341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 04, 2020, 10:09:39 AM
Many people I know formed a bias that cryptocurrencies are inherently risky and you shouldn't invest in them more than you can afford to lose.

I agree with the above statement in a certain extent, but I'd like to ask the community. Is it riskier to place your money in Bitcoin or hold them in a fiat savings account? What's your opinion?

So curious to see the response especially today when we live in times of crisis.

Of course there are lots of risks and they were, are and always will be in every direction where money and some kind of assets are used or involved. And of course the advise worked always to invest sone amount that is not the last on your wallet. In case of losing it will not be so painfully. And it does not depend on whete exactly you are keeping your assets or money - bank or crypto account, or even at home. It is the mistaken belief to consider crypto as more risky)) Bank may be closed unexpectedly, money of your country may be devaluated and so on.  In my opinion assets or money should work and be multiplied in other language what is the sense in it to hold them under your pillow - just multiply them and be ready to risk  or just live from day to day and spend them for your joy, but don't let them to lie dead weight ))
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not so far from getting BTC globally accepted! Pornhub now accepts BTC & LTC. ;) on: September 02, 2020, 06:43:02 AM
So crypto is more and wider adopted by different services and sites)))) for people who likes to watch sites of such kind it is a big bonus - you do not have to use your credit or debit card, and it is easier and faster to pay for it. But it seems to me that not so many people pay for this. I think that there are lots of videos for free))) so what is the purpose to pay for it?
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 30, 2020, 07:32:33 PM
Bitcoin is a famous and valuable digital currency in crypto world. Many hackers using it on their evil deeds, that's why many people says that bitcoin is useful for criminals and people involved with them. But despite that, bitcoins value keep on increasing and many others also said that bitcoin is important because of the technology that makes it work.

During this time that we are experiencing difficulties because of pandemic ,I can say that bitcoin is what we really need. Why? What is the importance of bitcoin now?
     >Bitcoin is so important during this time of pandemic that we need to take care of ourselves and for our families and loved ones to not be infected with the virus.

     >Bitcoin is intangible, you can't touch or handle it unlike fiat money that hold by different hands and it is prone to viruses.

     >Bitcoin serves as an instrument for online payments away from covid 19 and with the ability to transact internationally beyond the framework of financial regulation.

     >Millions of people have lost their job because of this pandemic. Why not use this bitcoin as a substitute to your work in order to earn money to sustain the needs of your family.
I know  there are other ways to earn but in terms of safety from virus outside our home much better to earn money using bitcoin. Also, there are many ways to earn it.

During this pandemic we need to: Stay at Home
                                                     Stay Safe
Stay Positive and Earn with Bitcoin

Not only Bitcoin, but crypto in general made lots of people to be interested more deeply in digital world, in Blockchain, in lots of opportunities they give for those people who stay at home because of any reason, or have to because of the quarantine, or may be it was their desire to change something in their lives and go into some other direction like online money making, investing or even trading. And this situation showed that crypto and BTC have lots of positive sides and preferences comparing with jobs in offices.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Barriers preventing you from using bitcoin today/advantages of using bitcoin? on: August 30, 2020, 06:49:56 PM
Lots of benefits that were mentioned in the list are really true. And most of them were preferable to me that is why Bitcoin made me to be so interested in it one day. But as for my country there is not so much things and services that you can buy or pay for. I even would admit you can buy something may be via some private way in order you and the opposite person are decided to do so. Because  crypto officially  were not allowed nor forbidden here. Only this year crypto should be mentioned in your declaration of your income but nothing else. No other regulations or allows to use crypto officially. Lots of people prefer not to use it for lots of other eyes seeing. ))) But in case it is something online - yes, of course Bitcoin and crypto have lots of more suitable moments for people and for me in comparence with banking cards.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have shared about bitcoin on my class on: August 29, 2020, 08:22:38 PM
I'm having an MBA degree on Marketing. Due to COVID19, we are having classes online. However, we had a term paper submission and presentation on "Deceptive Advertising". I have selected the freebitco advertisement and had presented their Bait and Switch method to attract newbies to have click on their site.
The advertisement is- "Win $200 bitcoin per hour" which I think totally a deceptive advertising. Through this, I was able to give a little hints about bitcoin among my fellow mates and my teacher. I felt lucky when teacher asked me what bitcoin is actually after my presentation, I gave a short answer to them.
This was really great achievement of me, it may not be to you. I feel lucky if I get a chance to talk about bitcoin among my country men.

