341  Economy / Economics / Re: Grexit on: June 28, 2015, 02:22:54 AM
It's inevitable somethings going to give somewhere.

I *hope* its the grexit....

but there seems to be always a last minute deal.

eventually though there won't.

saw it on cnn it was a last minute bail out, they still have to meet the European central bank, anything could happen in the next week or so, then again it would take a bit of time after if Greece defaults for the people actually feel the worst.
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 27, 2015, 10:40:59 PM
At first no one came..
After my recommendation.two friends started.
But they felt this as boring so they discontinued.

Try to make some earning by yourself than show off to your friend and then your friend will start interest for it. For the first attempt, can try to treat your classmate or office friend some food because you're using bitcoin instead your own money.

This is a great way to get someone interested in Bitcoin. When I tried to get one of my family members interested in Bitcoin, they wouldn't accept it, even though a few of my other family members have already. But then I used Bitcoin in a real world situation, and now they too use Bitcoin, because they saw how easy and fast Bitcoin really is.

That is what I am currently doing. Most of my friends and family have no idea what bitcoin is. It is just some weird nerd hobby

Actually something like that was my tactic to get a few friends to start checking out bitcoin, going to a restaurant and me coming out and saying oh damn i left my wallet at home but of course knowing the restaurant does take bitcoin so i pull out my phone and paid with my bitcoin wallet, it pretty much blows their minds.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs survey on: June 27, 2015, 07:48:25 PM
People born in 2015 will grow up in a cashless world where Bitcoin will be second nature to them. Im kinda jealous, I wish I was born today, but im not that old, and the fact I already know about Bitcoin and own some puts me so much ahead of the pack of the future generations.

I guess is up to what your age is, me being on my late 20's well 29 actually even tho i didnt get to mine bitcoin early and im currently holding on double digits the only thing I'm jealous about is not being here from the beginning, in the next 30 years I'll be on my 60's and the movement of bitcoin could be crazy or the worlds #1 economy uniting the world together other bitcoin.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 27, 2015, 07:42:53 PM
Today i got a friend that is a graphics designer to come on the forum and to begin taking bitcoin has a payment, hes pretty good at what he does so i figure bitcoin could be a plus for him, he was a bit on denial when i showed him the list of retails that now take bitcoin.
345  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: June 27, 2015, 07:40:32 PM
I would speculate a lot of the lost coins came from the curious miners when Bitcoin developed. They just experimented with the concept and left BTC in a wallet they deleted shortly after. There were also a lot of stories (that made actual news stories) about how some have had a ridiculous amount of BTC in a hard drive which they just threw out.

Yea i saw a popular story that a guy that had 50k bitcoins on an old hard drive threw it out and actually when a few months back to the local garbage lot to try and find it, drive is still lost so im sure there are people still hunting the drive in the garbage lot like treasure hunters.

347  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: June 26, 2015, 02:45:02 PM

Absolutely, we need something with a smooth and easy user experience because technically less knowledgeable customers simply don't bother with Bitcoin. Even buying Bitcoin is an impossible mission for an average porn customer never mind securing the wallet or understanding public and private keys.
A Bitcoin payment processor could be a solution as you said, but in this case the customer would have to trust a noname company with his money instead of using a bank. It's not realistic again, why a customer new to Bitcoin would trust a startup payment processor instead of Citibank?
The so good attributes of Bitcoin which makes it decentralized and secure in the same time prevent it from a wider adoption.
The porn industry need a quick and easy to use payment solution and unfortunately it seems Bitcoin is not that.

Yea most likely it need to have a trust partnership build to it that most of this users know, now they did innovate the online payment processors back in the 90s but now it seems like their are stuck there. then again there is always all the tax issues behind companies like that and how revenue comes in they might be scare of bitcoin.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 26, 2015, 02:19:51 PM
the media made bitcoin has a nightmare to who dont know what it is ,like drugs... the way it had been talked is like that some virus lol but it will chance

Im introducing Bitcoin is like paypal and trade bittrex is like forex Roll Eyes
but he always confused  Cheesy
Don't introduced it like a paypal because we all know that paypal is so easy to hack and the process of it is so slow.

i would introduce it like online banking but without needing to login into your onlinebanking to send a transfer or make a payment, you find it odd but a lot more people pay their home bills online because they dont want to visit the bank or they just simply dont have the time.
349  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: June 26, 2015, 02:16:09 PM
Bitcoin is perfect for porn shenanigans, i dont want to give my real name and bank address to porn producers lol.

