hmmm no updates on the hardfork......one does wonder if they're trying to keep it secret to avoid too much hash power? Just 16 blocks away...this will be fun to watch  Shocked

The best part of this thread is that man can feel from thousands miles away all non-fucks microguy had given about it  Grin

well the numbnutz doesn't seem to give a fly fk at the damage he's doing to gld by artifically proping the market up with his buy orders,

as a gld support (and holder of more then a few), he banned me from his forum just for telling him to backoff his pump of gld Sad

Really? Wow

seriously I think he wants all the KoolAid to himself

You do all realise if the new idiotguy keeps buying up before retarget then its basically the same as premining ?
3464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Buy Goldcoins! on: June 12, 2013, 02:36:28 AM
Someone is interested in GLDCoin and has just put up a 370 LTC, nearly 1,000,000 GLD buy-wall on Cryptsy, with 2 other 70LTC buy-walls, one about the 1m buy-wall price and one slightly beneath it.

Edit 1: The price has gone up 19% since I originally made this topic asking you all to purchase it.

yeah its just the one numbnutz though: microguy....seems the lunatic has taken over the asylum Sad

Your description says you have community support.... you and your dog =\= community support

All shit clone coins since FTC always claim community support instead of actual innovation.

+1

fincen = USA

What about the other 95% of the population  Tongue
Also funny that most of these exchanges base themselves in the US.....dat just askin for trouble.

Well not really. The problem is, even if you are based OUTSIDE of the US, how do you accept USD deposits. And how do you send them when they are withdrawn.

That's why Mt.Gox had trouble in the US, they still had accounts there, even though they aren't based there.

So, how does an exchange get around that?

And why do you even need to accept USD?...hell I've been in btc from early on, never seen or touched a USD in my life. Simple don't trade in USD like 95% of the worlds population Wink

Yeah mate, think too many on here and the US gov seems to forget there's a big wide world out there outside of the USA.

3473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Coin (GLD) Info Thread - The Future of Digital Currency *UPDATE Binaries on: June 11, 2013, 12:35:49 AM
So, let me paint a little picture for you. GLD had a global hashrate of 7 MH/s, before you retards, paid people to mine it for you. Let's assume that the average person has 1 MH/s mining power....So, you had 7 people, mining GLD....7....7...See the issue here?

Wow, lol, I have more people ignoring me, than you have miners

Then why the 1 man crusade against gldcoin?

Yawn, the attack finished about 15 hours ago I think that was when the last string of orphans was reported.

There has also been a FTC client release 0.6.4.1 with checkpoints added that I suggest you grab.

This is a troll thread, sounds more like the opposition in an election campaign speech, more than a genuine concern.

Obviously BitcoinEXpress is trying to spread FUD as this is the second thread he has started on the topic now.

so do we grab release 0.6.4.1a or 0.6.4.1b?  Grin
There isn't an a or b.

Perhaps you should mine CNC and leave FTC to the adults.

dude my digital watch could 51% FTC

BTC, is pretty much impossible to 51% attack. Would take too much $$, to attack it in the first place, and to keep 51% up for any length of time, would cost even more $$
LTC, is the strongest Alt coin, with the most support. It is THE alt coin. If LTC fell, it wouldn't effect BTC at all, but it would kill every Alt coin below it. If LTC could be taken down so easily, with such a large global hashrate, what hope do the smaller coins have? Who would trust them?

There are no alt coins below LTC, they are all beside LTC, one does not depend on the others existence, it's not merge mining.

seriously they're all below LTC....if LTC fell the rest would be easy picking for whoever was bored enough.
3477  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: June 10, 2013, 12:00:43 PM

+1 As well, if needed, there are many more GH/sec, pointed at other Alt coins right now, that, I'm sure, most miners would divert in a heart beat, to protect LTC. Afterall, LTC falls, they all fall...

I don't understand what you mean, LTC is not THE important coin, BTC is. If LTC failed the other coins would go on.

Not at all, they'd not need a warmup and would have gone for LTC first. LTC legitimised iteslef somewhat by surviving earlier attacks, and not having been premined etc. and I'm no fan of LTC.
FTC  is just a pretend coin trying living off LTC success.

You could say LTC was a pretend coin trying to live off the BTC success. That's how inheritance works, each spinoff makes little changes.
LTC and BTC would die if they suddenly lost a substantial part of their net hash rate. Imagine what would happen to BTC if ASICMINER went bust and shut their mining operation.  FTC and several other coins have proved this, FTC made changes to compensate, which LTC and BTC have not done so, they are the high risk coins, only increasing mining activity keeps them from failure.

Yeah but LTC was done honestly and fairly and to work side by side with BTC....and its time out there legitimised it. FTC is equal to so many other alt coins out there just the dev try and pretend to the public its designed to work under LTC...which is bs.

FTC made changes to compensate lol.....mmm yeah sure dude it'll be lucky to survive the week.
3479  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: June 10, 2013, 10:10:04 AM

How does all of this relate to FTC and LTC in 2013?

The very same people that truly despised everything LTC back then that created the Scrypt GPU Miner to kill LTC are still around.

Well yes they are, but most have warmed to LTC especially compared to the current swarm of alt coin.

This attack on FTC is a simple warm up for LTC.

You can either regulate something or you can ban it, but you can't do both. Banning something means giving up the ability to regulate it, and that's an awfully high price to pay.

Agree, governements tend to outlaw what they can't regulate (especially if there's money/and or resources involved), and when they regulate something it tends to legitimise it.

People who are breaking the law anyway won't care if they're laundering drug money or financing terrorism, and they won't go the cops if they suspect people they're dealing with are doing bad things.

This I disagree with, this is kinda a broad stroke that assumes everyone breaking the law would have no boundaries. Lots of law breakers still have certain morals, certain lines they won't cross.
Someone may help launder drug money because they themselves think drugs shouldn't be illegal, but the same person might draw the line in dealing with a terrorist.
