341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Venom Token Potential Reward For Early TestNet Users - Guide on: March 09, 2024, 10:32:55 AM
Also seen this announcement. Hope that they filter all bots that joined this campaign or testnet since many are probably do multi accounts or dummys to gain more tokens. I think the tokens are locked right? Atleast if the rewards are locked hope that real users get it not the farmers.

There has been a lot of negative news around Venom lately, which was related to the dark past of the company's management. Nevertheless, the team continued to work on the project, announcing new quests for its early users. Therefore, it was a surprise for me to learn that a snapshot was taken. So in any case, I will be glad to receive an airdrop, regardless of its size. But if they continue their quests on the main network, I will not participate in them, as there is a risk of losing my money.

The Venom Foundation announced on its official Facebook page that the snapshot has already been completed - https://twitter.com/venomfoundation/status/1765706568266379661 However, the team suggests logging into your account and completing the last task, receiving the final NFT - https://venom.network/tasks/venom-launch

343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think the altcoin bull run will begin in 2024? on: March 08, 2024, 11:54:03 PM
I'm obviously somebody who believes trading in altcoins is the right way to maximize profits. Now that we're getting close to a new Bitcoin bull cycle, I just wanted to know how soon do you think altcoins will take flight? Are you following the Altcoin Season Index?

Everyone wants to get an answer to these 2 questions: when to buy and when to sell. But if you don't have a crystal ball, then you'll never know the answer for sure. Therefore, if you hold altcoins, you definitely need to set a stop loss in case of a dump. And if the price goes down, it will allow you to buy the same coins again at a reduced price.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $26,000 to invest, any suggestions? on: March 08, 2024, 11:33:19 PM
...What is on you guys radar? I'm not interested in dog/cat meme coins, or anything like that. I don't plan to straight up gamble my money, like in a casino.  Cheesy

It may happen that all purchases made at the current price may turn out to be high. Therefore, I would delay my purchases a little, waiting for a stronger correction in the market, after which I can consider buying at a reduced price.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump Bitcoin over $70,000! on: March 08, 2024, 12:44:47 AM
It's true that buying bitcoin at its current price isn't too bad in the long run, but to be honest, deciding to buy at this time is quite risky and a bit risky. What if bitcoin suddenly drops to $50k or $40k and it stays there for years? Of course, if we don't sell, we still won't lose money, but we're clearly burying investment capital unnecessarily. In my opinion, the market will not be able to increase forever and there will be many corrections to gain more motivation to increase prices. So we can consider waiting more or we can buy at the current price but not buy all the money we have.

Of course, everyone expects that after such a rapid increase, the price of bitcoin will have to adjust much more than we saw a day ago. But such a correction does not mean that the price will remain at this level for several years, since this is not the end of the bull market and we will still see the next high.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Xrp still worth to break its previous 3.4$ ATH? on: March 07, 2024, 11:53:55 PM
XRP Coin is a very old platform. Massive investors have invested their money on this platform, but the price of this XRP coin has not increased compared to unique coins.  In today's competitive times, in order to survive in the cryptocurrency market, one must stay competitive. The coin is still worth 0.62 cents after the two coins have risen so much, surely investors would have made a better investment had it been closer to a dollar. Currently, other successful cryptocurrencies grow in line with Bitcoin, but the XRP just stagnates.

Until the trial of the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple is completed, it will be wrong to expect that the value of the XRP coin will increase. But the end of the trial does not mean that the price of the coin will increase, for this it is necessary that the Ripple company wins.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think the altcoin bull run will begin in 2024? on: March 07, 2024, 04:41:50 PM
...there might be no altcoin season no more but just cryptocurrency bullish cycle in which all coin are riding the train that bitcoin is having and thats it, though its honestly just my speculation
we don't even know if there gonna be altcoin season since seeing from past chart history maybe its gonna be happening at the peak of bitcoin.

When Bitcoin hits a price level at which further price growth will be impossible, investors will receive a significant profit, which they will fix and buy altcoins, the price of which will be low in relation to BTC. We just can't do without the altcoin season)
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 07, 2024, 03:50:55 PM
...We all need to understand that 1st priority in crypto is surviving. Profits are in 2nd place. Yes that sounds counterintuitive, but it's really simple. The real skill is not in making money. The real skill is in keeping it.

I would still change priorities, because if you can't make a profit, then you will have nothing to keep) Obviously, we are talking about how, as the price increases, it is necessary to fix part of the profit, which it is desirable to withdraw to fiat, so that life is more fun.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: March 07, 2024, 02:31:03 PM
Nice one!  I only get a tad over 800 tokens for using Portal Bridge.  But I'm confused, does that mean I get 800 from just the EVM side and another 800 from the Solana side?  Are does it already account for both?  :/

Hoping the 800 plus change is for each.  Lolol.

And I was checking the Wormhole Discord server a little while ago.  Things are going crazy over there.  Apparently a lot of people who were grinding the server for roles didn't get any airdrop.  Now they're mad.

Edit:  And what dapps were you using?  Mayan?

I also used the Portal Bridge exclusively, but it is obvious that the number of blockchains and the volume that was transferred through the bridge are different for us. In addition to EVM, I used Aptos, SUI, Solana and there was also one interaction via ONFT Bridge Merkly.

Regarding Discord, I have already said many times that this is a waste of time, but I do not rule out that in the end some project can generously reward.

I connected my wallets to the checker via MM, Aptos, SUI and Solana, but everywhere it showed the same number of coins. And if they really gave me all these coins, it would be very good. But unfortunately, this will not happen.

