3441  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 04, 2013, 11:51:36 PM
how much did it cost for council to read this thread alone?

 Not relevant to the case.
3442  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 04, 2013, 11:47:51 PM
I love the flipping back and forth from "I want to keep my order." to "BFl are scammers, and I will bring them down."

That is dishonest. I have never stated, or implied, EVER, that Butterfly Labs are scammers (your words, not mine). Did I raise questions and concerns that have been well documented ? Yes. Lied, slandered, or made false statements ? I certainly hope not.

I do not believe Butterfly labs to be "scammers" as I own their past generation product. It has never been about "bringing them down", contrary to whatever preconceived notions you may have.

We have enough people on these forums spreading FUD and lies. I do not aspire to be one of those people.
3443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 04, 2013, 11:04:15 PM
Did your counsel also advise you to remove posts from your post history?

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. (Saw you post it on the BFL forums as well before Josh deleted all my well-reasoned posts and started taunting me again. Amused I've spawned a copypasta)

To answer your question, no. My posts have no bearing on matters moving forward.

Have only deleted two posts to the best of my recollection. One image macro I created, and the famous "Eat a back of dicks" post, that I have formally apologized for on at least three separate occasions for anyone keeping score. In retrospect, I should not have deleted my posts on principle.

Do I apologize for getting heated, upset, and incensed by Josh's behavior and acting out in an atypical fashion ? Yes.

I should have kept my cool. I didn't. I apologize again. Yet another time.

No, I don't expect this to change anything.
3444  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 04, 2013, 10:09:27 PM
Why on god's green earth would they ever consider reinstating an order for you?

Because my council has informed me Butterfly Labs has broken the law.

Patience. All will be revealed in time.

(It's not too late to do the right thing, Josh, and work this out as adults)

Now you are talking in my opinion. Admit you have behaved like a tit. Say sorry and ask them to reinstate your order. And lose the bad attitude. Good luck.

You evidently have not been paying attention.

I have already taken the high road twice, and apologized. Once (or twice?) on here, and once on the BFL forums a couple days ago.

Josh laughed it off, deleted my posts, and continued with his pattern of taunting.

He is not taking this seriously and still thinks I'm bluffing Sad

Finally, I'm not the one with the initial bad attitude if you follow the history of this dispute. I can appreciate that you are firmly entrenched in BFL's camp, but don't ignore facts and convince yourself that blame lies solely with me.
3446  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Open letter to Theymos regarding Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 04, 2013, 09:25:44 PM
You seem to think we're private detectives, or the cops. How are we supposed to know what they're doing? Open an investigation? Flash our moderator badge and hand over our BITCOINTALK.ORG warrant? If people feel comfortable leaving their money with them, that's fine and dandy by me, who the hell are we to stop them?

This is part of the unspoken social contract I mistakenly assumed we had with forum administrators, with the hopes you were good shepherds of this community.

I see this is not the case.

 Laissez-faire indeed.

Don't worry BadBear, I'm doing your work for you.

 Stay tuned.

3448  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMINER Blade Sales on: June 04, 2013, 05:28:04 PM
These still available? Trying to get enough BTC together, but seems to be no one getting answers here lately.

Seemingly still available. Just placed an order for a blade with friedcat this morning.

Giant setup thread with guide here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205369.0

Thanks a bunch, gents. Just sent payment to friedcat for purchase of a blade !
3450  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: ASICminer Block Eruptor [10-13Gh/s] model on: June 04, 2013, 08:04:08 AM
... additionally, how no idea how to power the AM blades :| I'm terrified of stripping electrical wiring :|

It's very simple to get going.  Just take an adapter you have lying around like a molex to SATA adapter, cut it in half, strip the cable back a couple millimeters, then insert the copper into the green terminal block.  2 minutes to make a little adapter then you can use any PC power supply.

Ok. Sounds easy enough. Emailed friedcat to order a single blade.

