341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][888][SCRYPT] OctoCoin ◦ The Power of Eight ◦ Don't Blink ◦ May Hardfork on: June 28, 2014, 01:36:26 AM
A single user has been pushing 300Mhash on fedaykins pool for the past few days atleast. At this rate, he's getting over 40k octos per day :O. The asics are really going to "fuck shit up" when the dumping starts. I'm kind of worried about this.

Heh, I've spoken with this user, very nice guy. We exchanged a few emails while I was doing some more fine tuning to the pool's stratum.

I've been reading for nearly an hour now and as of this post I'm still 2 pages back! "Don't Blink" is definitely an apt slogan for this coin!

I read FusionHash's post about their multipool setup, internal exchange and all that.. Very, very exciting stuff! I offer you my sincerest congratulations on your pending launch, and wish you the best of luck! I must say, I'm just a teensy bit jealous, though. It's pretty close to the vision I've been having for a setup of my own, but the more I work on it, the further away it seems. I'm just one man Sad

After this post I'm going to continue to read up, I really try to stay current on the goings-on, but there's been so much going on behind the scenes it is difficult to stay in touch with the community. Its good to see everyone rallying behind the Octodevs, though. Like was mentioned, when I was in a horrible bind, they jumped right in and helped to bail me out, no questions asked. You don't find that kind of generosity around every corner nowadays.

I'm hoping within a couple of weeks I'll have something new to announce, its been difficult to make much progress lately, but that doesn't stop me. I'd really like to be able to have my own internal coin exchange system for an auto-exchange pool, but some of the obstacles in the way right now will either require me to throw a ton of money at them, or think my way through them. I have that little voice in the back of my mind saying "If you can't offer the best, don't offer at all." I tell him to stfu. What I've been doing, I don't do solely for profits, but for the community and in the interests of learning more, and to that end I can say its been an awesome ride so far, and I'm not getting off the train anytime soon.

Before I go, at some point today Octo-Chance will be down for a bit for some updates and system maint. I kinda assumed wrongly that it would be a popular game. More people are holding on to their Octos than I imagined. If that doesn't say anything about Octo being a real investment type of coin, I wouldn't know what would. If only more people would play, Octo-Chance would be a great way to invest your Octos, massive earning potential, but if nobody wants to gamble... lol

Anyway I'll finish reading the last 2 pages of posts, and as always, if anyone needs me you know how to summon me Wink

are you everyone disappeared?

Sorry, I'm usually "around" but busy alot of the time.. The site is up and running well, hope you're able to access it now!

I seeded the game wallet a bit, there's close to 1m BIRD in it now, so larger bets are possible. The bigger the house pot is, the larger the system will allow you to bet. Check it out guys, and spread the word!

Also, I saw a post on cryptocointalk, someone was talking about the blockchain being stuck when he deposited coins to xnigma. Anyone having the same problem? Actually it didn't occur to me til just now as I'm typing this, I don't even know if bird is still on xnigma.

Anyway, have fun guys! The game needs more investors and players!!
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRS]Denarius|Scrypt|Bittrex|Games|DGW3 Hardfork at Block 80K Update ASAP| on: June 27, 2014, 01:31:30 AM

http://denarius.fedaykin.us

Low 0.6% fee
Stratum: Vardiff and Fixed-diff ports ready!
Weekly pool fee prize!
Community-involved sysop who will take care of your needs.

The pool has been updated to the latest wallet, ready for the fork, and I've made some improvements on the backend. The old python-stratum-mining has been removed in favor of node-open-mining-portal (NOMP)'s stratum implementation. We now have vardiff running on port 3334 as usual and several other fixed-diff ports available. If you've had trouble with vardiff or high rejects, I highly recommend trying out fixed diff and compare your results! Now is the best time to get in, while the difficulty and fees are low!

Also, the time has come where I can start up doing giveaways again, all you have to do is mine one day out of the week (submit at least 24h worth of shares) and you'll be eligible for the drawing! Prize is 25% of the fees (TXFees included!) the pool has collected during the week. First week will be a bit of a bonus, we have a little extra in the pot already!

