341  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Taking Offers] Casascius Bearer Bar - Sealed in plastic wrap on: January 18, 2016, 10:08:16 PM
2 is pretty fair for the bar. I am just seeing if there is much demand for these. I think for 2 I would rather just keep it though.

I could possibly be flexible with that price. Let me know if you have a number in mind and we can go from there.
342  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: January 18, 2016, 11:05:45 AM
I used to try and time the market and it ended up driving me insane. Now I pay all of my bills, put some in savings as well as a "fun money" account. Whatever is left I purchase Bitcoin with. This seems to have worked the best out of any method I have tried. It sure beats the feeling when you buy a few thousand dollars worth of BTC and the price immediately tanks $20  Wink

I'd take it off your hands for 2BTC

For anyone who wants this method for free PM me. Don't give OP your business

Edit: OP accusing me of scamming because he's not going to get anymore more money from this thread. How sad

Thanks for enlightening me, it is greatly appreciated  Smiley

I figured it was something morally questionable... haha
345  Other / Archival / Re: ANACS Casascius Grade Populations (MS70s EVERYWHERE!) on: January 06, 2016, 09:38:31 PM
Just start resubmitting your coins to ANACS...bound to get some 70s that way. I have coins that got MS-67 last year and in 2013...I am sure they would get 69/70 now.

Anyone know of cryptos that received a ANACS PROOF (PF/PR) rating other than those few Titan gold coins from a while back?

I have only got HC / DCAM if any superlative has been added.

Proof is a method of manufacture. A coin is either a Business Strike (intended for circulation and designated with MS) or Proof (made for collectors and designated as PF). Once a Proof coin, always a Proof coin. Even a circulated Proof coin will have a PF grade.

Of course it is ...

So ... I have a titan gold, given a 69, but not designated as a proof ...

That's weird... You would think ANACS would either designate a certain coin as Business Strike or Proof and stick with it. Strange that they aren't consistent with the Titans.
346  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: January 02, 2016, 10:09:45 PM
Save money is easy for me, but i can't hold it for long time
After my saving reach 1-2btc, i get some prblem in my real life, then i sell my bitcoin..

That's really interesting as I had the same problem with my fiat savings before I started purchasing Bitcoin. I would see a certain amount in my savings account and then start thinking about all the ways I could spend it. Once I started purchasing Bitcoin I saw it as more of an investment and it fulfilled my need to buy things since technically I was "buying" Bitcoin. This investment in Bitcoin for better or for worse has drastically reduced my spending on unnecessary things.

356  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius Void Coin on: December 09, 2015, 07:09:18 AM
I'm glad you all like it! I think that the associated provenance is very unique, hard to let this special coin go!

PM's replied. I have just sent out a counter offer, this coin might be gone soon.
357  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius Void Coin on: December 08, 2015, 09:28:28 PM
Currently there are quite a few interested parties. I am thinking about putting this up for auction and starting at the current high bid of 5.1BTC shipped anywhere in the US. Would there be any interest in this or would you all like to continue privately bidding? Just putting the question out there for transparencies sake. Thanks  Smiley
358  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Void Coin on: December 08, 2015, 02:21:29 PM
Congrats on finding one eod!

But please put that coin in an airtite  Embarrassed it looks sad in a plastic bag lol.

The first thing I did was put it in an airtight after taking a picture of it. This only adds to my theory that most of the Void owners are not collectors.

The condition is pretty good though. I would estimate MS64-65.

All PM's have been replied to!
359  Economy / Collectibles / [SOLD] Casascius Void Coin on: December 08, 2015, 07:19:44 AM
I just received a Void Coin from Ben Bledsoe (https://twitter.com/benbledsoe) who helped produce The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin.

Ben received it directly from Mike himself and has included a sworn statement that he is the owner as well as that the coin was one of the Void Coins featured in the documentary. I also have his contact info and he would be willing to confirm his ownership of this coin with the buyer if the below documentation is not adequate.

All of the items in the photo below will be included. With all of the provenance included and the rarity of this coin I am asking: 5.5BTC Sold

This is your chance to own a very rare piece of Bitcoin history.

Feel free to post or PM any questions. Thanks  Smiley
