341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 09, 2019, 03:29:15 PM
Things why a person can easily get scammed in crypto-world

1. Greed
2. No knowledge about the project
3. Trust

This are the three main reason why they get easily scam
Greed, because there are a lot of promise by the campaign and the developer we easily believe that its true
investing a lot of money in the project that is garbage.
No knowledge also is the second reason because of the trend they just go and invest without any knowledge of the said project
Trust because they trust the people in the project which sometimes pretends that the person is a member of the project
they can easily decieved that once they invest , they will soon find out that the person is just impersonating , and not really
what all expected.

Indeed, people really need to understand the concept of "too good to be true" in working in this industry. In every industry, there are always people that will try to deceive you. So, equipping yourself with knowledge helps a lot to keep you safe from those people. Read and study, this industry is so dynamic that every day is different. Be familiar and learn how to read the whitepaper so you will be wise when you decide to invest.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not advance as a bounty hunter? on: October 09, 2019, 02:48:04 PM
Some people have been bounty hunters for a long time (e.g, for the past 2 or3 years) and till now, they are still on the act of hunting for more altcoins.
It is true that the reward hunters now get is so small compared to what was obtainable 2 to 3 years ago and not only that, it now takes more time to be paid than it was. So, instead of complaining, why not through some of the experience you have got, since your sojourn in the crypto space, explore other means through which you can earn more and fill your portfolio.

N.B:
This might be like  a vital information. There are lots of projects that did bounty campaigns (although not all), which have decided to extent the time of payment of tokens to their bounty participants. Whose tokens are growing tremendously after listing on exchange. Which means that traders and investors of projects like these get their profits before bounty hunters are paid.

DISCLAIMER:: Although, this is not an investment advice, but an observation, which i have decided to call your attention to.

The income that bounty hunters get indeed decreasing compare to the economic situation two years ago and it is becoming difficult to find projects that it worth the time and effort. There is very limited to do unless you save up the money you earn from the bounty. If we can be wise with the profits we gain (even the small ones, that is a great amount if summed up), we can venture to the activities in the industry that need high capital like investing and trading.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: October 07, 2019, 06:50:54 PM
A lot of discussions on forum are all about "what coin should I buy? Why?"
Here's the opposite - I want to ask what alts you would never buy and why so.

My example:
Never buy BTT, Tron, Stellar and other coins where the tokens are giving away with all kinds of airdrops. Why? Emission grows with no influx of investors.
Doubting about Peercoin. Hybrid emission system doesn't seem reliable too, though lately PPC began spreading itself via well-known exchanges (changheangel or changelly - don't remember).
+ Libra. Not sure if any explanation needed.

Yup, there are really lots of altcoins that won't make any profitable margin so better stay away especially from those with suspicious activities even the advertising ones. In this industry, every "promo" could be too good to be true so always be careful. Read and confirm first everything you saw online and then decide as wisely as possible so you won't be a victim of those scam projects.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing new. on: October 07, 2019, 05:50:16 PM
Today in crypto, Tokens, wallets, exchanges, and even DEX is easily done.  What would it take impress you nowadays?

Advertisements of new projects can caught my attention but what can impress me is that if that new projects made it survive through the next months after its released. Here in this industry, the competition is too chaotic so I will be glad to see a project that can make on its own. Other things that can impress me in this industry is when the prices went again.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: October 07, 2019, 05:21:50 PM
Crypto has been around for over a decade at this point. The secure digital currency has many perks, but it seems that it is still not being utilized to its fullest potential.

Some purchase crypto for long term investment, while others have become daily traders. Both of these methods are uses for the digital currency, but they are not the sole purpose.

Many cryptocurrencies have been developed to solve a problem. For instance, Bitcoin solved the double-spending problem, while Ethereum was created to assists developers build blockchain applications.

Both of these examples would be considered the prime use case of the currency, but it seems that many are only interested in the gain rather than the use.

It is difficult to predict if the true value of blockchain technology will be relevant in the future and expand beyond trading.

What are your thoughts, and how do you use crypto?

