341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think POLKADOT is still really undervalued on: February 19, 2021, 07:35:22 AM
I don't think so, DOT isn't undervalued for a new project, it's currently trading at 31$ and it's all time low was 2$, that's over 1000% gains already and it's working towards perfection, this isn't a pump and dump project where by you will see 2cent worth of a coin turning into 2000$ in juts few months of release
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Eth on Xbox Series X or Series S. on: February 18, 2021, 06:28:50 PM
its should be awesome if these console can mine eth its pretty decent hardware, and already activated amd smart memory,
while rx6800 can do 84 mhs on 256bit memory with more compute core, xbox should got decent number if dev can deploy some miner, and most likely it wont happen before they pass jailbreak and put homebrew to install linux

how can you squeeze 84 mhs out of rx6800 ? I have 6900xt in my main computer (primary fuction gaming, if not gaming then mining (most of time actually you dont play Smiley - first only for heating purposes but now it is more than just heating the room) and I get around 64mhs ... I do have 5800x and x570 mobo with smart access enabled ... am I missing something ? how can I get more mhs Smiley
Probably through intense overclocking? I have a rx6800xt here and I'm getting only 63MH out of the thing, I've tried every single downclocking and overclocking I knew but nothing more stable than this, it also has something to do with the memory of the rx6800xt, samsung memory performs better than hynix
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 Rig in Trouble on: February 18, 2021, 06:26:14 PM
Hello,

I have purchased 4x RX 580 cards one of them is RX 590 they are mining well individually each giving me 29+ Mh/s but when combined together they are working fine but whenever I run the miner it's crashes my computer and giving me the blue screen. I am super newbie to rig and mining so all help would be appreciated. I have just contacted a technical guy who have told me it's a settings issue and he also said this rig can not work on windows, I need Linux for that and charging me $250 for the setting on Linux. I never thought it could be that technical. I am pretty confused and spent all the money on the GFX.
I am also sharing screenshot please see to it and let me know if it helps!

Best Regards,

The technical guy isn't qualified or don't have experience about mining rigs, believe that, he said the setup won't run on windows and I'm running 8x RX580 8gb on windows 10 OS here with no issue at all, if your page file size if small the miner will crash, not every mining softwares warns people about page file size
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When to exit on: February 18, 2021, 06:23:39 PM
Gas fees are high, but..

EIP-1559 incoming,
Difficulty skyrocketing,
Ton of new asics coming in the spring,
POS 1-2 years away,
Warmer temperatures incoming,
2X investment by selling cards on ebay,

Timing is everything, this is what makes mining fun, like gambling.

Ill probably keep mining until spring.

Same here mate, even if bear attacks the market right now I've already make half of my invested money on graphic cards already, the rest won't be that hard will only take longer than expected, let's stop worrying about tomorrow and make good use of today, crypto mining is profitable today and that's all there is.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA is cutting the 3060's Hash Rate in Half & NEW Mining specific GPU's on: February 18, 2021, 06:21:32 PM
that means about 370,000    3080.s.   were added in 7 weeks.  so 7.1 x that = 2.62 million gpus a year. Just for mining.

could that be correct?

Due to the fact that every single computer-related community, even large sites like anandtech, tomshardware, etc. are talking about mining this means that every single 3xxx 68xx that is sold it is actually used for mining, let it be professional miners or gamers. Due to the hype and media cover, everybody knows about mining and everybody is mining. So yes, the vast majority of new hashrate is from 3xxx 68xx ... ASIC can't just come ouf of the blue ...
Nvidia are fully loaded already I guess that's why they have the gut to make such move, if no one is buying their gpu for any reasons and now they are selling big because of miners they won't be doing all this rubbish, even every hardcore gamers are now mining with their pc, I haven't play any pc game since mining becomes profitable, I don't blame them, let intel gpu become a thing maybe they will rethink again
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A stubborn RX580 on: February 14, 2021, 01:23:42 PM
I'm getting 28mh on a stubborn OCed RX580 with Micron memory inside, is there anyway around this without bios modding? Or what is the best active AMD miner out there can that boost my hashrate a bit more? 30mh is more than enough, I have 6 of these card and only once is not doing so well, it's MSI RX580 8gb micron memory, any help will be appreciated

Does it have a bios switch on it?  If it does shut down and switch it.  See if any better...if not save bios and mod it.
I bricked one of my RX580 when trying to bios mod, OP be very careful with this one, after I ruined a brand new gpu I started using my graphics card with factory settings and few tweaks using msi afterburner, the lowest I get on RX580 without bios mod is 29.9mh and that's roughly 30mh, it's enough for me
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Ethereum directly to Coinbase on: February 14, 2021, 01:19:06 PM
Hello Guys,

Did anybody try to mine Ethereum directly to Coinbase? Do you know if Coinbase accept mining payments from pools like Ethermine and Nanopool?
Not a good or smart move pal, coinbase is a centralized exchange and they are very strict I can tell, I'd rather mine coins directly into binance exchange wallet address than coinbase, It looks like you are trying to avoid high gas fee on Ethereum network?
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some 16000 usd but need to know investment portion on: February 14, 2021, 01:16:00 PM

i have done many jobs and hard earned 16000usd. If i invest on INJ , ETH, DOt or any other potential coin. What is the investment amount or ration that would you all recommended ?

1000$ or 3000$ or 100$ or any other amount?