Interesting way of showing people what Bitcoin is and what Bitcoin is not))) Good example really to clarify people starting from something deceptive and after this to give the good explanation what is the real thing. May I ask you - have your teacher understood what the Bitcoin is? And what his reaction was after that? Because my father, for example, do not want even to try to listen about BTC and crypto. He does not believe that something like this is possible and that it really works and Blockchain is not the myths, but our nowadays reality)) so really interesting to read about your teacher's reaction
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: August 29, 2020, 07:57:34 PM
Previous Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5222426.msg53752319#msg53752319

I like making these threads because it's interesting to see how Bitcoin has changed people's lives. So how has Bitcoin helped you in your life?

For me personally, I use Bitcoin to accept money from people instantly.

Totally I would say. It changed my thoughts, my way of thinking and I understood that there is lots of interesting things, ideas and instruments for this. I have met lits of interesting people and friends that are in the world of crypto. It was something like you have found the absolutely another road that was always near you but you did not notice it. And nowadays it is not about Bitcoin, but I stoped to be afraid of risks to lose, and used to look something new all the time that will develop me and will help to move on.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Germany Continues Shutting All Unlicensed Bitcoin ATMs on: August 29, 2020, 05:07:33 AM

The Federal Financial Regulation Authority (FFSA) or BaFin, the body responsible for overseeing cryptocurrency service providers, was in the midst of cracking down on both illegal and unregulated Bitcoin ATMs.

According to a Bitcoinnews.com article, the closure accompanies a regulation that took effect last January ordering crypto-service operators to receive BaFin authorization.

German BaFin regulators have found a range of illegal Bitcoin ATMs running in Germany, and at least one firm, the Estonia-licensed Virtual Planet OÜ operated by the Shitcoin Club, has issued an order to halt the activity of Bitcoin ATMs in the region, according to the article.

Another central Bitcoin ATM provider, Coin Fellows, was told to stop all activities in Germany by the end of July.

Bitcoin traders in Germany opposed the closure, arguing that the BaFin criteria are too stringent for small enterprises and are best appropriate to banks and major financial entities.

The U.S. Department of Justice has already started cracking down on illegal bitcoin ATMs and recently confiscated 17 computers in California, according to the article.

Of course it's may be a real true story) and of course in case there was violations in the registration and installation of this ATM equipment, of course this activity should be stopped according to the jurisdiction of country. But I think that there is something more hidden behind this criminal story. It looks a bit strange that so many ATMs were opened and has not been the point of concern to the government and governmental institutions earlier, while it was the process of installing of this equipment. Because it is not just a box, that you can just put somewhere in the supermarket or on the street. More over in Germany or in California.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: August 28, 2020, 05:52:43 PM
Rome wasn't built in a day, and Bitcoin won't take off to the moon right now. It will take a lot of improvement, a lot of new technology and a lot of hard work.

The people who buy in rallies and sell during bear markets and then don't believe in bitcoin anymore are clowns. If the price went to 25k in the next few months I guarantee it that the community will double maybe even quadruple in just a few days.

And then if it dropped back to 15k, suddenly most of these people will disappear again. They won't believe in bitrcoin and they will not care.

If you don't want your money to be created by bankers and the government at their whim the actual price of bitcoin is secondary. Bitcoin is a central part of the puzzle when it comes to the people getting back their sovereignty.

