It seems that the blocks are going faster because its the weekend. This might be your only chance to win a few blocks everyone.

It begins!

The block explorer apparently still needs to be intermittently kicked, so it is not always showing the newest blocks, but they should still always be searchable and the height displayed under node information on the status page mostly keeps up to date.
Btw, how come i'm able to use the first filter, except the blocks don't get accepted? Does it use the old generation method to make the map and thats why?

Have you hand-mined any blocks yet?

Yes, I think if it happened to also pass the path length check somehow the block would actually be accepted.

Yes, a few.

Running in software mode.
Game hangs when I'm touching the flower. "Congratulations" appears and nothing happens (no coins mined)

In general this usually means that the wallet rejected the block as invalid for some reason.  I think this should more or less only happen when using a map filter other than "None" but I'll look into any other possible causes.

If I knew how to, I could have just 51% attacked the network. Well, its more like a 100% attack since i'm the only one playing.
I suggest more people start mining / spreading the word.

Yes, I've been trying to push for this as much as possible, for precisely this reason.  We have just enough hash-rate through the day that if you wait for at least double confirmations (as I'd suggested a few times in the past, when we were still at risk of warp attack) you'd probably have little to worry about, but we do still have very low rates, particularly during off-peak hours.  After difficulty target increases the situation will hopefully be quite a bit better, but we will still need to maintain a presence of players as much as possible!  We need to be "boots to pavement" pretty hard on getting and keeping more miners right now, and through the first few difficulty targets.  Just over 1000 minimum difficulty blocks remain.  This will likely be the last ~20k "easy moto" ever up for grabs.

EXPERIENCED DRIVERS NEEDED

In other news, Insight block explorer is very finicky and has trouble keeping up (and even tends to hang/crash in various ways) so although I still think of it as one of the best block explorers available it might not be a good fit for Moto.

I'm working on prepping a new set of patches to the wallet.  These updates will be strictly cosmetic and explicitly not impacting protocol.  Hopefully these will be in a good state to publish within a few days.

I'm also planning a more significant feature to implement later, which will eventually impact protocol.  Specifically, it will add some new transaction details for recording something like an ELO rating on chain.  Wink

If I knew how to, I could have just 51% attacked the network.
I suggest you the following workflow:
1. Stop your wallet if it is running.
2. Save current blockchain state by copying Motocoin data directory.
3. Start wallet and send all your motocoins to C-CEX.
4. Wait for the necessary number of confirmations (or mine them by yourself).
5. On C-CEX exchange all your motocoins to bitcoins and withdraw these bitcoins.
6. Stop your wallet and disconnect from internet.
7. Start wallet using the old blockchain state that you saved in step 2.
8. Send all your motocoins to yourself.
9. Mine as many blocks as necessary to overwhelm the original blockchain.
10. Restore your internet connection.
11. ? ? ?
12. PROFIT!!!

If C-CEX software is smart enough it will stop to accept motocoins after this. If not then you can repeat it as many times as necessary to buy all orders on C-CEX.

I suggest you the following workflow:
.........
11. ? ? ?
12. PROFIT!!!

And just make sure to do it all at least twice as quickly as the rest of the network can produce blocks, of course.

Easier said than done.  Less than 1000 blocks until target makes it much more difficult, too.

In the long run you'll probably stand to profit more by just spending your time mining as normal and holding the coins for a bit.

I'll try this.
I don't think the mining time will decrease since no one was mining for at least 2 hours yesterday. I was at my friends house and i mined 6 blocks in a row and then a while later when I got home I still had the latest block.

It sounds as if you want me to do this as you didn't tell me not to.

It will depend on run times of solutions, as well.  We'll see soon enough.

ooh I don't know... It's gonna be "expensive" (probably cheap for you)... *fingers crossed* Smiley

Were you synced, with active peers?

Is there anything of note in debug.log?

Are you sure you are not using either an old motogame or wallet binary?

Are you sure you are on the "None" filter?

Is anyone else on your network also playing? (I've noticed issues when UPnP gets used and there is more than one client on the local network.)