We aren't the one to make this decision for you, the question I would like to ask you is are you ready to lose all the 16,000 USD? If no then how much are you willing to lose? You got a number? Then invest that exact amount on any altcoin you want, ETH, DOT or INJ are all good projects just make sure you invest with what you can afford to lose
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can driver affects miner performance? on: February 13, 2021, 02:21:05 PM
Drivers can make you get ridiculous hash rate and also drivers can improve miner stability, it's good to upgrade your driver either Nvidia or AMD to get the best out of latest mining softwares, though some old drivers can perform better than new, this have happened several times in the past
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help needed to speed things up on: February 13, 2021, 02:19:21 PM
Can you explain why interent connection would care about windows or linux?

Im intrigued why you think that matters.

As for speed no idea what update would slow you down...but then again i wouldnt pick windows for a critical job like mining.

For 1660 super what are your oc settings?
I'm guessing OP is talking about how to set up internet connection on OS like hiveOS or Minerstat OS, maybe he use wifi hotspot for mining only which will require installation of driver before OS can detect internet connection
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Whats the best coin to mine GPU other than Eth on: February 13, 2021, 02:17:03 PM
It's time to look into other coins because now all altcoins are pumping, there are old altcoin that have low marketcap too and they are up on their feet already thanks to the bull season for example bitcoin private this amazing yesterday, this coin was trading at 0.02$ before and today it's more that 0.50$
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH 1559 and 2.0: Update and Timelines on: February 12, 2021, 05:47:00 AM
Shocked

A11 is 8GB like a GPU
Increasing DAG won't keep some asic miners off, look at RX570 with 4gb, people still find ways around this cards to make 25mhs out of them when DAG is already over 4GB, solution could come for asic miners with 4GB memory.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 12, 2021, 05:42:12 AM
I believe it's kinda too late to start building mining rigs right now, even asic miners are skyrocketing in price, you can only get into crypto if you buy used cards and that's not advisable because used card can die on you at any time, a single RX580 8gb used to be around 170$ to 200$ in 2020 and now it's over 500$, for now look else where
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / T-Rex miner rocks on: February 12, 2021, 05:30:22 AM
T-Rex miner is awesome Grin, some times you really need to give different miners a try to see how they performs, I used to praise phoenix miner but something just pushed me to give T-Rex and trial because some are saying it's better and I wasn't disappointed, from 31MH to 31.868MHs, that's almost an extra 1 MHs, T-Rex miner rocks
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4x 1660 super or RTX3090 on: February 12, 2021, 05:27:29 AM
Both are good, if you are going for RTX3090 make sure you buy better brands with three fans and good thermal pads tweaks, you can watch youtube videos about best RTX3090 cards available on the market, I just find the 1660 Ti and super to be extremely quiet and cool

LOL if you pack 1660ti together they ain't cool no more and you can add the trouble of managing 4 pieces of them.

go for 3090..what is this bull market for?
It's not hard to manage 4 GPUs at all, I have 6x 1660 supers and they mine at 31mh each at 54°C per one, they are all Zotac brand with just two fans, try getting that temp on a RTX3090 and you will be the difference

My 3090's rarely see 60c.. That's air cooled wtih a fan...

So it takes 6 cards to pull in 186MH/s vs 1 x 3090 tuned can bring in 120MH/s... I'll stick with the single 3090's (although I have many more) in this scenario...

Not to mention the 1660 has a 100% power draw of 120W.... The 3090 draws 350w-375W....
It feels like you are the first or probably the only one I've seen that achieve 60°C on RTX3090, most are over 70°C when mining around the clock, congrats on that mate, about 1660 using 100% power draw that's your fault, if you have any 1660 super or even the To version you need to put the max power draw to 65% and lower cclock and memory clock to zero, this will boost hashrate to 31Mh @80 watts to 82 watts, this is confirmed and tested
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stay away from new POW coins on: February 11, 2021, 11:44:08 AM
What? Are people actually paying 350$ per month on electricity in some countries? That's a killer bill I would rather so build inverter and solar panels, in my country electricity costs around 15$ to 25$ per month

No, not for the electricity, but in order to be able to "work". In Spain, if you want to work as a freelance, or have a little business (and crypto mining is now considered little business by the tax agency) you have to pay this monthly bill of almost €300 (more than $350). You can always do it illegally, but the fines are quite high also.

Electricity and equipment are different expenses, not included in the one above.

I don't know any other country where this happens, but it is good to remember to check local laws before starting, just in case.
That's crazy honestly, what if my rig can only do 50$ per month will I have to pay 350$ every month? It doesn't make sense, the billing should be based on what miners are earning, I'm glad I'm not living in such country
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard announces support for crypto on its network on: February 11, 2021, 11:41:38 AM
Damn  Cheesy it seems this bull season will be around for a while longer, the adoption rate is just crazy this year and good news here and there is also helping big time, it's a big good news indeed and soon crypto will be widely accepted
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GPUs on Alibaba on: February 11, 2021, 11:40:07 AM
I recommend aliexpress, I've bought up to 9 graphics card from there and they are still working

1. Don't buy used cards on aliexpress, they might be faulty already probably that's why seller wants to sell

2. Make sure the seller have sold more than 10 pieces of the graphics card, this is another way of knowing that the seller is a true supplier

Delivery might be slow at times but you will surely get your package delivered, good luck
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Just a curiosity on: February 10, 2021, 06:09:21 PM
Miners aren't the ones driving Ethereum price I believe, if some miners got blocked today it won't affect the price and infact the remaining miners will start cashing out big time, the lesser the difficulty the higher the reward
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Do you also mine any of these coins? on: February 10, 2021, 06:05:41 PM
Guys in 2017 I mine these coins and since then I just keep their recovery seeds till date, I never went back to check and I don't even bother to follow their telegram groups, are they still running ? Did you also mine any of these coins?

1. Qwerty coin
2. Worktips
3. BBScoin
4. NiobioCash
5. Solace
6. Turtle coin
