2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 21, 2014, 10:19:42 AM
Now if we formed a pool, that is entirely a different matter. All we need is people to commit and someone who knows how to manage a pool.

funnily enough thats half of battlecoins plans I think  Smiley

+1 to what Spoetnik said.

Lots of knee jerk reactions to what in essence we are talking about is cleaning up the scams.
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin sCrypt = the next big thing. on: March 21, 2014, 05:17:55 AM
I clearly state that this is an obvious pump and dump.

Well I know where the pump side came from, I was buying up, guess a few longish holders who saw it many times their buy in dumped some (good on em), but I certainly dumped none of my buy ins.

This coin will do well longish with the right promotions, I think it can exceed ltc price (and I am not the only senior member who sees that potential).

Not so long ago people where laughing at me being a big ltc bagholder Wink (but my long holds I don't go the minute to minute evaluations and panic).
2504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin sCrypt | new Client v1.2 | NOW ON MINTPAL! on: March 21, 2014, 04:56:26 AM
I hold a few  Wink

Will keep buying on the swings, I think promoted right this thing could be a top ranked coin.
2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTC38.com - Crypto exchange launched its English sites on: March 21, 2014, 12:23:02 AM

I like BTC38 cause they don't have scam coins.

the day they add scam coins like Aurora or Vert, will be the day I stop using it. Smiley

Quark will probably go down as one of the biggest scams in alt history.
2506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PRE-ANN] Munich Project - Reinventing Bitcoin - Alt-coin / Wallet / Exchange on: March 20, 2014, 11:06:22 PM

If you read our paper, you'll see it's not possible to divide one of our coin by more than 100 (0,01 minimal unit).

The whole things a confusing waste of space......try the KISS principle.

Have you ever tried to understand the algorithms behind any coin?

They're all mind bending, even Elliptic curve cryptography, which is a basic part of it. The wiki page on it could be a gigantic piss take and I'd not have an inkling.

yes I was into that well before BTC ever came about lol, I was saying the guys write up on his coin is a confusing waste of space, and what can be understood is just taking pieces from here there and everywhere and making another clone crapcoin.

What is simpler that anybody on the earth knows : 1 cent is the smallest currency unit you can own. Works in every country.

Try to explain your grand-mother she can have 0,0000001 Bitcoin. That's a lot of zeros after the decimal point for the masses.

Donn

What I am saying is your whole write up is just a confusing rant (admittedly some of that maybe cause english is not your first language). Read the whole lot and don't see a single thing it improves on Bitcoin (and I am actually no real fan of bitcoin), yet you state "Reinventing Bitcoin"?

2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 10:27:56 PM
Is Bitcoin Scrypt for real? This is just going to confuse mainstream public. Not good, not good at all

Actually its one of the best ideas for a coin if ya looked into it.

"We don't want our coins to "flood" the market. In fact, we believe the key of the success is a good repartition of the coin creation over the time.

The first year will generate 16 Billions of coins."

lol

2511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 09:46:36 AM
Things really started to go downhill when Bitcoin hit $1200.

The IQ of new signups here has always been inversely proportional to the price of btc v USD Sad
2512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 04:07:54 AM
I think most the newbies don't realise, if this alt sections not cleaned up its likely to be gone for good. So weeding out the obvious scams is doing everyone a favor.
2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTC38.com - Crypto exchange launched its English sites on: March 20, 2014, 03:41:51 AM
The thing about BTC38 it started well and had high requirements for coins to be added, then just started adding coins that didn't meet this criteria  Sad
2514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the community should embrace LTC rather than BTC on: March 20, 2014, 03:20:26 AM
The amount of LTC hate in this forums is disgusting , people don't realize that the litecoin devs have contributed to many updates that help both bitcoin and litecoin. There's a reason Litecoin has a 450 million market cap.

Yes and there's a reason why its the base for most copy paste alts. Been around these alts for awhile and (even not looking at market cap), I'm yet to see an alt better then ltc.
2515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin sCrypt | new Client v1.2 | FIRST PLACE ON MINTPAL VOTES! on: March 20, 2014, 02:14:56 AM
What price are you all going to sell at, or is HODL the name of the game?

I personally never have a sell price, just hold til I see know further reason for a rise, with this plenty of upside yet and certainly wouldn't sell prior to being listed on a more popular exchange.
2516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin sCrypt | new Client v1.2 | FIRST PLACE ON MINTPAL VOTES! on: March 20, 2014, 02:10:19 AM
I mined this coin back in September. I said to myself i at lease need to grab some early encase it ever takes off, well this looks like its taking off to me. We can have our very own BTC all over again. No way am i selling for cheap

agreed I was buying up yesterday, its only a fraction of what it can get to when listed on more popular exchanges.
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 01:45:01 AM
Remember someone has to loose in order for you to win .. we can't all be winners ...

In crypto it is very possible and ideal to have a win win situation, you can have a situation where no one gets burnt.
2518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 01:12:55 AM
so their own dead shitcoins can be revived.

hence the choice of senior members; whos coin choices are doing pretty damn good Wink
2519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 01:10:40 AM

What is happening now is fraud and corruption; nothing else.
In my opinion, that seems to be what the OP wants to destroy and I support that position fully.

Yes what people are misunderstanding, is that its not about killing coins we don't like, but cleaning up and preventing fraud, many newbies who have fallen for these frauds are going to lash out against the cleanup of fraud.

However if you invest in coins with decent devs and communities you have nothing to fear.
2520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 12:42:04 AM
This is the most depressing forum i've read since i joined here not too long ago. So, a small group of people with vested interests are going to play god and decide the fate of coins rather than letting the people decide? Uh.. Sounds similar to the government...

If that vested interest means the survival of the alt coins and less scams, sounds fine to me.

btw the plan is to let the people decide, but mostly the senior members who are more interested in cryptos surviving then making fiat.
