I am excited for the return of the CL, it’s the absolute pinnacle of club football. The best players from tye best clubs compete for European football’s biggest prize. Who are your favourite the win the trophy guys?

The market usually does what we don’t expect so in all honesty I think we’re due a significant pump before the year closes. None of this is from TA, just some of my thoughts & feelings.

Merseyside Derby tomorrow, I’m excited to see this game, I wonder if Everton can really lay down a marker. If Everton can win then it might give them confidence to really think they can put in a proper title challenge.

They won’t sack Ole yet, all of the top teams have lost at least one game. He’ll get a chance to sort it out but if there’s no progress this season he might get sacked.

Choupo-Moting is one of football's biggest mysteries.
I really struggle to understand how a striker who can't score goals (or provide anything other than some physicality) ends up playing with Neymar, Mbappe and Lewandovski.

Fair play to the guy though, he'll end his career as a Ligue 1 and Bundesliga winner.

Haha, very well put, I think he works very hard & he’s happy to just sit on the bench & not be the number one striker at the club he’s at. But yeah, he really needs to start finding the net when he’s selected.

Official news from Crystal Palace, they managed to bring in former Liverpol right-back Nathaniel Clyne on a free transfer. It looks like Crystal Palace will not give him a long contract. Currently Crystal Palace is in 12th place in the EPL, I am not sure that Nathaniel Clyne can bring Crystal Palace into the top ten. But I think it will add to their strength to fight in a long season.

He used to be quite a good player, I think Brendan Rodgers was their manager at Liverpool then. I think he had a bad injury & that’s why he became out of favour at Liverpool. If he bas recovered from all the injuries he can 100% still do a good job for C Palace.

My predictions are done, I’m fed up of performing so badly, fingers crossed for a yellow cap this weekend hehe.
Either way I’m glad the PL is back this weekend, the internationals just don’t do it for me.

Barcelona are reportedly trying to make a bid with Pogba that Madrid no longer wants. However, this information contradicts with the financial condition of Barcelona, which is reported to have borrowed € 800 million to pay player salaries due to a lack of income due to COVID-19. It looks like Pogba has the right place if he really goes to Barcelona, because he is one of the players who often dives, and Pogba has learned to do that  since at Juventus.  Grin

Nothing will be happening until at least January because the transfer window is shut now. Pogba hasn’t really learned to do much in recent years, he’s been terrible. Maybe he could revive his club career if he moves but I dunno, is he the man to help restart a new era of dominance? I have my doubts.

I think we’ll see a pump after the election. There’s lots of uncertainty in a lot of things in the world atm, I think Trump will win & then we have a settled leader. I think we’ll reach yearly highs in December.
3230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2020, 09:49:38 PM
Juventus have players who have stopped. I think it's a lot not only Ronaldo who is the main player but without him it will definitely be stronger to face opponents in UEFA.

It's also true that Juventus and Barcelona will remain safe in the group stage, maybe only breaking down the group, but this doesn't matter Juventus will perform brilliantly later at UEFA, believing that there are 2 scapegoats who will be eliminated. Grin

One more is now positive with COVID, his name is McKennie and Ramsey is Injuried if another in the midfield will be sick/injured than problems will starts.

We are only in October with 7 more months of COVID (as we just saw it seems is weaker in summer) and hard times if a Vaccine will not come out soon.

I have a feeling most European countries will go into another full lockdown in the next few months. I hope I’m wrong but it just seems that more & more infections are happening every week.

They need to sell Pogba yeah & use the money to buy somebody younger who is hungry to succeed. Pogba is too lazy, they have Fernandes & Van De Beek so they have the start of a good midfield. Pogba is a passenger though, they can do better.

I agree with you 100% and been saying that on number of occasions, Pogba is acting like he is there just to be there. Fucking around, no motivation, just doing his "job" to get the pay and fuck it all. I knew it was a mistake to buy him back, if he had something in his heart for Man Utd he would not leave when he was younger, but stayed and fought to be in the starting eleven.

He gets paid a hell of a lot, I just think he SHOULD be one of the main players in that team, a leader. He isn’t though & it doesn’t look like he’ll ever be. A total waste of money imo.

As a Barca fan, I actually prefer for CR7 to be fit and healthy in time for our clash. He always brought out the best in Messi and this time he's meeting a much weakened Barcelona, but I personally think our team rises to the occassion when Messi is extra fired up, and for sure the presence of Ronaldo will do that:)

Messi vs Ronaldo, the mid 30’s geriatric version Wink
No, I’ve loved seeing their careers & they're still world class, it’ll be great to see them face off twice in the group stage.

The same was said in the early days of the internet & look how that ended up. Give it time, mainstream adoption can happen very quickly. We will get to the promised land 100%.
3235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 13, 2020, 08:52:45 PM
I agree that Man Utd is pretty much the same team by the time Ole Gunnar was hired.
However, this is not only his fault. The upper management is doing so many bad decisions and they do not allocate the budget correctly. What would be the reason to hire a player such as Cavani when the whole team is already broke? He is not going to help only if the team will be consisted of bonded players.

Well they got some good players in the time.

Van De Beek 40m
Bruno Fernandes 55m
Harry Maguire 87m
Aaron Wan-Bissaka 55m

He got some good expensive players. Wink

He’s got no excuses now really, he has to get a trophy this season & get top 4 in the PL otherwise I’m certain he will get sacked at the end of the season, maybe even before if they are out of the title race by Christmas.
3236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: October 13, 2020, 08:50:18 PM
Germany 3-3 Switzerland, wow that was something special wasn’t it. Germany are a really good team so that’s a really good result for the Swiss.

Ukraine 1-0 Spain in the same group which also shocks me.
3237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Small dip in BTC price after Trump stimulus tweet on: October 13, 2020, 06:02:45 PM
No more swing.
This gonna be a turn up point where the next achievement is $100k as we have waited for too long   since our last skyrocketing moment in 2017-2018.
Let's end the terrible 2020 with a $30k breakout and seeing 2021 as another year for bitcoin to hit all time high multiple times.
Cannot see any other rejection at $12k or $15k , this time shall pass.

I’m not sure the end of 2020 will be so strong that we’ll see $30,000 or similar but 2021 will be a big breakout year. I think we’ll see over $100,000 by the end of 2021.
3238  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC - What next? on: October 13, 2020, 04:28:34 PM
It seems to me that the second wave of COVID will not affect the economy as it was the first time, because then no one was waiting for it, and now everyone knows about it! So I wouldn't expect a strong price decline...

If nationwide lockdowns are again enforced I imagine the price would take a hit. It wouldn’t be as bad as in March but there would be some kind of dip surely.
3239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 13, 2020, 03:28:08 PM
I really cannot understand why it is the manager fault if the team is not playing well.
Personally, I do not like Solskjaer at all and indeed he must leave Man Utd but the team had the same results when Mourinho was on the team for example. It is not a manager's fail but a team fail. The whole team needs to be reconstructed from the beginning.

It’s easier to sack one manager than sell the whole team. The buck always stops with the manager, rightly or wrongly it’s just the way it is.

Saturday can't get here fast enough!

You can say that again, the international breaks are so dull. It’s all about the PL & CL for me, everything else bores the hell out of me. Need to do my predictions for the weekend Smiley