Completely investment driven - Investors receive 98% of ALL profits!
Provably fair - Set your own seed and validate your rolls independently.
Open source - Actively maintained and improved upon, link to source at bottom of site!

Its finally here people! I was going to test it some more now that it's been moved to its home and updated... but I spaced out and forgot to get more coins to test with >.<;

I'm pretty confident that there's no more issues, but if there are, just let me know (PM me so I see it sooner), and I'll fix it ASAP. If you're brave enough to attempt the max withdraw of 10m, let me know how it works (if anything goes wrong I can always go back in and manually resend). If there's problems I'll lower the max w/d amount. Lots of attention went in to making this as foolproof as possible, so hopefully there's nothing anyone can do to break it :b

Have fun and I'm so sorry its taken so long, I've been promising a game for months. Here you go!
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRS]Denarius|Scrypt|Bittrex|Games|The Coin From The Past For The Future| on: June 22, 2014, 11:29:51 AM
btw there are only 610,310 Denarius coins out there... the value is still incredible low
That's true. But a lot of people look at the max coins: 46000000 (46Million). That's very high, so potential high inflation.

It could very well be that the high inflation is keeping price down. Although it takes years to reach 46m coins it still imo affects price heavily.
How about doing a fork that limits coins to 1m and going POS with 5% yearly interest, or something similar.

Sounds interesting, though I don't think that's in the plans. There's been a lot of effort to get some businesses to accept DRS as a payment method. When that happens I have a feeling its going to be in high demand again.

I wake up and the first thing I see when I switch on my screen and refresh the page is some really delicious looking jerky. I cannot buy this with Octos? DO WANT.

As for the pool, I'm going to let our awesome hashrate speak for itself and assume that my upgrades have been satisfactory! We are kicking some ass today!

Now that I'm caught up on sleep, and nearly caught up on work, time to get more useful stuff done.. I swear, the last couple days have been nearly a complete turnaround from the usual cruddy luck I've been having.

Thanks for the continued pool support everyone!
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-LAUNCH] BirdCoin | Scrypt | Bitcoind | 3 Exchanges! | Fast transactions on: June 21, 2014, 04:13:52 AM
I'm sure I've missed a couple of pages of posts.. Need to read back some. I've been busy working on things and life hasn't been cutting me any breaks lately. Don't remember if I already mentioned it, my city got hit by the worst hailstorm I've ever seen in my life, destroyed our car and messed up our house. Bigger than softballs, and painful.

Anyway, I keep running into roadblocks trying to get a game up and running, finally got some bugs fixed in it, though. Ran into a nasty issue where it would return a perfectly valid address as invalid due to a problem with a crypto address validation node module, thereby making it impossible to withdraw. Almost ready now, just need to move it off my test server to where its going to live its life, and I'll let you guys go nuts with it. Since the Bird wallet still has a few issues, alot of attention was focused on making the game as foolproof as possible, protecting users from themselves and preventing errors and stuck transactions.

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][888][SCRYPT] OctoCoin ◦ The Power of Eight ◦ Don't Blink ◦ May Hardfork on: June 21, 2014, 03:40:10 AM
I've missed a few pages of posts, need to do some back reading.. Hopefully I haven't missed anything urgent. You guys can always PM me if something comes up that I need to know! Been pretty busy with various projects, as well as making improvements to my existing pools, and trying to make the Octocoin pool more competitive to attract more hashes Smiley

Changed up some stuff on the pool, as I've had some complaints about vardiff giving some people's hardware a hard time. First tried lowering max vardiff settings, that didn't work out very well, so we've made the switch to NOMP for the stratum. Took me a while to get my head around it since I haven't used it in this way, but now that I've gotten it up and running, I think its going to make things a lot smoother. I've set up vardiff on the usual port, and have a few other ports set at fixed difficulties for those that have problems when vardiff locks them in at a high setting.
3333-3334: VARDIFF - 16-1024
3335: Fixed - 16
3336: Fixed - 256
3337: Fixed - 512
3338: Fixed - 1024

I'm hoping this covers all use cases, but if anyone has any issues just let me know and I'll go back and tweak. The drive to constantly improve upon things never stops, so always open to any suggestions!