I use crypto mainly for either trade or some few gambling dice games. Though I dreamed that one day I could afford a long term investment. I am nervous to make one because I might lose it or the project might end poorly just like what is happening to most alts. I am also fond of the news that crypto now has been used in many other industries like casinos, hotels and tour agencies.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: October 07, 2019, 04:20:48 PM
My first thought was to put it in to Altcoins, Like
Ethereum
RSR
Theta
EOS

These would be my picks 100% Which coin would you leave out or add to that?

I would add BTC on the list being on top and everything. I would also look up at other alts on the ranking like the one in coinmarketcap. Though it will be difficult for me to pick because there are a lot of things to reconsider especially that the holiday season is near. Anything could happen tomorrow so I would hope for the best in that hypothetical investment. There are a lot of alts to choose from so be wise and careful in you investment.
347  Other / Serious discussion / Re: It's hard to know who to believe. on: October 07, 2019, 03:43:51 PM
The western world says that the world is warming, and we will all be drowned or cooked in a few years. China says we are about to enter a period of global cooling, and we should prepare for that. China has been forecasting climate change for thousands of years, so we should at least consider their opinion.

The fundamentals of Bitcoin are really strong in the opinion of many people, but others seem to think that it has fallen out of favour, and new regulations will cause a continuance of a drop in its value. I think they may both be right, with a short term drop in price, followed by a new bull run.

The climate change natzis are trying to force through legislation to reduce carbon emissions, but many research scientists seem to be of the opinion that we are in a period of carbon famine, and this is causing desertification.

Statins have been the most profitable of all the manufactured pharmaceuticals, but the side effects seem to far outweigh the very limited benefit to health. All of the raw research data is held by Oxford University, and they are refuse to allow it to be released for public evaluation.

Don't even start me on fractional reserve banking, non-government creation of fiat currencies, derivatives and all the other banking schemes.

What we really need is the release of factual and well researched objective reports, that are not promoting commercial interests, but there isn't much chance of that is there?

China is the last country that I would ask updates about climate change. Their country is one of the top carbon emissions and that is seen by the growing number of factories. It's not just China though; a lot of other countries that are and being urbanized have the largest contribution on the air pollution.
Global warming is real; climate change is REAL. As a Southeast Asian, I observed and experience that typhoons are getting stronger and their occurrences are increasing through the years.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 07, 2019, 03:03:14 PM
Over 850 millions of people use alipay as means of payment mostly in china and i heard lots about wepay as well, i come to think of it that what if bitcoin was been used in their places instead? if alipay and wepay can get to where they are today then altcoins have all the chances of survival as well. Wepay and Alipay are just online payment solution, crypto can do better.

Real use cases plus real life working products, let these two be your main focus when picking altcoins to invest your money on, do not listen to those saying 'dump altcoins for bitcoin' when you are holding solid altcoins

Bitcoin is the most popular and in demand among all cryptocurrency but I think it cannot single-handedly meet all the demand for crypto. Bitcoin has a bright future ahead and it does not need the alts the way alts need Bitcoin but why limit it to only one coin? People have different preferences to which coin they like more to use and which among them they think is profitable as an investment.
349  Economy / Gambling / Re: Email SCAM: "receive Free Bitcoin and Ethereum With Bitcasino" on: October 07, 2019, 02:09:15 PM
Just read on lcb forum, that BitCasino.io issued a warning about circulating email scam.  " It’s important for you to know that the email contained fraudulent Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet addresses where you were asked to deposit funds to receive future interest. These are NOT BitCasino.io wallet addresses, please do not transfer any funds."

"BitCasino.io's investigations have confirmed that their third-party email software Customer.io was compromised, which resulted in fraudulent emails being sent out to a pre-defined group of players.

Currently, BitCasino.io found out that in 24 hours three transactions were made to the fraudulent wallet addresses, totalling 0.00037299 BTC and 2.0665 ETH. This situation and wallet address will be monitored further
"

This is why I don't easily trust announcements that are sent via email. My personal principle before I follow any instructions, I confirm first the email and ask my irl friend if he also receive that and we will both wait for the confirmation or like public announcement about it. It sucks to see that there are really people in every industry that will do this sort of things for personal greed. The reputation of not just that forum but also the whole industry is affected with this news.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Answers on: October 06, 2019, 04:24:28 PM
Someone send me a message asking me that how will i know when if bitcoin will go up or down when trading? and is trading based on luck? when i decide to answer the question openly, trading is risky as well but you can indeed limit your loss if you know when to trade.

