Nice those look great dukester!  Cool  And the spread of MOIN continues!  And good question about the hunt too.  I am wondering about that also.

What is the version of the cryptosprout moin? Is it the old moin or the new moin? Do I need to swap it?

It is the new version.  You don't need to swap it.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ―――――――――――――――― ▲ M O I N ―――――――――――――――̵ on: February 21, 2016, 02:22:31 AM
Thanks KingCaper I think that plan is a good one and I like how the reducing swap value give any remaining MOIN holders a message of urgency that this swap really is about to end.  Maybe wait another day or two at the most to see if anyone has any grievances and then set firm dates to get this swap over with.

any other ways to win some MOINs after SuperBlock done..?

There are the cryptosprout faucets: https://cryptospout.com/faucet/hourly_moin_faucet.html & https://cryptospout.com/faucet/daily_moin_faucet.html

There is the irc chan where rains happen on occasion #moin-crypto

And also there is a contributor point system in the IRC channel where things like retweets or posts or anything creative you can come up with can be rewarded with points.  The contributor with the most points at the end of the time period wins some MOIN.

There will probably be other giveaways and opportunities to win MOIN in the future too.  I was kind of daydreaming about a "game show" in which people can participate to win MOIN. Would like to think of it as more than just a trivia faucet though.  Always open for collaboration.

giveaway end?

yes the recent Twitter giveaway has ended.

Updating www.moinmovement.org with a little bit of info about the current discussion and ending the swap.

I think that is an interesting option axllht, burning some ever x period of time and having the conversion factor reduce so that there is always enough coins to cover the total amount of moinv1 that may be swapped.  thanks for sharing
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ―――――――――――――――― ▲ M O I N ―――――――――――――――̵ on: February 19, 2016, 01:29:32 AM
For me #1 is the best option followed by #6 and then #7.

My reasoning is that #1 is what was announced would happen.  In terms of trust it makes a whole lot of sense to do what was said would happen.  #6 seems ok to me because I really see no issue with people continuing to swap coins if they want, the downside there is simply that it requires KingCaper to keep the MoinV1 chain alive and takes his time to do the swaps as well.  #7 is really similar to #6 but the cost to KingCaper is extended forever, doesn't really seem practical but it would be ok.

#2, #3, #4, and #5 don't make a lot of sense to me.  #2 is the least troublesome but still from a new investor standpoint having the dev team hold ANY large chunk of coins is really not great.  #3 is the worst idea, it would double the coin supply and basically give those new coins generated at zero cost to people that could not care less about the future of this blockchain.  #4 is kind of interesting but there would need to be additional details discussed.  #5 is interesting too but again this will lead to mass dumping.

So basically my perspective is there is no reason to deviate from the original plan and I do not see how any of the new options will benefit the Moin community.  Trust is built simply by turning words into action and for Moin to come all this way and then decide to take a different path would be kind of disappointing.

It would be awesome if people could vote for moin on https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home/Voting  and  on https://safecex.com as well.  Having an additional exchange as Moin community grows would be really great.

Just people buying I think rally, there hasn't really been much for sale and eventually I think people notice this is a nice little community of crypto enthusiasts and this blockchain has great potential.  So I think just in order to get some coins in a small market the price goes up when someone wants to get some coins.   Could be related to the superblock too if someone wants to get some additional weight before then, but not necessarily related.

327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ―――――――――――――――― ▲ M O I N ―――――――――――――――̵ on: February 15, 2016, 04:25:06 PM
Update moinmovement.org with a little post about the superblock;

http://www.moinmovement.org/news/final-moin-superblock-approaches-what-is-that-and-what-is-next

Quote
Getting close to block #105,120 .  The final "superblock".  That means the wallet which receives the reward for staking that particular block will receive 50,000 Moin instead of the normal percentage they would be entitled to.  It is a bit like a lottery and fun to see which wallet wins the block.  After the superblock the community will decide exactly when to end the coin swap from MoinV1 to the current Moin .  Now I am going to crack open a can of Moin to enjoy and hope everyone a merry superblock!