I think the porn industry is missing out big time by not accepting bitcoin. Most people don't want to give their personal details to such companies nor do they want their wives to see what they've been buying on their credit card. Plus, they can save a lot of money avoiding credit card fees.

Bitcoin isn't truly anonymous but rather pseudonymous

It's anonymous because the porn sites won't know who the hell you are if you don't want to tell them.

Since the average adult site customer knows very little about Botcoin never mind buying Bitcoin, Bitcoin payment unfortunately is simply not a feasible alternative payment processing method for the porn sites. That's the reason only 10% of porn.com volume is in Bitcoin. Using Bitcoin is just too bloody difficult for the average porn customer.

Another problems is the complexity with keeping the payments anonymous. Bitcoin is all right anonymous if the payee use different addresses or mixing services, but it seems from the slow adoption of Bitcoin that it is unreasonable to expect the customer go through such pain and complex process just to spend money. Instead of the customers just use the well known and tested non anonymous payment method or use some anonymous payments like some of the voucher scheme.

We need to make Bitcoin easier to use otherwise average customers simply won't touch it.

Well you got a few points there, the bitcoin maker has tons of business opportunities there just hasn't been a company that could offer the average joe an thoughtless difficulty level in bitcoin experience, looking at bitcoin from a none tech person point of view i know people would find it way to complicated just for what bitcoin represent to us and those around it.

maybe a payment processor for adult sites would be a good idea, offering the porn customers a more efficient and anonymous way to pay for their porn.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone tried this LocalBitcoins alternative ? on: June 26, 2015, 02:08:59 PM
I'm looking forward to the launch of Coinffeine, as that will be a true LocalBitcoins alternative Smiley

Neither OpenBazaar will be an alternative to eBay, nor Coinffeine or BitSquare will be an alternative to LocalBitcoins. Whenever there is a requirement of an escrow, centralized services will work better. Escrow based decentralization will never work.

Let the community give it a shot, maybe it does get to work, i like the way bitsquare is going about it then again is all about mass adoption and having people using the market with out that there is no point build the best of the best if there is no mass adoption is has good has a fail one.

Well I wouldn't say mass adoption is they key, most start ups now are getting some good Venture capital funding which takes then to a better level of development and being then acquire by bigger companies, I think if they have a good business model they could make it big.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we can get paid BTC for searching on Bing? on: June 26, 2015, 01:52:38 PM
I find it odd that they havent enable the campaign in U.S since is one of the biggest online buying community, i guess it up the company giving out the rewards to decide what country they wanted working on.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we can get paid BTC for searching on Bing? on: June 26, 2015, 03:55:03 AM
I haven't tried Tango Cards myself yet.

So far I've earned several Xbox gift cards, Skype minutes etc.

Do I miss something? Or didn't you earned these gift cards and Skype minutes with using Bing as your search provider? I did reconize an referal-URL though Wink, however, I don't mind to use it. Unfortunately I also see the message that this reward option is not available in my country..

Is there an idea about how much you will actual earn with using Bing instead of Google? I think we all use Google quite often - and even more then we do realize. If we can earn some extra presents with using Bing instead, I might swap too. (although I have to find a proxy-way or something then).
If you read the thread you'll see I calculated his. 14 cents a day. Anyone who thinks that is worth it needs a reality check.

