I would highly recommend using the AMD 16.12.2 drivers that Claymore says to use for the Rx 400 series with his miner. It looks like your Zcash hashrate is just fine, but if your Eth hashrate has dropped without you changing the clocks at all then I would uninstall the drivers, use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode to remove any traces of AMD drivers left over and then reboot and install the AMD 16.12.2 drivers.

I have checked FAQ for nicehash but i dont understand it very clearly i dont see under the hood changes that can be made for miner settings, for example, how to add a --intensity 5 for example, instead of the default. I have used textpad for example and searched the entire nicehash directory looking for strings in files which i can change, i dont win with this. Its just weird. I was mining at like a rate of like 1.84 and then i remember i just wanted to reboot and flush the system, maybe i jynxed it. When i started Nicehash miner again it was mining so dam bad like at a rate of 1.65 i mean how in the space of a reboot time.
Anyways , another one, if i know i always had 280-290 solid stable hash/second on ZECMINER64.exe (this is what was running) BUT like now its like well never mind it says 284 now maybe its okay?
But serious it was like 170 or something ridiculous earlier.
The EthDcrMiner64.exe i know i GOT 24 MH/s always...but like now for some bloody reason it is always 21 or 22 i dont understand it...
Maybe its the pool or the shares like u guys say ? or maybe i dont know?
Anyways Nicehash for me always chooses the XMR-STAK-CPU program and i get a hash rate of about 230 h/s to 245 hash/s .
I can say that my speed on nicehash does seem to always says 235 around there.... it used to earn me 32 cents BUT now for some reason i am earning 42 to 48 cents.

I used to see SGminer sometimes, but im glad its not running i find SGMiner to be rubbish , for my liking anyways.

As for drivers GPU-Z says 17.4.2 (beta) hell i dont know why beta.

Hi, i dont know where to post a general Nicehash or mining comment so i chose here.
I just got a new Radeon RX470 card and it was mining so nicely for a few days non 24/7 though .
My ethereum speed was 24MH/s no overclocking stuff and my zcash speed was 280-290 odd solutions/s.
I have been fanning the room but the temperatures mostly got to 73 degrees but its starting winter now here in the south so i barely get 70 it sits at 69 with Zcash and maybe 71 with ethereum i dont know why the one is hotter.
My mining earning was like 1.85 USD to 2.09 and i dont know but now all of a sudden this weekend its been horrible, my earnings are like 1.55 to 1.65 i dont understand what has gone wrong, is my card faulty now and old a moldy ? like it is hurt or something?
I am sure I have installed the correct drivers…and I am running windows 7 64 bit.
I have been uninstalling and re-installing drivers… and i have been rebooting. i dont understand it, but my earnings in Nicehash says 1.52 now on the GPU alone. i dont get it really i dont i feel sad now.
The other day it was pumping and it was showing 2.19 for the GPU alone …it was like super amazing - the hashes stayed at about 290/s
I dont get it , now my speed is like 22 MH/s for the Ether and 265 270 for Zcash i dont understand what i have done wrong or what is broken or what i dont understand about how this works maybe
The 30-60 odd cents means a lot to me.
Please help me understand what I am doing wrong and or if my dream is over ?

Hi, i am looking and looking and not sure what to do, follow the theory of just buying the cheapest card , if there is a theory like that?
I have 1 PowerColor 4GB RedDevil.
I want to get another card.
Do i just get another PowerColor ?
Or is it fine to get a different card like.... and my choices are Nitro+ 4GB...but now somebody told me to get the 8GB version as it is quicker in terms of ram.
In USD money it is about 30 dollars more or less , i am not from USA but i just used that example.
My other choice is XFX 470 4GB the one with 2 fans , i see there seem to be 3 versions of this card....i will certainly not take the 1 fan version
My last choice is another PowerColor 4gb Devil
Or do i just buy the cheapest card and not worry about RAM speed and clock speed?
Asus and Gigabyte seem to have good deals at times....but i am not sure about heat and stuff....
I notice in particular the ASUS ram speed is only 6600 and not 7000 (gbps that is) not sure he exact technical story

I thought you could mine Decred with this Claymore miner but then i read the documentation or the help screen, it seems to do it for you? although it says no, i dont think i understand
I have had an interest in this for a while now maybe 4-5 weeks and i recently just bought 1 card.

