341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: October 17, 2019, 08:10:43 PM
I am not always lucky with day trading, I prefer mid term trading which usually works out for me at least 70% overall. I hold very few coins for long term so that I can follow up on all. I won't say either is better, just stick to which works well for you (day trading or long term hold). I lost a fortune holding WAN and since then I became very cautious of projects I hold for long term. I've also learnt the hard way, to be successful in crypto, you need to keep greed aside.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: October 17, 2019, 05:50:08 PM
For Bounty Hunters
Even if i advice you not to give up on doing researches on every proje ts before promoting them this doesn't mean they wont scam you or waste your precious time BUT still the only question you need to ask is, Are there bounties that pays hunter good rewards this year? YES they are very few and good projects take time, Do not expect good projects every months cos its impossible

For Investors
ICO and STO are no go side, stay away from them because they are almost all red flags, IEO is here for you and all you have to do is go to binance for any new upcoming IEO fund raising, you will get positive results

I agree with the advise to bounty hunters, it's crystal clear that even when you do proper research before promoting a project, you might end up regretting due to no payment or failed project. I do not entirely agree with your advice to investors, some STOs still do well and also Binance is not the only exchange which has been doing well with IEOs. As a matter of fact, my best IEO profit was on Gate.io this year. Exchanges like KUCOIN, OKEX, HUOBI, BITMAX with good reputation still do well with IEOs. The bottom line is, do proper due diligence and follow what works for you.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC blocks Telegram with its $1.7 Billion token sale on: October 17, 2019, 04:32:08 PM
Did SEC put a permanent stop to the token sale or halted it due to regulation issues? I think if telegram meets required regulatory terms, they will scale through with the token sale. There was so much hype around telegram coin and TON blockchain, I do wish them success based on some features I look up to. If the token sale is permanently stopped, I don't really think it has any major effect on the market. I'm more interested in the TON blockchain than the coin actually.