At some point in the next day or so, Octo-Chance will have a few minutes of downtime for updates and a couple of small bugfixes. If anyone's had trouble withdrawing, that'll be fixed, but as far as I'm aware there haven't been issues with Octocoin. There's a bug with the address validation code that sometimes fails valid addresses, getting that changed over to use the wallet for validation.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRS]Denarius|Scrypt|Bittrex|Games|The Coin From The Past For The Future| on: June 20, 2014, 05:07:04 AM
The Hi/Lo game at http://denariuschance.fedaykin.us has been updated, withdrawal problems are fixed. There is a problem with the node.js module that independently validates cryptocoin addresses, works fine with most but wouldn't recognize Denarius addresses. This was patched to use the coin daemon to validate addresses.

The pool at http://denarius.fedaykin.us has had some slight tweaks to the vardiff settings, as well as adjustments to the number of blocks used to average the expected amount of shares in an effort to smooth out some of those crazy rounds. Not too sure how much good it's going to do, even with a steady hashrate, difficulty is all over the place.

I've had a few people email me about their mining rewards from Denarius. With diff jumping all over the place, it's near impossible to trust the estimation provided by the pool's information page. But, the good news is, since I fine tuned vardiff a little better, your displayed hashrate in the pool should be spot on, mine's almost to the exact number. Please keep an eye on your miners from time to time, if you're having problems or getting an unreasonable amount of stales, please notify me. It's likely that we'll be switching stratum to node-stratum-pool, when/if that happens, we'll have several different ports to connect to with custom diffs for each, as well as a global vardiff port. The old python stratum-mining just doesn't cut it anymore, and node is easier to set up anyway.

I may not be very active in the community these days, its because I'm always busy behind the scenes! Just so we can get a few less stales I probably spent a good 12 hours googling around and reading up on stratum, lol.

As far as daily rewards go, difficulty is fluctuating like mad, and it seems the network hashrate is jumping around between 1.5-2gh.  With the likely scenario being a multipool rape-type situation, we may need some further tweaks to KGW. A few blocks worth of diff jumps, 15, 22, 38, 7, 5 ,5, and so forth. All within a few minutes window. Problem is, there's a fine line there that could ruin our fun, make diff too lax and multipools will stay on it, eventually killing the lovely price.. Too aggressive, and even though the multipools will jump in and out of the fray every little bit, it ruins mining for everyone else. My 2MH isn't making CRAP! lol

Its nice that this coin has blown up like this, I'm right proud! If any of you guys feel like donating any spare DRS, please do! My efforts behind the scenes are exhausting and for the most part, unfruitful. That, and last Thursday, my city got hit by the craziest hailstorm I've ever seen in my 34 years. Lots of houses torn up, anything made of glass is broken. Car dealerships are going out of business from the obscene amount of damage, meanwhile glass companies and roofers are getting zero sleep and fat paid. Our car, trashed beyond belief, with a $1000 deductible! If you've got a sec, check out the carnage, my car is in there somewhere: http://www.ktxs.com/news/gallery-heavy-rain-and-large-hail-sweep-through-abilene-big-country-79-photos/26469932

I've come across so much stuff in my nightly github raids (I just SCOUR people's githubs for anything of any interest), I found a seemingly abandoned mobile game app that may have some potential to be used in some fashion with DRS. I've been having some really crazy ideas lately, as if I have the time to pull anything off. What I need is a month's supply of cheezburgers, Dr. Pepper, and Ritalin, a comfy chair, and undisturbed computer time, lol. If I can ever get to where expenses aren't exceeding what I can just barely pull out of my ass, I really need to hire some help! As it is I'm extremely overextended, heavily involved in a couple of coins (DRS included), and want more than anything to help everyone who needs help with stuff, kinda in over my head at the moment, working on digging out.

