3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Accidently send my USDC (USD Coin) to an Tether adress... Need help.. on: January 17, 2021, 02:28:38 PM
2 days ago I send my USDC from my CoinbasePro account to my Tether adress on my Bybit account with ERC20.

I wrote the Bybit support if they can assist in this case but since now there is no answer.

Is there any chance, how I can restore, send back.... the USDC?
Only Bybit can help you and you can only wait for their support feedback. When you use a custodial exchange, you don't have any private key or mnemonic seed of any cryptocurrency for your account. The exchange owns it, instead.

It takes 5 to 10 days and there are fee for the process too.

Bybit's FAQ

Quote
Q) I unintentionally deposited Omni USDT into my BTC wallet address, what should I do?
Even though they are on the same BTC blockchain, Omni USDT and BTC wallet addresses on Bybit are unique and different.

If you unintentionally deposited Omni USDT into your BTC wallet address, kindly go to the wallet that was used to make the deposit and attempt to obtain the transaction hash (TXID). Contact our live chat agent or email to support@bybit.com and provide us with the coin type, coin amount and TXID.

Q) After depositing an unsupported coin type, what is the asset recovery process?
1) Contact our live chat agent or email to support@bybit.com and provide us with the coin type, coin amount and TXID.
2) The Bybit team will attempt an asset recovery on a "best effort basis"
3) If the asset recovery is possible, we will either offer to return the same coin type to the source wallet address OR credit the equivalent in USDT into your Bybit account. Both scenarios will incur a one-time handling fee of USDT 20
4) The entire process may take 5 to 10 business days to complete and all communications will be sent via the account's registered email address

Q) What is the minimum deposit amount that can be recovered and what are the fees involved?
There is a one-time handling fee of USDT 20 for every successful asset recovery based on the corresponding transaction hash (TXID).

Therefore, If your wrong deposit amount is less than USDT 20 in value, Bybit will not proceed to perform an asset recovery.
3322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance 70%? on: January 17, 2021, 04:54:23 AM
The dominnance of bitcoin is lower than it actually is and should be. With many new DeFi projects were born in 2020 and 2021, with huge total supplies and current circulating supplies, they contribute a huge total marketcap that pull the bitcoin dominance back.

Total marketcap from DeFi projects are higher than what they should be too as price of DeFi tokens are valued higher than their intrinsic value. Their price will be pulled back, corrected to very lower price. Even bitcoin won't rise more than $42,000, its dominance will also have chance to rise higher. If DeFi tokens all fall down a lot in next months.
3323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins are not actual fiat on: January 17, 2021, 04:15:10 AM
Stable coins are ways to digitalize fiat currencies but people must believe in stable coin companies' protocols that their stable coin amount is backed by the same amount of fiat currency. It is unknown for many reasons.

Those companies can mint more stable coins than the amount of fiat currencies they store in secured vaults, in banks, etc.

The common things they are centralized and you must trust them and take risks when they break their protocols. There are not many stable coins are decentralized. DAI from Maker is a good decentralized stable coin as I know.

3325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 16, 2021, 12:39:44 PM
I am really disappointed too, I thought they will do something and score at least one goal so it can end with a draw in the worst case but the final result was catastrophic..
In the other hand, Lazio made a big favor for the other teams especially Juve to jump in front of Roma easily without counting the lacking games for Juve, Atalanta and Napoli.
The win is a big motivation for Lazio and they might jump higher on the table after next matches. I did not think Lazio can beat Roma and never think of that result (3 - 0 for Lazio). It is a big surprising win for Lazio.

In the derby, Roma's defenders did their jobs very bad. Lazio scored 2 goals from serious personal mistakes of Roma's defenders.

And Luis Alberto is one of the most underrated players in Serie A, I don't know how is possible for him to still be in Lazio.

He deserves a TOP Tier team in Italy or in Europe, masterclass player.
I agree with you and in the past 5 seasons, Spanish midfielders are showing well in Serie A. Some of they are key players in their clubs and they even not best midfielders from Spain.

I never thought it would be like this. It was an easy game. in the past, the level of these 2 teams was much closer together. They may have had an off day today.
It was a nice walk in the park, but I think in Italy its a cold walk in the park.
It is a derby match and everything can happen. If you are a fan of Serie A for long, you would know that match when Roma destroyed Lazio 5 - 0 with 4 goals from Montella. In that match, Lazio had Nesta in the squad and he had very bad performance in that derby.

It has been pending for over 24 hrs. How to accelerate the etherscan transaction?
How much gas price did you use for your ERC20 transaction? In last 2 or 3 days, the fee is cheaper than previous days. Today, gas price for average transaction is 42 Gwei.

