LIf anyone is actually thinking that Liverpool might be able to get Mbappé in the team, I think they are just too naive. There is no way Mbappé is going to Liverpool.

As a lifelong Liverpool fan I can confirm. There is absolutely zero chance our cheap ass owners facilitate a deal for Mbappe. It is never going to happen.

He will either sign a new deal with PSG or go on a free transfer next season to Real Madrid.

PSG and Liverpool are said to be in talks for Mbappe to play the last year of his contract at Liverpool on loan. But I do not understand how they can interest him in such an option. Liverpool isn't even in the Champions League. As we saw with the rejected proposal from the Saudis, Mbappe is no longer simply lured with money.
3262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 30, 2023, 07:38:34 PM
Maybe for some, it's true that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling. Also, if they are still young they can have lots of gambling sessions and they may get lucky to earn more than 5 bitcoins later on. Me as a middle age person, I think I will bait on the offer because I rarely play gambling and if I do, I only play tiny amounts, so I don't think I can accumulate 5 Bitcoins in my lifetime.
~

5 bitcoins is 150 thousand dollars. If you convert them to fiat and keep them in a bank/bonds, then they will give about 5% per year. This is 7.5 thousand dollars a year. If you go to Vietnam/Philippines or another poor country, then this may be enough money to live without working. Probably many (who have already worked hahaha) would choose this option.

It is good to see something in this topic other than Barcelona and Xavi posts Wink
Inter was close to lift Champions League title if they face another team other than Manchester City. I don't know how far they could go this season since most teams improved a lot their squad comparing to them.

Even with City, they had chances in the final, but still, I think that last season the main reason for Inter's success was convenient opponents. If they met someone serious they would have been destroyed in the earlier stages. If you look at their result in Serie A, we will see a very unstable game and a huge number of defeats.
As for this season, the bookmakers consider them the favorites, but Napoli is just a little behind.

I believe that you raised a vital question here. With the competition that is now coming from the Saudi Professional League and also the investment fund involved, one risk of being too strict with clubs from European leagues could be that they in return threaten to support the foundation of a new Super League, for instance if it is originating from the Saudi Professional League or the investors backing everything that is flowing into the sport these days.
~

The way the situation looks now (financial problems "on their own" + pressure from the Saudis) probably leaves no other options for European clubs other than the creation of a Super League. If they do not soon create some kind of unified League with strict financial rules (budget, salary fund, etc.) that will be competitive and bring a lot of money, they will simply go bankrupt (Barcelona is the best example) or simply lose to the Saudis who create their own Super League.

Today's pre-season match
Last season's 3rd in  LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid continue their pre-season match against Pep Guardiola's team today, this being Atletico's third match since starting their pre-season tour and the previous two match end in defeat but Atletico completely dominated the match against Manchester City today. Pep Guardiola played his main squad include Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Bernardo Silva, and others

Match enters 90+ minutes with score (1-2)

It is interesting that Atletico won, although the probability of this event was estimated by bookmakers as 16% (and I find this assessment fair). What surprised me was this odds on BTTS 1.76 - I thought that in this pair the favorite should be the outcome of BTTS No, since both teams are good in defense. It's probably worth considering that this is a friendly game, I can't believe that Atlético has suddenly become so good.
3266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 30, 2023, 01:37:35 PM
You are all greatly exaggerating. Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Mendes, Hakimi are big players and many of them are young and have every opportunity to progress. There is also Veratti, Vitinho and some other close players. If Mbappe leaves, then obviously he will be replaced by someone, and even if it is an “average” player (of course, it is almost impossible to completely replace Mbappe), all together, with the right leadership, they will represent a serious force in Europe, it’s not even worth talking about Ligue 1 I see.
Did you hear about Marco Veratti rumor to close with one Saudi Pro League teams? he has reached verbal agreement and seems close for leaving PSG next season. I don't doubt with current PSG player composition right now like Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Neymar, Mendes, Hakim and Assensio but they don't have enough for guarantee PSG winning Champion League next season? Ligue 1 is not excited right now for PSG because they won many domestic league tittle and actually their fans huge expected for winning Champion League.

PSG have to show their capacity not only strong in domestic league but also have motivate for winning Champion League tittles, if not problem with many star player leaves, PSG have improve performance and lead to Champion League final for next season.