It would be too harsh  to name someone clown, sorry)) Everyone has his own strategy) but there are always people and they will always be that do not have any strategy or clear idea what they do or what they plan to do. Very often it does not depent on wheather people  believe or not believe, they just act impulsive and that is all. Lots of people just try to earn and that is all, they do not believe not only in Bitcoin but even different other things. They just act without any beliefs))) everyone has his own choice. And I would add that without all such kind of people like newbies or just impulsive people there will not be whales, crypto millionaries and so on.))) 😁😁😊 Everything should be balanced)))
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laws of Bitcoin on: August 28, 2020, 05:30:00 PM
I adore all these points!))) Perfect list I would like to admit. But the most I like the last one - 8th. I would replace it to the first place, on the top of this list and all existing lists like this one. And I would add this point - every time be ready to lose because there is always such a risk in every direction where assets and investments are. Lots of people forgot about this golden rule and after they lose something they do not blame themselves for their recklessness, but they blame others, different processes and coins and so on)))
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK hospital launches rehab programme for bitcoin addiction on: August 28, 2020, 04:35:04 PM
Hahaha 😄 Excuse my so may too frank reaction and emotions)))) In my opinion there was a genius person who decided to fulfil such an idea to create something like that and even launch the idea via hospital and special program to treat people of the addiction that does not exist)))) first my thought was - what a silly thing)) but after reread post It hit me - what a genius thing is to use some popular thing and create the addiction to it, organise the real program, implement this program into some institution and really to make money on this fiction with a very serious face))) in such case it should appear the separate direction for treating people that have the money addiction )))) The whole planet will become patients of this program and these doctors will become millionaries))
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam victims on: August 27, 2020, 08:18:00 PM
Do you know of any resources to help victims of crypto scams recover their losses?

I was a victim of one made by coinkast.io where they had me pay more money to release my funds and then they kept adding additional fees... so basically I lost $100k+ and I need to recover it someone especially since much of that were loans I took out.

Any help or links to agencies that can help would be appreciated...

Thank you in advance

It is a pity to write such words, but there is a slight chance to get something that you lost. Because to prove your losses or to find persons that will be able to return your lost assets is extremely hard in most cases. And of course there are some agencies that investigate such cases I am sure but not so many people can tell us the happy results of such investigations. I lost assets when I started in crypto world because I did not have the experience in this direction. But I would like to admit that even having the good experience nobody will guarantee you that you will be secured from losses. So just forget. And be very attentive and more selective next time..
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: August 26, 2020, 10:15:35 AM
It's a bad idea teaching old people to use bitcoin. Mostly old people in my country don't know how to use cellphone or computer. But if they knew, what will be in their mind if you introduce bitcoin to them? In news, bitcoin always mention because in our country many investment scam use bitcoin as their mode of payment. Old people always watch news, and if I'll introduce it to them they'll avoid it and think that it is a scam.

I am agree with your statement that television plays a key role in eldery people's choices. Lots of them still do not understand that TV is just a huge mechanism of manipulations. Sometimes even in case people among elders use computers, Internet and even online means for payments or so, they still used to believe to the news and statements of government representatives. But I saw and met among elder people lots of who are very deeply involved into crypto world and even always hold their finger on the pulse on the new directions in crypto like DeFi, different new projects and so on. In my opinion it is better to choose people who are active in life in general. Because those elder people who prefer stating at home and watching TV, live only for payments from the government, they will not be ready to leave their comfortable armchairs and to accept changes even with some perspectives. It would be easier to explain the topic of Bitcoin and crypto, because active people in life in general are more open to the new views and information, they are not afraid of trying something new and to change something in their usual life. And first of course - it is better to show them new opportunities that may appear in their lives in case of using crypto and Blockchain.

