341  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E dot com - SCAM and UNPROFESSIONAL <<< BEWARE >>> on: May 29, 2013, 02:31:47 PM
Again, this is not the fault of btc-e.

Have you tried reading the update on the feathercoin main page? http://stats.feathercoin.com/

Quote
This is a mandatory update by block 33,000. After this block old clients will no longer be compatible. All coins and transactions are safe and will be the same in the new client. At current network speed, block 33,000 should be reached on the 22nd of May. At block 33,000 the difficulty will be adjusted by 41.4% to help speed up transactions. After this block the difficulty will be adjusted in multiples of 504 making the difficulty adjust four times faster than Litecoin. The difficulty can change by a maximum of 41.4%.

Or, posting a thread on their forums: http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?board=3.0

I don't use FeatherCoin, but I've read about a lot of orphaned blocks, if this is your problem, then you are SOL.

Would moving the wallet.dat to a new client safely transfer my FTC?

343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake on: May 29, 2013, 02:29:36 PM
Such questions are why I ended up liking the simplicity of just counting the stake actually input into the coinbase transaction, combined with the "(coins * age)*0.8 + (hashes to some fractional power)*0.2" formula Cunicula mentioned in some thread somewhere (I haven't been able to find it again though so don't know where).

Compared to the vast majority of the material in the related or vaguely related threads, it seemed wonderfully simple.

Gee thanks, MarkM. I am regretting being a dick to you in the past.

351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LuckyCoin LKY | Lucky Blocks | Fast | Fun | Fair on: May 29, 2013, 05:03:40 AM
Only a few people got in on the early instamine = ultra-instamine. Majority of the coins right now are only in a few hands. The 16k was just an example, others got way more I'm sure.

Other coins like WDC were an instamine too but the difficulty didn't go up as fast so more got in on it.

Like I said, DigitalCoin and Nibble used a good approach to combat this and LuckyCoin could have done the same.
352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gekko - a javascript trading bot for nodejs on: May 29, 2013, 05:02:32 AM
This would be very cool if it was made.

I can see this becoming very big and popular among Bitcoin users.

Keep up the good work!