If you need to cancel or replace your transaction, please read Ratimov's guides.

3327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why We Need Decentralized Blockchain Social Media Platforms on: January 16, 2021, 11:43:47 AM
It is wrong at reasons to create social media. If you are serious with your privacy or anonymity, you should not create any account on any social media platforms: centralized like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any decentralized ones in the future.

Participate such platforms and make status, tweets, upload selffies or disclose your IP addresses are always bad.

Privacy or anonymity maniacs can hide their identities but for the majority, they don't care about it and it is only crowd effects when they shout loudly and ask for decentralized platforms. It is very similar to cryptocurrency, they claim they need something decentralized but most of them spend most or all capital for centralized altcoins, not bitcoin.

So to answer your first question more precisely :
"As stated in your ToC "In case of the transactions made by users are considered suspicious, NakitCoins shall be entitled to refund the funds transferred by the users."
Nakitcoins don't charge deposit fee. Do I get it correct?

In the situation when Nakitcoins has to proceed refund to users, in above situation, I guess the refunded amount will be deducted with withdrawal fee and transaction fee, right? I think it is fair enough for users.

Quote
Our Online exchange has no restrictions, all Transactions are welcome (Coinjoin, mixed coins,etc..)
It is good and can attract users as I know many platforms have restrictions on such transactions. Some crypto gambling sites have their tools to detect CoinJoin, mixed coins and want to protect their platforms won't be compromised as a destination for money laundering.

Your open approach is good as not all people who use CoinJoin, Mixed coins are fraudulent or criminal guys.

3330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question on bitcoin and alt season on: January 15, 2021, 03:40:26 AM
It can only be seen on alt/usd pairs. And that only happened because bitcoin's price increased a lot in the past few weeks. If you compare it to alt/btc pairs, their price is very low compared to its previous months.
What I can call an alt season is alt/btc pairs shooting up. The ultimate goal in trading alts is to accumulate and increase bitcoin portfolio. But I guess this depends on what you've used on buying that alt, if you use stablecoins like usdt then your profit should be usdt too. Same with btc, if you buy an alt worth 0.05btc, it should return greater amount of bitcoin not the equivalent fiat value when you bought it.
You are right. Altcoins are increasing so much in USDT pairs as bitcoin increases in USDT that lifts the price of altcoins in USDT when their price in BTC are almost unchanged.

Fortunately, altcoin season will come and when it comes, altcoins will rise in two pairs. In that season, altcoin performance will bigger than bitcoin. Bitcoin increases in USDT but altcoins increase in 2 pairs. Double increases and bigger profits. It is a period of the market that I will hold my altcoins very tight. I don't shake my hands and take profit with my altcoins if I don't have x2 profit.

3331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Binance Withdrawals with Fastest Confirmation and Lowest Fee $$$$$ on: January 15, 2021, 03:29:25 AM
Altcoin networks have lower hashrates than bitcoin network. This fact causes a higher risk of double-spend attacks as Ethereum Classic network has a few times in 2019.
Ethereum Classic Attacker Successfully Double-Spends $1.68M in Second Attack: Report

Altcoins have other bad things, higher volatility in their price with serious pumps and dumps. You need to accept risk that after you make withdrawal, when you wait for a while and receive your coin, the price of that coin can be dropped 20% or higher. Terribly.

Last but not least, you should not choose one coin as a withdrawal means if you don't have interest to invest in that one or at least don't want to trade that coin.
3332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The higher BTC goes, the bigger the risk/reward ratio and the less buyers enter on: January 14, 2021, 12:25:46 PM
The root reason to invest is profit that is taken as percent of gains from original capital.

It does not make sense to say it is not profitable or feasible to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin has many incremental units and when you invest, you don't have to mandatarily invest in Bitcoin. You can invest 0.1 Bitcoin, 0.01 bitcoin.

The magic for investment in bitcoin is in long run, you will have very less risk than altcoin investment. I believe that bitcoin will increase in price after each 4 year but altcoins can die after 4 years. With altcoins, you will even not have opportunity to get your capital back. In worst altcoins, worst market, you will lose all.

3334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25% of crypto users not securing assets as well as they think on: January 14, 2021, 04:02:56 AM
To secure their crypto asssets safely they need to do two security activities:
- Secure their devices: Stay as much healthy web-surfing as possible
- Secure their accounts or wallets (passwords, 2FA backups, private keys or mnemonic seed backups)
Failures in either one of them or both can result in losses.