Well some money is better then no money, maybe for your is not worth the time using bing just your use an other search engine that doesn't offer you a dime on your usage they are making money of their users so might as well get some money for it.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Executive Says 21 Million Cap Increase Inevitable on: June 25, 2015, 03:34:00 PM
Well now we have to deal with this bitcoin executives we didnt ask for talking about adding more cap, i would consider to add the coin that are confirm that to be recover, just by adding 5 to 10m btc price would go down so much just based on speculation.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we can get paid BTC for searching on Bing? on: June 25, 2015, 03:18:43 PM
30 credits on a double day, so 15 credits on a normal day. 525 credits for $5 amazon, so 35 days for $5, i.e. 14 cents per day.

Not worth using bing, what a joke  Cheesy
That's 52$ a year or .21BTC who knows what that will be worth in a couple years, and just for searching with Bing, I can live with that.

I know right, lets say your grandma doesnt mind using bing every time she uses a search engine and your not that good at saving money, .21 btc in the future could be 21k usd who knows.

well if you dont mind using bing it adds up when you check by the end of the month that extra money google didnt pay you for, if you dont want to use it have your family do it for you. 3 to 4 people gets a good amount of points.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2015, 03:07:08 PM
Poloniex has new "Lending" feature. I'm earning 0.05% daily interest on BTC I lended to margin traders. Still it makes it around 18% annual return, probably not worth risking keeping your Bitcoins on an exchange.

I look at poloniex " Lending " demand is still quiet. demand borrow quite a lot, but demand that lend absolutely no

I think its risky to keep your btc in these site. because they may scam you one one day, and took all your money.

The thing is that yes we can make a good money from Signature Campaign (High Paying), the trading thing that the op mentioned in the OP thread is risky, because if some one dont know about trading he may loose his btc, because its happened with me that i lost more than 80$.

it is risky indeed, but investing isn't something that's easy and without risk. if i would lend my money with such purpose i would prefer bitfinex. that exchange gives me much more confidence than poloniex.

yes because poloniex very recently issued a lending system, so not many people believe.
I see still better lending in this forum with collateral account

i did miss that, it is nice to have lending integrate in a exchange directly, but the volume is non existing, there is 1 guy that want a loan and 10k guys that are offering one

also the interest is monstrously low 0.0130%? really?

Oh didnt know Poloniex had lending already, the last time i had to log in to poloniex i was withdrawing most of my altcoins because they where changing their ID policy, lending is becoming a trend feature for exchanges now days.
357  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: June 25, 2015, 03:02:35 PM
well ebay will loose market interest too fast after openbazaar goes live and first transactions happens without problems... its happening bitcoin will take down a huge wall and 15% fee is really a lot money

It will probably be a long battle.  Ebay and other sites uses google to advertise.  OB will have to become the #1 known market place so people dont even bother with google ads.

I think it'll become a healthy niche. It would need a gargantuan push and some fancy new layers on top to reach a point where it started to eat in to Ebay.

That said, I'm sure there are plenty of buyers and sellers who are growing increasingly sick of being ravaged by fees, shitty products and charge backs. They have an actual incentive to find better alternatives. Most of them would need plenty of hand holding though.

Every Ebay alternative so far has been pitifully empty but they were just clones that didn't really bring anything new. This does. Whether the masses choose to recognise that is a different matter.

If bitcoin can be super easy to get by any idiot - so like if bitcoin was in a paypal wallet for fiat to bitcoin conversion for example.  Then ebay sellers can put a link to their open bazaar store with every sale in the post.

OB could become like the internet for trading.... currently if you want information you go to the internet.  If you want products bought or sold you just go to OB.

I dont think ebay allows external links to other stores, unless OB get categorize has social media which i dont think that would be the case, I'm the ebay people are aware of the competition that coming, lets say ebay is gen 1.0 of market places with bitcoin we can go pass gen 3.0 in market places.

359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we can get paid BTC for searching on Bing? on: June 25, 2015, 02:52:09 AM
The product is already there already, if you're a xbox gamer or a skype user, belltown has saids "So far I've earned several Xbox gift cards, Skype minutes etc." so pretty much any users based from xbox and skype will turn into big if is being market everywhere.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we can get paid BTC for searching on Bing? on: June 25, 2015, 02:32:42 AM