Even if you have two Mbappe, two Haaland, two Casemiro, two KDB in your team, the Champions League title will not be guaranteed - there is a high degree of randomness. The conversation was about something else. The fact that PSG is a team of one person and if Mbappe leaves then PSG will not be able to win Ligue 1. This is complete nonsense in my opinion and PSG will continue to dominate as before.
3267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 30, 2023, 01:32:08 PM
News from the Mirror and Twitter that Liverpool and PSG opened talks about Kylian Mbappe, it's about his loan status for 1 season after an offer from Al-Hilal rejected by Mbappe.

Is this a solution for PSG to earn money? There is no mention of how the total price will be installed if it is true that the loan status to Liverpool occurs, this seems to be still in the discussion stage and can happen or not.
It is already certain that Mbappe next season will be at Real Madrid on a free transfer.

I wonder who the initiator of these negotiations (if they really take place)? PSG's interest is understandable - they are trying to minimize the losses from the fact that Mbappe remains on their balance sheet. I don’t understand what Mbappe’s interest in this deal could be and I don’t understand what interesting things Liverpool can offer to interest Mbappe.
3268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦁 Fantasy Premier League ' Football Pool ⚽ Prize Fund (0.1 btc) on: July 29, 2023, 09:46:01 PM
If I remember correctly, the World Cup Fantasy Pool was held on another site? It would be nice if so - so that I do not remember the registration details and start everything from scratch.
Yes, the Fantasy World Championship was on another site (to be honest, Fantasy WC can't compare to this one).

If you spend a few hours digging into the details, I can bet this pool will be your favourite.

The FIFA World Cup fantasy was hosted on the FIFA official website, and I can confirm that it was the worst fantasy ever created, a whole mess with some ridiculous rules and plenty of loopholes in the first two weeks. The EPL fantasy is still gaoted.
~

I remember that I suffered with that site very much, so it was important for me that everything would be different here  Cheesy
So far, the only thing that scares me is the amount of time required for analysis. As far as I understand this game has a big skill component so I'm happy to spend this time.

Here I found a list of Top 10 Casino Slot Streamers which includes Corinna Kopf ,Tyler Faraz Niknamm, Flávio Fernandes and many others.

Do you guys follow the casino streamers and are they fun to watch? Or do you think that playing casino slots yourself is more fun?

While these streamers may earn a good amount of money through streaming, they sometimes may become inspirational to the gamblers which may lead the normal gamblers to gamble more or become addicted too in some cases.

Thoughts Huh

Corinna Kopf  Grin Slut streamer?  Roll Eyes
Judging by the fact that there are mostly media personalities in the top, it is clear to me personally that this is not about playing slots at all - they are watched not at all because of this. The casino buys ads from them (in the form of streaming) so they play slots. If any culinary firms paid them more, they would do cooking streams.
3270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 29, 2023, 09:12:19 PM
PSG are bluffing. No one in Europe would pay that amount for Mbappe (and he refused to go to Saudi Arabia), so such desires are nothing more than a bluff. They've made it clear they want to sell Mbappe because he won't renew his contract, but if they really want to do that, they have to lower the price by at least 100 million. It will be very funny if, due to their greed, they cannot sell him and will finally fall into a financial hole (according to FFP) if he works out the contract to the end.
250 million euro is a lot but 250 million euro transfer fee for Mbappe is not much. It would not be wrong to call Mbappe one of the best stars in the world today. Mbappe has improved his game considerably considering his age. Any club would want to sign him at his age. PSG set price for Mbappe I think this price is not high. And the price that has been set for this transfer is not Mbappe's Real Madrid team. Since PSG has set a transfer price for Mbappe, Mbappe's free agent membership may no longer be possible. If Mbappe cannot change the club as a free agent member, he can join Real Madrid this season if he wants to, because if he wants to change the club in the next season, he will have to pay the transfer fee and then change the team.

Firstly, you wrote incorrect information about the transfer of a player who is a free agent (do you know exactly how this happens?).
Secondly, 250 million is not the "full" cost of the player for the buyer and seller. If PSG don't sell Mbappe then they continue to pay him a huge salary + pay a loyalty bonus + greatly worsen their position in the FFP. Thus, for PSG, the presence of Mbappe in the team for another year means minus 100-150 million. It is obvious that any buyer understands the difficulties of PSG and want to benefit from this.
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 29, 2023, 09:05:58 PM
PSG is nothing without mbappe. it's just an ordinary club without superstars. Enrique will not be able to assemble a good squad caused by that.