No he means giveaways are against the forum rules you dumb asshole.

Just wanted to share that we received our first sticker trade.  People use their Moin to get cool stickers that can spread the word about Moin.  The Moin they spend for the stickers goes back into more community projects for Moin! Pretty cool  Cool
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ―――――――――――――――― ▲ M O I N ―――――――――――――――̵ on: February 09, 2016, 01:22:01 AM
Stickers have arrived!

I made an update at http://www.moinmovement.org/

The stickers are $2 a sticker OR 1000 MOIN per sticker OR in the case that you end up market buying MOIN just to get stickers then the rate you purchased at will be honored by providing proof of purchase during the sticker payment.  You can contact me however you want if you are interested in the stickers.  I setup a form at http://www.moinmovement.org/store/p1/Moin_Sticker.html for this purpose.  Or you can contact me here on BCT or on irc #moin-crypto

The other news is that the Moin Movement Fund has been created.  This fund will be held at address http://explorer.discovermoin.com/address/MfENYsNCGq2J2UiNeRpLUoZiSvZz9zJkFo and will be used for future Moin community projects.  All proceeds from the Moin sticker project will go into this address.  The fund has been initiated with a donation of 5000 Moin.  Cool

All the addnodes in the world will not matter without an exchange this coin is worthless and mining is a total waste of time. At this time I am not aware of it even been considered to be listed anywhere and I have suggested it to a bunch of places. It seems this coin is finished - what a shame.

It is on the voting list at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home/Voting
Also can be voted for at https://safecex.com/coin/add although it wont be visible until it gets 4 or 5 votes
you  could always get it considered at other exchanges too im sure if it was worth it to you

really though, wasn't this finished a long time ago?

Nice site. How many of you guys are working on this moin project? Wish I had a job with moin.  Grin

made a little update to www.moinmovement.org

I made the www.moinmovement.org website to try and help with getting information to, and connecting with, people who notice Moin.  I do not have an official connection to the Moin project but am a community member like you.  I'm open to hearing any ideas and am happy to help where I can, come chat in #moin-crypto IRC or drop a line on the http://www.moinmovement.org/contact.html page if you feel like it.

If you are a programmer or have other special technical skills that could help the project then KingCaper is the man you want to talk to.  He is the swap organizer and has done all the real work getting Moin to where it is.  He is available on IRC quite often as well.  Cool

I found somewhere it is listed.  https://www.coins-e.com/exchange/RIPO_BTC/

I know nothing about the exchange and it and clearly it hasn't been used for RIPO in a long time...

Stake test update Update - Both of the test wallets have now staked successfully their inputs of 1000 moin.  They took on average about 47 hours and both minted a little over 2 moin.  Continuing to track the staking progress and will report back with more data.

I put this little update on on http://www.moinmovement.org/ as well.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ―――――――――――――――― ▲ M O I N ―――――――――――――――̵ on: January 25, 2016, 03:16:22 PM
One of those "test" wallets staked yesterday http://explorer.discovermoin.com/address/MZy1m7qWqb9X3D62vUWHc7RkdX3ZZPqRVg  .  So that took about 40 hours total after those inputs.  I am not certain which input was the one that staked, kind of curious if it was the largest one or not.  Probably it was? I am going to get in touch with the wallet owner to see if they can tell.   Cool

Well if you are a gambler then it is a chance to buy more cheap.

thats the thig with prices so low you don't really need to gamble much..... buy a few throw them in a wallet and forget about em for awhile. I myself grabbed another CEO seat with the recent shenanigans

what were the shenanigans ?
I would like to know why you think the price is low .

Something to do with poor financials. Buy or sell ? at this moment it could go either way.

100 satoshi here we come then

I guess MOBY is as fanciful as Moby Dick

I've always felt that was the joke.