350  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Coinium - C# based open-source pool software [.net & mono] on: June 19, 2014, 10:49:48 PM
I've been keeping an eye on Coinium. I'm in the process of developing a gameplan to set up a multipool type of thing, with some select auto-exchanged POS coins available for users. As far as multipool software that supports auto-exchange, there's nothing ready made that I can use, so I've been digging and digging everywhere I can for code snippets or other stuff I can adapt to something like NOMP. I've actually ran across quite a bit of very interesting stuff, but most everything I come across is done with programming languages I'm less than familiar with, so it presents a rather large obstacle. Since I ran across Coinium I've been pretty excited to see it with all its planned features implemented. I haven't actually tried out a build of it yet, but was wondering how feature-complete it is so far? Any idea how far off it is from being ready for running a live pool, and are/will the switching and autoexchange features be usable when its ready for live testing, or will those features be held off until the rest of the project has matured further?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get an idea of what, if anything, I can do with Coinium at the moment. Also, I really like the frontend on the coinium.org pool website. Will that be a feature in CoiniumServ or is it a custom, proprietary frontend? I'd like to get my hands on that :b

There's a ton of multipools out there, some of the biggest and oldest, if I'm not mistaken, are pretty much 100% custom. Unfortunately, for a lone entrepreneur like me, hiring a dev team is out of the question, and I just don't have the time or enough experience in the most useful programming languages for this kind of project. Its nice to see a project taking shape that doesn't seem to be having any features deliberately held back or put aside for a "premium" version.

Thanks for reading and please, if you have any information for me, if you wouldn't mind sending me a quick PM to check the thread, I would greatly appreciate it.

just rented a couple rigs for your pool fedaykin, enjoy the hash for the next 18 hours or so Smiley

Sweet deal man, I appreciate it!

We're at 68MH now! Yay!

Hadn't looked at the pool until just now. Woke up with a benadryl hangover and its taken about 4 hours to shake it off, so time for work...

I forgot to mention Octo-Chance. Someone, or maybe plural, has made some large investments! That's awesome, because the more invested, it allows for higher maximum bets! More updates to the game's software are on their way, mostly feature enhancements and some tweaks, and some graphical spiffing-up later on once it's "finished". It doesn't really look like much right now, but form follows function and it's pretty darn functional, lots of attention has been paid to stability and bookkeeping reliability. Play and invest with confidence!

I don't remember if I explained the invest/divest scheme already, so I'll give a brief rundown. It's proportional, say Bob invests 5k, and John invests 5k, making the total amount invested 10k, Bob and John each own 50% of the profits (and a tiny portion to the house, I think .1%, will double check). Absolutely no commitment, you may divest and withdraw anytime you wish. I didn't set this up with the notion of getting rich off of it, but it wouldn't kill me to make a few bucks, lol. I think I only have 200 Octos invested, but our total as of now is over 27k! That makes way for the high rollers to come try their luck!

When it gains more popularity I'd like to incorporate a faucet as well, to give people a chance to try it out for free.

Hashrate and price climbing  Wink

Very nice indeed! It's been a couple of days since I looked in on the net hashrate, over 500MH! My pool is getting lonely, though... Not sure if people have lost the faith or if it's simply more profitable to mine elsewhere, but whatever the case may be, I'm lowering pool fees to 0.2% for the next few weeks. As always, if anyone has any issues, I'm only an email or PM away and always put forth my best effort to resolve situations as promptly as possible.

Seems like I never run out of tales of woe for you guys, this week has been right at the top of the list...

One of my last few posts contained some bitching and moaning about Murphy's Law. I've decided instead of fighting it, I'll try embracing it... If ya can't beat em, join em, right? Nope, screw that, because I'm typing this post for the second time, Murphy ate my first attempt. The latest Firefox is horrible for me, for some reason.

Anyway, I try to be as active as possible in the community, the last few weeks, though, have been an endless slogging from one problem to the next, while occasionally getting some actual work done. Thankfully, my pool pretty much runs itself without daily manual intervention.. As for some of my other stuff, not so much, but it's to be expected. Lack of sleep and constant frustration are starting to feel "normal" to me now, and I'm going to have to learn to co-exist with Murphy's Law at some point, but my lack of progress on my most important projects is really starting to get depressing, and, as I'll explain in a minute, I may soon be facing choosing between finding the first low wage, crappy 9-5 job available and give up (or severly postpone) some of my long term goals, or just go all in, balls to the wall, and hope for the best (and devine intervention).