Really, the fact is that Paris Saint Germain already dominated the French 1 League especially before Kylian Mbappe joined, PSG was still the favorite to win even though at that time there was no Mbappe. If you trace the history of the club, PSG has always had superstars in every era such as Pauleta, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after that there is Edinson Cavani, Neymar JR, and finally Kylian Mbappe. It will always breed new superstars for PSG because they have the money to tie up potential superstars, like you said. It's only a matter of time.
In fact, if Mbappe left PSG, I think PSG would not exist. There are no world class players in the team. So if PSG want to do well this season, there is no option to keep Mbappe in the team.

3272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 29, 2023, 05:16:08 PM
It seems to me that the issue is not the length of the rounds. He has enough physical strength to jump-run for an hour or two, I'm sure of this, the problem is that Fury will constantly hit him, including in the body, and this will greatly reduce both Ngannou's speed and his endurance. As for Ngannou's blows, they are unlikely to reach the goal, but one blow is enough, so there are chances.

Of course, it is a big issue because UFC fighters are not trained to be boxers where they have to survive 12 straight rounds per fight or even in their sparring rounds, they are taught differently because stamina is not that big of a deal in UFC but in boxing, it is.

I know that Francis Ngannou does have a chance, but those chances are only much greater in the early rounds where his stamina is still at full level but when it comes to middle and late rounds, it will be a challenge to him to stay focused as he just cannot catch up specially against an experienced boxer where they are trained to preserve their stamina even if they are being hit constantly.

Maybe you're right, but still it seems to me that both boxing and UFC are both closer to a marathon/middle distance than boxing = marathon and UFC = sprint/medium distance. The only question is how you are doing in the ring. If you are a boxer and your wrestler opponent is dragging you down the canvas then you will get tired already in the first round (UFC).  If you are both boxers but your opponent is constantly hitting you, then you will be tired long before the middle rounds (boxing). And I have no doubt that it is Fury who will constantly beat Ngannou from medium and long distances while remaining almost invulnerable.

I definitely wanted to make such a bet (Ngannou's victory by knockout in the first round) but now I understand that I will not succeed - too many people see this option as possible, which means the odds will be far from interesting.
I hope that if the knockout does happen, Ngannou will not “let go” of Fury and finish him off. Fury has good experience of continuing the fight from a disadvantageous situation (for example, he defeated Cunningham who knocked him down in the second round).

It seems most people think Francis has zero chance but that's why it's pointless putting money on Fury to win because the odds are shit and there's always the chance of an upset. I personally prefer high risk high reward and there's no excitement if you're not winning big. Personally I think Francis could knock anyone out on the planet and Tyson isn't going to be able to dodge everything Francis throws at him so its worth putting something on. If Francis can't get a KO though he'll almost certainly gas out.

Yes, I also hate small odds (like +10% at the risk of losing the entire bet). The bet on Ngannou here looks the only reasonable one.
You are right about Ngannou, but by the way, it is not known what shape the greedy belly is in, he often had problems with sports mode and I am not at all sure that he will be in good physical shape (especially when assuming that the fight will be easy).
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 29, 2023, 05:04:15 PM
I don't agree if you say Real Madrid were bad last season, because if Real Madrid were bad last season but why did Real Madrid still win the Copa del Rey. Also, the benchmark for Real Madrid success is not only about the Champions League and La Liga titles. Because anyway, as long as Real Madrid still has a good ability to compete in the upper zone in the La Liga standings and can also still compete further in the Champions League. Then of course, for me Real Madrid cannot be said to be bad at all. Also about Ancelotti, for me personally it seems that the Ancelotti era may have faded a little. Because if Ancelotti still has great abilities, then at least Ancelotti can still succeed when Ancelotti was Everton coach at that time. So yes, I am personally not surprised if at this moment maybe Ancelotti will experience a little obstacle to make Real Madrid have a better performance and also stable.

