3341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin System Vulnerable ? on: October 13, 2016, 07:03:06 PM
This question is arising in my mind after i did some research.
What will happen if someone brute Force Private keys in Base58 Format ?
Brute Forcing Base58 ? What is the probability of that happening as a successful attack ? There goes a failed one, followed by many https://github.com/Marclass/BritExploit/blob/master/src/bruteForcer/BruteForce.java

This dude has put it in brief, most simple and to the point information I found so far

http://blog.richardkiss.com/?p=371

And he succeeds then I think he will get admin access to all the wallets and can ruin the Bitcoin.
I know it's very hard to go through the database but It's not impossible either.
That is absurd. There is literally no specific database as such.Bitcoin wouldn't be as successful if they put it all in a static database.
3342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project Zion - Scam Warning on: October 08, 2016, 07:26:56 AM
haha figured it out from the day this thread was posted! In 2016,if you fall for shit like this, you need to quite the crypto scene.I wonder what possible reasons the project had to even consider it as a "project" ?
3343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Other forum site that earn bitcoin? on: October 08, 2016, 06:39:41 AM
can you message me link of that forums because never heard about any forum other than bitcointalk to earn some Bitcoins
But I love this forum BCT is best
Slowly the signature campaign culture is moving to other forums.Like recently, saw a signature campaign being initiated at allcryptotalks.com [not sure of the url but some similar forum coded by Sparkedev].At the end of the day,the highest bitcoin traffic is bitcointalk itself,an idea place for signature campaigns.
3344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: reg required V.S. no reg game on: October 08, 2016, 06:18:56 AM
I like registered accounts more than no registration because it charges no fee everytime you make a bet and saves a ton for long time gamblers. I have to agree with the user above if you're planning to put back registration you should make them automated like what bitcoinvideocasino and bitdice does.
Who said registered accounts come with free service fees ? lol That does not make any sense!Making the registration process automated is only convenient in the cases when you're back-end code is strong enough to manage the data using No-Sql databases. From a programmer's point of view, making stuff registered makes a lot easier at the back end.

3345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC has too few coins to function as a global currency. on: October 08, 2016, 06:10:14 AM
I know first argument will it is divisible to a million trillion satoshi.
(but what is the fee to send 1 satoshi ?  Wink )

More like why would you even consider doing a garbage transaction ?You will end up paying more fees than the actual transaction if you want your transaction to get confirmed, ever.

This debate has been around for ages.  I was wondering if there is a lists of essays/blogs/threads that eloquently sum up the situation?
Not currently...I remember reading a similar discussion here https://www.quora.com/Why-is-Bitcoins-cap-set-at-circa-21-million-coins-and-not-more-or-less
3346  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I buy bitcoins without showing ID? on: October 08, 2016, 05:58:38 AM
its a good choice to make transaction with member of this forum and better to find seller with good reputations
With high possibilities of buying and selling accounts, even the trusted ones are not to be trusted blindly. That is the last thing I'd recommend to anyone, trading with forum members for an currency exchange.

@OP I don't get it,why you're not comfortable buying bitcoins by showing an ID proof ? Btw the best alternative is Localbitcoins.com,hassle free.
3347  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Long term options on: October 08, 2016, 05:48:14 AM
Does anybody know where can I trade long term options?
For a decent volume.
Certainly not on one of the exchanges.Since in LEAPS we consider the options in preceding months,it is quite not secure to rely on a third party service.Definitely not leaving your coins in there, bitfinix stuff goes on quite happen in the Bitcoin World.
3348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: we should talk something useful, here on: October 08, 2016, 05:42:08 AM
what I want to talk is how to make the gamble fair enough.
Implement any of the 100 algorithms available to just make it "fair".But primary concern should be making your algos/games "Provably Fair" which are verifiable  by the client side.Do read this blog post ,provable fair nicely explained :-

https://dicesites.com/provably-fair

as far as I know there a lots of dice site , and they can be proveble fair.

and any other examples of new type of games ( gambles)?
You can make anything provable fair if you want to.Sad part is,not many are interested in fancy games apart from the regular casino types.
3349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: reg required V.S. no reg game on: October 08, 2016, 05:32:51 AM
I'd choose non-registered game over the one which takes few seconds of my precious time to fill the personal details. As you pointed out both have perks of their own.

If you can manage unique url's securely with cookies to store data, there won't be much at the back-end to process (SQL).At the same time, user won't be able to access the website from a different machine without knowing the unique URL.Be ready to get "Forgot my unique url" support requests.
3350  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] GoPro HERO 4 Black Edition on: October 08, 2016, 01:21:15 AM
How do we know it is not stolen?
Yes,you will never know if it's stolen.Use your gut, maybe ? Op sounds genuine to me..

@OP : The camera comes with a year warranty right ? Have you tried visiting a service center ? That would give you an exact amount/idea on the repair cost and maybe they will fix it for free if at all it comes with the hardware warranty.Let me search if I've GoPro service centers around,I shall let you know.
3351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when BTC is overrun by a centralized mindset? on: October 08, 2016, 01:12:49 AM
So what do you do when Bitcoin is overrun by a centralized mindset?
Simply give up and follow one of the other 100 Altcoins which would be run by the decentralized mindset again?