1. When to trade
I belief that the best time to trade is right when bitcoin recovery takes place, the moment price stability occurs is another good time for trading or when price start surging.

2. How to trade
Actually in trading you need to put aside your greed, once greed gets over you losses will follow, limit your daily trading too or you will open door to losses, trade twice a day is enough, always use low amount when trading, do not trade with big amounts, slow trading wins the race.

i am not perfect as well and i have lost some money in trading before i figured this out on my own and it works for me.

When to trade is when the indeed the market heals from sudden drop. That is best time to buy or invest when the prices are still lower and wait until the prices start to rise up again. Waiting for the pump can be a long time or short, we have no guarantees. Slow trading is also a good start to practice your skills and you will learn from the experience.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: October 06, 2019, 03:51:43 PM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.

But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins, how about you do you remember your losses when you win a big amount and do you calculate your losses and ask if the winning is worth it?

I have a relative which is into lotto where everyday he spends like at least 100 php or about 2 usd every day. Here in Philippines, many old men are into that stuff because the jackpot price is in millions php. I asked him why he still plays lotto even though he had never win even one, then he told he have these 6 lucky numbers that meant much to him so he tries his luck and that 100 php a day isn't that much unless you won't look back to how many you have spent and loss.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn free altcoin ?? on: October 06, 2019, 03:23:03 PM
I have been in the crypto world since a long time but i have not been able to make my portfolio and never earned anything...i dont have much cash that i can buy many different coins....i have only 0.01 btc right now Embarrassed
Please tell me ways if there are any to earn some different types of altcoins to slowly build up my portfolio with some valuable coins...

You can be a bounty hunter where you can earn tokens from working with advertising in forums, social media, and even create content like articles in websites and videos in YouTube. But not all of those projects are legit so be careful which project you will choose. You could also bet in gambling sites if you think you have the skills in card games or luck in dice games.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: October 06, 2019, 02:46:07 PM
I always measure gambling from the level of risk and reward and i do believe that, this is the reason why cryptocurrencies traders, binary option traders, and forex traders are been referred to as gamblers by those that did not know how there work, as it is possible to have your entire accounts wipe out if you take risk with all your funds and at the same time it is also possible to double or triple your funds by just small movement in you favour.
It is almost impossible to come out with profits in binary options and a lot of strategies are out there and I have tried many of them. One thing is very common and that is: the gambling companies keep making money and binary option websites owners are among millionaire in their countries. My question is that,  is binary options part of the gambling industry as it deals with betting?

The main difference of those things from the online gambling we know of is that online gambling is instant and aside from the fact that it can be profitable is that online gambling is for entertainment value. The two only mixes when you consider the act of gambling as a way of living or simply a job. By all means, gambling is just a hobby for me and all the money you can conjure from playing it is barely enough to sustain the activity most of the times. Binary options and other trading activities are in a form of investment - that is a product of a lot of planning and studying the trends in the market. Those are one of the things you won't see in a normal online gamble.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: October 06, 2019, 02:12:54 PM
Back in the day, Vitalik once said that crypto will be going to zero. There has been many concerns about the longevity of cryptocurrency as a serious form of money, given that it's relatively unstable within the mainstream world. It's been 10 years since Bitcoin was created where crypto has had its ups and downs. However, many are afraid that crypto will be going to zero as the blockchain hype ends and governments start rolling their own digital currencies. When we take a look at most cryptocurrencies on the market, most of them aren't even useful at all. Perhaps, the only one is Bitcoin but it's terrible as a currency for daily transactions.

Which is why, I'm starting to wonder if crypto will really go to zero in the future? If this happens, then most of us will lose our hard-earned money as crypto becomes worthless. What are your thoughts? Huh

I don't think that cryptocurrency will ever drop to zero value because crypto has already been established and recognized by many other industries like hotels, online shopping, online gambling, and many more. Crypto will always have a value even though we experience some troubles in the market because of the decreasing demand. That problem is temporary and even though it is guaranteed that we will experience that again, I know this industry can and will survive those issues.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: October 06, 2019, 01:32:19 PM
Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.

