I understand your skepticism of this being a legit post since there is a similar one already out there.  Whatever verification you need let me know, I'm not making multiple accounts to scam people out of their money. I don't think anything I say will change your minds now that a claim like that has been made. However, to gain a positive reputation as a legit new member, I would like to sort this out so other members do not believe I am a scammer or spammer.

Thanks.

Dude, no one cares. Seriously. Write whatever the fuck you want. If it's funny, I'll laugh. If it makes me think, I'll think. If it's sad, I'll cry. If it's  bullshit, then I'll say it's bullshit.

So this is bullshit. And right now your posts are bullshit.

Now make me laugh. And I might think your bullshit is funny. Say something smart, and I might think your bullshit is smart. Say something really smart, and I may forget you were involved in bullshit.

The choice is yours, bro. Welcome to Bitcoin.

Donate with caution.

And just because I chose Eminem as my avatar makes you believe I am the same person who made that post?

Thanks

You're right... The fact that you also lost money gambling on Satoshi Dice has nothing to do with it.

We donated an entire thread to this BS already...

Aight so that title might have been a bit missleading, but I have some thoughts here.

I have NEvER ever gambled in my life earlier, well that was until I discovered bitcoins.. To me it seems as if bitcoins might be a kind of gateway to gambling addiction.

It started not long ago when I got my blockchain wallet. I was going to send some coins and all of a sudden I saw "SatoshiDice" under "Games" and though woot is this. So I pressed it and saw a cool interface with odds and so on. I had some coins so I bet 0.01 on different odds and experimented with it, but then forgot it. Some weeks later I saw a thread here on the forum about the martingale betting system, and got really hooked. I started martingaling on 48% odds and won minimal ammounts (0.01) but still I won and won and won. I didn't care about googling martingale or think any more about it, because I won you know? So I started betting 0.1 btc and that's when it escalated pretty quickly. Lost 10 btc in about 10 transactions.. I promised to myself that I would never do it again.

Next time I logged into my wallet I saw that stupid SatoshiDice again, but I felt the URGE to play again, I couldn't stop myself. I told my buddy to stop me but he just laughted it off. So I started with 0.01 again since I didn't even had a coin. I left the wallet with a small profit again.

So some days ago I sold some stuff on bitmit (http://bitly.com/VIrA2o) and had 10 coins again, ofcourse you can guess what happened next. Lost it all. However, now I've sold some stuff again and got about 20 btc and I really feel the urge to bet it all on 50% odds to weigh up for the total loss of 20btc I have right now. I don't know what to do to stop myself, I'm 17 years old and have never been gambling before and now all of a sudden it's a serious addiction for me.

Please help out guys? Do you know how to stop myself from gambling? I would switch wallet but I really love the blockchain wallet exept for the fact that gambling is only 2 clicks away. Also, what do you think about bitcoins opening up a world of gambling to young people that normally would not even think about gambling?

327  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If Alice gives BTC to Bob, how would Bob report it as income? on: March 14, 2013, 03:04:20 AM
I'm so confused.

Why is a Canadian reporting anything to the IRS?
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: March 13, 2013, 04:10:45 PM
That's okay, its free. I don't expect him to be right, no one can be expected of that. I use his analysis to provide a second perspective and to see if I've missed anything. Besides, I haven't seen anyone else posting anything...

ah well  Smiley
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Max Keiser - "Bitcoin Millionaire" - Heralds Satoshi's Bitcoin as "Cyber Christ" on: March 13, 2013, 01:32:39 PM
It halfway scares me that this guy has a million dollars in Bitcoin.  When Bitcoins are worth $50,000/ea, he'll be a billionaire.  A crazy guy can control a lot with a billion dollars...
If BTC forums are making threads about his media appearances, I'd say he controls alot already. Hard to trash him though when he's also an evangelist.

I'll pass on his 'CyberChrist' though. When he converts to CyberFSM, I'm on board.

BTC forums is making thread about his media appearance because it was funny and had to do with Bitcoin. Max Keiser has no control over BTC forums, otherwise.

So, one could say BTC Forums enjoys (or is controlled by) BTC... and humor. Wink
330  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rally is over on: March 13, 2013, 01:15:59 PM
...the community fell back to 0.7 chain immediately, this showed they can act professionally in a crisis and maybe that is why the price is stablizing now

Correct.

I'm obviously one who see's this as positive news, not negative. Something bad may have happened, but bad things happen all the time and there is nothing we can do about it. No realistic amount of testing would have caught this weakness. It's how the community handled this situation that proves how strong it is. Barely any press on it, and the exchange rate continues right where it left off.

However, we do seriously need to focus on the max block size issue now and ensure we create a flexible, scaleable, and balanced system. If we can get past this issue, then we're over the hump.

If not, then yeah. The rally is over.

I'm honestly not very fond of these technicals right now...

Lucif, what do you suspect in that brain of yours?

I'm hoping you're seeing the opposite lol

Lol! Max Keiser is hilarious! Watch his video interview http://maxkeiser.com/ "Bitcoin Millionare vs Paper Millionare".... skip forward to 7:47 "The clouds are opening up for Satoshi... cyber christ.... christ is back and he has got bitcoin" LMFAO!

Absolutely hilarious! I clipped that segment yesterday and put it in this thread:

336  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-03-11 Arstechnica: Major glitch in Bitcoin network sparks sell-off on: March 12, 2013, 03:43:18 PM
Press generally likes to get on board when dealing with a massive rise or fall in the exchange rate... which this event barely affected... Note the title of this article lol... Its almost as if they need that excuse to write about Bitcoin and have it be interesting to the public.

No effect on exchange rate? Blaahh who cares!? as if nothing happened... Cheesy

I agree, definitely a good thing!

Can we plan for something like this to happen again during the Bitcoin Conference?

We could watch all the devs in action while everyone freaks out, and all head to the bar and buy each other drinks afterward!

I LOBE YOU ALL. AND I LOBE BITCOIN.

340  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rally is over on: March 12, 2013, 05:53:03 AM
If anything, the price will go up.

This has been incredibly well handled.

Anyone remember the equities bot glitch that caused the Dow to plummet $1000 in one session?

Shit happens all the time everywhere. We're only human. It's how you react to problems that show how stable you are, not how few problems you have to begin with. It only took one iceberg to sink the unsinkable Titanic. Bitcoin is only going to be stronger and more prepared moving forward after this dust settles.

This whole thing has been very positive in my view.