I'm used to having bad luck, it's just a part of being me. Something about me makes things break down constantly without me even touching them, lol. I'm not even joking. Cars are the worst for me, nothing but trouble. Computers generally behave for the most part, but I can count on having time consuming problems when I need to get something done urgently. I've become adept at fixing pretty much anything now. Anyway, before I start rambling too much, I've got a story for you guys. Thursday I woke up feeling good, ready to get some actual work done and be on top of the world. I guess that was the wrong attitude to have, and mother nature quickly set me straight. Had a bit of running around to do that day, took my sis to a dr appointment, after I picked her back up and took her home, I ran across town to grab a few PC odds and ends. As I was getting ready to head back home, it started getting dark and cloudy, extremely quickly. One minute, it's calm, after about a block, it's raining so hard you can't see 10 feet in front of you, and then the softball size hail started falling. Now, I've lived in west TX most of my life and did stints in Kansas and Nebraska, so I know how quickly weather can change, and how severe it can get, but what happened Thursday, I have never in my lifetime seen anything like it. Before I could make it a couple of blocks to the nearest place to shelter our car, it was destroyed. The back window actually has several perfectly round holes where the hailstones just went straight through. The windshield, thanks to safety glass, didn't give way completely, but every millimeter is shattered, and every inch of the rest of the car besides the plastic fenders and bumpers is battered beyond belief. The area of Abilene I live in, the north central part of town, got it the worst. 9 out of 10 cars have major glass damage and are beaten to hell. Body shops, glass shops, and roofers are completely swamped with work (the only silver lining for anyone). Most of the police vehicles have been destroyed (fine by me, APD is awful), they're having to get by with unmarked vehicles with no computers or radio, lol. Now I have no idea what to do, even if they don't total our car out, the deductible might as well be 5 million dollars, we barely managed the bills and I had to scrape to keep the servers on, since my aunt relieved me of my credit card for her all-important crack habit, or whatever she's smoking these days. So I'm just kinda stuck right now, not sure what to do next. One thing I will say for sure is that my existing pools aren't going anywhere, no matter what. I'm finally able to donate plasma again so that will be covering my operating costs for the most part (it was my plasma card that was stolen, ordered a new one but didn't catch it in time to stop her from emptying my account, never again). I'm ready for summer to be over, right now. As soon as the weather warmed up, every day is some new and annoying, or costly, fiasco. And the saddest part, I'm whining about it here. I realize its petty, and pretty much all of west central TX has been screwed by the storm, but I'm just starting to take it personally. I remember my dad explaining Murphy's Law to me when I was about 4 years old, and it has had a major influence on my life perspective ever since. I can't stand to watch or read the news anymore, I stay as far away from political discussion as possible, I can't bear to watch as this world we live in crumbles around us and mankind struggles to survive, because there's nothing I can do about it. I can't even get a foothold on my own personal obstacles, much less contribute in any meaningful way aside from spreading goodwill and applying my talents. Just helpless. Anyway, the big hail disaster made it to more than just the local news, so I'm sure some of you have probably heard.. If you have a second, check out the following link, I'll be willing to bet most of you have never seen destruction like this. In one of the photos, the biggest and weirdest hailstone, being held by a girl with a tattoo on her wrist, that's my sister (pic #41) http://www.ktxs.com/news/gallery-heavy-rain-and-large-hail-sweep-through-abilene-big-country-79-photos/26469932

I think our Octocoin spokesperson is in Austin, if so, were you affected by the weather too? Anyone else here in Texas? We've had quite a few strong storms lately, but this one was one of those freak storms that just seemed to come out of nowhere, fast, and they're going to be getting worse.. Hello global warming! I don't know how we're going to get by without a car, it wouldn't be so bad if our public transit system here in Abilene wasn't absolutely worthless. I guess things could be worse.