It's never been easy because the pressure is in your hands. It is also difficult to get passed through that emotions and betting against the majority will increase the pressure further. But if you gonna ask me, I will choose what I want even though it is against everyone else's bet. You need to learn how to deal differently those two things are. Like, do your best as a fan of your fave club but as a gambler, you can wish your inner self that the other team will win.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Is The Right Time To Trade Your Tokens on: October 06, 2019, 12:14:43 PM
I just saw this article posted in Medium and this is so interesting. It will help you to know when is the right time to trade your altcoins to earn big profits!

This article entitled "The battle for $10000". Enjoy reading!
Link: https://medium.com/mark-price/the-battle-for-10000-d6abfdfee151

Whenever you feel like it because in the end, whatever happens, it is yourself that will benefit or it is still only your fault. You could check out the market and speculate with the current trend but in the end of the day, your decision is not for sure will yield the maximum profit. Just try to find the line where at least more than your capital so you won't lose much.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Poker vs Live Casino Poker on: October 06, 2019, 10:47:40 AM
Well, I experienced this yesterday. My friend and I decided to gamble at a live casino and he gamble there in poker and sit on the table.
I have an idea in player poker in Online casino but I did not try to play in Live casino. At that moment while watching him playing I think it is very easy to identify your opponent's faces and defeat than in online gambling casinos.

Which do you prefer to gamble poker in an online casino or in live casinos?

Indeed, can you consider that Live casinos is have an advantage over online casinos?

Whether live or online, I still can't hide my emotions while playing poker. When you see your opponents face, they often gives hint or something about their cards especially if they are amateurs. I've watch people with incredible poker skills and it is vert different compare to online gambling. But I prefer online poker more because I value anonymity so I can enjoy the game more.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: October 05, 2019, 05:30:22 PM
Really if there is anyway to erase scammers off crypto space it would have been better, 2019 would have bring better results for altcoins if not for scam projects everywhere scamming new investors, now scammers are scaring off new crypto investors wannabe since there is no trust or whatsoever and investors don't want to lose money either, whatever the next altcoin results is going to be will not be huge as many expected due to investors not trusting new altcoins anymore, no wonder why binance launchpads are selling out in seconds.

If crypto space is just like how binance managed IEO project in return for their own reputation altcoins will be skyrocketing right now because much more money will flow in, exchanges like binance is giving out trust investment that i really hope the entire altcoin space can do the same but its a shame scammers are robbing off the trust

It will be almost impossible to filter out scammers from legit projects but there are ways. One is to confirm the identity of the people behind the project. Not all pictures of the CEO or the dev team you see are legit. I have a friend that encountered a project that is actually a scam and they used stolen pictures from other legit projects.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: October 05, 2019, 04:58:59 PM
Sport betting is strange when it wants to be, it never a sure fact the impossibility can turn possible.
When booking a bet many bets on what the majority had placed before hand.
What am I saying betting site releases games for betting and gives an option where you see what others has selected and very often it's the one with the lower odd that  people place bet on.

Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.

How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank

The majority vote can guide you which of the team is the crowd favorite, which has strong assets, and which as the least risks of losing. Though it is not correct all the time. Especially in esports, between the two teams, one can lead in the first half but the other team can still have chance to fight back and lead until the end of the game. I've seen this too many times in DOTA and LoL competitions.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many ICO / altcoin scams? on: October 05, 2019, 04:25:47 PM
Hi, many people are still complaining how many ICOs ended up as a scam.
The cryptocurrency idea is to create a free worldwide decentralized ecosystem. Free for all, for honest but also for dishonest people. It is free market and you should protect yourself before losing your money. You don´t like it? Then you do not understand crypto.

No one likes to be scammed so don't fool your money around. Every investment has their respective risks and it is indeed not easy to find a legit project that has a great potential to grow in this industry. There are many good projects out there but very are becoming successful because the project team promised to much and the investors expected too much.
