mitigate it when you realize it.

I can't seem to reproduce this with the file downloaded from the OP.
SHA hashes?
I can't either.

If you downloaded anything from that scammer called limitless, that is probably the trojan. I don't think it was him: root@minermom:/opt/yacpuminer# grep -R 31.170.160.169 . root@minermom:/opt/yacpuminer# grep -R netne . root@minermom:/opt/yacpuminer# grep -R "31.170" . root@minermom:/opt/yacpuminer# grep -R "bitcoin" . ./NEWS: usage on upstream bitcoind / pool server. ./cpu-miner.c: /* obtain new work from bitcoin via JSON-RPC */ ./cpu-miner.c: /* submit solution to bitcoin via JSON-RPC */ ./README: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55038.0 root@minermom:/opt/yacpuminer#
Not turning up any results in the source at https://github.com/ali1234/cpuminer. He could have tried disguising it more though.

Yacoin.exe did not access my bitcoin wallet.dat. Checked with process monitor. Cannot replicate the issue.
I found another post where an antivirus friendly minerd was hosted on mega. Can anyone confirm that this was where you downloaded rather than the other link https://mega.co.nz/# !shoxkb5b!DjiCAQBQ627TaW0oet1C7mvqM7Q2-2u-g4kDRHbniU4 Original download URL in the launch thread (and in my info thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200170.0) is " https://mega.co.nz/#!5wgDnKyZ!QLfWTXNRMRTwmb60rfpuFgzH48BCl4fpwb8paeAaqRs"

We need screenshots of Wireshark, Process Monitor or Firewall warnings. I can't replicate the issue at all. I've been trying to make it steal my (empty) bitcoin wallet.dat in a VMware, but I'm not succeeding.
Agreed. I am not able to reproduce this. Posters have not posted any screenshots.

I just ran wireshark on the yacoin client I downloaded a few hours after launch. I do not see any connections made to that IP given in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=202070.0 on startup, while running, or on shutdown. Fiddler also shows nothing. IF this is true, perhaps the file could have been compromised at a later date?

Nice "only CPU little user friendly Coin"... There´s two botnets in that pool with more than 140.000 Kh/s, really fair... Fckng ambitious fats I guess crime DOES pay, at least for this.