So I just connect the molex adapter to a power supply, strip two of the wires and plug it into the blade, set up Slush's Stratum proxy to point at Bitminter, and I'm ready to go, in theory ?

Ok, tempted to pull the trigger on one of these units. Shipping to USA.

- How is it so cheap ?
- On-board ethernet ? Wireless ? USB ?
- Dimensions of product ?
- Power supply ?
- If I place an order, and there is no significant product update in the next 29 days, I can be refunded my 32BTC ?
- When are working prototypes expected ?
- How long has this been and development, and what stage are they presently at ?

Considering I am a few days away from formally filing a legal complaint against Butterfly Labs, my feelings in this matter should be self-evident.

Xian has been banned again (Does this make the 3rd or 4th time?) and his posts removed. Same goes for Jordin.

Poor guy is spending thousands of dollars for nothing. I think he may be off his meds or something. Thanks for compiling all the memorable quotes by Xian. I see he's removed some of them, though, as they don't show up there. Love that rewriting history he's doing, heh.

As for the topic of the thread, it's gotten way too convoluted to deal with here. Your purchaser will need to contact CS directly and try to sort it out. I'm honestly not sure what's even happened at this point, if anything. To my knowledge, we have not started canceling orders yet, unless CS has instituted a new policy that I'm not currently aware of.

---

So lets see here

- Josh lies on the BFL forums to all his customers
- I call him on it in their own forums citing specific examples and even take the high road of formally posting an apology. Have my lawyer call Jordan to discuss his case.
- Josh deletes my well reasoned and cogent comments and continues his taunting

 See a pattern developing ?

Remember. I'm the bad guy here folks.

Hypocrisy: I post comments. Josh deletes them. I'm the one rewriting (or deleting) inconvenient history.
Irony: The thousands Josh is going to need to spend on their own lawyer when dealing with mine.

And on a personal note, I really cannot understand how or why he is acting so completely irrationally with respect to this, almost like he finds this funny or as a joke Sad This is not normal behavior. It's so easy for him to do the right thing here, and it's really sad we're now going to have to put Newton's Third Law into motion legally Sad

So much for trying to resolve this as adults.
3454  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Announces Bulk Chip Sales on: June 03, 2013, 10:05:50 PM
BFL Chips?  I think market is already flooded with Avalon chip orders.  With (almost) open source ref. design.
Why would someone want to buy BFL chips at this point? Do they offer better GH/s/Watt?
People who wanted to go DYI route have already done so.
Help me understand, what is so compelling about BFL chips that would make me buy few?

*Mumbles something about the four extra quarters worth of clues that you are buying per GHs/Watt*

I will order three units the moment something has been verified as a working product.

Good luck with the project. No more pre-orders for me considering all the scams attempted around here.

I would pay that range, but I was under the assumption that I needed to send the btc directly to ASICMiner and not via an escrow.

Have no fear sending the BTC to the ASICMiner people directly. friedcat is solid.

I'm awfully tempted to pull the trigger on buying a 10GH blade myself, but part of me wants to hold out for their next-gen product.
3458  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) CLOSED AND COMPLETED! on: June 03, 2013, 05:50:20 AM
Hey guys so with these usb devices should I try cgminer 3.2 or is that proven a no-go?

I've not been able to get 3.2.0 working under Windows yet Sad Still using 3.1.1 with the SiLabs driver.
3459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 1,998 remaining on: June 03, 2013, 04:18:58 AM
I am interested in purchasing 300 chips.

Am I to understand correctly, that upon your receipt of orders, you will be assembling the chips onto working units, for an additional cost per 16 chip board ? Complete with power supplies, cables, etc ?
3460  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB Porn Pt. II on: June 02, 2013, 09:39:03 PM
Maybe you are not THAT off in your ROI estimates if the ebay post announcing this setup (using your picture) keeps going higher ( and IF it's your post anyways Smiley )

I don't keep up with eBay listings. A user approached me about using my images. Said sure why not.