Anyways, if you're still reading, thanks for taking the time to step into my world for a minute. This community is one of the very few things in my life where I feel I actually belong, and I'll always do whatever it takes to make sure Edric is a name you think of fondly. As I've said before, though I may not be running the most cutting edge, high class, or multimillion dollar corporation backed services, I try to make up for it by providing a high standard of personal service and do my best to build the trust and confidence of the community. I've made it this far, with many bumps in the road, and learned a great deal of lessons along the way. So far, the pools do not provide very much income, not like you'd think, but I really enjoy it, and my presence in the community and experiences so far has opened the door to other opportunities as well, lots of little odd jobs for people here and there, which is really awesome and enjoyable. I really love helping people, but find myself stretched thin alot of times, plus I get distracted easily (they don't feed me ritalin since I grew up).

A little news on my multipool project... Not much, really. The good news is that I've found a VPS host that offers 6GB RAM for unbelievably, insanely low monthly price, and though their TOS is EXTREMELY strict about what you can do with it, though, and *coin services are strictly prohibited, as well as any other stuff that attracts DDoS and hacking attacks, they're going to let me skirt the rules a bit and allow me to get some of my infrastructure in place there, something that would be too costly with DigitalOcean. The frontend and guts will be on a digitalocean node, though. The entire "profit switching and auto exchange" bit is probably going to have to wait a while. I've explored a few options, most of them involving learning programming languages I have zero experience with yet, though I have run across some promising looking stuff, I've got to figure out what to do with it. I have no experience with ruby, just getting my feet wet with node.js, and just don't know enough PHP yet to write it up from scratch. I've talked about doing it with LiveCode a few posts back, which is actually do-able, but LiveCode isn't best suited for this kind of application despite its enormous versatility. Any of you guys know what LiveCode is, or have ever used it, or old school Hypercard, Supercard, or metacard? Seems like one of those things that kinda gets ignored, despite being extremely useful, and as of recently, free. I love free. Anyway, back to the multipool.. I don't want to be part of the "multipool problem", yet still have one to offer you guys. There won't be a big selection of scrypt coins, but Octo will be one of them, though I'm likely going to leave that one out of the profit switcher. When we get some kind of auto exchange system going on, Octo will definitely be on the payout menu, with a few select others, geared not to the pump n dump crowd but for those who are investing themselves in whatever they choose to hang on to. My main 888 pool will stay open regardless. So, that's about it for now, if you're still with me I'd be grateful for some PM's with suggestions on what to offer and how best not to screw up the economy by contributing to the multipool rape of popular coins. I'm not extremely far away from having a "vanilla" version ready to go (no auto exchange, etc), but this service is for you guys, not me, so I need more input on what people want.

Ok, that's it for now. If you've read all of this, thanks!!! I appreciate everyone's support, trust, and encouragement you've shown me so far, I hope to always be a part of this community. With the network hashrate as high as it is now, and with my pool's hashrate dismally low, I'm cutting fees down to 0.2%, going to better fine-tune transaction fees (so they're not eating me up, but not eating you up too), and hopefully get a fresh infusion of hashes! As always, when you mine at my pool, you also have my personal support, should you need it, for any issues you may have.

355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / [Doge] Such Chance! Much gamble, many invest! Hi/Lo Game - Investments - Opensrc on: June 12, 2014, 08:49:04 AM
Hey guys, after much testing, poking, and prodding, the software that runs my new game, Such-Chance, is finally ready!

Such-Chance is a Hi/Lo type game, but what sets it apart from the rest of the crowd is that it's fully open source! The entire engine runs on investments as well, so the more invested, the more you can bet! I'll come back later on and spruce up this thread a bit, just wanted to put this out there for now!

1% House edge, and it is provably fair, you can even set your own seed if you wish.

Come try it out at http://such-chance.fedaykin.us

Edit: Might as well explain the investment scheme.. It's pretty simple, you deposit some doge (please take the time to set up a username and password), after it shows up in your account, go to the Invest tab, enter the amount you wish to invest, and click "Invest". The reverse with Divesting. The percentage of your investment vs. the entire invested amount is your profit percentage.

