Who was it that was suppose to fly out to AMC and visit Ken for a few days?  Anyone know when that was suppose to happen?

I am,

It will be next week and I'll report what I can as soon as I can.
342  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: January 08, 2014, 02:57:47 PM
Would still rather just see the Alt Coins be turned into BTC (About 26 BTC by my estimates currently) and distributed with dividends with 25% being kept by LRM as it is profits from mining.

Reinvesting it in overpriced CEX.IO gear would be a waste and just push payback time further out as 26 BTC is only going to get around ~550GH currently at CEX.io prices (~0.2BTC/Day).

To put this in perspective it would take 130 Days to get that back if difficulty DIDN'T change.
I also didn't sign up to play the CEX.io Market with shareholder gear.

Let's not waste money simply to have more hashing power please.

^^ busted

It wasn't obvious?

The referral bonus only includes purchased GHS

Oh, that sucks, so I moved pools thinking I was helping LRM while it does nothing at all :/

It can help.

Use the NMC you generate and buy GHashes... everything you buy makes 3% of that amount get added to LRM.

+1

I'm trying to figure out exactly what would best help LRM with these alt coins we're mining.  There are plenty of ways they can help.

I vote dividends Tongue Might be smarter to trade for GHs then trade those GHs for BTC instead of trying to go through an exchange. (Haven't really looked)
345  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: January 07, 2014, 04:27:59 PM
Thanks for that picture. Your errors and submit ratios almost exactly match my unit, so I can say mine is working normally. I still am getting a good 39/36gh rate out of it with the water cooling heatsink, best $50 I have spent.

C

Mine are just using the EVO212 heatsinks with the Recommended Padding (not even arctic silver)

Almost 36 Days uptime. Solid Units. As always I recommend MrTeal/ChipGeek.

High power and high clock rate boards in volume isn't easy.

Sure you can build a microcontroller at home and get the hardware and firmware debugged in a month or 2 of tinkering, but delivering in volume is a different kettle of fish.

This whole market has moved from a hobby to serious engineering enterprises in 9 months.  Lots of folks are going to fall as the stakes increase over the next year.

Ken has missed his window.  It was at best 2-3 months wide to begin with.
We are basically going to have 3 ASIC manufacturers. How much faster can the technology get though? Aren't we coming to a roadblock?

There are still 2 process nodes - 22/20 nm and 14 nm to go.  On top of that there is room for design optimizations.  How much can actually be squeezed out is tough to say with any accuracy.

There are a lot more than 3 suppliers already.  Let me list

With known functional hardware:

ASICMINER
Avalon
BFL
Bitfury
KNC
AMT

Shipping this month (high confidence, and proof shown)
Hashfast
CoinTerra

Expected soon:
Bitmine.ch
Black Arrow
Activemining (?)

Rumored
21e6

I expect there are other groups running development projects targeting 20 or 14 nm nodes in stealth mode funded by VC dollars.

I also wouldn't rule out AMD offering a hashing engine for license at 14 nm.  The market is getting that large.

AMT is using bitfury chips and is going to be using bitmine.ch's chips
Bitmine.ch has proof of chips - http://bitmine.ch/?p=4543
You forgot Bitmain's AntMiner's are currently shipping.

nearly every single user that has posted in this thread has been reported for "being crumbs"

Because they are and they will continue to get reported as such as gmaxwell has told me that evading a ban using a sock would get that sock banned.

You forget that zumzero and sturtuk were banned for taking on the Trolls. Do you think that is a life-time ban offence? If so you had better watch what you say to the Trolls. They have friends in high places - as Crumbs once said on this forum.

Yes, they were both tools. Exactly as you are currently acting.

Stop responding to crumbs, go take a break from this forum as you seem to be going mad.

Just report the alts, don't respond to the trolls, and carry-on. It honestly isn't very hard.

Please do not reply to crumbs, just report his posts to moderators as "Alt of Crumbs" and they all get banned.

Currently known Alts (quite a bit are already banned)

An existing account with a credible post count can be a valuable commodity around here.

4kUSD for a few little posts? Do you think people on here are that stupid??

So meanwhile Ken is denying to share ANY evidence of shipped product, he wont even comment on it - but he pays you 4k to say something different? How the hell would that make sense VE? Have you taken too many pills today?

you both have the same activity level, which tells me your accounts are about the same age.  should we assume that you are also full of shit?  at least he told us he accepted payment to be full of shit.

crumbs continues to post
zumzero lifetime ban

yeah you can trust BCT Admin.

