balance went down? then you must generated some pos blocks. Check if the missing balance moved to "stake" below the balance and added a bit more. Once they matured they wil return to balance.
ya so my balance was going up with the new blocks. then it all disappeared (the new stuff) and was a bit lower than at first loaded (the PoS blocks I generated on the old chain I assume) now its creating more new blocks but so far the balance isn't going up. ok I just got my first green checkmark. it seems to be going up again now as I write. if it zero again I will let you know, it seems I mined on a fork or something? I don't really understand whats happening so that's part of the problem. hopefully this grain will stay and were all good thanks for help what's the number on "stake" (the one just below "balance")? is it zero?

do u think this will happen again? where it breaks? or its fixed now? don't worry I wont quote you later if it breaks again lol. This is a rare occurrence. I don't know why. From my search that it occurred only once in CosmosCoin, and once in Philosopherstone. I did not find it happened again. That's all I can say. and yet another post
I think im running my own blocks over again in the blockchain?
my balance went down a bit more, none of the blocks im generating stayed on there. im lookin at transactions and it shows nothing matured.
but I think this might be ok? or does this mean its not working?
blocks are still coming in and I did all the things you said.
it shows transactions and some of them have red clocks, and others above AND below them have ? marks...
working, maybe working, not working?

ok excellent it seems to be working, I will let you know if it update more right now its mining, but so far its slowly catching up on blocks. also im mining a lot of blocks? that's good right? how do we check the progress of blocks? like how many are total? also it was some of my blocks that were lost, I lost 200k GRA but im making it back fast now, if this stays working got some blocks? cool! Don't worry it says out of sync and catching. Mine is sometimes doing that too, there are two chains: the new one which both PoW and PoS work, but is shorter now, and the old one, where last few 1000s are only pos blocks, it is longer at this time. The new chain will catch and surpass the old chain in a day or two. At this time it is 3780 blocks behind.

they haven't come yet, will fix later I guess. But the diff is so low now, you can solo mine.

ya mine is trying to sync to the old chain too I think
sorry, need to use my client to blacklist that node, otherwise it always sync back to the old pos chain, as it is longer at this time (will be surpassed in a day or two). So I modified the process to be this: 1. Quit qt client. 2. Go to Grain config dir. create a new directory (for example called oldchain), move the database dir, blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat files to the new dir you created, then move these files from Blockchain in the downloaded unzipped file, to config dir. This way you can always go back to your old chain if anything happens. 3. Now start grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe, always with the addnodes as above, you should sync and then start to mine.wat is file main.cpp for?
that file is for someone who wants to build their own client, for example linux client (for mining pools for example). After the good chain becomes longer than the old chain, you can use the (old) normal client like before. and use these updated addnodes: addnode=66.187.67.233 addnode=199.58.167.85

I give it 6 weeks then a major patch is needed. Since it was a dev less clone it's as good as dead
" Told you so, lol and you all wasted your time. Go fud your COL and fix it first before coming here. Col still moves after 2-3 months, your piece of shit is dead in 2 1/2 weeks. loosers. COL is doing any PoW? loser, fix it 1st. I could have stupid enough like you, leave GRA as a PoS-only coin. BTW, go away, no one here needs you.

43277 blocks
I did this: 1. 3. Now start your normal qt client (no need to use the downloaded one), always with the addnodes as above, you should sync and then start to mine.
43277 blocks that not correct?
Looks like this is not working, it sync's back to the old chain (as it is longer). Try this: repeat (1) and (2), but then start the client I provided, which blacklisted the block38847, so you won't sync back to the old chain...

Ive been stuck here for a few minutes after updating everything. Im going to let it sit awhile. you can try to mine to see if it works.

my wallet says its ok after I added nodes, but solo mining says its finding blocks and nothing is coming.
not sure if that's what everyone else is getting but I will try to download all that other stuff.
is any1 generating good new grains? plz confirm
what block you are at? I am at 39449 now. I don't know how to find out. on my cgminer it just says this b82c7811 I only have cudaminer on windows and cgminer on Linux so.. on my wallet it says 43269 blocks of transactions history? if I hover the green checkmark. where should I look lol/?? im nub no 43xxx is the old chain. Not good. You may need to sync from scratch, using the client I provided, and addnodes in conf file

"out of sync" is fine, try to mine...
what you sync'd to? I am at 39358 now.
also did you sync from scratch with grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe?
I'm at 39413 right now. Mining doesn't work though, I've solved 20+ blocks solo and every single one has been stale. They don't show up in my wallet either. this should be the right chain... your mined blocks are not accepted? at 39421 now. Nope, seems to be doing the same thing it was before the patch to me. here's my screenshot of the cgminer

ok the PoW mining is back... if you can not sync with addnode above, you need to download this file here, please read the following before you download the file: https://mega.co.nz/#!Mk1HzYpA!eeddQXV3DvRHNbSMLeVuLycfde8sm5mFH-qtlEgxUQAThis is a big zip file (31.7M), which contains 3 parts: - A Blockchain directory which contains the correct blockchain. - A file main.cpp, that contains the above code change. - A windows qt client (grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe), contains the above change. If you can not sync with addnode, the first thing you should try is to replace the blockchain. This is what you do: 1. 3. Now start your normal qt client (no need to use the downloaded one), always with the addnodes as above, you should sync and then start to mine. Only if it is still, not working, then you need to move the blockchain to another dir (like above), and with addnode as above, and start grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe file. Now it should sync from the scratch (will take a while to sync all). Then you can start mine. Let me know if anyone has issue. Good mining Doesn't seem to be able to sync. I replaced the three files and it says it's catching up but it's been stuck on block 39349 for 15 minutes. even not in sync, try to mine to see if you can mine? One sec. Deleted the blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat files and used the new .exe. It's syncing from scratch now and I'll try to mine when it's done. hope you deleted the databse dir too (in Grain dir), in order to sync from scratch... I deleted the database dir too. After syncing from scratch it appears that I'm caught up, but the wallet still says I'm "out of sync" and every share that cgminer submits is stale. "out of sync" is fine, try to mine... what you sync'd to? I am at 39358 now. also did you sync from scratch with grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe?

at 39327 now, please don't forget to put addnode=66.187.67.233 addnode=72.20.18.200
in your conf file.

weird, I am at 39314 now. and I mine fine.

so does this mean my already grains are ok? and now mining works again? I will brb I need to know whats going on I want to mine again if its working. plz tell me all my grains are still ok I mined them so hard I don't want them to disappear. nothing of the mined blocks will be lost, except maximum 3 blocks.
