New version (0.9.14.1) with two changes:
1. If you are using encrypted wallet you will now be prompted to enter a password to start mining. In previous version mining just silently didn't start. Password is necessary because all mined blocks are signed with a private key. In principle, it is possible to enable mining on a locked wallet but this seems to be to intrusive change which will take a lot of time and will touch one of the most crucial parts of the client related to wallet/private keys management.
2. Rules for relaying and mining large transactions were changed. This is not a hardfork because rules for transactions that are already contained in block remain unchanged. Previously the only way to perform large transaction was to mine block with it by yourself. Seems that several other cryptos have the same issue but they may never faced it due to different parameters.

Besides of this issue with mining on encrypted wallets there is also issue with large transactions. They are not relayed/mined by other nodes because they think that fees are too low. So this is not your fault.
I recovered your wallet simply by running spreadcoin-qt with -salvagewallet argument, it took some time because there were many keys but it worked.

I'm now making builds of a new release which will address both issues (this is not a hardfork).

They appear as spend but unconfirmed transaction? Running wallet with -salvagewallet argument should help.

I now see that mining doesn't work with encrypted wallet. You can either use unencrypted wallet or unlock your wallet from Debug Console using "walletpassphrase password 100000", where 100000 is the number of seconds your wallet will be unlocked. I will see what I can do to enable mining with with encrypted and locked wallet.

If you still have your old wallet.dat then you can still recover all your coins. You just need to replace your current wallet.dat with it.
Your transaction maybe never got to the miners because you were trying to send it from old client which was only connetcted to old clients.

I don't know much about OS X, I have never used it. I'm just using the same build process from Darkcoin. Do you have the same issue with Darkcoin? Maybe something is wrong with file permissions, i.e. there is no executable permission, although in that case you would not be able to run it from command line either.

It is important if both miner and pool knows the private key. Whoever will be first to broadcast the spending transaction to other miners will win.

I found what was wrong. I am now making new builds, this will take some time (1-2 hours). I will release new builds and at the same time commit changes to github.

During my testing everything was ok but now something went wrong, I'm looking at it now, will try to fix as soon as possible.

Hardfork is set to block 43000.
The general idea is that there is some additional information in each block that proofs that miner knows whole block and private key for spending coinbase transaction. That means that if you mine in a pool you can submit shares as usual and get reward for them but if you will actually find a valid block then you can send it directly to the network instead of the pool and get full reward for it. Pool may detect it and ban you but this is still may be advantageous for you. If your mining power gives you low probability of finding a block then if you will accidentally find a block it gives you more profit even if the pool will ban you for not sharing this block. If you have enough mining power to find blocks consistently then you can connect to a pool and submit shares for some time but steal the first found block, this way you can get both reward for your shares and actual block that you mined, this is like doubling your hashrate.
Given all this I don't expect that anyone will create a pool. But if someone will then I will modify whatever miner software will be used for it to implement the stealing described above, we may expect that most pool miners will then switch to this cheating version which will make this pool useless.

Also I made built-in GUI for the miner. Currently it is still the same CPU miner but in the future I want to make as interface to external miners. Other developers (and me) will be able to independently create CPU and GPU miners and fastest such miners will be distributed with the wallet and available from GUI.

I changed difficulty retarget to six hours. I don't want to set it to lower values because then it may become vulnerable to manipulation by setting improper block timestamps.

Existing GPU miner will become unusable after the fork point because of the modifications to the mining algorithm which are necessary to prevent pools.

So here is description of the feature that I want to implement. Some may like it while some may not.
I want to make this coin for solo only mining without any pools (mining will be made in a such way that miners will be able to consistently steal money from the pool). With blocks generated every minute even with thousands of miners you will still be able to get block once in several days (if you have average hashing speed). There will be no concentration of mining power in large pools as in Bitcoin and there will be no multipools. We can than advertize it as being more decentralized than Bitcoin. Mining will be more like a lottery which may be more interesting or in contrary distract people form mining (however, if you mine for long time than you don't actualy need any pools).

What do you think about this idea?

EDIT: Note that resulting transaction may be large because you have many small inputs, so it may take some time to create this transaction, your wallet may appear to be not responding during that time.

I'm feeling really sorry for all this situation.

There will be relaunch.

1. From the launch there will be some new feature that I originally wanted to implement as a hardfork and there probably will be no hardforks after the launch. This will take some time to implement, it takes longer than I originally thought.
2. There was small instamine at the launch, with the new launch there will be low reward for the first blocks to counter that.
3. There will be at least 24 hours between announcement and actual launch. If you will check this thread at least one per day you will not miss it.
4. This time I will back up my wallet like hell, this situation will not happen again.

I think that any premine is bad. But the ones who mined this coin will probably be the first miners to mine after relaunch so they still get their own piece of the pie. Probably there will be more miners after relaunch so everyone (including me) will get less, but I think this will be more fair.

Yeah, this was bad idea. I was mining from the beginning on several PCs, there were about 80k coins.

I suggest you the following workflow:
1. Stop your wallet if it is running.
2. Save current blockchain state by copying Motocoin data directory.
3. Start wallet and send all your motocoins to C-CEX.
4. Wait for the necessary number of confirmations (or mine them by yourself).
5. On C-CEX exchange all your motocoins to bitcoins and withdraw these bitcoins.
6. Stop your wallet and disconnect from internet.
7. Start wallet using the old blockchain state that you saved in step 2.
8. Send all your motocoins to yourself.
9. Mine as many blocks as necessary to overwhelm the original blockchain.
10. Restore your internet connection.

12. PROFIT!!!

If C-CEX software is smart enough it will stop to accept motocoins after this. If not then you can repeat it as many times as necessary to buy all orders on C-CEX.
