I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

I know this has been probably asked a million times but I decided to go all in (investment money speaking) on bitcoin so I am looking for a safe wallet.
I have some stored in blockchain digital wallet but want to take it offline just in case. I did use electrum in the past and still considering it.
for the reason that bitcoin hardware is a offline wallet so it safe or safer than the other online wallet because it is offline theres no way they could access it it is invulnerable when it comes in hacking and youre the only one that could one access it in your hardware butthe thing is it can be broke. |

As for me, I have a big dream of having my own 10-hectare farm somewhere here in my locality and I want to stuff that area with all the fruits I can find here and with my main products which are cacao and coffee.
I guess I have this special connection with the soil and the land that is giving us the food and sustenance daily. And who knows maybe years from now I can be able to issue tokens out of that farm...something like AgriTokens or AgriCoins.

The forks are shaking the very foundation of BTC's attraction ... that is away from the whims and motive of a controlling cabal. One could have been dismissed, but now a 2nd one starts establishing a pattern.

I don't understand why the fees are getting so high right now? Smaller transactions get eaten alive.
obviously the bitcoin market value is again sky rocketing up to 4000$ which is a good thing and it is just normal to also increase the fee to balance since the rate also increase they will also increase the rate in the fee but there are just taking advantage of it. |

you can invest in bitcoin since the segwit is successful and its on its way to pump up to 4000$ i guess it is the best way to start and have a investment but you could also invest in other altcoins so that when it pump you will get a good profit. |

Even just a year ago bitcoin was useable... now the fees are about 10x what the banks charge. Seems like its changing from a peer-to-peer money system for everyone into yet another convenient way for rich people to exchange funds!
What went wrong> And more to the point, who is responsible? What can be done to fix it?

The fee does not seem to be a problem anymore. Believe me if you want, but recently I've seen small transactions being confirmed with almost zero fee. Everything indicates that the network was being spammed in past months. You also need to understand that it is not very wise to compare Bitcoin with banks. Visa is faster because it's centralized, but this will never be the best way to store value. I don't see fees as a hindrance for Bitcoin to be accessible for all form of people. It is quite a crypto-currency that provide people a time and a purpose on transaction. And Bitcoin being a part of the technology can brought a good intact progress for people if they are going to used it. It is not just limited for rich because technology development is aligned for the better and good of people as a whole. And for me the best thing to consider is this forum where all types and level of people can access it for them to earn and learn Bitcoin. |

As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
The market value of Bitcoin can crash at any time depending on what the investors want to happen. As for Bitcoin staying alive for such a long period of time, it is possible if the community wants to stay with Bitcoin for that long, and so far it looks like the community is going to keep supporting Bitcoin. The movement in terms of the price of Bitcoin is quite normal to happens having a system of stock and exchange. And we should always consider that the pump and dump that happens to Bitcoin is also a part of bitcoin development for it to have growth and progress on its price and stock through the market. |

I wouldn't call it a misuse of the currency. Even fiat can be used for such illicit activities(based on your jurisdiction) but Bitcoin is used widely for it because of the properties that it has. It is inevitable for some users to use it for such things. It is true that even in fiat people can do illegal things or under the law. So for me it is no the main reason why people prefer using Bitcoin. For me, Bitcoin is a form of crypto-currency which is quite aligned to the development of the technology. And when we say technology it also means innovation and progress in transaction. Bitcoin truly does give people a more faster way and reliable way of transaction in a daily basis or even in business. |