I just wish i know what i can try mine with my current gfx cards and then my i7 2600k cpu which is very old or my amd x4 860.

Hello community , unsure where to post this, but appreciate the help. How do u know if a CPU is good at mining before u buy it ? I find this a challenge, where do u check this? www.cpubenchmark.net is not a good indication of this i find, or maybe i dont know what to check? I really want to know because i am told you can buy a really cheap CPU like an AMD operton or INTEL celeron and it can be as good good as an i3 or xx phenom. Really bizzare, but i have tested this theory and it seems with the 5 computers i have tested, the CPUs on cpubenchmark show different results to real actual mining. For example mining against AEON.... AMD X4 860K mines at 115 hashes/second and the i7 2600K mines at 210 hashes/second BUT on cpubenchmark it is not the same stats... Another example, using an Intel E6300 u get 45 hashes/per second and this is almost half of the AMD x4 860k and they are years and years apart in manufacturing and even speed... But why only almost 2.1 times faster, it just doesn't make sense to me. Therefore , for me i need to know what or where to check this information and what to check for , can i use www.cpubenchmark.net as this gauge ? I really want to know this more clearly. Thanks |

Hey , okay please let me know what celerons, i dont know i just typed 6th generation celeron and cpu mark, but i cant get anything that looks english to me. So example, can u find me on this site - http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ CPUs that are better than mine which are celeron? So u reckon they are cheaper than going i5 or i7 or Xeon ? Also based on my original post... is it better that i buy a PSU rather than a "play around to test graphics card" with what i have currently? |

Then go with the Cooler Master Vangaurd 750watt semi modular as it looks it is gold certified 80 which is great and can hold up to 4 RX 480 not easily but should be able to do it great if you add a processor which consumes very little like i3 6100 only 47watt, use SSD and RAM ddr 4 together 10 watt and a good motherboard like MSI with 60 watt maximum power consumption.
So let's conclude, 4 X RX 480 at full power are 600 watt + 47 watt processor + SSD,RAM 10 watt+ 60 watt motherboard.
In total we have 717 watt at full power.
Yes this PSU can be your ideal choice for the price you are asking, only if you fulfill the other requirements I have told, keeping low power consumption components for your build.
Remember that while the GPU-s will be in full power, the other components in the stats of mining are not being consumed to their full power so again I think this is a safe bet for you the Cooler Master Vangaurd 750

dude listen to this, this guy who lives up the road from me, dont know why BUT he has a decent Radeon 7,,,,, something and its proper i have seen it it has like 2 power connectors, its Saphire. He has 2 blu-ray players and 2 dvd roms i dont know what the hell for , but he has this nice graphics card he doesnt even play games or anything. damit. I dont even have an optical drive, my current AMD X4 860k processor uses min power. 75 watt i think. Regarding the PSU you can never go wrong with Corsair brand. If you want to run maximum 4 cards for mining (in my example I considering 4 x RX 480 Gpu-s you need a good 800-850 watt) the HX 850 from Corsair which is gold certified should do the job perfectly without any hiccups.
As for the Gpu-s it depends on what do you want to mine. If you like mining Nvidia friendly algorithms you have to go with 2-3 Nvidia GTX 1070 or 4 GTX 1060 at least, buy them one by one. Zcash ,Lbry and Pascal coins are the most friendly algorithms to mine with such cards.
If you need a in general mining different altcoins for the moment go as I already said with 4 RX 480 GPU-s . Soon RX 490 will be with us so that must be a good choice of course.
Doubt the RX490 is coming anytime soon, and it would be awesome to drop the RX480 prices down. I would not even consider nVidia ever again at this point in time when the RX470/RX480s are great price-performing cards, at least what i have heard and seen. I cant really understand graphs o websites anymore i dont know how real they are If you can verify and help me with my choices of the power supplies which i can choose, then please, thanks.
