321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VNL] VanillaCoin.net [WhirlpoolX Algo] [Whitepaper Inside] [Poloniex] Update! on: March 18, 2015, 10:26:12 AM
what's going at C-Cex frist missing deposit of VanillaCoin and now it won't let me log in to my account say's my passwords wrong .So i rest the password with the email link  and now the new password is wrong ? C-Cex get hacked anyone having any issues logging in to C-Cex

I am still on C-Cex I did not have problems to log in, but something bad is going on, all my VNL are not in there and there is no VNL wallts. C-Cex said this is a Dev's problem and here in in thic chat some one replied my that it is a C-Cex problem. The point is we the costumers have lost all our VanillaCoin and no one seems to be interested to fix this nasty mess.

I asked C-Cex to de-list VNL until they fix their issues. Poloniex is doing just fine with their VNL wallets as usual. Cool

Thank you for your support.
Are you helping them with their problem? They were the first exchange to add vanillacoin after all.
Regards,
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: March 16, 2015, 09:37:46 AM
Now, where are we on the roadmap ? What's the last step which has been succeeded ?

Dev said on Feb 22 they would release geocaching in a month, so we are only like a week away  Smiley

Okay, good.

What about this ?

When I open the wallet on Windows I got a message from my antivirus, it puts the wallet in quarantine and I can't open it.
Is it normal ? Roll Eyes

I think I saw some people saying kaspersky thinks something in the wallet is a virus. I'm sure it's a false positive. I hope you can open your wallet again.

I'm not using Kasperky...
When the problem comes frow ONE antivirus, I can understand that it can be an error, but when it comes from TWO different ones, I'm a bit sceptic... Roll Eyes
you should test with https://www.virustotal.com/
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 10MHASH CCminer modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernals by SP. on: March 06, 2015, 10:45:58 PM
I am working. Search for Claymore. H7s miner is realy good
I believe his miner works only with amd cards.
He has a good cpu miner too.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: March 05, 2015, 04:36:02 PM
It is 3 times slower on win64
BTW, it's a "generic" version, not for AES processors or any acceleration. Designed to work on old 32bits CPU.
I will release an optimised version later if anyone want.
Are you the same singman on forum.hardware.fr ?

http://dwarfpool.com/xmr/calc

With a hashrate of 6.250 KHASH. (around 25 750ti's)

you get around 6.66 XMR per day with the current difficult and miner.

tanx sp ...

I did the calculations and I would be getting a little over 8 xmr a day ... which is a little over 0.01 btc at today's trade ...

in comparison to around .028 btc mining x11 at yaamp - that is a very large difference ...

but then again you have optimized the ccminer in git quite well too Smiley ...

#crysx

With claymore miners, a high end desktop cpu can do about 300h/s or al little more whereas a R9 290X (hynix memory) can do 800 h/s.
The crypotnight algo is rather cpu friendly.

Probably due to botnet mining, the network hash is too much for gpu mining being profitable.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SGMiner V5.2 on: March 03, 2015, 10:00:33 PM
You should be very careful when using this software!!! There are no references to sources, no explanation who made those builds, etc.

This is most probably malware! I'd keep away from this software, it might even be some Bitcoin-stealing malware inside or at least some hidden pool mining inside.

I don't think there is malware in it... I mean, I did a scan myself and whatnot. It seems safe to me, I've been mining for about an hour on it.
I shall update you guys on further mining with it.
Do not use it on a machine where you store bitcoins !
Malware in "optimized" miner or new wallet are the most common tactics to steal your bitcoins! New malware are not always detected by antivirus
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: March 03, 2015, 12:32:43 PM
Anyone here who supports to launch a brand new similar but improved 'spreadcoin' ?

This will kill the coin. The reason everyone is here and working so hard is because there has been a great amount of time and money invested in this.  If we start over then we lose it all.
A coin with a shameful history should be abandoned, shouldn't it ?
There is no such a shameful history : the dev disappeared, whithout dumping his wallet and we don't know the reasons.

Almost every coins had some "dark/bad events" :  fastmine (intentional or not), dev abandoning the coins, exchange hack ... price manipulations...

328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: March 03, 2015, 12:30:58 PM
Take a look at the 365day chart on CoinMarketCap

I can see two head and shoulder patterns, one inside another.

Strange thing is, MrSpread seems to have left the community at the same time the chart shows the last shoulder.
Is that a coincidence?
But he didn't sold his remainings coins (about 65000) ... which are worth 3 btc now, and more than 15 btc at the last shoulder.
Why?

Hey guys, is everyone able to see Mr. Spread's email address on Spreadcointalk?
Because I can, and theres something about it... It seems familiar.

It reminds me of Satoshi mixed with Gavin Anderson.
No I can't. Did you try to send him an email?

I think that's exactly what he means. Does anyone know Satoshi's email? No.
I think he (satoshi)  had a generic email then suppress it later on.
For Mr Spread : the spread forum let you send an email with the forum interface : but only admins have access to real email.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VNL]- VanillaCoin.net [ New WhirlpoolX Algo ] on: February 27, 2015, 09:24:29 PM
Hello here ccminer with whirlpoolx for nvidia cards: http://ge.tt/4M837JB2/v/0?c
(currently only compute 3.5 and higher are supported)

This version include a 5% dev fee

current speed: gtx980 203MH/s
                     gtx780 170MH/s
                     gtx750ti 62MH/s

it supports both vanillapool and supernova pools
The included bat are for pluck : are there any particular setting for a GTX 980 or GTX 970 ? difficulty multiplier.
Thanks for providing a way for small miner to take advantage of your miners : the per fee solution is best for me.

