I wonder why this miner is so slow. You can see that the speeds of most of the chips are reading 0 in the kernel log even though all of the chips are detected. Do you think it is temperature-related?

Yes. I am watching it on the pool side too. Those HW errors seem to kill a lot of shares.

You should also check the HW% stats, which shows the ratio as a percentage.

If you don't have enough exhaust airflow, turning off one of your machines might let hot air out, which might affect the miners nearby.

Do you know what kind of fatal error you are getting? Try checking the kernel log of the miner (Ctrl + F "Fatal").

The other cause is the miner needs more voltage to run at that mhz. If that is the case I can make a bminer at 8.9v or even try at 8.7volts. (I don't think 8.7volts is going workout to well though and cause lots of HW errors but I can build it)

I have found that at 750MHz the miner works best with 9.4 Volts. 8.8 is probably too low.

I don't know how your miners were set up, but if your miners were hacked they could easily be made to display the default URLs in the configuration / status cgi and actually be mining somewhere else. You can always inspect the network traffic if you are unsure.

Yes but unless you have recompiled bmminer for fixed frequency, it will ignore your frequency setting. Also, you need to change the voltage hierarchy to provide a higher voltage like 9.4V for frequencies like 850 MHz.

Often when the APW3++ psus die, the fans will still spin up. I would still consider them dead if they aren't outputting any power, though.

Geist PDUs come with surge suppression by default. I recommend one 20A breaker for every two miners if you are using 240V. They are based in the US so shipping to Canada shouldn't be too much of an issue.