After putting a few feelers out there it is obvious what you will do.
You will follow the status quo and do nothing to flush out the sickness.
You don't say that,in 2016!You know, the world is full of opportunists!

Sometimes when you are infected you must find an antibiotic.
One with superior conductivity.
Have you found it yet?
Not one but many "antibiotic cures" Monero/Lisk/Waves to mention a few.

Find the volume because it is out there in the charts.
Find the hedge to survive or risk going down with a sinking ship.
The charts are rapidly moving towards success, which ones are you following lately ? They don't seem to be up-to-date!
3352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC206 betting thread: Daniel Cormier vs Anthony Johnson on: October 08, 2016, 01:06:23 AM
Huge fight this one. Daniel Cormier already won Anthony Johnson in a past UFC event, but this time Anthony Johnson is much better, experienced, and he has his brutal punching power.

DC is one of the biggest talents in MMA tho, so I think I will go with a second win.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgNt6CDZpAk

We can think about bets until December 10th

Too far fetched to be honest.I mean there are still months to jump to any conclusions at the moment! DC is coming off with flying colors since his fights earlier this year!No doubt Anthony is showing the best games UFC has ever seen! The only thing that could keep Anthony off winning the fight is defence..He is a great puncher..not the only key when you go against DC!In fact,DC's one the favourite moves is defence!I'd go with him anyday!
3353  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➤ Gamblor.bid beta launch ★ Bet on sports and politics with no logins required ★ on: October 08, 2016, 12:58:17 AM
Nice concept. So basically you can bet on anything listed, possible to create your own listings?
0.0006 is the service fee paid by every better, with house edge as 0%,you are making 0.0012 per bet ? Great margins!
However, the process seems quite complicated..creating multi-sig addresses and stuff
3354  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: October 08, 2016, 12:50:24 AM
when all miner stoping his mining hardware due not profitable anymore because the POW is ended, and no people interesting to stake it..  Undecided
1.Why would miners stop mining ?
2.People are waiting in a long que to take their places if given an opportunity!
3.The difficulty will increase eventually but there will always a group of miners who would still manage to taste the cherry on the cake!
4.Argument is invalid, bitcoins live forever!  Smiley
3355  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info on: October 08, 2016, 12:47:14 AM
Has anyone experienced any anomalies in Blockchain.info with their Account Balances with in the last 24 hours?

There is a Suspicious Transaction that states the Value was $3.00 at time it was sent and it shows in the history as
5 BTC Sent.
No.You sure you logged in from blockchain.info and not one of the new phsihing sites which are advertized by google ?

This image was uploaded by blockchain.info in their facebook...

Could you link to any of the transactions happened during that period of time ?
3356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signing the message on: October 08, 2016, 12:42:12 AM
Everyone keeps saying that the new blockchain wallet doesn't have the signing feature.
In fact it DOES have it. It's right in there.
Yup!The new wallet did a signing feature until the most recent update. If you have been automatically pushed to the newest version you could see the options tab disappeared hence restricting the signing messages functionality.

Go to settings>>address>>manage addresses>>

and then next to the address which you want to a sign a message from press More options

Then sign message.
Next to the address, the "More Options" tab just doesn't exists hence if you are been notified of updating to the latest wallet ,refrain from doing it unless you are not keen on signing messages.
3357  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BussyBuddy.com on: October 08, 2016, 12:36:41 AM
Wait,do you have anything to do with bitcoins ? I don't think so since your website clearly mentions you accept/send payment through paypal only!

I like the concept but very similar to bitsfortips.com,in fact those guys are much cheaper and open to everyone who signs up unlike your harward scholar criteria!

3358  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitPaymarket.com - Solutions For Your Needs on: October 08, 2016, 12:30:37 AM
Couple of questions to throw after checking out the site for 2 minutes
-Does the free shipping include international deliveries too ?
 -Why only electronics ?
-I couldn't find a trace of bitcoin payment or something similar on the site. How does it work ?
-Do you have a automated escrow ?
-From what I believe, you sell the products for bitcoins and doing that without an escrow seems shady as hell.
3359  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan needed urgently on: October 08, 2016, 12:25:48 AM
Let me tell you one thing
Actually I don't know how yo sign a msg I just made a block chain wallet and ad my btc address in my profile and left it in stake address thread too so if you tell me how to sign a msg then yes I can proviaide sign  msg
And if we talk about collateral I don't think its important you can see my trust I think that enough for this small amount

1.You have set the password recently.Maybe the account was sold along with the private keys and you could be using trust of the previous owner in your defence.

2.You can still sign a message from blockchain.info if you haven't updated your wallet very recently.

3.It'd be stupid of you to scam for such a small amount, convince me that you own this account and I shall think about processing your loan request.
3360  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for ideas to make bitcoin betting website more popular on: October 06, 2016, 07:28:56 PM
-You cannot be serious about the website/business with that domain.Trust me.
-Please stop cloning the free dice sources from github? Will you ?
-No I'm wrong, this is not a bitcoin betting website,it's a school project of a 12 year old's computer class.Sorry for blowing it out of proportions.
-Forget about making it more popular.Make it slightly less annoying first.
