I like the asus non reference as well. I haven't been able to try a reference 5850 yet because it was DOA. Sapphire non reference though, the fan will fail eventually. I still buy them but something you need to factor in

I don't get it either, why are all negative bitcoinica posts moved off the main forum or deleted. But their announcements which never have any proof and are probably stalling tactics are splashed all over the front page. Who even knows what is worthy of being on the main forum anymore?

would rather do it by moneypak though, will sell for 40 dollar moneypak

Why do we keep letting employees of bitcoinica give "Announcements" without any proof anything will actually happen. I see no reason to not believe they are going to run off with our money. Every update ever given every minuscule payout has always been it appears to delay and give false hope. They have played on our emotions by passing blame around and causing members of this forum to take sides. The drama regarding bitcoinica is not important to me. They are responsible to give back the remaining percentage of funds they may have and then we should be responsible to sue them for the rest due to their incompetance. If they do not give back the remaining funds they do have anyone associated with bitcoinica should be considered untrustworthy and not allowed to do or get any business from this forum. If they are allowed to stay I see no reason to keep an account here. I don't think this should be a haven for scammers. Bitcoin is not bitcointalk.org

Most video cards in the used market these days are from miners (at least radeon 5800 series). I would advise against it if you want something to work for years to come and don't want to have to replace your card in a year. I would get anything in the 7000 series you can afford even a 7770 radeon will play most games perfectly at 1080p. The more expensive cards are mostly just needed for ultra high resolution multi monitor gaming. Then just have someone help you setup cgminer with dynamic intensity and your good to go

if your going to do this get a motherboard with at least 3 pci-e slots (I like asrock extreme3) so you can expand later I know you will want to, or get a 5970. They are selling below $300 lately. Corsair makes great power supplies and is one of the most critical components of your mining rig. I would suggest the tx650 for room to grow, but you could get away with the vx450
edit: if your living in a small apartment/house you probably don't want to do this unless you can vent heat outside. Every watt you use for mining is eventually turned into heat

I have a switch that works fine but not with miners hooked up to it. So I think both answers are a possibility and in the order of likelihood as well. The solution to the first is replace the modem, the second try a pool that runs on a different port, or try each card running on a different pool

Scammer tags is not enough. We want a sticky post that says to be wary of putting any money in Intersango's exchange as well if not on the main discussion board at least in the trading subforum

I also love the implications of health issues. As someone who has been screwed several times by eBayers, every time its always oh I've been in the hospital, or I've been visiting my parents funeral. Its really the oldest story in the book to buy time
