343  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone else feel like Bitcoin is a safe investment? on: May 28, 2014, 08:31:47 AM
The question is not whether Bitcoin is a safe investment, but is Bitcoin an investment at all? In normal circumstances, a currency can never act as a form of investment.
Well bitcoin is a form of both an asset and a currency so yes it is an investment(financial) cause it appreciates in value.
344  Economy / Economics / Re: OverStock Reported $1.6 Millions in Bitcoin Sales - WOW on: May 28, 2014, 08:00:27 AM
I really like what overstock is doing for bitcoins, and this definitely more good news.I hope they continue supporting btc purchases for a long time.

I agree that this is pretty nice. What we need now is discounts. Give people a reason to buy Bitcoin to use there, rather than just the novelty of it. This would increase sales more and get more people using them.

Discounts could dramatically increase sells so i hope your reading this, overstock. Or buy one get one free(if you buy with bitcoins) or buy one and get the second one at half price.

348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wordpress.com just deleted the Willy Report, evidence of Mt. Gox fraud on: May 28, 2014, 06:11:44 AM
http://www.coinbuzz.com/2014/05/27/mt-gox-willy-bot-report-suspended-from-wordpress/

Was WordPress.com's decision justified? Is there something they are trying to hide?

A twist in the plot
To further confound us all, the WordPress account that hosted the Willy Report has been “archived or suspended” due to violations of Wordpress terms of service.

^^^The article doesn't say/speculate which "Terms of Service" were violated.
I wonder if the author will post it somewhere else soon?

The fact that they suspended the account is just dumb, i hope it gets posted somewhere else, blogspot. Maybe somebody from gox had something to do with this.

351  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus software? on: May 27, 2014, 02:40:26 PM
I use malwarebytes, but you should know malware can be "FUD". So i always use sysinternals process explorer to try and track down malware that cant be detected by the antivirus.
352  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info - so god damn unreliable. on: May 26, 2014, 05:18:31 PM
it's always frikin down and it shows cloudflare saying it can't connect to their host.

Sad Sad

Blockchain is always a target for ddos attacks and this isn't going to change for sometime, you can always stop using their services and download a wallet.
