Might of been a leech on your network who is no longer there, or someone war driving, who is also not there
It's possible. I really don't know a lot about this stuff so I have my work cut out for me. Should be fun tho. Especially when I can figure out how to boot this prick. Question: If someone was leeching, what could they do to prohibit me from pinging or tracing them?

Take two of these Ubuntu's and a drop of Linux and call me in the morning.....
That was helpful.

So, I've been trying to learn a bit about hacking simply because I want to know the plethora of methods used so I can better understand security vulnerabilities.
I opened cmd.exe and typed command "net view" and I'm seeing a PC that I don't recognize.
For whatever reason, it won't let me use commands "ping" or "tracert" to try to isolate the IP address. I get the messages "Ping request could not find host server. Please check the name and try again" and "Unable to resolve target system name xxxxxxxx" where 'xxxxxxxx' is the computer's name.
What gives? I can ping all the others.

Yep, I can confirm that there is a delay between the time of placing a given bid/ask and the time that it is fulfilled.
It was confusing the first time to see my bid of $5.50 and an ask of $5.50 sit there side-by-side for a good 20 seconds.
It was also confusing the 2nd time, and the 3rd.
Nonetheless, Cryptoxchange has definitely impressed me so far. I'm sure they will take care of this.
Hi, Theres a huge update going in for the speed of the processing engine, there are literally so many checks it does etc. However, our guys have this sorted and it will be live within 24 hours so what you see now will be instant. It does actually do the trade, the lag is from the UI what you see. But all is fixed just about to be updated Regards Crypto X Change Awesome Keep up the good work.

I'm glad you are all leaving, this means I get to make more. @bitscalper, please do not post here anymore, they are detracting and generally abusing you. I periodically watch your latest posts, and I can tell this is draining you emotionally. this forum is the embodiment of all that is wrong with bitcoin. And so is Bitscalper and EVERY SINGLE BITCOIN EXCHANGE. do you have brain damage? If that IS indeed what you truly think AND feel, so much so you felt it was neccesary to CAPITOLIZE it. You must have forgotten what you have written in YOUR SIGNATURE. So just in case you forgot: " Tradehill Referral Code: TH-R18813 Receive 10% off trade commissions for life!" That is your referral code, in your signature. It seems to me, you might benefit from leaving this forum and only looking at it once or twice a month. Cuz what you just did was a perfectly schizo example of what I meant, and I'm sorry you had to be the proof. No brain damage. Little carbon monoxide in the blood is all. Yes, I also trade on exchanges. I do that to make money in fiat. Referrals indirectly provide a means of doing that. I imagine the same is true for you and BitScalper. I want Bitcoin to grow for ideological purposes, but the desire to see Bitcoin succeed with respect to its ideological intent is far less important to me than its speculative potential. I have no problem being a part of the 'problem.' Go find some early adopters that have already cashed out and ask them if they care about Bitcoin's growth. Ideologically, I'm also a pacifist, but being a pacifist can get you killed. BTW thank you for spamming my referral link

There is no legal issue that wasn't handled. I deleted Vual's original attempt to buy violence (in his auction thread) immediately. I didn't know about the one mentioned in the OP until this thread. I deleted it shortly after my first reply in this topic. Your comment that "premium" is subjective (while true) mitigates virtually all of your other arguments justifying the ban.
Why? Why? Because of the fact that premium being "subjective" gives immediate validity to any comment made by Matthew or Bittenbob regarding the quality of the domains (not an age comment), and said comments are in direct reference to the topic of the thread. If you're going to give Vual the benefit of the doubt that his opinion is subjective and that he has a "right" (again, opinion) to be angry, then you need to give Bittenbob the benefit of the doubt that it was merely your own personal opinion that he was being disruptive and perhaps he felt he wasn't.

I really don't care about this situation, except for one thing:
Theymos, I sincerely hope that when you said that Vual had a "right" to be angry that you didn't actually make a decision based upon your own ethical code (as opposed to a legal code or and established forum code-of-conduct). Poor choice of language?
May seem like small potatoes...but my 2 cents.
Other than that, carry on.
Theymos, after reading a little bit more about what you said, I have another outside comment. Your comment that "premium" is subjective (while true) mitigates virtually all of your other arguments justifying the ban. To say BittenBob was being "Disruptive," that "no one would possibly accept your offer," and that his claims to be on-topic are "clearly false" (I actually think it was 'clearly true' that he was on topic) -- these are all opinionated. It seems to me that the ultimate reason that these bans occurred is that you (Theymos) simply didn't like them. You formed your own opinions about the comments (as did anyone else reading the thread), but as the site Admin, you exercised your authority to act based upon those opinions. In contrast, Vual's comments definitely qualify as a legal matter and should have been the primary issue. Edit: Aren't you also currently doing the same thing you accused Bittenbob of doing -- opposing the "spirit" of the topic?

Hop to it.
You don't want to know what I'm thinking! Hahaha yep, that's the Bitcoin Mag guy.

A woman? In a Bitcoin competition? What is this, the mall?
Great, now for team discussions we get to hear "I feel" language all day long.
We'll explain Bitcoin to you after you share Victoria's Secret.
You're right! It's either a woman or Bruce Wagner. Your call! Oh man This could keep me up all night.

The wall at 6.05 is there from the 10,000+ buy at around 5.95. The price didn't go up as he'd hoped and right now it's a little too late to sell unless he wants to take a $5,000 hit.
