I was looking for a "None" option, cause it looks like a long list of crapola to me.
I'd like to know when we're going to get a PoD done on that Satoshi Nakamoto guy. Seems really shady to me. Bet that's not even his real name...

So nobody knows what this secret app is then? I hope its awesome, and puts the price through the roof.
I just hope it works on wood. /I think I may be about the only Doctor Who fan who owns any Sonicscrewdriver, which doesn't seem right, given the name...

Clearly undervaluated, other coin should take inspiration on this one, the TOR implementation is really an amazing step. Btw ... can we buy woodlock with it The sonic screwdriver doesn't do wood...

Considering becoming a distribution partner. I teach people how to use computers and technology and am starting to focus on bringing newcomers to crypto, so this could be a good fit with my projects.

Only took three days, but I finally got a response back from Cryptsy saying they are now considering SSD.

https://www.cryptsy.com is a large trading site, if the SSD if can, will have a lot of propaganda effect, will also accelerate the sound development of SSD. We have to request that they add the coin. You can do this here if you have a Cryptsy account: https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/newthe support ticket type should be set to "new coin to consider". If they get enough requests, they'll add it to the voting page and then everyone can vote there. I submitted the coin to Cryptsy with the "new coin to consider" ticket type, and I got this email about 1 hour later. sweet!! (pic related) That's funny; it's been 24 hours now and my ticket still shows as being processed. Weird. Oh well.

I'm kind of amazed at how low the price for this is. It's had a nice, slow, steady rise so far (which is healthier than the way a lot of coins launch) but it's interesting it still has escaped the notice of so many people. We'll see how long that lasts. If I only had a TARDIS, I'd pop into the future to see...

Are we going to get our funds returned since its on hold i sent in .5001 13Sg97qanH78pqdwSipeMwAMMmkQpRxx2Y
PM Jebus911 - if you read the earlier posts in the thread you know they decided to shelve the project temporarily and relaunch it and gave full refunds. Last I saw, Jebus911 is handling the refunds, but I doubt he's checking this thread very often if at all and won't have any idea you're waiting unless you tell him directly. Let him know, and I'm sure you'll get your funds back. /not affiliated with the project; just trying to be helpful

Word of warning if you use the pool.coinmarketscoin.com pool - the transaction fee for the coin is a whopping .1, yet the minimum payout amount is .01. I failed to notice how high the transaction fee was and set the payout to the minimum amount as I usually do (I've never noticed a TX fee ten times higher than the minimum payout before) and just found that I've lost significantly more to transaction fees than I actually received. Edit: point of clarification - I wasn't FUDding or anything; just wanted to make sure others notice the relative fees vs the payout amount and make sure to adjust your auto payout to minimize TX fees. Always helps to pay attention & it's my fault for not having done so.

As far as I can tell, the other thread is mainly for one guy to keep posting and posting and posting the same random request for help with a problem nobody in the thread can help him with (unless someone from C-Cex is lurking in the thread). Real reason: the dev SonicScrewDev wanted to be up front and post a new thread under his main account, argakiig.
|
|
|
I'm curious - what happened to this coin? It seemed so promising.
Nothing happened. Dev opened a new thread to use his main account because he wanted to be open about his identity and I think the new thread backfired a little because people in crypto freak out over everything.
|
|
|
Why was a new thread started? Just more "proof of dev" to reassure people you're an actual person and not a Zygon?
/attempts to resist some variant on the ancient "let Zygons be Zygons" joke

The price is up and down all week. Not sure what to make of it It's been up and down, but it seems like a lot less than many other coins at the moment. I think we're seeing some overall drop in the crypto market (not just alts in other words) that is ahead of another big surge of new people coming into it. At that point we may see a temporary drop in the alt market as all the money from fiat first flows into Bitcoin, but then the alt market will explode -- and even if it doesn't, it's all priced directly or indirectly in BTC so the value of the alts will all rise even if they don't relative to BTC. That's my guess, anyway. Personally, I think a coin like SSD is a great vehicle to draw new people into crypto by hooking into an existing fan base who may not be familiar with it but will want SSD because it's about Doctor Who. This is one reason I really think the request for a Twitter tip bot in the OP is a really good idea -- LOTS of #DoctorWho fans on Twitter! Anyone who knows someone that can port an existing tipbot (like http://tipdoge.info/ for example) to support SSD should be reaching out to them. That is one fairly simple thing that could add a lot to the price of the coin by getting non-crypto Who fans into the fold who will create more demand for it!

You know, if I were going to be nit-picky Doctor Who fan (which maybe I am) I would say the send tab should be Dematerialize, the send button either the same or "Demat", the receive should be Materialize, and the "Time Vortex" anon feature should be called the Randomizer, just to make the right references to the show. (Although admittedly the Randomizer would only be familiar to people who've seen season 16-18 of the classic series). But then, if I'm kind of a ridiculous level of fan of the show and have been since I was a little kid so take that as you will. Edit: to be clear, I'm not complaining, just being an unavoidable nerd because it's Doctor Who.

Every time I buy a certain amount someone seems to dump almost the exact same amount. Explanations?
Maybe it's a plot by the Master? Slightly more plausible guess would be there's someone trying to sell some off but not affect the price. So rather than dump a huge amount on the exchange at once they're watching the buys and roughly matching them in hopes you'll keep buying them up...?