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUP] Supcoin, PLUCK algorithm, Just Launched, Mine Now! on: February 26, 2015, 12:55:22 PM
Yeah, nVidia has poor performance with this algo Sad
use sgminer with the nvidia, will get you better performance... also considering where is the price (even though the difficulty is high) don't really expect me to spend any time making a better version.
I asked for a little donation and mostly received nothing (2.77 sup on irc channel lol... )... yeah yeah there were bounties (sold only one actually kept the second for gambling...)

The things which is funny, when a release is downloaded a large number time, I usually receive nothing (here got pretty fast in the 300+ download and... mostly nothing  Grin)
Miners developement funding is a major problem. I suggested today to sp_ to make a subscription based program : pay a fee per month to access early version of beta ccminer (with all recent optimisations, ideally adapted to the numbers of gpu : fee per gpu or per hashrate)  which become public a month or two later and rince and repeat.
I think this will be more sucessfull  than selling private miners for 0.1btc for a specific coin/algo.
A fee percentage "Claymore style" is an other alternative for the beta "optimized" version.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 26, 2015, 12:51:05 PM
You guys seriously trying to explain his absence or it it just denial phase? Cheesy
I think you don't really believe in everything you say here. Dev left and abandoned you. He would have said he is going for a holiday or something and will be offline for a few days. He obviously knew it would crash the price.
It does not fucking matter if he is chinese or from Uruguay. If he still cared about this coin he would have said something long time ago. Wake up.

Abandonning the coin without first selling all your coins before the crash is not rational. Some of his wallet are still full of spr
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 25, 2015, 05:27:16 PM
The guy realised he was not loaded with SPR enough so left and now we can expect a new drk clone very soon Smiley

MrSPR?

 Huh

SPR wasn't a clone.

Hashrate has gone up in the last 12 hours. I wonder if Mr. Spread is mining the crap out of this.

Not a clone......?  Was the project not pulled from DRK's GIT?

You might as well speculate that the Easter Bunny is mining the crap out of it.

Dude, I know...I've been in your shoes before.  I hope he does come back to make you a ton of money, but past experience shows me that he's gone.
Almost all atcoins have been cloned/ forked from others coins (and at the end from bitcoin) : the term fork is more appropriate than clone if the dev has made significant changes.

336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 25, 2015, 03:44:46 PM

Please post the TXid code. Tyvm. Smiley

Take a look at page 10 of this thread and you can find out yourself Wink

Thanks.

How do we know that you are not one of his alts ?

How could someone prove something like this?
You asked for the txid and he gave it : he proved his point! That's all.

Above all, it is clear the dev has still lots of coins : would he be a scammer he would have stayed a little longer to finish selling and win a few btc more.
Leaving make its remaining coins loosing value quickly.
Either something happened to him or at least to his internet connection, either he is not acting rational.

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [VNL] VanillaCoin [WhirlpoolX] [Angel Investor] [White paper] GPU miner is out! on: February 24, 2015, 01:47:52 PM
Working SGMiner for WhirlpoolX from source: http://vanillacoin.net/forums/viewtopic.php?id=507

The one in the OP is badly broken on Linux.

Good job as always Wolf. It builds and works nicely -- ~90Mh/s on 290x with the catalyst opencl2 14.41rc1 drivers.
that's all ?  Grin

I didn't edit the OpenCL.
still... I saw someone reporting at 120MH/s with a 280x

I'm pushing over 150MH/s now - beat him.  Grin
I do 500GH/s with 4 cards on supernova, this is unbeatable   Grin Grin

more seriously the 980 does 190MH/s the 780ti ~160MH/s and the 750ti 50~60MH/s

with sgminer ?
no ccminer
available publicly or is it only yours?

Remember everyone, this is for a Klondike bar.

I wish I knew what you are talking about. I've Googled "Klondike bar" but what does an icecream have to do with anything that's happened so far? (I'm in Australia so please forgive my lack of contextual awareness!)

There was a commercial that goes "What would you do-ooooooo for a Klondike Bar?"

Has no bearing on SPR. The dev is MIA and community members are trying to pick up where he left off, although I have doubts this will end well--tweak some variables here, and there, run it on testnet, push it to main, something breaks, oh-shit-what-do-we-do sort of scenario). With the pool argument gone, SPR is in bad shape, evident by the price action.

Okay, thanks for the explanation.

I agree. The likelihood of the people that have stepped forward pulling off a workable multi-individuals-but-no-leader team approach to taking SPR forward is minimal. Still, kudos for those people that believe they can do it for stepping forward to have a go.

There was a similar event for fluttercoin (innovative with prof of transaction for instance): kidcoin, the talented dev loose his motivation and left. Some members has stood up and the dev team is doing rather a good job now.

I think I can optimize this. Who wants a faster miner? Anybody willing to donate 0.1 BTC?

probably me!
depends of what hashrate you can reach.