Real Madrid had a great season from a business standpoint as they only played one game less in the Champions League than theoretically possible. But from the fans' point of view, losing La Liga is a big blow, even though it didn't look like a triumph for Barcelona, but rather a consequence of Real's internal problems. At the moment, I see that Ancelotti has a chance to be at the top again, but it all depends on whether Real Madrid gets Mbappe (or Kane) now. If they get him, they will be on a par with City, if not, they will be underdogs (to what extent is another question).

Juventus will not be in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season. They were banned from this trophy due to Financial Fair Play rules. In addition, UEFA fined Juventus 20 million Euros. Due to this decision, Fiorentina will join the UEFA Conference League instead of Juventus. I think it must have been a shocking decision for Juventus. They already had a points deduction in the league last season. And that's why they finished the league in 7th place. Now they have been banned from the UEFA Europa Conference League. They are really going through an unfortunate process far from their former glory days. I hope they get over this bad process quickly and start the season well.

Grin Juventus will miss the Conference League - what a nightmare! Do you seriously think they were interested in it? I doubt that someone who even writes in the Conference League thread is able to name all the participants in the semi-finals of the 21-22 season. This tournament is not needed by any of the top clubs and Juventus has not lost anything by making a deal with UEFA.
3275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 29, 2023, 04:46:57 PM
Last season, PSG were not strong at all. They could not even take the first place in the group losing it to Benfica! Of the 3 stars only Mbappe was really useful (Neymar at the beginning of the season, but when it came time for the decisive games, he was already blown away). If you look at the “brand”, then they lost to the “great” Bavaria, but in fact we all saw that Bayern was frankly weak last season. In fact, a weak PSG lost to a weak Bavaria. It was the end of their cycle, now we will see what the new team will be capable of.

I think Messi also did ok in the Champions League as he had 8 scorer points consisting of 4 goals and 4 assists and Mbappe had 10 (7+3). But the offense hasn't really been a problem for PSG in the Champions League even when Neymar missed important games. PSG could never be consistent for 90 minutes and even worse than that it was almost guaranteed that they are making one big mistake at some point in the game and whenever that happened, they fell apart despite leading the game still. They need a compact team that knows how to defend a lead during the game and of course a two goal lead even when a mistake happens. Neymar is a player who starts complaining immediately as soon as the team concedes a goal and he never puts work into the defense, yet complains. These emotional collapses cost them the games often times.

In 180 minutes with Bayern, PSG scored zero goals (and we remember that Bayern were unusually weak), useful statistical actions in the group do not cancel the fact that PSG lost the group and fell below Benfica. As for the need to be able to defend the advantage in score, just when you have Neymar and Messi in the team, then you have no chance. Maybe the team can tolerate having one not very active player, but two is already too much (although at the top level even one is too much). An effective defense probably requires more strength than even an attack where you choose the direction and pace yourself, and in defense you try to block all zones and predict the opponent's actions. Therefore, the weaknesses of PSG were quite natural and were not the consequences of emotions or simply "unluck.

Yeah Ten Hag was called successful in its first season although not as a winner but in 3rd place is a good achievement, Pep Guardiola in his first season also finished in 3rd place then in season 2 they could win the title so surprises could happen in the 2nd season, who knows. Ten Hag still has plenty of time until 2025 to build a Manchester United squad if he continues to be consistent I believe their chances are closer to the title. For this season Manchester United still need a new striker figure because with the current squad their strength is still difficult to compete with Manchester City, we know Manchester City is a complete team so to compete it takes a complete team as well.

Sometimes it turns out that "tough" coaches who emphasize discipline and subordination achieve success in the first season, but in the second season the tension in the relationship already becomes unbearable and the team regresses. Let's see how Ten Hag manages to avoid this. As for the goals for the season, I will be happy if United will be in the top 4. There is no chance of moving the City.

The league is really hard and next season will be really intense but i still see Arsenal in top 3 and fighting for the title. Man City is the main favorite but i think that Arsenal will make it hard. Arteta is improving their team each season and in the preseason they are looking really good.

It would be nice if Arsenal took the title (and by the way, it would be very similar to Napoli's path, which was in the lead a year earlier but lost ground very much at the finish of the tournament), but City look like too strong a favorite. Now I can’t even guess who will be in the top three, although the picture is clearer about the top 4, I think it will be Arsenal, United, Liverpool and City. Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham will try, but someone has to fail anyway.