350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: March 06, 2024, 11:37:39 PM
Wormhole has published tokenomics on his blog, according to which 17% of tokens (Ticker:W) will be allocated to the community - https://wormhole.com/wormhole-w-tokenomics. There they also said that the snapshot has already been completed, but they did not specify the exact date of the snapshot. This will be a large airdrop, given that the number of active wallets that have completed at least one transaction is only 90 thousand.

Is there anyone here besides me who has performed any actions in Wormhole? It's time to check your wallets - https://airdrop.wormhole.com/ Now the price of the W coin is about $2 on the premarket, I hope to see it even higher on the listing.

352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about futures on: March 05, 2024, 05:27:31 PM

You can see the price that I set which is $60000. You can see the estimated liquidation price which is $39605.2. Not $44000. ..

It is difficult for us to establish the truth in absentia, but according to the screenshot, you open a position not for $300, as required by the OP, but for $180. And accordingly, for this reason, the liquidation price will have a different meaning. I myself cannot demonstrate such a screenshot, since I have open positions on derivatives and the margin exceeds that of the OP.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the Season of Airdrops? on: March 05, 2024, 03:09:51 PM
Lol, just like I said before I never know how you guys come across these airdrops and I would like to learn because I believe there will be some that give me good money especially those that intended to be listed on exchanges

We ourselves do not know exactly where we will get the next airdrop, but if you are stacking such ATOM, INJ, OSMO, TIA, JUNO coins on Cosmos, then you can claim the airdrop from Hava Coin. You can check the eligibility to receive airdrop by following the link, but to preserve the security of the wallet, you should not connect it to the site ye - https://havacoin.xyz/eligibility-check.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think are the best crypto to invest in today before the halving? on: March 05, 2024, 01:08:33 PM
Not too late like I believe, one thing I believe if Dcaing is that every entry price remains profitable as long we are capable to hold for long. The market will surely often experience some corrections creating opportunity for anyone who missed the opportunity of accumulating enough Bitcoin in his/her portfolio even those who had bought may even want to buy more but in a much softer practice.

If you consider it rational to hold a position for several years, then there is no reason to worry about the current price level. Obviously, many traders breathed a sigh of relief when, 2 years after buying Bitcoin at the maximum price, the current price reached the purchase level again.
355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about futures on: March 05, 2024, 12:26:07 PM
I think that Oshosondy gave the wrong calculation and, accordingly, may mislead you. Look at how the support of the Binance exchange explains such a question to "How to Calculate Margin Liquidation Price", as an example, x3 leverage is used there, exactly what you are interested in - https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/how-to-calculate-margin-liquidation-price-f6b010588e55413aa58b7d63ee0125ed
I am wrong? Okay let us assume that I am wrong. If bitcoin is at $60000 and you go 3x leverage to open a long position, what price would be the liquidation price? You can not say that I am wrong if you do not give the answer. Give the answer in bitcoin price with prove and not just refer to any article.

I am sure that you did not even open the link that I indicated earlier, otherwise you would have realized that the formula of calculating the liquidation price is different from the one that you use) If the initial balance is $100, and you have opened a long position with x3 leverage, at a price of $60,000, then the liquidation price will be $44,000. To simplify the calculation, you can use a calculator - https://www.binance.com/en/margin/calculator

356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about futures on: March 04, 2024, 10:23:33 PM
If bitcoin is at $60000 and you long it with 3x, the liquidation would be around $40000. If you can take the risk, you can go for it.

Hi, what calculation did you do to find the liquidation price please?

It is simple.

Bitcoin price at $60000 and you open 3x long position.

$60000 ÷ 3 = $20000

$60000 - $20000 = $40000 which is the liquidation price.

There would be a slight difference on the exchange and that is how exchanges are. You can see the liquidation price slightly closer but of very little difference from your calculation. On some exchanges, the liquidation price may be slightly be farther because the exchange keep some money for you instead of using all to open a position.

Ok thank you very much

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think are the best crypto to invest in today before the halving? on: March 04, 2024, 08:43:58 PM
I suggest to focus on bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best coin in the crypto world, and the price will most likely be higher after the halving occurs. If you want to focus on altcoins, then Ethereum is the choice. However, I'm sure there will be many people who suggest choosing bitcoin over other altcoins.

I think it's too late to buy bitcoin when the price has already reached the value of 68 thousand dollars and is very close to its ATH. It is better now to just watch how the record price level will break through and then make a decision either to buy Bitcoin or to open a short position.
358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you do better than the youtubers when value is going down? Or what..?=?? on: March 04, 2024, 06:22:33 PM
...When I try to trade short term it always goes to where the smell is purely awfully bad! Best results is when I don't trade but just hold no matter what direction, up or down.

Is there any advice to keep going strong even when prices are dropping slowly but surely over time..??

The only way to make money in a bear market is to open a short position, but this is only possible with margin trading. But before moving on to futures trading, you need to learn how to trade with profit on the spot market, and as I understand it, you have problems with this.
359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency exchange do you recommend for the Colombians ? on: March 04, 2024, 05:52:43 PM
So which exchange works the best for Colombians, considering that the fiat money withdrawals and deposits in the exchange account are made directly from the local Colombian bank account?...

The most comprehensive list of cryptocurrency exchanges can be found on https://coinmarketcap.com/ru/rankings/exchanges/, giving preference in the order of the ranking. It is possible that some of these exchanges may be banned in your country, but you will be able to find out during the registration process.
360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot Trading vs Futures Trading on: March 04, 2024, 05:23:23 PM
...Like @MusaMohamed has mentioned, liquidation fees is one of the hidden nightmares that come with futures and margin...

In the event that a trader's position is liquidated, he has to pay an additional commission to the exchange. The easiest way to avoid this is that you need to set the stop loss slightly higher than your position liquidation level. Thus, your position will be closed at a stop loss, not liquidated, and you will not pay a liquidation fee.
