342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 9 principles in Bitcoin on: January 12, 2013, 11:41:21 PM
I wouldn't necessarily call the first principle scarcity since they aren't exactly rare. I would find another term to describe the set amount.

Anarchy probably isn't a good term for promoting BitCoin to the common consumer. We want it to gain credibility, not infamy Wink
343  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Payment Not Delivered by "R-" for Work Rendered on: January 12, 2013, 08:57:41 PM
I would like to pay back Mushroomized. Allow me to apologize for not paying you in the first place.

I will contact Maged to help me through the process.

What.. process are you talking about?
The process of finding the "Send Coins" button in the interface.

That shit is hard, man. Troubled me at first too. This board really should have a support group for people who have trouble with it.
344  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Petition/SIX Interbank Clearing: Include a symbol for Bitcoin in ISO 4217 on: January 12, 2013, 08:52:02 PM
Are there even 100,000 bitcoiners out there?

My thought exactly.

I am not aware where they live and if I do
I might as well rape them. So I keep my services
for online only.

Quite immature with other forum members - swearing and calling names on many posts.

If he's only 13, there is no way anyone will see their BTC again, since you will be legally giving it to him.

Seems legit to me. Why shouldn't I trust ALL CAPS? Tongue
346  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Assortment of bank notes and coins on: January 11, 2013, 09:17:22 PM
$2 bill arrived today, 1 day early, condition was as advertised, would buy from again.
Thanks!

Glad you like it! Smiley
347  Economy / Economics / Re: Why a fixed aggregate makes sense on: January 11, 2013, 05:38:38 AM
Not oversimplified at all: simply a very well put post. One of the best I've read on here.

The strongest feature of BTC, to me, is that the amount is set in stone and will not increase. It gives an appropriate, finite, and permanent calculation of the amount of currency currently in circulation and in the future.

However, the value of BTC will change over the years, and the definitive nature of the amount of BTC gives the value more meaning for businesses and individuals alike; we can all have an appropriate perspective of value and wealth based on the total number of BTC and it's value. I think this adds a lot to the security of BTC, as long as it continues to grow and gain in user adoption.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deciding whether to use my coins or hoard them... on: January 11, 2013, 05:24:14 AM
I get where you're coming from. I'm honestly not sure what to do with a good amount of my coins either. Hoarding is an especially attractive option at the moment since prices are rising, but I think doing business with BitCoin promotes even further growth. I'm thinking of splitting my BTC in half within the next couple of days; half will go in an online wallet to hoard, and the other half I'll use for purchases or business opportunities to help increase the Bitconomy Wink

Can Torac still reply to PMs now that he's been banned?
350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are you here? on: January 11, 2013, 04:14:33 AM
Selling a few things to fellow BitCoiners, learning more about BitCoin and the BitCoin economy, getting some ideas, etc.. I lurk around for the most part Wink

I hope you find a buyer for this! Seeing a car sell for BitCoin will be very cool Smiley
352  Economy / Services / Re: Curse/Blessing on: January 10, 2013, 03:24:31 AM
Please don't troll this thread. Muddying the waters to distract attention from the real effects of the curse is basically commiting an act of fraud and I will ask the moderators to ban you from this thread if you insist on doing so.

Muddy waters is also an effect of my coven curse.

21after2, you are banned from this thread.

21after2, if you post in this thread again you will be reported to a moderator.

We're using a rather loose definition of the term "banned" here, aren't we?
353  Economy / Economics / Re: US Gov may mint a 1 Trillion dollar coin out of thin air - Hiperinflation? on: January 10, 2013, 02:09:40 AM
I think the $1 Trillion coin is more of a bargaining chip at this point. Or, perhaps more accurately, a threat. "Work with me or I swear to God I'll mint this coin!"
354  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Assortment of bank notes and coins on: January 09, 2013, 11:59:18 PM

I may be interested in the $2 USD Red Seal 1928 Series D*. Price?

I'd really rather sell the notes as a lot. If I took it out to sell individually, I guess I'd price it at BTC1.

Shipped for BTC1.0? I'm in the US.

Depends on how much the shipping is, but that price would probably cover shipping as well.
