Any interest in an auction for the 2013 Casascius 0.5 BTC Brass?

If at least two people show interest I'll set it up.  Smiley
323  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Taking Offers] 2013 Casascius VOID Coin (MS-65) on: February 01, 2016, 12:47:00 AM
So far no offers on this coin. I must admit I am pretty surprised by this!

I'll give you 150 ether for it.

What is that in Bitcoin? I really do not follow alt coins much.

~1BTC, like $7 short.

I would assume he is looking more towards an offer of 4 BTC at the very least. But I could be wrong.

I totally forgot to mark that Sold. Thanks for the reminder!

...
Are there any higher grades that you know of??
...

Dazed has put together a thread with a overview from the ANACS population database:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1310310.0

It makes me sad that the population reports don't differentiate between brass and silver  Cry

Also those reports are flawed because they do not account for individuals who have gotten the same coins graded multiple times.

We should almost have someone compile a list of known grades and make our own. I would assume that most of the graded coins belong to members of this forum. I wouldn't mind putting together a table, I'm not sure if there would be any interest or if individuals wouldn't want to reveal what they own though.
326  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Taking Offers] 2013 Casascius VOID Coin (MS-65) on: January 31, 2016, 03:38:59 AM
There are 6 that I know of including Blazed's and Monkeynuts', and I like to think that I have done a significant amount of leg work and know most of the owners in the bitcointalk community as well as the original owners who received them from Mike.

I highly doubt there are many more than this, I think Blazed's statement that there were around 12 total is fairly accurate, and I would agree that most of them have been abused and forgotten. Definitely a very rare coin, nice grade as well! I'm glad to see I still have the highest grade though  Grin

Since I'm putting together the specs for elianite's encyclopedia (includes highest grade per coin), what was the grade you received?

PM'd. Don't want to hijack this for sale thread anymore than I already have.

If we are talking Casascius coins then post whatever you like in my threads. I assume you got MS-66 on yours?

That is correct  Smiley

330  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Taking Offers] 2011 Casascius Error Coin - Raw on: January 26, 2016, 04:17:49 PM
Is the last digit missing on the hologram?

I noticed that also, but it must not have been printed from what I can tell? The coin does not look handled to me in any way. Here is the full address -> https://blockchain.info/address/17jQvv24kHXpW9RctP2SoE12Z8Z45euQG9

So it is missing "4"

In your opinion does the coin look cleaned? It would be strange that Mike forgot to print the last digit.

Definitely a stunning coin... Is that fresh off of some forgotten roll? It doesn't seem faded in the least. I would definitely like to be included on the group PM bid if you would be so kind as to include me. Thanks  Smiley
332  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Peeled 2011 Casascius 25 BTC Coin / Graded MS-62 / Slab Included on: January 25, 2016, 12:32:01 PM
I offered 0.8BTC as well. Apparently someone has bid up to 1.2BTC now. I would love a public auction if all those involved would agree to it so that there is more transparency in the bidding process.

I need around 6k - 8k floppy discs leave me a message or post here or on the original post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1336525.0

Discs should be delivered to India. Looking for rates around $0.19

Nice crab in your profile picture. Were you an EOD tech?

Best of luck on the floppy disk purchase, they are getting harder and harder to find. I had to purchase some a few months ago and the cheapest I could find was through: http://floppydisk.com/buy.htm

They might be able to work out a deal for a bulk discount if you call or email them.

Tom is my US supplier.

PS : Not many recognize this badge, infact you are the first to even notice it. No not an EOD guy but I do have this 'modified' badge which I received for something I did way back in high school.

There's definitely not many out there, we're a relatively small group. Sounds like an interesting story.  If you felt like PM'ing it I'm definitely curious  Grin

Anyway, I'll stop cluttering your thread, you obviously know much more about floppy disks than I do. Hopefully you find what you're looking for!

Those ballerina series are gorgeous. Are you able to source those Genrijst?

337  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2011 Casascius 25 BTC Coin / Graded MS-62 / Funded with 40BTC on: January 23, 2016, 09:21:35 AM
I'd love to get my hands on a redeemed one for 0.5 BTC.

As would I. I hate to see a Casascius get peeled but it might be a hard sell since it is funded so much higher than the face value. Even some 25BTC coins in great condition with provenance (the one by wheresmycoin comes to mind but I can't find the for sale thread) have had a tough time selling lately. I would definitely be patient as the market is rather slow at the moment.
338  Economy / Goods / Re: 12 Guage Ammunition Brand NEW on: January 23, 2016, 09:06:01 AM
I'm not trying to scam. This is just a first offer. We can negotiate better rates on ammunition. Just private message me.

I PM'd you asking why the price was so high four days ago and you never responded.

If you are a legitimate seller, are you willing to use escrow if a price can be agreed on?
339  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 500 BTC Casascius Bar potentially for sale on: January 23, 2016, 05:47:32 AM
So sorry for the loss of your friend, Mike. Hopefully the family is able to raise a significant amount of funds with this bar and I would love to help. I have sent an offer via PM.
