321  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: May 14, 2016, 09:09:41 PM
Double and safely do not mix Cheesy
There is no profit possible without risking and when you are talking about 100% profit, then you either need to risk more or take your time to achieve it
322  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: May 14, 2016, 08:52:58 PM
I want ask anyone if i give you 10 Btc what will you do. because i want investment but i have no any good idea to invest it (except gambling) but i don't like dambling. So i want ask you viewS.

Store it on a paper wallet... I have a gut feeling the price will rise in the following year(s), so there's no need to make risky investment in order to get a little bit of (possible) intrest.

I would use it in 10 different companies with good background history

I did not see any investment site that can be reliable or trustable. Most of them are just ponzi schemes so you better do not deposit any satoshi in this kind of site
323  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: May 14, 2016, 08:48:41 PM
I think they will be 2-5% . we are talking about 140 millions person at least and reaching this percentage will be a good progress for bitcoin
324  Economy / Digital goods / Re: need virtual cc with $2 in it on: May 13, 2016, 11:04:55 AM
you can create your own VCC using spectrocoin. it costs $0.5 and you can load it with bitcoin. but the minimum is $4 so it is slightly higher than your budget

Blockchain as Part of the Web: Does It Fit in?

Schools are now using Bitcoin technology to record and verify candidates' credentials; and to track the creation or transfer of physical assets, shareholdings, certifications, digital rights, intellectual property or even votes.

Some say it represents the second generation of the Internet. But what’s in it for the Web?

The World Wide Web Consortium W3C voluntarily convenes companies and communities to help structure productive discussions around existing and emerging technologies. It is seeking answers to several questions relating to what the Bitcoin blockchain or other public or private distributed ledgers portend for Web technologies beyond payments.

W3C states on its website:

Quote
“When we talk about blockchains as “part of the Web”, we face some specific questions: How does this fit into the same origin security model of the Web? What are the privacy implications, especially when talking about identity management? What part of the Web stack would be involved: client-side, server-side, protocols, interchange formats? What is the relationship to payments, including W3C's Web Payments work?”

326  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-13] Antonopoulos: There Are No Spam Transactions in Bitcoin on: May 13, 2016, 10:58:26 AM
I do not agree with him in this statement "If You Pay the Fee, the Transaction Is Not Spam" because in the last transactions attack, the spam txs were paying high fees to be in blocks and delay normal txs in their first confirmation.

328  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-11] CNBC: Obama needs to make a move on bitcoin now on: May 13, 2016, 07:01:49 AM
Obama has no time to do anything. it is just few days before he finishes his presidential period. so I do not expect any roles he might do regarding bitcoin.
In general, I have not seen any government like to involve in bitcoin
329  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-13] In brief: Satoshi Revealed, does it even matter? on: May 13, 2016, 06:59:11 AM
it does matter. people curiosity will always push them to look for satoshi and know him. it also matters because most of bitcoin holders are afraid from the first mined coins to be spent which can cause a big inflation

Tax Software Provider Avalara Embraces Bitcoin And Blockchain Technology

Avalara, a Seattle, Wash.-based provider of tax compliance automation for businesses that has already embraced bitcoin in its tax compliance engine, announced plans to explore blockchain technology during its conference in New Orleans Wednesday, according to Accounting Today.

Peter Horadan, executive vice president of engineering, compared blockchain to cell phones. He said it can be adapted to the work everyone does.

Horadan said Nasdaq has started to trade securities using blockchain technology. He said the blockchain can track asset ownership in a shared ledger, displaying whenever a company transfers money. The technology can also track transfers of real estate and other items.

this is the most brutal weapon for ISIS that they are famous for. to stop these attacks, Iraqi government must be more serious in the check points and use technology to search for bombs

333  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OXBTC.COM , legit ? on: May 12, 2016, 04:52:38 PM
Never trust a cloud mining site. most of them are just ponzi sites that will scam their customers some day. and in the real mining sites will not be able to get your ROI because the difficulty is very high
334  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-12] Bitcoin Foundation Receives $65,000 from Mystery Mining Pool on: May 12, 2016, 04:46:41 PM
Why give it to the foundation?
Why not send it back to the poor soul who sent those transaction fees?

AFAIK because they are not sure this person still have access to the address. so sending them without knowing that may destroy these coins forever
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do I Get 0.0023 to 0.01 BTC Per Day on: May 12, 2016, 04:43:39 PM
I do not think that faucets are good recommendation because they pay very low amount of satoshis. I do not see any point in telling you about signature campaigns while you are a newbie !
I recommend you to check the service board. you may find someone offering a job that does not require a skill like solving captchas
336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: More than 1,200 new planets that could hold life found on: May 11, 2016, 03:58:08 PM
Why the hell US spends a lot of money and effort on descovering the space ? I do not see any benefit from knowing that there may be planets like earth! It won't do anything for me
337  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid in Bitcoin for simple data entry (solving captchas). on: May 11, 2016, 03:10:54 PM
So at first you keep raising the minimum payout and now you cut the rates by half ?! Problems are increasing and no one would be happy with getting the half rates after all IP blocking one faces.

Bitcoin Core Dev: Gavin Andresen's GitHub Privileges Were A "Liability"

Gavin Andresen, chief scientist at the Bitcoin Core Foundation and former chief developer of the Bitcoin source code had his commit access revoked recently. The move, a collective one taken by Bitcoin Core developers, left Andresen without any administrator or commit privileges after publicly backing Craig Wright’s claim that he was Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s creator.

If it were left to Bitcoin Core dev Wladimir J. van der Laan and “many others” from the team, Gavin Andresen’s access would stay revoked.

339  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin halving is real? on: May 09, 2016, 11:01:16 AM
some people are acting as if they are sure 100% that the halving will make the price go up. but there is nothing guarantied with btc.
there are 9000 blocks remaining before the halving and price is still under $500
340  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-05-08] How Should We Abbreviate Bitcoin and Ether? on: May 09, 2016, 10:45:29 AM
I have never seen anyone using xbt since I knew bitcoin one year ago.
bitcoin is created to be a currency so I believe that BTC is the suitable abbreviation
