3221  Other / New forum software / Re: I think the function of the forum should be added on: July 27, 2021, 05:04:09 PM
Me not liking your proposal aside, dozens and dozens of good and bad feature recommendations have been made since the past few years and none have been added(as far as I know). And we don't even have the new forum software ready yet after a good number of years. Might as well get used to having the current forum unchanged for a while. Tongue
I know very very old threads about that, so let's check it out
3222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Scammer Impersonating Binance on Telegram on: July 27, 2021, 04:57:32 PM
Scam in the Telegram app has become very rampant. In just a few months since I joined the crypto business, I have been added to 5 different scam groups that offered to sell bitcoin at a ridiculously cheap price. The very first one I was added to got me suspicious, when I was added to more groups with similar M.O, I understood the game they were playing and exited.

Have you fixed it yet? If not, please go ahead and do it now as follows for your Telegram account
  • Settings > Privacy and Security > Groups & channels: Change it from Everybody to My contacts
  • You will not be added to any group by strangers or scammers.
3223  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Scammer Impersonating Binance on Telegram on: July 27, 2021, 01:08:50 PM
They really are constructing believable promos and giveaways just to make people from their scam. They're improving as if they're looking legitimate with those words but it's no different from the 'send this amount, I'll send back more'.
It's double scam.

Send 1 and get 2 back. It is clearly a scam if we have fresh mind and are not too greed. The minimum amount of each sending in that scam is 1 ETH. Honestly, it is a big fund and if anyone can trust it, do 1 ETH transaction just to get back more, they are very naively.

3224  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Manipulation in Binance Futures Trading on: July 27, 2021, 04:04:59 AM
The funniest and shadiest thing is
  • Your opened positions can be liquidated with market flash movements (ups or downs): You will lose most of your capital
  • You opened orders might not be filled in such flash movements. Most of us won't go with law suits against exchanges. As exchange customers, we are in disadvantaged side.
  • Lastly, don't join Margin or Future tradings, if you don't know what you are doing (my advice for newbies)
  • Allocate less than 10% of your capital for Margin or Future trading, 1% for each trial (to learn & end with loss)
3225  Other / Archival / Re: Newbie mistakes when trying to increase the deposit on: July 27, 2021, 03:59:14 AM
I think alot of the mistakes for most new traders is basically trading on Demo for months and making like a million dollars and thinking its easy and then depositing real money and seeing how difficult it can actually be.

Most don't realise but there is no emotions when you are trading with demo. So you can easily flip $100,000 positions back and forth and make money. However when you got your real $1000 on the line, it doesn't seem so easy.
This. Most common mistakes are
  • Trading with demo, win big with demo and have illusion that they are genius.
  • Trading with real money, but just start with small capital. Win big with small capital, and make big deposits. With bigger capital, and more time passes, the market reaches to correction time, they will lose their net-capital with liquidations.
  • Sum up: at beginning, people seem to be very carefully, but with time especially after some wins, they are more careless. It is a start of their loses

Quote
Hence why its best to trade small, even for pennies because those are actual money and you will trade more cautiously then and you will see that even trading for pennies is alot harder than trading demo.
The bigger the capital one person is handling, the more pressure and more mistakes can be made. With a same altcoin, the bigger capital you use, the harder to exit at expected price. Obviously, this statement is for tiny and small cap cryptocurrencies, not for Bitcoin or top altcoins.
3226  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Scammer Impersonating Binance on Telegram on: July 27, 2021, 03:40:20 AM
Impersonators can use some methods
  • Use fake name with some similar characters of real account
  • Hide username, but fake one into Bio area. If you are careless, you might think what you see in Bio area is username. It's not, in fact.

Some good topics to avoid scam, impersonators on Telegram.

Interesting point!

It is how influential people, corporations change their minds and strategies. Please give me this chance to bring the ban on the Internet back.

Source:

25 years and let's see how things have been totally changed. The Internet changes the world, changes our lifes.

Nowadays, massive FUD on current and potential bans on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. What will happen on Earth after next 25 years?
The growth of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is faster than the Internet, so you can imagine something positively?

The polygon AMA is to build the trust that we are working more as a token focus company.

In Europe, we have Enumis, CFS ZIPP and Paysafe which we use for B2B services.

We have also applied for our file to get regulated in Europe with a bank of Lithuania, from which Revolut is regulated. To move slowly all existing business from our partners to increase profit margin as all systems are working fine.

In USA Trust licence from Reserve Trust and corespondent JP Morgan.

With all above we are banking hundreds of crypto business. They use us and pay us as we are talking.

In India with United cooperative licence.

We are covered for licence from multiple sides we just need to make sure now:

1. We don’t do anything where we risk to create problem on already established B2B business.

2. Create projects for CAS adoption and awareness.

Unicas and Cashaa FI initiative is all about that. Separating them from existing B2B business and everything designed around CAS.

Please go through the last 3 official update Cashaa made to come as token focused company.

3229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Die testate with your Bitcoin. Death is inevitable on: July 26, 2021, 01:27:24 PM
  • If you have a wife/ husband, you should leave details of your accounts on exchanges, private keys/ mnemonic seeds of your wallets to your loved ones.
  • At least, you should write it down, and store it in a place that you believe your loved ones will find it when you unfortunately pass away.
  • I have experience with it. I came to crypto in 2017 and I invited my friend to the market. About one month before his death, he asked me "What will happen if I pass away? Will my wife can get access to it (on exchange)?" I told him to write it down and let his wife know that he has important thing in that notebook. This help his wife to get access to his account on Poloniex, of course with my help because she did not know anything about cryptocurrency.
  • Not your keys, not your coins [1]. It is best to use non-custodial wallets than exchange wallets
  • Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts

3230  Other / New forum software / Re: I think the function of the forum should be added on: July 26, 2021, 09:35:26 AM
It is impossible with the current SMF forum software. Basically, the forum is for text-based discussion, exchange of ideas & it is not a social media platform.

