This is not the point....all project are welcome and useful... the question is is it wise to use funds that way..? mostly amount wise.. for example why there's no more effort put in development of Android Wallet... This will join many ideas already posted here; - like the one; you want to pay for half of the pizza, etc - might completely skip usage of cards, terminals, etc.....Android mobile platform is capable of handling all of that... I just feel that few persons want to get hold of the control of the coin.....and what scares me is their agenda... if they truly pro BC it will be good..but so far they didn't proved anything.... but what if their agenda is destructive ? simple answer is if you don't believe in it don't donate to it. you have no obligation to support the campaign by donating. Hi guys.. been lurking for awhile now. Fairly new to this crypto thing so bare with me. I feel that the mobile phone apps are the best way for BC to gain traction and expand amongst the greatest population. Nearly everyone in this day and age has a smart phone. Do you guys know the app Venmo? (If not: https://venmo.com/). It's an app that allows you to connect to your bank account and make and receive payments from friends. For example.. If I'm out getting dinner with friends and someone spots me, I can easily pay the person automatically through the app. It actually works like a charm. One of the coolest things about this app is that it allows you to store money you have recieved from your friends on the in-app wallet. This money can be left in your Venmo account to pay back others later, which makes it more convenient than having a lot of bank account transactions. These account transactions take a FULL day, at least, to complete. If someone was able to design an app where we could easily pay our friends with Blackcoin (e.g: "wanna split this case of beer" or "hey, lets split the gas on this road trip") and it was to be paid directly to our wallets I think we would have a potential product that could really catch fire. Especially amongst the younger, college generation. It's super convenient, and still takes out the bank as the middle man!! Maybe there is some reason why this would not be capable with the way Blackcoin or other cryptos were made... I will admit I have little knowledge of the inter-workings of cryptos. Wall Street Takeover UpdateInstead of replying to multiple comments, I decided to address some concerns in one post.
Why are we using women? It seems trashy and gives BlackCoin a bad image.
Lets face it sex sells and almost every brand uses sex to sell. Women all dressed alike will garner the attention of everyone and that is what we want. The women will be dressed in black BlackCoin T-Shirts and black jeans or leggings. They will not be dressed trashy, nor will anything inappropriate be exposed. It will be tasteful and the women we hire will have a certain professionalism. No matter if you agree with using women or not, men love to see attractive women. And men will stop and talk, interact with the women, and of course take pictures. By the end of the day BlackCoin Beauty pics and videos will be all over the net.
Why not move this to Times Square?
Been there, done that. My favorite place to have a drink is the Living Room Bar @ The W Hotel Times Square. I am a regular there and as many of you know that area is flooded with people. There is something going on there almost everyday. The problem is 50 women in Times Square will not garner the same attention as Wall Street. Also, as I pointed out we want the backdrop of Wall Street in our photos and videos. We want to associate BlackCoin with wealth. If we really wanted attention we could also give away $5000 worth of BlackCoins to some random person.
This is a waste of money, why are we doing this?
You have to spend money to make money. Yes we could place an ad in a magazine or a newspaper, and yes we could send out dozens of press releases. But this is something that will create instant buzz and give BC notoriety. It shows that this community can think out the box and we are not just another alt coins. It sends a message to the crypto community BlackCoin is on another level.
Will the women be able to explain BlackCoin?
This is not a "lets educate Wall Street about BlackCoin" campaign. We could care less if the women will be effective at explaining the mechanics of BlackCoin. Lets be honest, half the people who are invested in BlackCoin could not effectively explain the mechanics of BlackCoin. That is why the women will have sell sheets and the cards. People who receive the sell sheets and cards will eventually do their own research when they are winding down and near a computer. The purpose of this event is to attract the attention of the media, and using the images/videos to go viral.
How do we know you can pull this off?
It has already been pointed out I have a huge ego.  So my ego will not allow me to do anything less than a successful event. At the end of the day I want this to be perfect because it increases the value of my portfolio as well.
What if it is successful but we do not get the media attention we wanted?
We tried and that is all that matters. We can keep doing the same thing everyone else has been doing, or we can continue setting the bar higher. To be successful you have to take risks. If you are not willing to take risks then crypto is not for you.

I have been promising something big in May, and today I have decided to present my project to the community so together we can make it a reality! My wife and I have been working on this project behind the scenes, and it has never been done before in crypto. We want BlackCoin to be the first Cypto Currency to pull it off!
So what is the big idea?
We want to hire 50 attractive women dressed in BlackCoin T-Shirts, and for 2 hours these women will converge on Wall Street and hand out Wall Street Edition BlackCoin cards and sell sheets describing BlackCoin.
Everything I have asked this community to do has lead us to this moment and now it is time to explain my master plan.
1. I rallied this community together to fund the press release projects so we can introduce the BlackCoin brand to mainstream media outlets, and at the same time learn how to focus our energy towards a single objective.
2. I created the BlackCoin card because I knew in the future we needed something "physical" to allow people to touch and feel. It is hard to get people to believe in something that only exists virtually. The cards are loaded with software that will make it easy to buy, manage, and trade BlackCoins.
3. I rallied this community to contact strategic companies like Vault Of Satoshi because I knew for us to succeed we needed a direct Fiat to BC service here in North America.
4. Now that step 1 -3 has been accomplished, everything is in place for the main event.

