I've sold all my miners and my total BTC reward is just under the minimum send threshold of 0.01 in Slush's account settings.

Is there any way to get this final amount sent to my address?

Unfortunately I don't think so as this has been asked several times in the past.

That is a good question, from the pics that were on the FB page it looked as if it would have been pretty nice.

Account and stat pages down for anybody else?

+1 Down in Texas Cry  but I'm sure the back end is still mining Grin

Thanks, for response.

Checked miners and they all do appear to be submitting. Be nice if they were implementing the new interface they have been working on for what seems like forever.

Nice to see bitmain break into this market, can't wait to give it a try.

Do you know off hand what size screws you used to mount the 2nd fan?

4mx50 is what I used.

Thanks, going to pick some up tomorrow.

The DC/DC chip on ethernet controller handles inputs from 5 to 12V. We tested cases of 5V and 12V and both work.

We also tested the temperature using thermal pads and not using. There are only negligible differences. This is why we marked them as optional. On the other hand, the current thermal pad solution may introduce bubbles which worsens the temperature in some local area. So we do no install them by default, but still ship them along in case there is any rare situation when the back of PCB is damaged and becomes conductive.

Thanks for the info, so if you don't use the thermal pads or any paste it won't void the boards warranty?

I did notice today when I pulled a bad board to send back to Canary the pad had developed 2 large bubbles in it and I had it good and flat when I installed it. Would you recommend not using it?

All pools have some sort of penalty to prevent hopping which is what you did do. We all have been bit by it.

No, actually Slush is pretty much the ONLY pool with an actual *penalty* to people that leave, by constantly degrading old submissions so they rapidly become worthless.  With PPLNS, the expected value of your share is the same whether you stop mining the second you submit it or you keep mining.  With PPS, your share has a pre-determined value.  With Eligius' CPPSRB, it's the same.  Those are really the 3 dominant payment methods used by all major pools these days, and all 3 are anti-hopping by being unhoppable, not by trying to penalize users if they leave the pool.

EDIT:  And for the post below:  Slush's score system is hoppable.  It's just not hopped much because the profitability of pool hopping is virtually 0 when there aren't multiple large hoppable pools, so nobody bothers anymore.

I stand corrected "penalty" might not be the correct wording in referring to the other pools, but it is the anti hopping mechanism in place here (as the loss itself will discourage hopping).

Really very good thankyou for this info we just recieved 5 units of these miners and waitng on rest of our order, i do want to comment the folowing,
1: packaging is not the best we recieved one unit with suport base bent and one of the R44 BUSTED.( i guess that board will not hash)
2: WE PAID FOR ASSEMBLED UNITS AND THEY SENT THERMAL PADS NOT INSTALLED.(to me that means no quality control !, i hope my units run well will advise)
As far as the erruptor is concerned i would like to verify , the ones i recieved say 5 volts input,( not 12v) please advise, and thankyou again for the most thorough guide in setup.
wait so do you need to unscrew all the boards or did you somehow get extra pads?

Do not run without thermal pads!!!!

I am running two and I used the adapter that runs off your PSU, https://buyahash.com/shop/molex-4-pin-gridseed-power-plug-2-1mm-dc-barrel-plug/

I learned the hard way also. Now I just "set it and forget it".

Yeah but what sucks is if  you have a internet or power problem that takes your machines down you get penalized

+1... that system is not fair. Then it's not pps because I had all those shares and i received nothing because I just mined 15/16 hours . 15 hours lost . Fukin great system

There is a whole thread on Pools if you aren't happy here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=41.0

What a joke.
334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: September 05, 2014, 12:20:15 AM
they started to become greedier and greedier, so no more coupons for us ! Grin

Let's be clear here, Bitmain had a secret agenda, which has now been revealed ... hashnest ... YOU (the buying public/private miner) are not now on their main agenda ....

Shame, I had faith like others ... and bought a good many miners from them over the months.

I really think this is what the future holds for us, not to far off in the distant future I think home mining unfortunately will be a thing of the past. The hardware is just progressing so fast it is getting more and more difficult to house and power what is necessary to acquire btc. Forget the ROI debate as I mine to hold for investment with the hope one day the will rise in price. My 2 cents.

Has anyone figured out how to get these things to work on pools other then ghash without setting up a proxy?

Works on slush and bitcoinaffiliate (read thread and make your own decision on this one.)
336  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 04, 2014, 09:20:10 PM
I know there was quite a run yesterday.
Are these wild fluctuations typical these days over here?

Last couple of previous months have really been good but we did have a couple of 24 hour rounds. It averages out to a 5 / 6 blocks a day with the larger payouts is more than I make anywhere else. But to answer your question yes it is typical to see days like this every few or so.
337  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round2, Price Down to <1btc per TH/s] on: September 04, 2014, 03:48:51 PM
Is there a way to have a backup pool programmed?

I know BFG will allow you to if you are using as a proxy, check with Sidehack as he was working on adapting slush proxy to work with various pool but not sure if it allows backup pools as I never have used it.
338  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #2 on: September 04, 2014, 03:46:15 PM

thanks for info.

this gear really likes the second fan.  I ordered 2 of these from amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KESSI2A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am 90% sure these will work.  they will move air much quieter. I should get them on thurs.
A pair of 140mm fans will fit. a pair of these may even be better

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220056&cm_re=silverstone_140mm-_-35-220-056-_-Product

these have the same mounting holes as the stock fan but are oversized .

Anyword if these work? This machine in MUCH louder than expected/reported. Can't really have it in an area people will be...

Trying to find quiet high CPM fans. I'll probably add a 2nd as you did.

I ordered 6 will let you know how they work when I get them.

When you say """let it rain""" When Will that happen... Only been here for 2 days with only 2 s3 but in the time i been on mining.bitcoin.cz 2 of my s1 at ghash have made the same amount as my 2 s3 in here.. So When Will it ""rain""

If we get more than 6 or 7 a day thats rain.  May seem slow here but give slush some time it is consistent in the long run.

JT

Remember your payouts are a lot higher per block also.

Now isn't this more fun than a xxx payout everyday at the same time basically at same ole amount?  Smiley