You can raise your request for the new forum software, Epochtalk.
3231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does Bitcoin scale under such high transaction fees? on: July 26, 2021, 09:20:36 AM
But you need to pay the high transaction fees when buying small items with Bitcoin.
To purchase small items with small value, you can consider Lightning Network as payment method. If merchants provide LN, you can use it.

For Bitcoin transactions, you can save transactions fees if you do it on weekends.
3232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with trading on: July 25, 2021, 04:20:08 PM
hello community members, am new in trading and run into problems recently with trading where i almost lost all my funds. i started trading with a single token i have made x2 profits within a week
How did you get x2 profits? From gamble and luck or is it from your careful investment or trading? If the answer is gambling and depending on luck, the ending is reasonable.

Even if you made your first successful trade from careful decisions, if you can not control your emotion, you will make wrong decisions after that.

Quote
when i decided to trade another coin which from my analysis the coin have great potential because of it price at that time and that was the beginning of my lost.
It's always like this. A great success is the beginning of a great failure. When you win big, you should stop and stay outside the market for a few weeks.

Quote
what went wrong and what strategy will you advice i adopt that will help me in my future trading that will give good profits and minimize lost.
your views are appreciated.
  • Win big, should stop
  • Win big in streak (a few continuous big wins), must stop
  • Lose big, should stop
  • Lose big in streak (a few continuous big loses), must stop
3233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine's roadmap of crypto adoption on: July 25, 2021, 03:24:16 PM
Right now, cryptos are in a gray area in Ukraine: lots of people use it, no taxes are paid, and the authorities are fine with it all, unless someone's doing something clearly illegal, such as mining cryptos and not paying the electricity bills.
I fail to understand it. Electricity bills have to be paid and I guess what you implied is Ukrainian crypto miners pay electricity bills with rates that lower than they should be charged. Is it what you meant?

We've had several draft laws before which attempted to regulate the crypto industry, but they all failed to gain enough support in the Parliament. However, I think this time is different because the Ministry of digital transformation is involved.
When cryptocurrency become bigger and go to mainstream, deeper in human civilization than now, it will be a time for all governments to adjust their policies, laws, etc. in order to accept cryptocurrency officially in their nations. They will do more regulations, and force the stricter taxation policies on crypto investors / traders.

I see it is a normal trend and people should not feel over panic with changes in governmental policies.
3234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unintentional plagiarism on: July 25, 2021, 03:04:38 PM
1. Intentional Plagiarism(Purposeful appropriation of others work)
2. Unintentional Plagiarism.
It is easy to find what plagiarism one member makes is. How?

  • Look at post history
  • If it is full of plagiarism, you can easily conclude that is a spammer, first and then plagiarism is made intentionally.
  • If it is good and show some good effects, it is a first step to somewhat believe a single plagiarism could be unintentionally
  • The forum gives members with good net-effects a chance to get a softer restriction on their accounts: signature ban, signature ban + account ban for a while, etc.

Quote
Plagiarism may be said to be unintentional if the plagarist misuses the appropriate method of citation(citing an unexisting or different url from the source).
Moderators will never ban such cases if members make typos, mistakes when quoting, editing or leaving sources.
3235  Other / Archival / Re: [FOR NEWBIES] How To Be a Quality Poster on: July 25, 2021, 11:33:25 AM
Being a high-quality writer is not the goal of the forum, but rather to learn and share knowledge, even if you are a one line poster.
Paying attention to the length and quality of posts is essential if you want to receive payments from signature campaigns, but as long as you don't spam and improve yourself, you won't be banned.
Length does not equal to quality. Many posters misunderstand it and they believe the more wordy posts are, the higher quality those posts have. It is totally wrong.

Quality comes from idea. If you have a quality idea/ opinion, it would result in a quality post.

Obviously, the ability to express your idea/opinion into good sentences is important. If you express your opinion badly, nobody can understand it and you fail to convince the others.

Wordy sentences mislead or distract the concentration of readers. If a writer can write a shorter sentence, to express the same opinion, it should be used rather than a wordy one.

3238  Other / Meta / Re: BAN APPEAL on: July 24, 2021, 11:46:20 AM
i don't know about the law of copy paste , this is the internet
Wherever you join, please read rules.

Quote
by the way , it is not because signature of 1xbit.com?
i think you have a problem with money and signature
It is not a cause. You will get banned immediately if your plagiarism is found and reported to moderators.

If you do plagiarism in order to get post quota, this behavior only wipe out your second chance to lift your ban. Because you don't bring any good net-effects on the forum. You make your posts, do plagiarism for financial beneficiaries.
3239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Twitter has full control of the Bitcoin market by banning Elon Musk on: July 24, 2021, 02:41:21 AM

Let me contribute with some topics

Scammers are stupid and use their methodology repeatedly but they still succeed because newbies mostly don't spend time to learn, do research. Even they see this topic or other reminders, they will skip/ forget it shortly.

Fortunately, a minority of newbies will do care about their safety and such reminder like this topic will help them.  Smiley