Mined yesterday (one R9 290) on Scrypt BC multipool:
received zero ( apparently DOS attack happened, though I mined for a few hours), left BC multipool (I was in front of PC when it stoped comunicating with pool)
checked my wallet today - nothing,
went to IRC where I was told I would get my coins today for yesterday,
setup my GPU for mining on X11 BC multipool, mined a few hours(around 0.9BC confirmed, and 0.6 unconfirmed (I was in front of PC watching),
then received 0.87 BC to my wallet and got -1.29 unconfirmed (THAT IS WITH MINUS SIGN)(instead of +0.5 confirmed)
in 10 mins (-1.29 )became (-1.16) so apparently I was paying off what I didn't owe,
went to IRC to complain,
was told by guy with name <blade...somthing> : "it is a mistake as X11 is still in BETA, but overall (here is keyword) ALL LOOKS GOOD, and if you don't like don't use BC multipool,
What I got out of it, is they do a lot of things manually (I mean payments) and NOONE can check them out, so whatever you get paid, "Don't worry, be happy",
What I would advice to those who didn't join their multipool: DON'T, if you want to support BC, just mine other coins, sell them and buy BC on your own if you feel that BC is your thing, this way you will at least control how much you earned.

Everyone had a -1.29 balance right after payout. The front end was getting confused with calculating balances right after the payout due to the X11 nodes mining different coins. So the quick and dirty fix for now is just to disable them until all coins that were immature at the time of payout have matured (will take few hours). Then the calculations will kick in again and you'll see your balances. Scrypt is fine because it's only mining one coin right now (DOGE) so maturation times are the same for all coins mined. Otherwise, you got 0.87 BC of the 0.9 BC confirmed, and you probably have about 0.6 BC in your rollover now. Sorry you feel that way, and I do support you going off, mining on your own, and buying BC that way. Just be sure you set up your own P2Pool node, otherwise no you don't control how much you've earned. And I said everything was good because nothing catastrophic happened and payout did go out. Considering this was the first day of multi algo mining on my pool with completely new custom code, I'd say it was success.  I've been mining with them for some time now and never had an issue...the payouts always came in sooner or later.. So far Blade was a trustworthy pool admin !! BTW when do you plan to add sha-256 support ? |

How would you know if Maarx, Soepkip or rat4 approved launcher or a different launcher was actually in the final product? as the previous person said...hash (MD5) of other to confirm that the original soft wasn't touched... even better if the check would be included and run automatically at start-up... PS. Iconic no offence and so far you've proven yourself....but you don't know where it will end up...and the hash check is a really good idea..even for your reputation, if someone breaks something and use the cards with wrong intentions you would also be covered... |

The same person or group has been dumping at just under 9k for 15 hours now! They stopped for an hour a couple of times. That is one hell of a lot of blackcoins.
How would you know that it is the same person? I've watched this and interacted with it for about 14 hours, the shape of much of the graph has been affected by my interaction with the dumper (I did about 10% of todays bc volume on mintpal). 1) When it takes a break, it stops suddenly in an on/off way. All sell orders will stop at the same time and the market recovers. Then a while later it suddenly switches back on. Clearly 1 person is commanding it. 2) I've seen what I think is the same person before on other coins. They choose a target number and reaching that number is always in near sight but impossible. Every time you buy another sell order pops up a few seconds later (its done by bot, probably browser extension). After a while the number will drift slowly down over time, but if more than one person/team was dumping it then it could not possibly be this uniform and controlled. 3) The sell list order amounts will all randomly flick up and down, there's no way multiple sellers just happen to all be changing their sell amounts so often. so... how do we kill the beast? It's good that most people are in agreement that there is a “BlackCoin Monster” doing a controlled dump, here are a few of my thoughts: 1) I think the monster is doing it to get rid of its holdings at a profit rather than to control price. Controlling price by selling seems ultimately futile. It is not using big sell walls which it doesn't want to sell, but rather a bot to insert lots of small sell orders dynamically. Looking at the sell order list does not show the massive scale of the dump, so I think it's being hidden to keep people buying into it. 2) It surely has to run out of coins eventually. Its goal is actually similar to ours, it wants to get rid of its coins and we want to buy cheap coins. The way to kill the monster is to do what it wants and keep buying. It's just that there's so many of the coins it's causing problems. 3) This monster has a LOT of coins. I own 2% but it seems to have a lot more than I do. 4) When the monster has dumped for a while the market volume slows and eventually grinds to a halt. People stop buying when they see the price not moving, even though it's good for them if they can get cheap coins instead of expensive ones. Then usually the monster moves the price down a little to stimulate things. The only way to keep the market moving is to either raise or lower the price. 5) I believe this is the same dumper who dumped on SpainCoin a couple of weeks ago and destroyed it (see my previous post on this in my account profile). SpainCoin had a surge of optimism and a big push upwards from 0.00028. Then this dumper kicked in selling at just under 0.0008. It stayed like this for many hours, then slowly the price went down. The dumper stopped dumping around 0.00045, but it was too late by then and everyone had lost confidence and the coin never recovered. I don't believe there's a chance of the BlackCoin community losing confidence and killing the coin (SpainCoin was toilet paper and had no community) but I can see hurdles ahead if this keeps going and the price lowers or the momentum is killed. There could still be quite a bit of lost confidence temporarily. The bot software on the SpainCoin dump worked very much like this “BlackCoin monster” bot does.
