Hello everyone!
I come here to request u for some advice. Let me explain a bit. This willbe my second rig (first was built with amd cards in order to mine eth and dcr) and I don't know what to do now, if I should buy again only rx 580 or buy nvidia, because according to this topic, 1080ti is the best mining option...
I've been mining for a while with claymore and ethermine but now I've changed to nicehash pools to be paid in btc.
So I've made some numbers with nicehash and whattomine comparing performing and power draw of rx 580 4gb sapphire vs any 1080ti, and I obtain better results with 5xRX 580 than 2x1080ti and also at a lower price.
Could u explain be why 1080ti is the best mining option actually? I could spend between 2k and 3k on a rig. Best option so?
Thanks in advance!!
This is for what coin / algo is best to mine on the 1080ti card as I understand it. Not a statement that the 1080ti is the best mining card.

I switched everything back to xzc. Difficulty dropped a little and less heat is always good. I've heard good things about BTX, but it requires a private miner.
Apparently the miner is on google? Risky to try it, but seems a few others think it's worth it.

I jumped off suprnova / btg Some reason past hour earnings were showing as 0. The coins been too much of a disaster.

This BTG is just a big joke
I mean, a scam you try to hide it... but this! this is to much!! If you don't take part in it, it really is funny!
I enjoyed the SIGT drama, but this one is killing it. stolen testnet hash, official website down for days, premine scam after launch, and now the split chain!!
Come on! What's next I wanna know!!!
Your 100% correct, this is not only a joke but a complete nightmare for me. I have been jumping from pool to pool, then guess what, the wallets are not working! Best bet for now is suprnova because you don't need a wallet for now. I would never mine on the official pool, they already demonstrated their professionalism and we all know they are crooks, so... Yeah I am mining on Suprnova, currently have Unconfirmed: 0.0402 BTG. Not bad for a few hours of mining. Just hope I could get paid somehow. Also moved to Suprnova... hopefully the BTG from the official pool actually comes through somehow.

Bitcoin Gold "h4x3rotab" -Lead Developer just tweeted out that SuprNova chain IS 100% correct we are back online What a muck up this has been, if they're saying their official pool went down the wrong chain xD That is incorrect: "So it seems the dev's reconsidered... And the chain is valid..." They dont want to look as the fuckups they really are ? Well actually the real messed up ones are Bitcoin Gold developers. I am not sure, seems like coinomi is messed up also look what they said on twitter: "coinomi @CoinomiWallet 8h8 hours ago Τhe Bitcoin Gold team is currently having difficulties bootstrapping the $BTG blockchain. Once these issues are resolved, #BitcoinGold will become available to all #Coinomi users who will then be able to store, send, receive and trade their BTG without any further action." They should just wind it all back, start again and not mess it up this time

So apparently now the Suprnova chain is the correct one from the split with bitcoin gold...

From there Twitter https://twitter.com/SuprnovaPools/status/929958628584493056supr nova @SuprnovaPools So it looks like the Devs of @bitcoingold decided that Suprnova is on "the wrong fork" and their pool is on the right one. If this is true, all mining done on suprnova was worthless and despite it's the longer chain, it's the wrong one and I need to resync the pool 10:26 PM - 12 Nov 2017 Could be something up with pool.gold also. Taking the hash but remaining at 0 shares and not increasing any values.

Well shizzle that was quick tumble.
What about the pool.gold? It's happily taking my hash lol
That's where I am, hope all's ok

Thanks for the response. I'm using the official pool and it has paid out to that address yes. Sorry for the lack of knowledge. I used verify on the 'pubkey' and it came back with "The above public key has been encoded to its address". And if I put in the WIF key it came back with a new address, a longer public key, and a different format private key.

Created a address using https://btgwallet.online/#home and have been mining to this. Any idea how to now get those coins? Originally thought download the QT wallet and import the private key there, but I have 0 active connections and not sure how to get them. Thanks for the help

Both minertopia and btgpool seem to just be down...
Any GPUs run crazy hot with Zecminer (claymore ubuntu)
So i'be got no connections on the QT wallet, any idea how to get some? Thanks

GawQ1yu7nRE17rHvTGAq2wu1WHAChCLdgW - looks like a big farm: 13 MSol/s
Probably a nicehash contract?

Almost time for another crash or delay!
don't jinx it please Can't load the pool page, but seems to be hashing ok in the miner

My EWBF cmd window opens then just closes out? What is wrong?
sounds like your server details are wrong in the .bat

|

AND WE'RE LIVE AND SYNCED UP
and now everythings down
|
|
|
For anyone curious I'm averaging about 12 sol/s more with the dstm over the EWBF with my lil 1050 GTX.
That's a pretty big increase.