3335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Gold - What is better for long term investors? on: January 14, 2021, 03:01:55 AM
Bitcoin and Gold are both assets for storage. They are both volatile but bitcoin has more volatility and it has more waves than gold. If you are traders or speculators, bitcoin is the way to go. But yeah, in this topic, you ask about investors, it will different a little bit.

- Bitcoin is on its way to go the the Moon. It is heating up after the halving in the last year and this year will be a witness year for another Moon ride of bitcoin. You can invest in bitcoin if you are brave enough to ignore all drama, FUDs on the road.
- Gold is another good asset for you to invest. With gold, you will have less pressure from FUDs and you might feel safer with its lower price than bitcoin.
3336  Economy / Exchanges / Re: reliable exchanges ?.... on: January 13, 2021, 05:18:24 AM
Don't trust on trust pilot as reviews on the site can be cheated or attacked by scammers who broke rules, ToS on exchanges or marketplace and were banned.

I don't know good exchanges for your nation but if you find any exchange, you can use 2 sites to check exchanges reputation
- Exchange score: https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/
- Trust score: https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges
I think scores from those sites are better than trust pilot.
3337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you have, which coin you do not have? on: January 13, 2021, 04:19:50 AM
For Ethereum Classic, Bitcoin Cash, and Horizen, I must say no.  I never hold them because those altcoins are not worth it to hold for me.
Altcoins are risky to hold, if you are in bear market. After bear market goes away, bitcoin will be the strongest survivor and rallies the most. Altcoins mostly lose their price and have worse rallies compare to bitcoin. You can see Ethereum that roughly touched their 2018 all time high but if you hold it in 3 years, you lost in total BTC you used to buy ETH in early 2018. You have an equalizer in USDT but a serious loss in BTC.

Horizen is one of privacy coins and with current drama and changes in policies on privacy coins, I would stay away from Horizen.
3338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry guys.. Bitcoin is not for our day-to-day transactions. on: January 13, 2021, 04:15:56 AM
you are wrong.
the only reason why bitcoin value keeps going up is because so far bitcoin adoption has been small and until we reach mass adoption it will continue to rise exactly like this.
but when the mass adoption is reached the value becomes a lot more stable than today so it won't be like waking up tomorrow seeing price has gone up 50%.
the only thing that will rise in the future is the price and that is only because the fiat is constantly tanking otherwise the value will remain the same.
People might think that with mass adoption, there will be more liquidity, higher volume on exchanges when more people actively join bitcoin tradings. It can be true but it does not mean that total circulating supply of bitcoin will be redistributed from the rich to the poor. The rich (bitcoin billionaires) will always hold the dominated amount of bitcoin, the poor can be the most active elements in the market and contribute most to volume but they will be still the poor.

With future and leverage trades, more adoption for such together with bigger adoption for bitcoin, volume and liquidity will increase.
3339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nocoiners desperately trying to say this is the end for Bitcoin on: January 12, 2021, 03:37:42 AM
People said or are saying bitcoin is dead or it is the end for bitcoin have a common thing: They have never touched a single bitcoin. They regretted that they have never invested in bitcoin and whenever bitcoin begins its parabola, they angrily said those words. It is the easiest way to express their disappointments.

Bitcoin only starts  its parabola after the 2020 May halving, the adventure is at the beginning and won't be stopped too soon. Many reputed speculators have models that estimate the price of bitcoin with this parabola can top up at $300,000.
3340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What drives alt season? on: January 12, 2021, 02:58:39 AM
Altcoin seasons are driven by speculation and hype, nothing more, when you see the price of bitcoin going up for the most part there is a fundamental reason for it to happen, in 2017 it was because the segwit update was finally implemented despite the opposition of the miners, and the current rally is being impulsed by institutional investors coming to the market because they are losing trust in fiat currencies, but altcoin seasons happen just because of speculation and they can happen while there is a bitcoin bull run but they can also begin on their own when a new way to get money or a supposedly new technology emerges.
Please allow me to repeat with small edit "Altcoin or bitcoin seasons "are driven by speculation and hype", more correct to generalize it as that. People in the market have different types: investors, speculators, traders and they all want to get more money back from their initial capital.

Ridiculously, the market don't mind who are in the market and what they want to do in or earn from a market. It only operates with its own rule (that can be manipulated) and redistribute the wealth (the capital) from the most to the least members. It is true for any financial market (stocks, real estates, gold, crypto market).

There is capital flow in the crypto market and it switches periodically from bitcoin to altcoins and altcoins will have their seasons. In middle of 2019, there was a season for DeFi tokens (they are altcoins but are new altcoins). I am waiting for another season for old altcoins in 2021.