345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Creates Currency to Cancel-out Cryptocurrency on: August 18, 2019, 09:20:11 PM
I've been seeing several rumours about China creating their own digital currency, some contradicting each other. Some sources claim that China will create her own crypto, others say China will create a centralized digital FIAT currency like mentioned on this post. Obviously the governments are scared of what crypto will turn out to be in future, imagine more and more people converting their FIAT to crypto, it means less control and monitoring of individual funds by the government, less tax paid to the government, and also a threat to FIAT. China creating a digital FIAT currency doesn't pose any threat to crypto in any way, it's just like saying Perfect Money will pose a threat to Bitcoin, which is never possible as earlier purported.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers ruin ICO fund raising on: August 18, 2019, 08:08:22 AM
ICO craze died when many fakers with bad intentions to scam and not develop any project came into the scene. It's true that ICOs if continued in the right way would have given the project teams more control of entire funds raised for development of the project, but the sad truth remains that they never channel all allocated funds to project development. That aside, safety first hence IEO done on reputable exchanges is by far better than ICO. IEO even gives an edge to projects since many investors buy in with confidence and most times the hardcap is met, unlike ICOs that struggle to hit softcap most often. Why will a project team even think of doing IEO on an exchange that is not reputable? that is the only way they can lose funds to scammers. Let's just embrace the new form of tokensale (IEO), there is no need reminiscing on ICO since it's old news.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Overview] Exchanges, IEOs and their ROIs on: August 17, 2019, 03:53:02 PM
Very unique post, it shows clearly that most standard exchanges have been performing well with IEO. Personally I didn't really know Bittrex has some successful IEOs after the saga from the very first, of which I lost interest in their IEOs. Also from your records, SERO's IEO done on gate.io has the highest ROI ever. I had more interest on Binance IEOs since that's always the talk of crypto space but with this, it's crystal clear that there are other exchanges with decent IEO performance. I observed Bitfinex which newly joined the IEO craze is missing from your list, consider adding its data when need be.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes its always the investors fault on: August 17, 2019, 01:01:17 PM
It's true that ever since the IEO craze, many investors have been reluctant to do proper due diligence before buying in. Let's not always rely on the fact that the exchange hosting an IEO must have done required research since they will also try to protect their own image, or rely on hype of the project. A good investor will always do proper research on Team, product, tokenomics at least.  Also do not say the price per token is cheap, then you buy in with huge amount of money, be aware that sometimes the total supply of these tokens are very large too. In essence, due diligence is mandatory if you must invest in any coin or token.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT Token integrated into blogging platform on: August 16, 2019, 03:33:14 PM
I've seen a few threads on Publishox, I'm not disputing the fact that it's a good publishing platform but when there are so many threads on it, it looks like spam. Well I like the fact that publishox integrated BAT, being my second best altcoin (I'm a big fan of BRAVE browser).  I also like how PublishOx works looking at the UI and incentives. When BountyOx team rolled out this platform, I didn't think it will be appealing until after trying it out, now it's my third best publishing platform after steemit and golos.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of all projects is worthless and not worth a cent. What do you think? on: August 16, 2019, 01:35:02 PM
I agree with this post that many crypto projects are worthless, but saying 99% is a hyperbole, I think about 70% will be fair enough. Many projects never accomplish what's on their roadmap, some even keep mute after token sale (which means their main aim was to scam people through the token sale). Some will even go as far as listing on exchanges and then dump everything, I was a victim for PENT (penchant)  and XTM (Xentimentum) which listed on mercatox and hotbit respectively.  The team members cleared all bids (buy orders) until there was none left. Exchanges and Coinmarketcap should scrutinize projects properly before listing , not just listing any new project easily. Well, there are still some very good crypto projects still keeping up with developments for long term, my favorites will include TRX,  EOS, LINK, ATOM, ICX not forgetting ETH.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin today on: August 15, 2019, 04:46:31 PM
So many altcoins are baseless, especially those without any record of development updates so far, ever since they were launched. Some top altcoins still give hope with development, especillay those like BAT,  LINK, ATOM, TRX, EOS and a few others with remarkable progress. It's high time team members of crypto projects started thinking how their tokens can have a real world use case, not just listing on exchanges and dumping as most do.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Ethereum wallet? on: August 15, 2019, 12:19:25 PM
My best Ethereum wallet is trust wallet. This is because I can easily access DAPPS using ETH via trust wallet by going to the DAPPS section, opening the dapp website and clicking "connect wallet". Another good aspect of trust wallet is that aside ETH, it has support for many other coins giving it an edge. Also, it's highly secure and has a superb UI.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think ETH will bounce back to $600 or back below $100 ? on: August 14, 2019, 05:43:02 PM
You are not wrong in buying ETH at current rate since that's the best option for altcoins right now. I don't also think ETH will drop below 100$ or go above 600$ so soon.  Please note that if you are holding ETH, you should be patient, the market is not so favorable for altcoins especially right now. Talking about the big events come next year, it's true that everything being equal, they should cause a spike in prices but crypto market is highly volatile, the reverse might happen if there is FUD so nobody knows for sure. We just have to be optimistic.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: August 14, 2019, 06:17:21 AM
All these jokes from wayback tagging ETH scam have been proven wrong. Those who bought ETH for long term like myself, taking advantage of other people's fears made huge profit from it. Let's learn to properly analyse before drawing conclusions and also be patient. Some people will dump all their holdings on any slight FUD, that's totally wrong.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal activities is giving cryptocurrencies a bad image on: August 14, 2019, 06:13:13 AM
I also believe regulations to an extent is required for crypto to gain mainstream adoption. A lot of criminal and illegal activities going on in crypto space, hiding under the privilege that crypto transactions are somewhat anonymous. From ICO scams to other criminal activities. Recently kidnappers started demanding for bitcoin or privacy coin ransome which is not right, going deep to restrain crypto adoption. Also people use crypto for illegal transactions on darkweb. All these things can't be reduced without regulations, although regulations has its own downsides.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why only few projects became successful on: August 12, 2019, 08:23:17 PM
I really like your points, team experience and devotion matters a lot in propelling a project towards attaining the project aim. Some team members are clueless, especially those who are just interested in making the money, then abandon the project. With such mindset, the project mission and vision can never be achieved and there will be negligible or zero project development.  Once the team is up to the task, definitely there will be project development updates and hence a successful project.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why only few projects became successful on: August 12, 2019, 05:33:25 PM
Actually this is very true, the team goes a long way to determine whether a project will be successful or not in crypto space. Aside proffesionalism, another very vital aspect is genuineness of the team. Some team members will only do token sale and list on exchanges just to cash out at the end, without any intentions of developing the project. Forget what you see most times on whitepaper, some will even go as far as enticing the community with an MVP, with no plans of developing a working product. Once I see that there is no project development for a project I believe in, I take a bow since its not worth it.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you check crypto prices? on: August 11, 2019, 11:39:48 AM
Last two months when I still do day trading, I check my portfolio almost every moment to keep updated with prices even though I set price alerts.  But recently, I prefer mid to long term trading and I only check my portfolio maximum of 2 to 3 times daily.  Sometimes even though I intent going in for mid to long term trading on a coin, daily checks on my portfolio help me adjust my decision. If I discover massive price spike, I normally sell and buy back if need be. In essence, I also used to be an addict of checking crypto prices but it's not so right now anymore.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is happening now? on: August 10, 2019, 12:36:45 PM
Bitcoin market dominance increased periodically and recently touched 70%. Some people think altcoin season will never come again as many big news center around bitcoin. The reason why bitcoin price goes up while most altcoins dip is because BTC value for altcoins drop when people sell their altcoins for BTC, and then drops further when there is a drop in BTC dollar value. Altcoin holders should just be patient since some altcoins still soar in price with good FA and those with good project development will be profitable in the long run.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ethereum survive below 0.02 BTC per coin? on: August 09, 2019, 08:17:07 PM
Yes, I strongly believe ETH price will be up again with time. The major reason why it's this way is because Bitcoin dominance keeps increasing, that's why ETH market cap and price dropped considerably. We should be more concerned about the development aspect of ETH because definitely the price will bounce back in my own opinion. Being below 0.02 BTC doesn't mean it's never going to rise again, we've seen similar situations in the past, it's a repeated cycle.