An example as follows: Bob invests 5k, John invests 5k. Total investments are 10k, with Bob earning 50% and Tom earning 50% of the profits.

Well holy shit..

I get home today and find the pool is in full on meltdown mode.. I'm just beginning to investigate but its the dreaded "block has no share_ID" error, so this is going to suck.

Hopefully we'll be back up and running within 20-30 mins.

Just Informing that Edrics DRS pool has been Fixed and is back up & Running.

Weird, I could have sworn I posted back that its fixed..

Thanks buddy!

Anyway, pool is all good! For a week or so the fees are going down to 0.5% in an effort to bring in some more miners! Never been a better time to get in and get yer DRS!

Finally got max payout limits implemented into the game I'm getting ready to deploy, so that takes care of "protecting users from themselves" Smiley
Just didn't want to have tons of large, and failed, transactions. I'll get to setting it up tomorrow and doing some testing.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, one of my CC's got stolen, the rest of my actual money went to keeping the servers paid for >.<;
Thanks guys!

Oh... When I get the game up and running I'll need a couple of people to help with some testing before I actually proclaim it open for business, just to be safe, so if anyone would like to volunteer....  If anything goes wrong, coins won't get lost or anything, just want to make sure there's no bugs with max limits.

i could do some tests

Cool, thanks Smiley

I'll let ya know when it's ready. Gonna try to get some sleep while its early, staying up til 8-9am then sleeping is getting to me.

Can we please quit dumping such large amounts of Birdcoin on the BRD/LTC sell wall at one time. This is limiting the effect of the pump fund and our chances of attracting newbies when the prices stay flat. For Bird to succeed we need to have patience while the infrastructure is being developed; we have made a lot of progress in the last few weeks.

 - New Exchanges (more to come)
 - New Faucets
 - Added to www.cryptonator.com
 - Mac Wallet

Sorry, for the outburst.

A special thanks to ciocgun, edric, sorryforthat and the community for all your hard work.

No need to apologize, definitely gets frustrating when your efforts get negated.

For now I'm pulling back on selling any more Birdcoin, didn't do too bad during the pump, was buying up people's dumps and putting it back up for more, but I see I'm not the only one that had that idea and at 2-3 it's getting pretty crowded. I'm not so good at the whole coin market thing anyway, so I normally just stay out of it for the most part, and don't want to ruin anything for others.

I'm more comfortable on the dev end of things, and still learning too, so this is one big school (and playground!?) for me.

When I first saw Birdcoin, I don't know what it was really, but something told me to pick this one up, and stick with it. Boy, were things shitty at first.. The linux wallet didn't even run, my pool was running off a wallet on my home PC for a while, lol. Even the xnigma admin scoffed at me (at first), when I emailed him asking to be added there. But look at us now. Not too bad!

Bird has and will always have my support, and that's gotta count for something :b

How long will people dump for a price like this?

It's private multipools mining 888 and auto-dumping for BTC - we've been dealing with the same situation for a while with Murraycoin. There is no strategy - they just sell to the top bidders no matter what. If there isn't enough buy support, the price just slowly dwindles down. The good news is that it can recover rapidly as there is virtually zero downward pressure on many of these quality alts. If FusionHash can get their X11 multipools up soon it would quickly reverse the trend. At sub-10 BTC daily volume, you will not see an accurate representation of an altcoin's value. *edit: also realized the block reward drops by over 50% in about a week - this will really cut down on the auto-dumps.

See, if I can ever get my multipool situation off the ground, its things like this I want to avoid. I'm still working on a gameplan but the amount of distractions, detours, and interventions by Murphy's Law have been completely ridiculous.

@Thenotfatguy - Sent you that bounty I owe ya Wink
Sorry it took so long, pumping coins back into my own pool plus having to reformat my mining rig's screwy usb stick every other day is getting tedious!

edit: at least one of my detours involved a close encounter with a female kind.