354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: May 08, 2020, 07:49:59 AM
This pandemic situation had not good impact on our lives. Lots of people because of the lockdown had to stay at home, sometimes even being jobless. As for me the crypto and BTC itself helped me not to concentrate on different negative things that were because of the quaranten and even to earn a little. Crypto is good choice nowadays. But of course it is too risky to do something here without any knowledge))) so everyone who has just started should learn a lot about crypto first.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin popped $10 000 on: May 08, 2020, 07:41:21 AM
Yes, great news!! After couple of years that brought losses we are all keeping our fingers on the pulse nowadays)) this morning brought good news)) the position 10k was pleasant to see)) despite it fallen a little down now, but the price is really better comparing with previous years) hope this year will be more profitable))))
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friday the 13th unlucky for Bitcoin too! on: April 21, 2020, 05:33:07 PM
In my opinion only superstitious people can connect some things or events that can not be connected at all. And after that explain just ordinary things through something mystical. It is like the black cat))) it is only colour, but lots of people see some mystical signs in it))) Bitcoin is not an exception. Every year and every month something happens to it's price)) and even every day)))) because it is a market))) and it can not every time be in increase or in decrease all the time))
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: April 20, 2020, 07:24:28 PM
There are many ways to promote bitcoin. You can watch this video (https://youtu.be/qzwf1AQxqM0) of mine to learn more on several ways in which you can contribute to the promotion of bitcoin. I hope the video is helpful because making it was like building Rome (Rome was not built in a day).😁😁
I'll be very grateful if you can list more ways so we all can have something we can do to support the growth of bitcoin. Thanks a lot for promoting bitcoin. Yea, that reminds me; you can make bitcoin arts too and publicise them.

Funny!!))) Nice video)) have never watched it before)) interesting ways to promote BTC)))) In my city there is a beer shop))) and it was named Beer Coin, the letter "B" looks like the BTC symbol))) we visited this shop just because of the interest))))) of course we have not found bitcoins there)) the beer only)) but it looked really curious))
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 the year of Bitcoin technology getting accepted by governments on: April 20, 2020, 06:16:11 PM
2020 will be the year when more governments are going to be including blockchain in their systems to become more transparent and more reliable in order to offer a better service to their citizens.

Also, BTC will be more popular this year because since 2018 was mentioned a lot if the media, even when they talk in bad way about it, Bitcoin keeps growing, even negative news is good for the network of networks!

So many people are still just knowing bitcoin but can't understand the concept of decentralization yet! they just don't get it! because they have been indoctrinated for decades, and know it is more difficult for them to understand one important word: decentralization!

2020 it seems to me will be remembered because of COVID-19 more, it is a pity, of course...and lots of people nowadays refocused their attention to the problems of how to earn, staying at home. And of course freelancers and people who are going into the crypto world, they have more benefits than those who left their offices and stay at home without any income. So digital coins are more preferable nowadays for lots of people. I think that yes, BTC will become even more popular in future.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Means of Donation on: April 20, 2020, 04:59:15 PM
Donations succesfuly work and help to save lives, or develop some projects or technologies. Why not to use Bitcoin for this? In some way it may give you some benefits. You may send coins directly in BTC without conversion and without losses on enormous fees. And it is great that such organizations accept BTC like the means. It seems to me that it is a positive signal for the BTC's adoption by the society.
360  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GLOBAL PANDEMIC - BLESSING IN DISGUISE on: April 20, 2020, 01:38:43 PM
The truth of the matter is this global pandemic is really changing lives and changing nations. Things that we gave little attention to like regular washing of hand, the use of sanitizers and social distancing is now a must. Some of our leaders are now building huge facilities to curb down the situation. The most important thing is when everything calms down the  world is going to view the digital currency in a different spectacle which cryptocurency is going to be a great beneficiary. Lets calm down and stay safe since we are not in normal times. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. The cashless world will be coming soon  Smiley

In my opinion this pandemic situation in the whole world will change and is changing nowadays already not only the world of crypto and digital assets, but lots of different directions where we act, earn or whatever. For example people throughout the world started to study via online, and lots of governmental institutions implement lots of online services. Even private companies and restaurants use nowadays online services)))) of course it is possible not with every direction. Lots of them need your physical presence. but digital payments and online services nowadays are really popular, even there are an urgent need in them. But I am not sure that fiat or some physical assets will disappear at all))))) for example in my country government adopted a law that will tightly regulate the cashing out and digital money payments and transactions . In my opinion lots of people will start to use more fiat in this case)))