(edited)
if CanadianGuy did indeed receive payment from Zumzero to post false info then he (Zumzero) absolutely should be banned.  probably CanadianGuy too

352  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 04, 2014, 04:10:18 PM
And Obama promised that, "if you like your healthcare plan you can keep it". Try suing him on that statement.

*cough cough* sovereign immunity COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND UNRELATED SITUATION *cough cough*

Its very similar entity makes promise it knows it cannot keep, prosecution fails due to the slowness of the court system so the entity does not get caught or held liable im any way shape or form.

Just because there was a promise does not mean that entity will keep the promise. If a corporation knows they can make money with a false promise, or by not keeping a promise then they will do just that.

And this is called fraud, which carries both civil and criminal penalties. There's a reason only criminals do this...

Good luck getting them convicted of fraud and your money back. Just because someone is legally wrong and you can win the case does not gaurrantee restitution. HF will be bankrupt on purpose before any lawsuite is conplete. Point being that a promise without backing will not protect you and the legal system will not protect you in a timeley manner which means you will probably never succeed in recouping the promised funds even though they broke the law.

Good thing they have working chips which means their IP is worth quite a bit. If they somehow ran out of money that would be what you would go after.
353  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: January 03, 2014, 05:15:44 PM
Hmmm....

BFL have announced half price Monarchs for new orders with existing pre-order customers having to swallow full price for early ASIC fabrication.

Though there will not be any offer of redress coming from BFL for existing (I don't know if LRM has any 'special relations' with BFL) would it be worth putting in an order for half price cards knowing that they will offer the same return (ish) taking increase in difficulty into account?

BFL have stated that thousands of wafers will be available in order to drive their GH/s contracts so new Monarch orders should turn around relatively quickly (4 - 6 weeks?) once chips are available from the foundry.

Thoughts (keep them constructive!!!) ?

The only constructive feedback is to literally never do business with BFL again.

Just goes to show how easily fooled some people are.

Even by themselves it seems!

And by others!

If you won't believe Bargraphics, who I think has a fine reputation on these boards, then perhaps you will believe me when I say it.

I have confirmed, with high certainty, that the Eligius address in question is NOT ActiveMining or VMC equipment.

Shilling for Terrahash's scam is what you consider a fine reputation?

You must consider Pirateat40 a prince, and Inaba a pillar of the community.

I guess for starters we can compare yours to mine. You won't show your face in public yet I will.

[...]I guess that settles that. Sucks to be Vigil.

I actually know who the miner is... I would not have posted otherwise.

Log is legit.  Quote is legit.
Wizkid did not confirm nor deny anything regarding ActM, Ken, or VMC involvement. Even if it is not our farm, it could be VMC machines in some sort of Beta as minerpart stated.

wizkid057: I dont even know who "ActM" is

Log is legit.  Quote is legit.

That's pretty confirmed it isn't ActM
Not really. There is no definite: "It is not..." It also does not rule out the possibility that these are VMC machines.

Besides the fact you just PM'd me and I told you unequivocally that they are not VMC Machines.

VinceSamios: wizkid057 / Luke-Jr - would you guys mind confirming for the idiots in the ActM thread that the 250TH account is not ActM. plz, thanx.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=297503.new#new
wizkid057: I dont even know who "ActM" is
VinceSamios: ActiveMining aka Virtual Mining Co aka Ken Slaughter
wizkid057: never heard of them
wizkid057: heh
VinceSamios: Can you do me a major favour and just pop in and say "it's not ActM" - would be super appreciated
wizkid057: then someone will ask me to say "its not XXX" or "its not YYY" ... I guess I made the mistake before by pointing out that its not hashfast, but, I think I'm just going to let users figure it out on their own from now on
VinceSamios: I see your point.
wizkid057: I'll just say here that I've never heard of "ActiveMining" until you mentioned it just now

I guess that settles that. Sucks to be Vigil.

I actually know who the miner is... I would not have posted otherwise.
Total BS. He never denied it was Active Mining or Ken. Ken may not even have opened the account acknowledging anything regarding ActM. I can sign up for Eligius and no one would have any idea who I was. Wizkid dodged the question.

Bargraphics, how soon until you visit Ken and take pictures of progress?

The week after next if all goes well. I invite anyone else that can make it to come as well but it seems like I'm alone on this one.

Sorry for not reading > 300 pages for this info, but has Ken confirmed that he will let you in?

Yes
